Fantasy Cursed Island

Emil let out a grunt as she hit and put his arms around her, partly to return the hug and partly to tap her with his hand. His tapping gradually got faster as he ran out of air.

Veo didn't release until Emil was blue in the face. or he would have been blue in the face if it could have been seen through his fur. "Don't you ever do that to me again!", she warned, now just holding him closely.

Emil nodded as he gasped for breath, taking a few moments to recover. "I'm sorry... Had I known...I would have at least given some warning..."

"You're not alllowed to touch things anymore," Veo shook her head, "I don't care what it is."

Outside, now that Emil was awake, and probably being severely scolded by Veo, and the violin was locked away, Adran went into his tent to see what Erina had in store for him.

Emil paused for a moment before he smiled. "I'm touching you, aren't I?"

Erina was currently upside down as she crawled across the ceiling, setting up some kind of system of webs.

"I'm gonna touch you if you don't behave," Veo raised a hand like she was going to pop Emil on the back of the head and then sighed, "You scared me."

"What are you up to?" There was only so much height to the tent, Nalla could have squeezed in if she wanted, so while scuttling around Erina's head was chest-height for Adran.

Emil put his ears back from her threat, raising them back as she sighed. "I'm sorry. But I'm fine now. And I promise I'll be more careful in the future."

Erina looked over at him. "Setting up your 'punishment.'"

"Just... Are you hungry? You've been out all day." Veo seemed to have calmed down some, but Emil could count on her clinging to him like a shadow after today's events.

"Oh, really?", Adran raised an eyebrow, "And what would that be?"

"Ah... Now that you mention it, yes. Did I miss anything?"

"I have an eye for details. And I got a good look at how Veo was bound." Erina smiled at him.

Veo shook her head as she plucked some fruit from her vines for Emil. "I don't know what happened, Joanne knocked me out, and then Adran tied me up- I'm going to kill that elf later."

"Oh," Adran smirked, "Well, I've got a surprise for you, two."

"Why would... Ah, never mind." Emil just took the fruit and started eating. He could only imagine her panic when he just passed out.

Erina blinked. "Oh, do you now?"

Veo smiled and sat up on the bed. "So what happened while you were passed out? Did you have any dreams?"

Adran smiled and reached under his bed, producing the other collar. "This was for Jerry, but apparently she wanted to put one on her cat instead." He gestured to the runework, "I'm not gonna tell you what it does, just know that if you put it on you won't be able to take it off for eight hours."

Emil nodded as he sat with her, glancing at Aria swimming past. She was mostly just checking out the tent. "Yes, actually. There's a spirit bound to the violin. She's the source of the magic inside it. While I was out, I met her and she told me she'd be my muse."

"Oh? Well then, let's get you tied up first. You don't sleep, so you'll get to watch from there until morning when I decide to get you down."

"Spirit?", Veo wasn't sure she liked the sound of that, "Bound as in attached to the violin or bound as in the violin is alive?"

"I am at your command, milady," Adran gave a bow and set the collar on the bed.

"Attached to it. And sort of a part of it at this point, I guess. I met her in the dream and she taught me most of how to use the power she grants."

Erina couldn't help but smile at that. "Good. Come here. I think this is just about ready for you."

"She?", Veo raised an eyebrow, "Is she in the room?"

Adran did as he was commanded. Depending on how Erina went about this this could be a fun night or a bad one, but it was a drop in the bucket compared to other bad nights he'd had if it went that route.

Emil looked over at the mermaid swimming about. "Ah, yes..."

Aria looked over. "Ah, right. You can see and hear me, but I'm afraid the others cannot. I wouldn't want to interfere with your life."

"Ah, right. Apparently only I can see her."

As he came into her grasp, Erina started binding him the way Veo had been, bringing him up to the ceiling and making sure it was all secure. She was definitely skilled at tying people up. The extra legs helped.

Veo followed Emil's gaze and walked over to where she thought Aria was, passing right through her. "Where?"

"Huh, you know what you're doing," Adran nodded as he was bound up. She could do with some more practice with this particular method of tying people upl, but it wasn't painful. "This isn't one of my binding spells, so don't hang me upside down," he reminded her.

“Ah, next to you. There.” Emil pointed to try and help her, even though she wouldn’t be able to find her. Aria took the moment to look Veo over more closely.

“Hm... I can see how you’d like her. But I guess it’s more than appearance as well.”

Erina nodded. “I know. I make it a habit to make sure my catches are upright or at least laying laying sideways.”

Veo spun around trying to look where Emil was pointing, but by the time she'd figured out where she was pointing the specter had moved to another location. Eventually she turned to face Emil, "Are you messing with me?"

"And what kind of catch am I?"

Emil smiled and shook his head. “No, I’m not. She just doesn’t really sit still.”

Erina smiled. “You’re the kind of catch that I would keep for a while.” With the last binding secured, she moved down to the floor to look up at him. “A long while...”

Veo closed her eyes and sighed, "Listen here, spirit, you leave Emil alone. The warlock in this party is an ass but I will have you exorcised if you do anything to hurt Emil."

Adran smiled, "Well I'm not going anywhere."

Aria shook her head. “I only want to help. As an apology for my behavior when I was corrupted.” Emil spoke up to relay the message.

“Indeed you’re not. You look good up there.” Erina smiled as she took a few moments to enjoy seeing him in her web. “Now...” She looked over at the collar before walking to it.

"I don't care," Veo put her hands on her hips, "You put my boyfriend in a coma and almost gave me a heart attack, if that happens again you're going back to the land of the dead if I have to get every caster in the party to help."

Adran chuckled, she did have him quite tightly bound. "Careful, like I said, you won't be able to take it off or undo it until morning."

Aria gave a nod. “That’s fair. The knockout was only get him used to the new powers in a more time efficient manner. There won’t be a need to do it a second time.”

Erina nodded as she picked up the collar. “Yes. But if it were hazardous, you wouldn’t be letting me handle it. If nothing else, this will be amusing to you and inconvenient for me.” She hesitated a moment before putting the collar on.
