Fantasy Cursed Island

Raine nodded and continued on, throwing knives and retrieving them when she ran out to do it again.

While Jerry trained Raine in knife-throwing, across the camp Urodor was trying his damndest to get out of the cage now that he'd been humiliated again, shakign and rattling the wooden cage rather loudly to the ears for anyone that passed by.

The closest passing by at that moment was Corona, who stopped next to the cage as she looked down at it. "Hm... Don't hold back, huh?"

The cage didn't stop rattling. If Urodor was still in his true body, he'd probably have liquified this cage.

"Yeah, that sound's annoying now." Corona trotted just past the cage before kicking a back hoof into the side of the cage.

The cage did a flip and rolled down a slope, coming to rest against a tree, still containing an addled Urodor that didn't start moving again for a while.

"You are quite comfortable attacking one who cannot defend himself," Beri noted, still evading Shuffle.

Down in the cage, Urodor was grumbling inaudibly. A small tick jumped out of a patch of his fur, seeming to watch him with interest.

Corona looked over at Beri. "If I was attacking him, I would've used my spear. That was just a little kick."

"You have hooves, and I do not believe you are wearing shoes for those," Beri glanced down at Corona's hooves, "Men have been killed by horse kicks."

Corona nodded. "I'm well aware of how strong my kicks can be. And I assure you that was far from the most I could do, even with one hoof."

Beri shook his head, "In either case." He started padding off as light glowed inside the cage off just barely out of sight.

Corona shook her head. "I'm sure he's fine." She glanced back towards where she kicked the cage. "...is that supposed to glow?"

"I do not believe so..." Beri frowned, looking at the cage, then turned and blitzed back into camp to get the attention of the group.

Inside the cage, the little tick had revealed itself to be Emera, having piggybacked on clothes and hair, evading detection for some time in the hair of those who never brushed or checked theirs. She'd been gathering power passively, only draining on Urodor's gem recently to build power for what she wanted. Now she was using her gathered power to work a spell to get what she wanted, revenge. Cage or no, Emera's use of magic to polymorph both herself and Urodor into ticks got them out of the cage faster than it could shrink.

Corona narrowed her eyes, holding her hands up to call her spear and shield to her hands.

Shuffle was still looking for shinies, up until a metal buckler flew by and smacked her in the back of the head as it went by. She lay face down for a moment before lifting her head, dizzily trying to figure out what just hit her.

Beri skidded into the camp roaring about Urodor getting loose.

"Impossible," Jerry waved it off, "Shuffle couldn't even break through with acid, and there's no lock to pick."

The two ticks coming out of the cage reshaping into two humanoid forms, one of Emera's usual appearance and one very near Urodor's dragon badge form said otherwise. Emera seemed to have been saving her mana for some time to pull this off. "Hello, children!", Emera giggled.

"Son of a bitch." Jerry sighed, "Asta, where's my- Poli I need a weapon."

Shuffle heard Beri’s call and stumbled to her feet, heading on that way. Corona likewise figured out that’s where things were happening and went back towards camp.

Asta tossed Jerry her sword hilt and turned his attention to the troublemakers.

Jerry caught the hilt and turned it on, feeling her arms almost snap off at the weight of an oversized greatsword coming out. "Let me rephrase. Poli, Asta needs a weapon." Now Jerry had to reset it to her rapier.

"Gods-fucking-dammit, Emera!"

"Long story," Emfa nodded at Corona as she appeared, "But we got a bone to pick with Emera too." She pulled her axe, "And I've got a bone to pick with the dragon."

"As you can see," Emera smirked as she sat on Urodor's shoulder, "I brought backup."

"On it!" Poli scurried to Asta, jumping into his hands and forming into a claymore, taking a few moments to harden and sharpen the blade. "Ready."

Corona shrugged. "Fair enough."

Niudisa spoke up, already holding a spell in hand. "And your backup already got his ass handed to him once, by a smaller, weaker group than what you're facing now."

Emera frowned, "Kill them."

"Silence," Urodor growled and spread his wings to kick up a cloud of dust, before reaching over and ripping a tree out of the ground for use as a weapon, shooting straight at Asta and leaving Emera floating in space.

"Rude," the demoness muttered, "Fine, I can handle myself." A thunderclap and a charging Joanne changed that statement very quickly and the two disappeared into the dust cloud.

Asta narrowed his eyes and swung his Poli-sword as he felt like he was the target here.

Corona turned and started circling the fight, keeping herself moving as she watched for an opening.

Urodor was much bigger than Asta's human form, almost double Asta's current size, a six-foot five man against a twelve-foot plus humanoid dragon. Power and brute strength was on Urodor's side. Numbers were not, as Emfa joined the brawl going after Urodor's head.

"Got it!", Jerry finally got her sword reset. Asta and Emfa were on Urodor, Emera was nowhere to be seen, Beri was charging the dust cloud, and Adran had his bow out. Nalla was nowhere to be seen, and somehow Veo was still asleep.

Asta couldn't hold against the tree, so he spun away from the force of the blow and stepped back before swinging for the dragon's legs.

Corona raised her spear as she locked her sights on Urodor, runes filling in. She pointed the spear at Urodor as she changed course, firing a lightning bolt at him and charging right after for a melee strike.

Emil was still by Veo, cleaning the lute and flute. He glanced up as Aria swam up in front of him. "Emil, your friends need your help." He blinked before setting the instruments down and grabbing the violin as he headed out. Soundproof tents weren't always a good thing.

Urodor roared as Asta's claymore sank into his calf, bringing his tail around to wrap around Asta and fling him away while he tried to dislodge Emfa from his back. And then the lightning bolt connected and chained between the three, putting Emfa on the ground steaming and angering Urodor as he turned around to face his assailant. The dragon took a deep breath, steam and smoke filling in his throat before a cloud of acid was pushed out in Corona's direction.

When the dust cleared in Joanne and Emera's little cloud, Emera seemed felled, with Joanne standing over the corpse, but when Joanne looked at the party the paladin's eyes were glowing red as Jerry's had when Emera had charmed the rogue. The paladin pulled out her mirror, deploying her reflection, and both turned with swords drawn to face the party.

"Ah, shit," Jerry and Adran groaned in unision, raising their weapons as on Joanne went after them, another going to intercept Beri and Nalla as the goliath came out of the woods to investigate the noise.

Asta rolled as he was thrown before coming to stop against a tree. He shook his head before getting back up.

Corona aborted her charge and swerved to the side to avoid the acid breath. She wasn't gonna take a chance trying to block that.

Shuffle arrived shortly, spotting Urodor and charging in without question. She ran full speed before jumping to ram her horns into his side.

Emil looked around as he stepped out, spotting the fight before heading for Erina's loom. Erina was there as he expected, watching the fight to keep Lyak safe. "Erina, Lyak, can I ask for your assistance?"

"With what?"

"Just feel the music and play along."
