Fantasy Cursed Island

Siege shrugged, "Yeah, but how many of them involve the prince?" She chuckled a little as she sat down on a bench, why were social dinners so exhausting? "Is dinner always like that for you?"

"Not always. That was a sort of small celebration for being rid of some bandits. There's normally fewer nobles and less of a feast."

Fitzroy chuckled. "It's certainly not for everyone. I've grown up with such things, so I've gotten used to it."

"Ah, of course." Fitzroy smiled and took a seat next to her on the bench, glancing up towards the sky.

As Fitzroy looked up at the sky, Siege looked down at the ground. Dinner really had been exhausting, she didn't think official dinners would be that tiring. "What's it..." she couldn't stifle the yawn this time, cutting herself off mid-sentence.

"Long dinner," Siege shook her head and yawned again, "I don't do a lot of official." That was Roy and Emilia's job, usually. Or apparently Jalin.

"Nn-nn," Siege shook her head, "I like talking to you." Even though she was trying to stay awake, get close to the prince, she was already starting to lean.

Fitzroy smiled at her. "Well, thank you. But you won't be talking much if you fall asleep on me. We'll have plenty of time to talk when you're rested."

That sounded nice, actually. Like one of the books she used to read, falling asleep on a prince's shoulder. But that might also cause problems... "Stupid cordiality," she grumbled.

"... okay," Siege took Fitzroy's hand and let him walk her back to the party's quarters.

"Did she just," Turac frowned as he watched Siege and Fitzroy head in the direction of the party's chambers, "Jalin what have you been teaching her?"

"I have done nothing."

True to his word, Fitzroy led Siege back to the guest rooms, letting go of her hand once they were there. "Well then, I wish you good night."

"I should be provided nothing comes up unexpectedly." Fitzroy smiled and gave a bow before taking his leave.

"Good night," Siege smiled at the prince before going into the chambers.

"I think I just heard the sister," Sinach fluttered down from the top of the four-poster canopy to go see, past Katsuo.

"I suppose that is our cue to call it a night," Jalin said as nobles began to filter out to go to their respective chambers for the night.

Katsuo held up a hand in front of the paper dragon. "What do you intend to do?"

Roy nodded and stood from his seat as Emilia went to get Nidia to stop playing music long enough to tell her they were heading back.

"I'm gonna go make sure she doesn't pull a Jalin, what's it to you?", Sinach almost sounded offended at the notion that he would do so specifically to make trouble. Even though that was pretty much his exact purpose after being left out.

Turac and Jalin bid whomever they were speaking to good night, before going back to chambers with the others. The girls found Siege already passed out on her bed, snoring with her bracelet and the dress lain over the back of a chair. She hadn't even made an effort to get under the blankets, as soon as the dress was off she laid down and went to bed.

“You’ll wait here until the rest of the group arrives. Your interference may ruin the plan.”

Nidia and Emilia paused as they walked into the room. Emilia smiled at the view. “Oh my.”

"How is me watching gonna screw up the plan?"

"Watching what, book?", Turac asked as he returned with Roy and Jalin.

Siege's ear flicked at the sound, and she curled up a bit tighter. "...ight...", she mumbled almost inaudibly.

Katsuo looked over. “Watching Siege ‘pull a Jalin,’ as he said.”

Roy paused before crossing his arms. “I’m not sure who should take the most offense from that...”

Nidia tilted her head as she walked over. “What was that?”

"I believe that is me," Jalin reached for his cane as he caught that soundbite. "It happened once, Book, I have not made a habit of seducing stoneholders." The handle of his cane clicked and started to glow as he stepped towards the paper drake.

"...urn out the light..."
