Fantasy Cursed Island

The hydra cocked its head, but seemed to get excited when they got to the water. Hydras were water serpents.

At the edge of the water, Erina lifted the hydra off her shoulder and set it down so she could remove her dress. The washing machine had been moved back to camp, but she could handle scrubbing one dress. She stepped into the water and got started.

The hydra shot into the water like an arrow once it was put down, leave a steadily fading trail of red behind as hydra blood diluted in the water. Before long it vanished.

Back at camp, Jerry had sat Asta down to talk about earlier. "Did Erina seem... feely, to you?"

Erina watched the hydra go. She figured it should be fine since she could see the edges of the pool. She made sure to glance up occasionally as she washed her dress.

A couple tiers down, Shuffle and Fia were swimming about in the water. Well, one was swimming, the other was floating with some limited control of which direction she went.


"When she was measuring me? Yes, she did seem a bit close for my comfort, but I figured that was part of the process."

Jerry frowned, "I don't think it was, she's not normally like that."

Asta blinked. "She's not? What do you think it was then?"

"I don't know," Jerry frowned, then looked at Asta again, "But I can think of a few things, you do make a very handsome man."

Asta paused before tilting his head. "You think she was coming on to me?"

 

[Darkling0096]

Jerry shook her head, "I hope not, she's been giving me advice on us."

"Mm, something to discuss with her then..."

 

[Darkling0096]

Jerry nodded, "Well, I've got something in the works for tomorrow night, just you and me. Okay?"

Asta smiled and nodded. "Alright." He paused for a moment. "Ah, is that where you were?"

Jerry smirked, "You'll find out." She chuckled and got up, "But I think you'll love what I've got planned."

"With you, I'm sure I will." Asta stood up as well, taking a moment to stretch.

 

[Darkling0096]

"I've got some arrangements to make, so I'm gonna vanish again for a bit." She left the tent to go bother Adran. "And Poli, we've gotta separate again."

Asta nodded. “I think I’ll take another nap. Or see if Joanne is too busy for training.”

Poli pulled off as requested, finding a place to settle.

"I'm sure she's not busy, she's probably enjoying having someone she can actually spar with," Jerry shrugged and went to go bother Adran. "Adran, put this on," she held up a blindfold to the elf. Joanne was still in her usual space, running doing exercises with her longsword.

Niudisa glanced over from her work, pausing for a moment. "Hold on, shouldn't this be the other way around?"

Asta nodded and headed off to request some more training.

Over at the pools, Erina had finished washing her dress and waiting for it to dry as she washed herself. Shuffle had found that, with enough speed, she jump from the water in one pool and land in the next pool over.

"For what? I need him blind for what I need and I'm not carving his eyes out," jerry shrugged, repeating that Adran was to put on the blindfold. The elf shrugged and put the strip of fabric over his eyes.


Joanne was more than eager to continue training Asta, drawing her sword, "Let us continue."


Over at the pools, the hydra found all the splashing from Shuffle frightening, Shuffle was massive compared to the snake, and it came back to Erina, coiling around her waist like a belt.

Niudisa shrugged and went back to her work.


Asta nodded and activated the blade on the sword he had forgotten to give back to Jerry before attacking Joanne.


Erina smiled down at the hydra and gently pet one of its heads. She really needed to introduce them to the rest of the group.

"Good," Jerry nodded and started guiding Adran where she needed him, the two vanishing after a bit.

Joanne smiled and brought her sword up to deflect, the sparring match coming to life again.

The hydra shook a bit and tightened up, if that was a position the hydra liked if nothing else it might look nice as a snake belt.

Asta was too big to outmaneuver his opponent, so his tactic was to continue attacking and wear them down. As his attack was deflected, he focused on recovering quickly before swinging again.


After a moment, Erina tilted her head. "Would you like to meet Shuffle and Fia?" She really wished the chain worked as a translator as well.

Asta's sword was too heavy for blocking and deflecting to keep working without wearing her down, so Joanne worked to out-maneuver Asta, relying on the speed at which she could swing her sword to out-pace Asta.


One of the hydra heads looked up from the strange knot involving its heads and tail to look at Erina, cocking it's head. It wasn't sure what Erina meant by "meet", but it seemed pretty close to "eat", and the hydra was full of its siblings.

While Asta was getting the hang of attacking, he hadn't yet learned defense in this form. Normally he would just take hits and shrug it off. Once Joanne was clear of his blade, landing a hit would be fairly easy.


"Come on." Erina stood and headed over to the edge of the pool. "Shuffle! I have someone I'd like you to meet!"

Shuffle stopped and looked over before smiled and start excitedly jumping from pool to pool, heading up to the one Erina was in. Fia followed overhead.

Joanne made sure never to do real damage, she wasn't sure if the armor enchantment would continue to protect Asta in his human form, so just before making contact she'd pull her sword back and resume her offense.


Now the hydra was just scared of all the splashing, hissing and baring its many fangs at Shuffle as it realized where the splashing was coming from.
