Fantasy Cursed Island

Asta blinked looked at her, smiling for a moment. "He did?"

"Mm. We should check on her often. I've left my catches suspended upside down before and come back to find them dead."

"Yeah," Jerry nodded. They probably wouldn't be having this conversation if the alcohol hadn't come out. She reached around Asta's neck to turn the dial. "This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't had anything to drink."

"Magic," Adran shrugged, "Second circle, she's not gonna get hurt."

"Ah." Asta let Jerry proceed, though as she touched the dial, he realized he'd lost track of his makeshift kilt.

"Mm, very well. We should still check on her. To make sure she eats, if nothing else."

The kilt, much like other parts of Asta's harness and belongings changed size while attached to him, was still there, though, having vanished into his form while polymorphed back. One of the effects of the Polymorph spell effect. It was the same when Jerry had been polymorphed into a fairy, the parts of her kit that couldn't be worn were merged into her form.

"You do make a very handsome man, though," Jerry smiled at Asta.

-------------------
Adran gestured towards Veo's tent. "You are more than welcome to go check, sweetheart." Inside the tent, as Adran predicted, Adran's binding spell had Veo suspended horizontally from the ceiling in the usual fashion of Adran's bindings, and she looked very, very angry.

Asta gave her a smile. "Thank you. I would return the compliment had you not heard it before."

----------

Erina sighed and stepped away from her work. "Fine, if you will not feed her, I will. But I cannot summon food like you can."

"Hmm," Jerry nodded, "You don't need to compliment me, Asta, I know how you see me." She stood up and offered Asta a hand to get to his feet, "But I like hearing them."

---------

Adran raised an eyebrow, "I never said I wouldn't feed her," he thought she meant just going to make sure Veo hadn't died, which Adran was certain would take an act of extraplanar intervention.

Asta nodded and took her hand, getting to his feet. "Very well. I'll remember to throw a few your way sometimes. Just let me know if it gets to be too much."

----------

"Well, you weren't moving to do so now, and the rest of us had already eaten, so it seemed you didn't intend to."

Jerry smiled as she and Asta stood there, then frowned, "Asta, there's something else." If Niudisa knew her secret, she'd rather be the one to control how Asta found out, at least.

----------
"I thought you just wanted to check on her, I didn't- whatever, let's just make this happen," Adran started walking to Veo's tent and whistled at what he found, "Well that is not how I left you at all."

Asta paused at her expression change. "What is it?"

----------

Erina almost went back to her work, but when she heard Adran whistle she went to follow him. Just to be sure.

"Asta, I... I wasn't born like this," Jerry gestured to herself, "Not the dragon, I mean I wasn't born a woman."

----------------

"See what I mean?", Adran gestured to how Veo was currently tied up, "I left her on the bed. She struggled so much the spell decided the best way to keep her restrained is to get her off the ground so she's got nothing to thrash against." He snapped his fingers so the spell started undoing itself, climbing down until Veo was on a sitting position on the bed before the binding's vanished.

"ERINA YOUR MAN IS A PERVERT!", Veo barked as soon as her mouth was freed.

Asta blinked. He was silent for a moment as he processed that. "You...were a man?"

----------

Erina nodded. "Yes, he is. And he will be punished accordingly. For now though, how are you doing?"

Jerry nodded. "Early in the dungeon, a couple weeks before we met, I touched a cursed item, and it turned me into a woman."

------------

"Hey, I didn't suspend her from the ceiling!", Adran protested.

"I'm fine, how's Emil?", Veo rubbed her wrists where the bindings had rubbed.

"I see... So," He looked her over. "All of this is new for you?"

----------

Erina looked at Adran. "Ah ah, we'll discuss it later." She looked to Veo again. "No change, I'm afraid. He's not worse, at least."

Jerry nodded, "Everything that's happened to me so far is new and alien."

---------------

Adran rolled his eyes and summoned a meal for Veo on the end table. "Whatever, you hungry?" Veo shook her head.

"Mm... Well, as strange as that is, I suppose it does mean there are some things we might be able to relate to each other." He glanced at his current human form. "Or things you can assist me with."

----------

"Well, you should still eat a little, at least. Emil wouldn't want to find you half starved when he wakes up."

"Mm-hm," Jerry nodded and closed her eyes, "Whatever you need."

----------

Veo crossed her arms and eyed Adran until he walked out of the tent with his hands in the air, after which point she tore into the food like she was starving.

Asta dipped his head. "Thank you. I'll be sure to let you know if something troubles me."

----------

Erina gave her a smile. "Shall I give you some space as well?"

Jerry smiled, "Okay." She pulled away from Asta to sit on the bed. "Do you want to sleep in the bed or would you rather be in your real form?"

----------------

Veo nodded, barely stopping to breathe while she ate. Apparently all that stress and thrashing around gave her an appetite to rival Jerry's during draconification of parts.

"Ah... I think I'm fine either way."

----------

Erina nodded back and stepped out, making sure the tent closed behind her.

"I can get another bed so there's room for us both," Jerry made sure the entire offer was on the table so Asta knew she wasn't messing with him. She'd already lied to him for so long, she wanted to keep his trust.

-------------

"Verdict?", Adran asked, leaning against Nalla's newly grown tree and crossing his arms. He anticipated being shouted at, he was used to that when he screwed up.

Asta considered a little longer before he nodded. "I can try sleeping like this. But to do it now than when there's a risk of waking up to a fight."

----------

"Hm?" Erina looked at Adran. "Ah. I don't think she trusts you very much."

"Okay," Jerry smiled and nodded, going into her kit for the rest of the folding furniture to unfold a second twin-size and slid it right next to her own. "If you want clothes, Erina's been taking requests lately."

--------

"Yeah," Adran shrugged and spread his arms. "Circumstances haven't exactly been working in my favor reputation-wise." He shook his head, "I haven't been peeping on her, but she's convinced I have, and I can't help how second-circle demonic spells behave."

"Right. I should be fine for now. I don't feel uncomfortable as I am."

----------

Erina nodded. "I will have to keep my word and punish you, but it won't be as bad as I made it seem. You may even enjoy it."

Jerry smiled at that and patted the bed next to her. "Then how about we just go to bed?"

----------

"Oh?", Adran raised an eyebrow, "What do you have in mind?"

Asta nodded. "That sounds good." He climbed onto the bed before just flopping over.

----------

Erina smiled and gave a wink. "You'll see~"
