Of all the ways to die, Judith didn't think suffocating would be the way she'd go. The Devil Hunter knew that this job was a bit more dangerous than the others as it involved killing a demon general on a world being overrun by the fiends. The general actually ended up being not much of a problem, but she hadn't realized just how zealous her employers were when it came to killing anything or anyone with demonic heritage. Judith had been on her ship, nothing more than a large shuttle, on her way off the planet when they had opened fire and decimated her primary engines. As the vessel plummeted towards one of the world's oceans she had managed to get some interesting readings.

After the shuttle sank to the bottom of the ocean, the warrior had plenty of time to analyze the readings and came to the conclusion that the demons hadn't been slowed by her actions at all. In fact they seemed to be in the midst of a planetary spell that would shift the entire world into hell. In fact, judging by the fact that her sensors were indicating that the water was quickly becoming more acidic Judith had to guess the spell was almost done. Not that it mattered, she only had a few minutes of air left and the damage to the ship had removed self-destructing from even being an option. Letting out an exhausted sigh, she leaned back in the pilot's chair and closed her eyes. Maybe she'd get lucky and die in her sleep...

With a start Judith opened her eyes, her warhammer almost instantly in her right hand as she quickly glanced around. The last thing she remembered was gasping for breath, so suddenly waking up on a strange world was not at all what she expected. The man with a crazed looking grin, armored figure, the little girl, and cyborg sitting in a chair sure as hell made for an odd welcome committee. Narrowing her eyes as two of the others went to ask questions of the cyborg, the Devil Hunter opted to wait for the responses to their questions before speaking up as her question would just be redundant.

Adormidera (Adory)

Huh. So this was how the world was ending. Horrid monstrosities that couldn't be seduced flew throughout the world, released by some circle of royals she slept with to try and rid of her. It would work, but at the cost of everything else. The situation only made the succubus snicker. No use crying over spilled milk. What's done is done, she might as well enjoy the last moments of the world. Where? At the Golden Cat, of course! The only problem was that most of the patrons and girls fled at first sight of the monstrosities. Only a few people shared her mindset, but they would have to do. "Oh," she said, looking at the ceiling. "It looks like we won't even have time, after all." Much to their dismay, the monstrosities burst through the roof before anything fun could happen.

Expensive decorations fell and broke, and furniture was smashed in the ensuing onslaught. But before the monstrosities could reach her, a group of people made a blood-curdling roar. Adory curiously turned to see her love slaves, ready to lay down their lives for her. Nice to see that they were loyal to the bitter end, even if the most damage they could do was wear down the monstrosities' teeth. Shortly after, they destroyed the brothel and everyone in it.

---

"Mm..." she groaned, waking face down in grass. Like anyone else, Adory was confused as to how she got here, green landscape with no buildings or business anywhere close. She sat up, noticing the only other people she'd been brought along with. They ranged from little girls to a still unconscious angel with a piece of metal covering her eyes. A heavily armored knight yelled a tad too abrasively for her liking at the man in the chair, the person who sent them here, she imagined. The others asked the obvious questions like "Where am I?" , "Who are you?" or "How did you bring me here?" It must've been tiring for the poor man to have to answer these plain questions.

"Geez, you all are so demanding." Adory walked between those who have awakened and the man in the chair. She sent a playful smile at SIN. "I for one don't care who or why or how." Adory walked up to SIN, softly running her hand over his chest. She bent over so her face was on the same level as his, a grateful smirk plastered over her face. She then put her hands on his knees, slowly running them up. "I just want to pay off my newfound debt."

-Beth Revault-

Beth Revault had long ago resigned to her fate. A violent death was her only future, one drenched in the life blood of her enemies and gripping the hilt of a blade that had never ceased in its thirst for blood. She brought the blade over her head and swung it downwards, smashing the fallen angel’s armored skull into the concrete beneath. It shuddered, hissed and died with an inhuman gasp like that of some rusty machine brought to life through the unholy machinations of some inventor deity. There were no gods left however, Beth’s very own blade held responsible at one point. Beth brought the shimmering saber into another readied stance watching as more foes descended on her position. A couple other brave human soldiers were still fighting among the rubble, guns blazing and swords shimmering in the hazy red light. The city was dead, the world was dead, a hot, bloody, coppery red mist hung about throughout the world to remind them of that. Beth and her people had been on the run for so long, so many years fighting and hiding throughout the ruins of a world rotting into nothingness. Void Guard soldiers closed in on her position, shimmering with divine energy as they shot down her men from aerial positions. The traitor angels had once guided and protected humanity under the watchful eye of the pantheon. And then things had decayed, as all things do, everything must come to an end is what wise men say; and Beth’s world was at that poetic climax.

A Void Guard, his mantle green like some toxic chemical, wielding a shimmering axe yellow as the sun bore down on the magical girl, roaring with delight as he swung his axe. Beth narrowly leaped back as the enchanted warrior rampaged. The divine warrior’s blade merely caught the armor of one of Beth’s soldiers, and the man was gone in an instant, his body melted and not but a pile of steaming flesh and metal. Screams and gunfire echoed in the night as Beth fought; She killed the Void Guard by snapping his neck, pinning the howling warrior to a wall with her sword before wrenching the Guard’s head to the side. Removing the blade Beth noted with melancholy concern that the gunfire was beginning to fade, reducing slowly in intensity until only a few scattered shots in the night could be heard. Her people were doomed, and so was she. Beth wasn't out of places to run and hide in, but she was out of the will to do so. Better to die here in glory, like her mother, and the other few remaining magical girls. Better to die here then to hide in shame and misery until finding your end at the hands of some exterminator like a rodent in the dark. It wasn't fair that things ended this way, and yet there was nothing Beth could do at this point, her energy was spent, no reason to go on showed itself. Rushing into the fray with abandon Beth Revault fought to the bitter, glorious death. In the end she thought that she was happy with the outcome. The second chance she was about to find herself with would prove her very, very wrong.

Finding herself awake and completely refreshed, Beth noted she was no longer in a ruined city. There were also no angelically powerful warriors trying to eat her, kill her or capture her. Both of these realizations were huge pluses in Beth’s book; Last stands may have been dope, but Beth had never relished the thought of having to one day go through one; even if at the time in her old world, it had seemed inevitable. She was sitting, grass against her thighs and wind at her cheek, in a small field overlooking a vista of pleasant splendor. The cliff she found herself in was nice, a relaxing and calm place, certainly a little bit how she had expected the afterlife to be. And yet, something about the world of the dead screamed off to her; For one thing she didn't feel like she had acquired any great knowledge or like she had just gone through death in any way. And for another even larger thing, there were plenty of other strange beings like and unalike to her, appearing in the very same field. A man on a rocking chair was facing all of them, strange mechanical eyes watching with restrained interest? Or was that disdain? Was this the one who had just summoned them? Was this not the afterlife? Why were they here? Was there an afterlife? A million questions blazed in her mind at that moment and yet all she could breathe out to the relaxed man was, “My home… It's gone… isn't it?” Beth didn't need much of an answer right then because at that moment it felt like it didn't even really matter. It had been doomed from the day she had been born.

This was no dead place at all, just a new one.

The people that surrounded her were an eclectic sort, ranging from armored men that pulsed with energy to cripples with little clothing. There was even a little girl, one who gave off fairly ominous vibes, but a little girl nonetheless. The rest of the group consisted of adults, at least that's what she supposed until the armored man started yelling. “Maybe I spoke too soon…” She growled under her breath. Beth scowled at his volume directed towards the suspicious yet peaceful man sitting in his chair; It seemed unnecessary to direct such volume at the calm man. Yet it was apparent that the figure sitting in front of them was different, quite different in fact, from the rest of them. An air like that of her old dead gods seemed to come from the man, a divine aura of sorts, thick and heavy in the air like a fog almost.

Beth was alive and it appeared to be thanks to this man.

Goodest Boi.png
☼ Goodest Boi ☼

The sun was unbearably hot and bright, even with a protective coat of floof. Goodest Boi blinked a couple times, trying to see where Stupid Mutt had gone. He could not see the human, but he felt the comforting headpat and knew he was still beside him.

"I'm going to try something because fuck the rules. Fuck them. I'm tired of this shit. I'm done." Stupid Mutt gave a sigh and a pause. Usually the man would run a hand through his hair when he sighed like this, but Goodest Boi couldn't see anything. He felt the ground shrink from below his paws, causing him to float freely. The doggo gave a happy bark and wiggled his legs. "Heh, I can just imagine the look on their faces when they find out. Almost makes me wish I could see it. Eh, it doesn't matter. This is it, you stupid mutt. You be good, alright?" The dog gave a happy bark, wagging his tail. Even though he couldn't see it, Stupid Mutt smiled for the last time.

☼ ☼ ☼

In the world of Valucia two humanoid legs were beginning to form then suddenly they dissipated. Instead of a world destroyer, a white dog poofed into existence and fell to the ground with a plop. He bounced up and shook out his fur, scattering little sparkles around him like dewdrops. His beady eyes surveyed his surroundings, tongue lolling out of his mouth in a dopey grin.

There were a few people around him, all with very different smells. One lady was a mix, like cake, a man like static laundry, a robotic man who smelled like Stupid Mutt's smoke-sticks, a smiley man sitting down, and a little girl. Goodest Boi barked with joy when he saw her. Children were lots of fun, they always wanted to play (and gave lots of foods)! Should play with her? There were so many new friends to choose from, causing Goodest Boi to stand still while his brain tried to figure out who to go to first. He tilted his head, thinking hard. Even his tail stopped wagging in concentration.

As a rule, if somebody is sitting down it means they want cuddle time. This was something Goodest Boi learned very early in his life. The man was also smiling! Wonderful! Goodest Boi bounded over to the smiling man and sniffed him excitedly, tail wagging. Oh he was missing an arm. Where did it go? Was it hiding? He stiffed the arm-space, then he sniffed the man's face and licked it. With a delightful 'floomph' sound Goodest Boi sat down on the grass beside the man, tail wagging behind him.

A blue glow encompassed each damaged section of Charon's armor as millions of nano-bots worked to mend the metal plating. But that was not the only noticeable thing about the android as he stood inside a fortified area of one of the walls in a lower power mode, the yellow glow of the soul eater's eyes more subdued than normal. At some point Charon not only managed to get his hands on a flat piece of wood, but also some rope and black pain which allowed him to make a sign that now hung from his neck. All the sign said was, 'HELLO! My name is Charon!' It was a toss up if the glow or the sign drew more attention to him, but at one point a soldier attempted to take the sign. Perhaps it was in jest, but he was in for a rude awakening when the android proved that he was still awake and aware when he shouted 'Boo!' when the soldier reached for the piece of wood. Needless to say the soldier did everything he could to avoid the metal man after that scare.

Obito & Albert
The rain dropped lightly today thankfully , the birds flew through the rain, and the hovering cars drove passed honking at one another like mad men. Swerving lane to lane. Today was a busy day in the city. Even the side walks had traffic. People either walking in single, duos, or even groups all walked the streets of the city entering certain buildings and such. Each citizen was for sure hiding a quirk they had while some couldn’t do to having transformed body parts and such. Obito laid the gun while he crouched on the roof top watching his possible target. Obito had the man’s head locked on through the lenses and was ready to set it off at any moment. Waiting for Alberts signal and proper measurements.

“Target is currently on the move at 6 mph. They retrieved the bomb’s trigger device. We have minus 4.3 seconds to execute target.”

“Copy.”

“Traffic level rising. Commoners flooding Bart St.”

“Copy.”

“2 seconds remaining.”

“Don-“

Getting ready to pull the trigger the cloaked killer was interrupted by a small click. Obito’s foot was shot at, but it was barely missed because he made one simple movement getting ready to hit his target. Obito looked around where the shot came from. Grabbing the bullet that pierced the building’s material clue Obito took some cover. Moving the bullet up to his face Obtio twirled it in his fingers to analyze it himself, until Albert interrupted.

“Analyzing bullet.”

“No!! The target Albert!”

“Target cross paths with the traffic Obito, tracking bomb signal now...”

“Dammit.”

“Bomb signal locked on. Reaching destination in 10 minutes.”

“We better move where is it at?”

“Wallow Blvd.”

“Copy, we’ll deal with the shooter later. Now analyze the bullet so we can figure out what gun it’s from.”

“Yes sir.”

Obito stood up looking around peeking through the cracks of his cover for any signs of the shooter before sitting back against the wall putting the bullet into his pocket. And resting the strap that held his sniper around his shoulder. Looking at the watch that was on his wrist it opened up a small world map hologram allowing him to play around with it. Obito got the pinpoint of where he was and watched the amount of traffic going through. Trying to see any hologram that resembles his target.

“Analyzing 40% complete. I can give possible options of what gun’s can use this bullet. Similar to our owns, Category sniper.”

“You still analyzed it..? Yeah I’m sure of that much.”

Continuing his search for the person Obito then pulled his phone out of his pocket with his right hand. Sliding through the various social media apps and text messages Obito tried to pass some time while his AI did it's research.

“Analyzing 80% complete.”

“Can you deduce from that much?”

“I can try yes.”

“Do that.”

“From the information I acquired from the ammunition, the firearm that shot at us was a PGM Urutima Ratio Hekāto II.

“What the f***?”

“Length: 138 cm, 114 cm with stock removed, Barrel length: 700mm.”

“Yeah I know! Someone high in the market is after us too it seems. Trying to prevent us from killing Waldo. Whoever it is is retarded. Waldo wants to destroy this entire planet, while he escapes with his hench- oh...”

“Waldo’s personal sniper preventing our mission possibly?”

“Maybe yeah. Scan the area for anything that you can pick up to fan this guy out.”

“Sir, Waldo is getting to destination in 10 minutes.”

“I can’t shoot if I got someone on my ass, then Im done for too.”

“Copy. Analyzing area.... Picking up cellphone radiations, air pods signals, etc.”

Obito nodded ran out of the hiding spot jumping roof too roof. Before going to the next roof Obito took a moment to analyze his surroundings before pushing forward. Finally he got on top of a tall building. Walking passed a wall someone cocked their gun and prepared to shoot, but Obito already had his pistol to the man's head while he was cocking it. The man's eyes opened wide noticing how fast Obito was.

"Glock 9 drum attachment."

“Speak your name.”

The man started stuttering taking a few steps back not sure what to do, but point his gun at Obito. The man was confused why Obito wasn't moving at all and instead stood their waiting on his next move.

“Facial analyzing now.”

“Not talking is fine too. Drop dead.”

Not too much longer Obito pulled the trigger and blew right through the man's head. Watching the body fall backwards Obito then turned walking towards the edge of the roof. He noticed no one heard the shot over the rain and he then turned back to the body walking over to it crouching down digging through the man's pockets. Finding a few useful trinkets Obito stuffed them in his pockets before standing back up.

“Askilon Turner.”

“I see. It’s no matter for him now. Bomb signal?”

“3 minutes.”

“Good. Fastest route?”

“George st then cut through 98th. Our arrival time will be 9:02 pm. Waldo’s arrival time 9:04 pm.”

“Got it!”

Taking the information Obito ran as fast as he could going through any obstical that was in his way. He was practically parkouring through the roofs and many more. He understood there wasn't much time to waste so he kept pushing till finally he slid crouching down pulling his sniper out and aimed it preparing to shoot with hardly any time. He did everything in a matter of seconds looking through the scope and aimed it searching for Waldo's head and finally found his target. Waldo was running towards a large factory in hopes to escape from his possible outcome. Obito was trying to pull the trigger, but was being stopped by Albert.

“Obito there are-“

“No time there’s a clear shot!”

“But sir.”

“Now!”

Pulling the trigger Obito connected the shot on Waldo's head making the man fall over before reaching the door of the building. Sadly it was another version of him who ran straight into the door. Before Obito punched the roof out of frustration he heard a clicking similar to a gun. BANG! Everything went dark for Obito, hardly anything he could do, but fall over dead now.

“Life-Status ten perce.... ze.... syst... f....”

——

“System reboot. Fully operational! Body temperature normal, blood flow normal, brain healthy. Bones are also completely recovered, vision 20/20. Full body review completed. Body checklist finished. Wake up Obito.”

The sound of the AI telling him to wake up gave him motivation to open his eyes. All the numbers that he usually see's appeared again as the AI's system was still recovering. Sitting up straight Obito looked around noticing unfamiliar faces, and even an unfamiliar area. What was going on here? Obito thought he for sure died.

“Where the hell are we...?”

“I don’t. Know.”

“Any clue who these people are too?”

“No.”

“There is a dog though. Proper speculation on appearance, the mutt’s age should be around 2-3 years of age.”

“That’s the only normal thing here..”

“Correct.”

“Who’s the guy sitting at the hill?”

“My program has been updated it seems. We’re in Valucia. Vast world of magic and more. Magic?”

“That’s fake. Magic isn't real, it's just for entertainment. We must’ve been brought here to kill one another. Like that movie.”

“Hunger games?”

“Yeah!”

“Why are we not running and killing them then?”

“Lets get the rules first then bounce.”

“Okay.”

Big brother who might have a heart attack: Snackofthefuture Snackofthefuture

"Your eyes do not lie... that power... Csilla...you must be a chosen of the divine..." Kotori walked closer to the woman, gazing at her with a look of disbelief.

Could she be a Chosen? Of course, Kotori's gods could no longer choose, but what if her power was from different gods? If that were true, this woman may have what it takes to bond with Wakinyan. Kotori felt the seeds of hope spring up for the first time since witnessing Hodir and Wyman. The relief in her chest was bubbly and light, like a heavy bag had been dropped off her shoulders. She reminded herself that Wakinyan might not accept her, a lesson found in memories of blood and light, but for now she allowed herself to have a small fracture of hope.

A chosen of the divine? Csilla had no idea what these words meant. She stared back at Kotori’s gaze with a look of confusion, tilting her head alongside the look. Could she mean something similar the energy she felt when she was near the two of them? They felt similar yet different. She had no idea what this meant, maybe they were of similar decent? All she knew is that she wasn’t chosen for the power she owns, she was born with it.

"You were sent here by SIN as well, yet you do not intend to conquer this world, do you? I am thankful for this. Please, if you would, let us travel together. This world is drowning in chaos, darkness, but together we can fight it." Kotori slung her bow over her shoulder, her expression determined. "Look at what we can do together. Think of what more can be done with more allies, what this world can do with just a little more hope!"

So many things were clouding the back of Kotori's mind; Susan's behavior, the disappearance of Hitorikage, the death of her world, but she had to keep her head up, if not for herself then for everyone else. Her duty as guardian of light did not end with her death. This world was her own now, and she was not about to let it consume itself. She had to keep focused on what was in front of her. If she could just take one more step, one more fight... maybe she could outrun what was behind her.

Csilla nodded towards Kotori, “That is correct, I wish to help this world rather than damage it. And, it would be an honor to fight alongside you my friend. I hope together we can help this world.” It earned her a smile from the other girl.

As they spoke Wakinyan stiffened, his burning gaze flung towards a towering building in the distance. It looked a lot like the ones found in the ruins of Kotori’s world, though much more beautiful and a lot less shattered. A shiver ran up Kotori's spine, a whisper ringing in her ears. A prayer? It had been so long. She could not quite make out the words, but she understood the plea behind them. Wakinyan heard it too, and renewed energy sparked over his hide. Maybe it was just the bathing glow from Sulric's unbroken shield, but he almost looked like his old self for a moment.

"Someone calls for help..." Kotori spoke the beast's thoughts, her body almost instinctively moving to Wakinyan, leaping onto his back. Susan silently climbed up, unquestioning. Csilla mounting quickly as well, understanding the situation. A moment later they took off.

Sparks lingered over the places where Wakinyan’s hooves met the cobblestone, his legs flowing over the broken rubble like water. Soldiers wearing both the sigils of Mollug and Castellian were fleeing towards and past them, fear covering their expressions. They scattered away from the path of the Divine Beast, some stopping to watch in awe as he bounded into the air. Kotori could feel Wakinyan’s wrath tingling along her skin, hear his judgement in the wind that brushed through her hair. This creature had done many dark deeds, but Kotori sensed something else. A granule of innocence. Could it be?

There was a roar as soft as thunder, a flash of light, as divine wrath shot towards Hecate. It exploded between the demon child and her prey, showering one with harmless sparks and smiting the other if she did not evade in time. Wakinyan and his riders landed on the ground near the scene. The beast growled, his lightning and Sulric’s shield casting a white-gold glow over the cathedral’s bloody steps.

Csilla hopped off the beast known as Wakinyan and quickly ran over to the woman. She helped her up, before putting her behind her, defending her from the demonic child. She summoned a sword in her hand, ready for battle if need be.

Kotori took her place beside Csilla and the woman, holding onto her bow and staring curiously at the child, trying to figure out what this creature was. Everything about this seemed wrong to her.

Meanwhile, Susan sat on Wakinyan with an expression of disinterest.

-Lucy Kai and Cassandra Bellamy-

Lucy spent her time in her newly acquired castle doing what every great ruler has to eventually. She spent her time learning, learning about the world she had been summoned to. This had been her goal from the start of her appearance in the world, to quickly gain as much info as needed about her new home. The added loyal army of bandits and crumbling fortress had been much appreciated additions to her objective. Originally she had planned on finding the first habitable area she could find and then learning as much as possible. It just so happened that the bandit fortress had been the first place she had come across. She had, to put it simply, gotten quite lucky.

Her first movement as commander of the fortress was to contact the other summoned in the region, her second move was obtaining an education on the lands. Her third move however was for her newfound small army. She ordered her bandits who weren't busy with personal concerns, pillaging or being injured to begin constructing barracks. At first the men had been hesitant to obey, and then Lucy had made an example of one of the bandits. The one who had allowed her into the fortress. For working with her so well, she made him her personal bodyguard, with all the perks and qualities afforded to those in similar positions. She offered this boon to the bandits who worked hardest and was met with grand results. Barracks construction and repairs were started near immediately.

Lucy had first after cowing the rulers of the fort, scoped them for as much relevant info on current events as possible, learning quickly of the wars engulfing the continent, the demons plaguing the north and the other continents dealing with their own issues. Then she drilled them for as much info on Mollug and its inhabitants as possible, learning of their common disposition and the state of the ruling party. The Council would need to be dealt with quickly as it seemed their influence was quite respectable, hopefully they wouldn't turn out to be too cunning. After acquiring all the info on Mollug she could bear, Lucy then asked the question of the summoned. This question got Lucy plenty of info as apparently, wanted posters for the powerful outworlders had already started appearing all over Mollug and past. The High Council wanted the Champions of SIN dealt with as soon as possible. Luckily for Lucy, new allies were all about, mostly in the form of other summoned as it happened, but there were plenty of others who’d most certainly rally to her power. Mollug as she had learned was not a kind nation, and the masses, under the guidance of a strong leader would most certainly rebel at the first opportunity. Lucy aimed to be that opportunity, and if the Brotherhood could help her with that approach then all the better.

Kana the shackled goddess and Cassandra the former inquisitor were the two sent to deal with the woman named Lucy Kai. Kezathul was busy dealing with the administrative pains of running a fledgling army and had been doing so since troops had fallen under his dominion; his dedication to the cause and his diligence and strength in the face of such grunt work only made Cassandra swoon more for the alien. She never forgot herself in his presence however, the most she showed in terms of affection to the warrior in public was a slight blush or a tender smile. She had found herself caring far more than she had thought possible for the alien warrior; she was happy about it however, it had been such a long time since she had been able to feel anything akin to romance. Being an official of the Mollug government made it difficult to form connections with others. Now that she had departed from their overbearing rule she had found herself making friends and once again enjoying life. She knew it wouldn't last long however, the cruel reach of the High Council was long and the hammer they brought down on traitors merciless. The Brotherhood needed the assistance and home of this Lucy Kai terribly

When they arrived Kana made her way swiftly and fearlessly to the front gate. Cassandra got into position with her troops, mostly the experienced skirmishers she had fought alongside at the battle of the Ebon Shrine, but several others were newcomers, Nortestran deserters and Mollug countrymen who had decided Kez’s cause was worthy of following. The reason Cassandra lead these newcomers today was for integration’s sake; Even the less experienced soldiers needed time in tense situations. It couldn't be the same strong men fighting all the time, even if that would result in lesser casualties. Hopefully there would be no need for violence today however, and this Lucy Kai of the Summoned would prove one of the smarter sorts. Her fears of idiocy and violence were calmed when the gate was opened to Kana’s unit. Cassandra’s men stayed in their positions however, not joining their brethren but remaining vigilant for any sign of treachery.

Lucy was guarded by four figures and standing with her arms crossed in the center of the fortress courtyard. One of the figures was a knight in all black, a woman dressed all in white, a bandit covered in baggy clothing and another wielding a large axe. Bandits were hidden all throughout the courtyard and others far more obvious stood all around on the walls, on the courtyard ground and inside the fortress watching over. The empress was happy the summoned had answered her summons, not as many as she had hoped had come but she assumed the rest were all busy currently with the many battles she had heard they had joined in the past week. This Kana was an interesting sort to have sent to her; Lucy and the goddess’s powers were quite similar with each depending on subordinates. Hopefully this would lead to greater cohesion rather than conflict. Lucy suspected in the coming future it could be cause for concern, but as of the present, they both had larger issues to deal with.

Kana approached with necessary caution and Lucy did the same, offering the necessary level of respect one would give to a divine figure and hopeful ally. Lucy would take the initiative in this negotiation however, opening the floor for conversation with several steps towards Kana and a quick phrase. “I want the military Kana. Should we defeat the High Council I want control of the army. And I want your assistance in carving a nation out for myself. Surely neither of these are unreasonable demands. I know that you and Kezathul covet Mollug. You can have it. I want Nortestra and the South. I'll even help you with the North if you desire it as well.” She smirked as she finished her statement, “Now tell me what you desire, and speak the truth of it.” In truth negotiations were not always best to start with your desires, but Lucy had no wish to get into the complex political maneuverings she knew she would have to deal with in the future. No use in rushing into the worst aspect of ruling over everyone.

It was a beautiful day on Kirin Kingdom. A marriage between the Royal Princess and the heir to Querra Empire resulted in a festive mood all around. The newlywed paraded around the capital while commoners and nobles all showered them with congratulations and well wishes. Yes, it was one of the happiest days in Kirin's Kingdom history. However, that was not how history would record the day.

That day was the last normal day in the world.

Right at midnight, the whole world was invaded by demons. Magic did not work on them. Technological weapons caused no more than flesh wounds. In a matter of days, the whole realm was put into ruins.

Of course, since no one was left, there was no one to remember the cause of this demonic invasion; a crazed young man who swore to send a hoard of angels to kill the princess for rejecting his gift.

Well, the young man succeeded. And everyone died.

---
Francis blinked his eyes once, twice, thrice, then four times. The sky was blue. Francis blinked his eyes again; once, twice, thrice, then four times. The sky was still blue. He frowned.

"Damn you!"

He jumped to a stand; a remarkable feat considering he was lying prone moments before. Everything around him was different. He was different. However, that was not something Francis was concerned about at the moment. His eyes were bloodshot. When his eyes fell onto a little girl, it was as if he was a cat that found its prey.

"It's you!"

Francis pounced at the girl.

"You! YOU! Do you have any idea what have you done?! Which unnecessary role in this green pencil sharpener are you? Have you lost your mind?! How could you destroy the beautiful blood-red sky from moments before I woke up which had no bearing to the present whatsoever! You're the one that destroyed my dream, my forced, unwanted dream to go to heavens and met the God of Nothingness before stealing from a Yellow Buddha to join the Useless Pantheon!"

What Francis just said made completely no sense. In fact, it was all nonsense that needed to be paid no heed to.

However, Francis stared into the girl as if she had killed his grandmother, danced on her grave, and lied about her age. His mouth curled into a scowl. His breathing was erratic. His nails dug into her shoulders. Whatever he was trying to say, it was obvious Francis was angry, mad, aggravated at the girl.

"Tell me, O' the niece of your grandfather's son's brother," Francis glared into the girl's eyes with a menacing voice. "how do you like your egg cooked?"

-Orobo Coltsin-
Orobo gaped at the feral demon assaulting the humans who had just arrived. The monster was vicious and bestial, roaring and eating with animal-like callousness. Honestly the creature was disgusting and it definitely seemed to be one of the tougher creatures any of them had encountered. Thankfully it bore no intelligence however, no glint of recognition or consciousness in the dark orbs that glittered on its face. Orobo was repulsed and enthralled, a beast as vicious as this one seemed like it would make a good addition to his army, and yet there was probably no way to acquire its strength. Its lacking in the consciousness department made the idea of forming a contract with it ridiculous. Orobo spat on the ground in frustration and watched as his demons and two compatriots fought for their lives. Orobo began to move towards the other arriving humans when a shadow fell over him from behind. A massive Netherwalker had appeared from behind the corner of the watchpost and looked at the summoner with a blank eyeless face and a gruesome dripping mouth.

Orobo, acting on instinct rolled from his position into the snow as the beast lunged at him. It simply widened the large hole in the wall of the post thankfully, rubble pouring down its sides as it’s cavernous mouth moaned and screamed. Orobo summoned a blade in his right hand as his left began to conjure up the symbols required for further summoning. The Netherwalker turned and with a howling moan it began to trundle towards him, lumbering and pained with the weight of its own diseased mass. Orobo dodged a demon that leaped at him from the side and slashed its chest with a deep gaping wound as it hurtled by. Blood splattered all over the snow and Orobo as it died and the giant Netherwalker made no attempt to assist its lesser brethren. It launched another set of attacks at Orobo smashing and stamping with its sharpened forelegs, accidentally crushing its wounded compatriot in the attempt. Orobo dodged easily simply leaping back several times. He then threw the blade at the Netherwalker severing its left back leg at one of the joints; the beast stumbled and fell into the powdery snow with a hideous grunt and foul scream. This was no end for the giant Netherwalker however as it simply began to drag itself after Orobo.

Orobo’s two traveling companions were making a good show of themselves, Ullis once again eating the flesh of disgusting creatures and Delilah once again showing off her summoning skills. Ullis killed the Nether Walkers attacking him with his blade and teeth, headbutting one of the more foolish creatures. Delilah summoned spirit wolves and beasts to do the dirty work for her. Both made Orobo glad he had chosen them for his entourage; Then as the Czarsnikeians began to retreat they screamed for Orobo and his people to come with. Orobo rallied his demons and forced them into making a diversionary last stand in the watch house, drawing the nether walkers and many assorted lesser demons to them. This allowed Orobo, Ullis and Delilah to escape through the horde and join up with the fleeing Czarsnikeians. This diversion didn't distract the Giant Netherwalker and the hideous unknown demon that had they had first encountered in the watchpost. These two beasts continued to pursue the fleeing group of assorted characters. Orobo had continued to make signs since he had flung his sword away and currently concentrated on summoning something powerful that could take up the rear in defense. His whole body began to glow with a black and shifting energy and Orobo made a cut to his right wrist quickly to draw blood for the powerful summoning. Unbeknownst to Orobo the blood of the netherwalkers mixed in with his own and shifted the summoning power level dramatically above what Orobo had intended.

Orobo pointed in front of the group with his now pitch black left hand, covered in shifting magic symbols and circles both on his flesh swirling around and floating in the air with slow rotations around his arm. A magic circle of pitch black design appeared on the snow and a figure began to appear. Then suddenly the circle turned blood red and the word “SIN” appeared in the center of it. Orobo groaned loudly as he suddenly realized what was happening. SIN was involving himself again. Orobo’s summoning made a massive deafening sound and a huge pressure could suddenly be felt all around as the figure in the circle changed into that of an entirely new form.

Hecate

"Five!"
she shouted, and the Mollug woman shut her eyes, expecting a painful death. Much to Hecate's shock, however, a bright flash of sparks exploded between them. The black-eyed child didn't know what it was, but the powerful lightning bolt that stemmed from it sent her flying a good three meters away, landing hard on her stomach. This pain was an entirely new thing to her. Hecate squirmed around, solid black tears falling from her eyes and wails lashing out in sickeningly dry gasps. Her insides were burning, and no matter how much she clawed and how much she curled up, it felt as if the pain got worse. Now shivering on her side, face stained with the black tears, she gulped abruptly, followed by regurgitation of more black fluid, this time from her mouth. Some meaty looking chunks were in the puddle of vomit. Hecate weakly groaned, using what was left of her sapped strength to try and stand, only falling into a seated position and leaning on her hands.

Through her blurred vision, Hecate would see the ones who did this to her: a group of girls and one big horse. "That's... not... fair!" she shouted through pained gasps. They played too rough, and Hecate was no longer in a mood to play. But that streak of lightning did something to her, for she was unable to go into her wraith form and run away. Rest was needed, but that didn't seem possible against this many people. Ivan was somewhere far, unable to help her, as was Felicia. She had to bring in friends of her own.

A pool of the black fluid covered an area of the ground in front of Hecate, bubbling and gulching every second. The first to rise was a bulky, skeletal figure at around six feet even with its hunchback. Its mouth stood permanently agape, arms replaced with sharpened bone. Mr. Hugs looked around before setting its sight on Hecate.
1582592555043.png

Opposite to it rose a towering figure, black sludge dripping from its features to reveal dozens of pale faces on top. Many arms protruded from its decomposed body, swirls of blue and orange surrounding it. It finally stopped at 10 feet high, the orange and blue splitting into its many arms. One of them held a crimson blade, swaying it side to side. The eyes of Mr. Grabby seemed to glare at every passing person, the faces at the back focusing on the black-eyed child.
1582592796119.png

In the center of the pool came a sphere of the black liquid. Like a shell, the sludge was flicked away by the thing's wings. At eight feet, the Eyeless Archangel rose above ground, its scarred wings fluttering each few seconds. A low hum emitted from the monstrosity as it eyed each of the four OtherWorlders ahead. With a crash, the scythe it wielded flicked from the ground and into its hands.
1582593141717.png

"Mr. Hugs, Mr. Grabby, Mr. Angel!" Hecate pointed at Kotori and her crew. "They're all bullies!"

Through all of their incomprehensible screeches, Wakinyan or Kotori may have heard what they really said:

-SIN-
SIN smiled as his newest catches began to form in the material realm. Grinning Like a father watching his child walk for the first time, the god clapped his hands as beings popped into existence. Here there was: a child with a dark secret capable of ruining the world, a succubus who once conquered a world through love, an electrical cultist obsessed with energy to the point it destroyed him, a woman who inherited a power that destroyed her reality, a Doggo, an unstable man who ended everything in his world but failed in his own goals, a demon hunter whose last breath was not truly her last, another unstable man, far more so in fact, who had destroyed the world for idiotic reasons and a mercenary who failed in the most vital job of his life, as it ended his own. This was not all of the summoned as this time elsewhere in Czarsnikei, he brought another being into existence simply to spice things up. SIN thought of the look that Orobo would have on his face and he laughed, laughed himself to tears in fact. Wiping them away, he noticed the fanatic was yelling at him, he missed nearly all of what the man said and was about to move him to another continent or island when the succubus walked up to him.

“I just want to pay off my newfound debt.” The succubus said to him. SIN stared blankly for a moment and then his face brightened. “Debt you say? Oho my good friend Adory, it's not you who owes me anything! I owe you in fact, for being soooo cooperative in joining your fellows here.” The chair popped up from the ground at this and adopted a hovering stance. SIN pulled Adory into his lap with ease and gestured to the vista in front of all the summoned. “And, I'm guessing you all are wondering what here is? This, here, is Valucia, Mollug specifically. The northern border of Mollug and Nortestra more specifically. This is a world enveloped in chaos, and no my good friend Obito, it is not here for some silly battle royale. That's far too small for my vision, more a war royale Id say. You're here to conquer the world, bring it to heel, or to order, I don't care either way. Just take control of this place!” The chair hovered over the drop of the cliff and SIN looked at Adory in the eyes for a moment before speaking again. “I won't be interfering too much so don't worry about lil ole me, at least not until the end. Two other groups of sentient summoned have been brought into this world as well, about a week ago. In the north and south less sentient beings have been summoned, they'll be problems I assure you. If there are other questions you might have please feel free to try and get an answer out of me. “

SIN floated back over the ground and set the chair down at the very edge of the cliff letting Adory off gently. He then waved his arms slightly, flourishing them a bit and off in Czarsnikei a very old demon awoke. SIN snickered and laid his hands gently in his lap, closing his eyes and breathing in air that he did not need. He summoned another cigarette and smoked it quickly tossing it over the edge once finished.

-Bounty hunters-
Across the continent, powerful forces gather, a singular goal in mind. The Outworlders have arrived cry the newsboys at the corner, tales whisper already of mighty deeds and great battles taking place across Nortestra. Hungry for wealth, forces private and public in nature scheme in preparation for their first moves against the newcomers to their world. In the Xact Empire a great prophet has once again taken up the mantle of the lecter and preaches the necessity of the destruction of the outworlders. Hundreds have taken up the call for blood and men and women across the continent are on the way to attempt the taking of the bounties on the Summoned. Several other figures of note other than the preacher have taken notice and the bounties placed on the summoned begin to find many eager takers.

-Account of a Nortestran soldier-
I joined the Nortestran military at 22, I have been fighting for my nation ever since, 22 long years of violence to show for it all. I've found myself for the past years, trapped, within the walls of our glorious capital of Castellan. There is no greater cause one could dedicate themselves to, and yet I find myself saddened by my state of affairs. I have no regrets about fighting for my emperor and nation, but I wish that I could have joined earlier in this conflict. In the first years of the war, tales tell of massive armies clashing on open fields and in dense forests, on both Mollug and Nortestran soil. What saddens me so is that none can deny we are losing this fight. Even with the forces of the outworlders our forces stand little chance. More than this however, the men are splitting into two groups; one believes in the summoned, and the ancient legends of the Frostfire princess, and the other believes the summoned to be puppets of some greater darker force, lulling us into false security for more diabolical means.

These thoughts are of no matter however as currently I lay in a foxhole, four of my betters shaking in the mud of the quickly built fortification. Our men have pushed the Mollugs to the fourth outer wall, only one left other than the one they occupy to push them out of. “These last two walls will be a pain” I say to the others in the foxhole, they nod blankly and then suddenly a horn is sounded. We’re all over the walls of the foxhole in moments, charging forwards towards a Mollug archer position. My axe and my stride is heavy, for fatigue runs through my whole being now, as it has since the siege started. We reach the position in a minute, losing a good many men to the enemy’s bows and crossbows on the way. Two of the men I was with in the foxhole lay dead behind me, their corpses riddled with lucky bolts and shafts. We clamber over the position quickly, the two others from the foxhole in front of me. One is a human with a warhammer and a helmet of gleaming steel, the other a dwarf with a halberd of black iron. Our red uniforms are stained with the blood of countless battles and the red of the uniform and the fluids is now indistinguishable. I myself am human, middle aged now and still fighting, still thinking of things other than violence during the violence. The dwarf falls, a spike of ice punching through his leg, and as he falls he hurls the spear through the air, killing his assailant with a vicious crack, tearing out the mage’s throat. I smash an enemy’s shield, the metal buckling and the arm underneath crumpling. I do not kill the man, but instead let him run, better to take more of the Mollug resources with medical care then to kill him and have five more take his place.

I care not for the politics, I simply care that my home is taken care of. I know Princess Athena will lead us to something glorious, something more than defeat. I trust her completely, and I know that most will agree when I say she is our nation's last great hope. Perhaps the Frostfire princess is real, perhaps not, all I know is that my nation is in trouble and any who assist it is in my eyes, a friend.

Argris and Mia

Mia was already a pile of nervousness, twiddling her fingers while waiting for the man to answer. In the meantime, two quickly-speaking men appeared along with a fluffy, white dog. She lit up upon seeing it, moving her hand to try and pet it only to see that it jumped up at the man in the rocking chair. The shy kid she was, not even the dog was enough to convince her to take a step closer to SIN. Argris would've banged his head against something if he could. During his explanation, Mia seemed not to understand a single word that came from SIN's mouth, choosing to be lost in thought of ponies and color. Argris, though, was intrigued by this situation they've been pulled into.

It was now Argris' turn to think. To think about the opportunities given, and how there was still hope for himself, yet! Mia destroyed enough of the rune that he regained most of his power, but not enough to release him, which was an absolute shame. But in a world of magic and warfare, the possibilities of another route were endless! The north sounded appealing to him. Then there were other summoned before them? Oh, just who and what he could meet... Then they heard mild rambling, and as Mia turned to face it, someone dared to pounce on her! Argris sighed to himself as the man grabbed her shoulders and yelled jumbles of nonsense at her.

Mia screamed and cried immediately, raising her weak little hands and trying to push his face away. But as her palm connected with his cheek, a loud 'thud' resonated from the scene. Mia would peek open her tear-filled eyes to see that Francis was a small distance away on the floor. Argris had used a discharge of mana, using enough force to launch through the air and rolling away. "Nobody dares to harm my vessel without expecting retribution..." Argris grumbled.

"V-Vessel?" she quietly squeaked, crawling away on her backside.

"Yes, you are the one containing me, after all. Now, Mia, that man is someone from the loony bin." Mia scrambled onto her feet, still hyperventilating and desperately looking around. Unbeknowst to her, darkness was being grasped out of thin air and into a concentrated ball in front of her hand. "I want you to aim your arm at hi—Mia Washington, where are you going?" Mia clenched her hands into fists, inadvertedly destroying the ball of darkness meant to destroy the loony who attacked her. Stupid girl... Patience, Argris, patience.

In a state of panic, Mia fled to hide behind the least threatening of the group: the Goodest Boi.

The Hateful Lord
(Solomon Fortress)

0r40wf14egy01.jpg

As the hexed summoning circle stained crimson, an imposing presence washed over the surrounding area. Waves of pure energy manifested in tangible blood-red oscillations that pulsed through the air violently. The shadowy form continued to grow, passing the size of a normal person and reaching 10ft in height. The intoxicating aura seemed to reach a climax before imploding back within the confines of the summoning circle and receding into the form it bore. The veil of darkness slowly burnt off from the figure and pale grey skin was revealed. Ebony horns, muscled physique and ornate waist-wear. Red markings trailed across certain sections of the being's body, but this may have represented scarring. There was a few breathless moments as the being seemed to regard itself inquisitively, peering at its own hands as if it hadn't seen them for a very long time. And then it raised one said hand forth.

"My name is wrath."

A powerful secondary boom was heard as the sound barrier was broken from the sheer energies and forces at work. A cone of unadulterated pyrokinetic fire blasted forth from the creature's open palm. All the demons before it were set aflame, screaming, bellowing and shrieking in pain as their flesh instantly blistered over and bones liquified in their bodies. A Netherwalker that had attempted to charge at Oboro had been made to bear the brunt of this attack and cremated into ash on contact. Lesser demons thrashed and twisted away from the source of this debilitating onslaught of flames, the extent reaching up to 50ft before the mighty being. For a brief moment lasting but a couple seconds, the land surrounding Solomon Fortress lit up in bright red and orange hues in light of the pyromanic activation of magic. The land scorched black as snow began to resettle on dust and cinders.

Several lesser demons charged at Khaoul, having sneakily avoided the blast by flanking from the sides. They pounced and tore at the demon lord with fangs and claws that could rend flesh. But not that of he. With skin and flesh stronger than the steel mortals used to slay them, Khaoul failed to react to these attacks as they clashed against him harmlessly and merely grabbed two by the head. His expression held a hard stare with a nasty glint. Anger heeded no patience, the true demon crushed their skulls in his fists and swiped a forearm to fling the rest back off into the snowstorm that had now resumed around him. Having rid himself of the current pest near him, Khaoul turned around to gaze down upon that which had summoned him to this unfamiliar realm. His eyes narrowed and his brow furrowed in what appeared to be contemptible contained fury.

"Mortals..."

-Ivan Federico-
The battle finished Ivan turned to eating a power bar as the cathedral emptied of warriors moving to new defensive positions around the building. He dropped the wrapper in a still lit fire eating away at the shattered foundation of the house Tobias had thrown. Pieces of the building and the remnants of others littered the area along with large stone chunks, entire logs worth of wood and huge piles of debris destroyed in the fight. The city streets were clogged with bodies fortifications and long old battlegrounds some still alight with magical fire. The courtyard of the main cathedral was little different piled with fortifications and burnt bodies. The Nortestrans methods of fighting, so often using fire, were a painful business for the Mollugs to deal with.

Ivan began to walk towards the cathedral steps, where the bird woman sat, listening in on the conversations and mutterings of the Nortestran soldiers nearby. They were in awe of the warriors that had joined them, the chance that they, in their time of need would be saved so suddenly. Ivan took a seat next to the woman and rested his gun against the cathedral wall, it was strangely peaceful now, the wind and distant sounds of battle mixing with the crackling of the fires and the booming of spellcasters to create a strange ambient atmosphere around them. The dust hung about still, mixing with the smoke and ash to create an almost misty effect; albeit an unhealthy one. Ivan pulled his pipe from his bag and loaded it with a single large nug, lighting it with a small clipper he’d found in one of his pockets. The bird woman seemed interesting enough and her armor and weapons gleamed with a technological edge Ivan had not seen on the world. He looked but couldn't see if Hecate was nearby, he sort of doubted it, she ran off rather easily.

“So what is your name my new friend?” Ivan asked after blowing out a small cloud of smoke away from her. “Where do you come from? What was the level of technology in your world? Hell, what was your world like? What was it called?” He asked question after question in a burst to get to know her, he’d answer them himself if asked, but he was truly intrigued by her apparent tech level, he hoped she had had a society as advanced as his so he could discuss something of modern relation. Of course it didn't matter much in this new world, but it would be nice if he could relate to the woman in cultural ways. It would be nice indeed if she was a modern type of modern intelligence; Judging by her apparel, more than modern might have even been appropriate.

Jihn
Jihn remained sitting on the same spot, hoping he would soon get the answer he desired, though as he did he noticed more individuals appearing, all of different appearance and... styles. Each and every single of the individual radiated with uniqueness and potential, but Jihn knew he wouldn't be able to accomplish anything in his current state. Looking around he looked back at his missing right arm and when he looked back up he was greeted by a dog who licked his face and made Jihn flinch.

He stopped for a second and looked back at the dog, Jihn moved his hand approaching the dogs neck... and gave it a small scratch, following it up by traveling to the back of the dog's ear and then the dogs head, patting it a bit. "Aren't you a precious things" Jihn said in a soft and kind voice while his face turned more innocent and kind. "You scared me for a second there" he kept saying as he began scratching the dogs back.

While Jihn was doing this, the dog's lick had made him realize that he was showing off a less than pleasant and approachable smile. If he'd want to further his goals, he'd need to follow a similar strategy of blending in with the environment and the Dog seemed like the perfect companion to do so. With a dog like that he would appear to be a kind and positive individual as pets normally reflect the personality of the owner and Jihn could tell that this dog was unnaturally happy. "Welp I guess that's all we have to know, I'll be on my way then." Jihn replied to SIN as he got up. "Hey buddy, wanna come with me?" he asked the dog hoping he would follow along. Jihn wanted to leave now, the longer he stayed here, the more time he would waste and he could potentially be seen and recognized by others. Thankfully none had really paid attention to him, so hopefully not many people would remember him.

"Did you see that?"

"The lightning bolt by the Cathedral? Yeah, but there are no clouds in the sky."

"Think its another battle?"

"I hope not, but the captain is picking men to check it out."

As Charon stood there listening in on the conversation of a pair of nearby soldiers, the android came to the conclusion that it was most likely some sort of battle happening. Or someone was showing off. Either way it was worth checking out, just in case.

"I'll investigate!" he loudly announces, scaring the shit out of the two soldiers as they had thought they were outside earshot of the metal man. One of them thankfully kept his act together enough to point in the direction of the Cathedral. The blue glow of nano-bot activity drastically dimmed until it was almost gone and his eyes returned to their normal brightness as Charon brought all of his other systems to full power As he started moving towards the direction indicated to him, the soul eater pondered using the behemoth's soul to accelerate his repairs so they would be done by the time he arrived. While the soul had started to decay in the Soul Eater Core despite not being used, it still had plenty of power left, enough to possibly last the android through the entire next battle. If he started using it now, then there would likely be nothing left by the time the next fight broke out. After a few seconds he decided on holding off using it, at least for now.

☼ Goodest Boi ☼

Delighted, Goodest Boi let out a happy whine as he was scratched behind the ear, one of his legs thumping against the ground. He knew the man wanted cuddle time! Goodest Boi was very proud of himself for being so smart, and also happy! So happy, that others might even feel it radiating off of him. The doggo's tail was wagging wildly as his back was scratched, stirring up a faint gust behind him.

This was a great day! He had already made a new friend who gave lots of headpats and back-scratches! Smiley-one-arm-man was so nice! Goodest Boi already loved him, even if he had no breads. Maybe he would have breads later? Did the man like breads? It didn't matter. Maybe if Goodest Boi found his arm he would give him breads? Yes! He would find the arm! He would find it and bring it to smiley man and make him happy (and get breads)!

Goodest Boi let out an excited bark when smiley man stood up. He planned to follow but his short attention span was interrupted when a child took cover behind him. It was the little girl! Goodest Boi turned around and began licking her face, placing his paws on her shoulders. He knew a sad face when he saw one, so he was going to make it go away! Maybe then the girl would want to play? Did she need cuddle time too? Goodest Boi pushed his head under her arm, and stood still, tail wagging while he waited for a hug. This usually did the trick on Stupid Mutt. If it worked on him it would definitely help the little girl! Then she would be happy again!
☼ As Mia touches the floof she will feel a comforting warmth emanating from Goodest Boi, helping to sooth her fear. Almost as if its being absorbed.

It wasn't until smiley man spoke up that Goodest Boi remembered his quest to find the arm. "Hey buddy, wanna come with me?"

Goodest Boi tilted his head at the smiley man then barked in response. Only once Mia let go of him did he scamper off to follow the man, tail wiggling.

Judith frowned as she considered SIN's words, her arms crossed under her chest. "I do have one question. Assuming one or all of us are able to do that for you, is there any chance of getting home after the fact? Or was this a one way trip no matter what?"

The Devil Hunter was assuming it was a one way trip, but she figured she may as well ask. Of course there was always the chance that this SIN would just tell her what she wanted to hear and not hold up his end of the bargain. Regardless of the answer, this promised to be a hell of an adventure!

Francis laid eagle-sprawled on the dirt floor. He found his eyes coming face to face with the blue sky again. He blinked, digesting what just happened. The girl had pushed him down. With an astonished expression on his face, Francis pulled himself to a sitting position.

"You pushed me down," whispered Francis disbelief.

He dusted the dirt off his clothes. Ignoring any reaction anyone might have had toward him, Francis approached the crying girl and the dog. His steps were slow. They were made deliberately, carefully, as to not scare the girl. Gone was the fire in his eyes, replaced by a soft light. It was almost kind. And warm.

He knelt toward Mia. Francis lowered his head.

"In accordance with the contract between the Lowly, Subservient Self of Man and the Griffonage Writing of a Pathologist's Purlicue, I declare myself, Francis Elestiel Ward, Son of Heaven, Personal Maid to the Little Girl Who Had Hit Son of Heaven Flying for the next quarter of a quarter of a year or until the Heaven wishes otherwise. Upon the Heaven and the Celestials within, I solemnly swear not to break this holy vow or may the Lightning of Tribulation strikes me to death."

A bolt of lightning suddenly stroke down in the distance in an otherwise clear, beautiful day. It was an odd natural phenomenon, yet not one that Francis even spared a glance at. His eyes were focused solely on Mia.

"How would you like me to address you," there was no hint of joking in his voice. "Mistress?"

While Kana's expression never changed as she listened to the other woman's demands, while she had tried to stay out of the politics of the other gods back home, she did learn a thing or two about keeping a poker face over the centuries. What Lucy wanted would essentially put the Brotherhood and everything they aimed for at her mercy, and that could not be allowed to happen. The goddess had come here to put the bandits under the Brotherhood's command or to wipe them out, but now it was looking that neither would be feasible given the ambition Lucy was so far displaying. At least not without unacceptable losses. Even letting her control the two of the other countries was too much, but Kana was willing to bet that Lucy would aim for those places either way. An alliance would at least let the Brotherhood keep an eye on her activities and better determine if she was a threat that needed to be eliminated or an ally worth keeping around.

“Our forces would not appreciate being put under the command under someone who is not only not part of the Brotherhood, but also plans to form her own empire separate of us.” She paused for a moment to cross her arms. “I'm guessing your people would feel the same way about working for us. Either situation would lead to problems and would not be ideal with the conflict that looms before us. A more traditional alliance would be a smarter idea, but before we get to that I would answer your question. Everything we have learned about this world tell us that it has been through too much. We would bring peace to the people so they can live with out fear.”

Kana's eyes narrow. “Now it is your turn. What do you seek to do?”

Being let free Gustas swing his rifle and pointed it at who dragged him into the dark part of the building. Noticing the hood and the strange laughter gustas slowly pit the rifle down finally realizing who it was. He couldn’t believe it himself. Hakai had just sent him to go get this person and here they were. The man continue to laugh as he crouched down. Gustas started laughing too.

“You scared the hell outta me y’know?”

“You’re still alive shut up. Hehehe”

“Yeah your right. Hahah! WOW This is just crazy to me. YOU’RE HERE HAHAHA!”

The two hugged each other tightly before taking a moment to take in the reunion. They discussed to each other of what had happened over the time they last seen other completely catching up. The both laughed and enjoyed the conversation quite well. Though the mysterious man got a bit serious.

“Who is the powerful entity i sense?”

“Oh that guy.. He’s serious bad news. It’s not just him though. He has a friend you seriously can’t sense, they both have a sadistic way of fighting. They’re one of the summoned mentioned a lot.”

“I heard about that lot. Hmmm... It seems our lives will be different.”

“Yeah.. Even though the two are strange they helped me out so they’re solid in my eyes. Have you seen Dana then?”

“Oh no, not yet. I plan too yes. Maybe they’ll help?”

“They aren’t the nicest mate. Try though.”

“Ah. They fit in Mollug huh?”

“Very so.”

-Orobo, Khaoul, Yamiko, Isekare, Skathi, Ronin,-

Orobo gasped for breath as the summoning drained him of energy, his vision pulsing and his mouth going dry as he felt the magic in his blood race through him to his arm. The spell had not gone as he had been expecting; Orobo had summoned something entirely unknown to him. A demon he didnt recognize at all stood before all of them, exuding a powerful aura and casting a heavy pressure over all of the individuals present. The summoner grimaced and openly frowned; His incantation had not gone just as planned. Rule #1 of summoning creatures; Know your subject. Panting, Orobo cursed that somehow, someway, HIS summoning had gone wrong! He was a King of Monsters, Ruler of the savage and the primal! He knew every one of his subjects, he made sure he understood his people when he was in charge! He would not be known as anything less than a fantastic leader!!!

The appearance of the new and powerful demon had thrown everyone including the demons into a shock of sorts and Orobo himself openly gaped at the suprise new appearance. Orobo felt anger and hate towards SIN flood his veins as he watched the result of his spell’s hijacking use its otherworldly power. Growling, he recovered and took the occurrence in stride; Moving near the demon Orobo said quickly in several words of a long dead language of devils that would translate words between them and then asked the demon a single question. Speaking curtly and quickly he looked the powerful beast dead in the eyes and when its claws came bearing down at him he did not flinch. "Friend, Or Foe?" he asked scowling with resolute determination. Khaoul's expression was dismissively belligerent as he gazed down at Orobo. So the mortal was attempting to engage in diplomacy...

"Foe…"

Khaoul instantly rushed forth as his large hand swiped with deadly speed and power in an attempt to slice his summoner to ribbons with his glorified fingernails. Unfortunately for the demon, his attack reached mere inches from Orobo's face before coming to a complete stop. His arm shook and struggled as he pressed on his assault, summoning his strength to carry out the deed but to no avail. His body was fighting against his will, the contract preventing him from harming Orobo. But it was not perfect. Through concentration, Khaoul managed to get his talons to inch closer. As his talons neared the summoner’s face, Orobo for the first time, felt the pressure of the Seal of Wrath; He felt the contract that bonded the demon and himself together. He felt exertion fill his body as the contract took effect, and stopped Khaoul’s assault. Orobo struggled for a moment, wrestling with the demon for control, as the contract between the two of them solidified, tattoos of black cursive ink appeared, writing thick paragraphs on both of their bodies.

“Baka…” Yamiko paused in her retreat as did most others to see the towering demon, brimming with power. Glancing at the summoner, she finally remembered him: the idiot at the valley battle. The beast summoned seemed just as disgruntled to see him, raising his claw to slash at Orobo. In spite of her distaste for the man, she found herself breaking into a dash towards them, katana drawn. But not even her speed could set herself between the summoner and his demon, as Khaoul dealt his blow… or at least looked like it. Yamiko slowed to a stop behind Orobo, glaring up at the demon’s hideousness, the ferocity in his eyes. She saw the same ones staring daggers at her in her home world, and in Skathi when they battled the Culling Blade. As the demon’s talons inched closer and closer to Orobo, Yamiko chose not to waste any more time. Sword raised, she would’ve jumped around the summoner to prepare an attack, if only she had spared attention to him instead of only the large beast; Orobo unexpectedly leapt back, more than stumbling a little into Yamiko.

In the distance, the ice spirit was all the more happy to continue the fight. The bright flames that briefly appeared all around them only sent their adrenaline pumping. “W-What fun!” he yelled, voice stammering from the pure excitement he felt. “W-What f-fun!” As Skathi repelled the mindless demons with ice, not giving any of the attackers a chance to even scratch them. “The demons I faced were far more threatening than any of you pathetic pretenders!” he mocked, cutting down another hapless demon.

Orobo was struggling. Stopping this demon, this “Khaoul”, as the demonic voice echoed its name in his head, was proving to be a feat Orobo disliked immensely. Orobo took a step backwards, slowly, struggling the whole time to keep the demon’s arm locked into place. The Black Magicks, Blood Incantation and Royal contract were all working, each contract methodology pumping energy into keeping Khaoul from ripping into Orobo. Orobo then leaped backwards, unaware of Yamiko’s position behind him, simply desperate to avoid the razor sharp talons inches from tearing him into shreds. The talons resumed swift movement as the summoner retreated, barely missing the man's face save for a small scratch across his cheek. Leaping away, Orobo summoned a demon of suicide in that moment, right near the spot the summoner had been standing in moments beforehand. The demon was strapped all over its body with explosives and harshly red, demonic looking pieces of dynamite; on contact with Khaoul, it exploded. Khaoul raised his arms in front of himself to block the incoming demon, and a plume of explosive smoke erupted around them. As the dust and smoke settled, Khaoul remained where he was standing with black scorch marks wrapped over his forearms. Slowly, it was of note that the tarnished skin was gradually regenerating itself already. So this was what a demon prince's physiology was truly capable of. Khaoul glanced around to see where those pitiful mortals had gone.

Orobo crashed into Yamiko with a loudly yelled “Fuck!” He hadn't been expecting anything behind him and shock radiated through him at the contact with the oni. Right before the blast as Orobo had cast the spell for the suicide demon with his right hand, Orobo’s left hand had cast a trans-mutational spell on his body, changing its physiology to more likely survive an explosion and fire. The two of them collided heavily and spun through the air, flung away from the explosion by the massive kinetic force. The two skipped over the ground twice still connected before sliding to a stop in the soft snow, mostly unharmed. Orobo opened his eyes groaning, shaking snow and the dizziness from his skull, to see that a figure laid on top of him. Orobo, unsure of what to do with his hands, placed them on Yamiko’s shoulders, moving her slightly, seeing she was the woman he had seen earlier at The Ebon Shrine. Flustered slightly as Orobo was still quite attracted to the woman, but also moving with an urgency that kept people alive, Orobo looked past Yamiko at the demon warlord he had summoned. Khaoul had survived the blast with only scratches to show for it.

The first thing in Yamiko’s sight after the abrupt explosion was none other than Orobo, way closer to her than she would’ve ever allowed. Repulsed but willing to look past it (since it was accidental), Yamiko shoved his hands away and quickly jumped to her feet, the only word she said to the summoner being: “Up.” Before he stood, the katana formed in her hands again, steadily held towards Khaoul. Normally, she’d have ditched Orobo to put out his own fire, but even she doubted his ability to take care of this. Then, an arrow whistled through the air, flying over Yamiko and Orobo, aimed at the large demon’s head. Khaoul's crimson eyes shifted in reaction and he leaned to the side, allowing the arrow to streak past his face. Doroteya witnessed everything from her perch, how the foreigner summoned an array of demons, including the massively powerful beast that disobeyed his orders. She gritted her teeth at sight of them, already considering Orobo an enemy after the stunt he pulled. In the distance behind Yamiko and Orobo, Delilah almost let her pipe fall from her mouth upon the summoning of the demon. She’d known Orobo to be very powerful, but for what might’ve well been the king of all demons… The witch couldn’t help but laugh loud enough for the summoner to hear. Regaining her composure, dozens of light blue spirit animals appeared from nothingness, surrounding Yamiko and Orobo as if to shield them.

Orobo feeling almost dejected but with pride like that of a wounded lion, got up out of the snow quickly, brushing off the icy powder. Of course, the man had no way of knowing the repercussions of his feelings. Another black marking etched itself into Orobo's skin and the meaning of it was clear in his mind: Pride. He could feel his strength being sapped. The demon he had summoned was sapping his strength! Orobo felt hate begin to cloud his mind, wrath beginning to take hold of his heart. And then, suddenly, Orobo was calm, recalling memories of his early days contracting with demons. He remembered it was important to keep control when dealing with a powerful creature, and this was most certainly a powerful creature. The outworlder gathered his composure and then said with a force in his voice bolstered by the contract keeping Khaoul tethered to him. “Bow your head to me Khaoul, listen to my voice and obey. You are capable of thought, you use your brain, know that working with me is the wisest decision you can make as of right now. There are bigger foes to contend with Khaoul. They are all around us. I care not for your petty rage and foolish hatreds, you are in a new world. A world controlled by a god uncaring of any of us, under the heel of a being obviously mad, its name is SIN, and it is your most true enemy if there be any.”

Khaoul's eyes burst aflame and his muscles stretched, his body visibly stressed by the man's words.

"I bow to no mortal. You survive through an incomplete contract and when I am free of it, I will take your life as forfeit…" The demon's voice was deep and rumbled. He pointed a sharp talon in Orobo's direction, the Sin of Pride curse still in effect until one of them is rendered incapable of combat.

"I care not for your desperate babbling, mortal."

“Oh shut up you asshole! Don't come after me, I didn't even wanna summon your ugly ass! Stop trying to kill me man! Deal with the fuckers trying to kill you right now!"

Khaoul ignored the meaningless retort and simply began striding toward Oboro's group with heavy, menacing footsteps.

“Awwww fuck, Ive got bigger things to deal with than you right now Khaoul. Can’t we deal with this whole summoning and us being enemies for some reason thing later?”

Orobo asked as the blizzard slowed for several seconds, becoming a light flurry. Demons continued to erupt from the forest and the snow all around them. The combatants and the whole party had gotten close to the Solomon Fortress now and were near in range of the fortress spellcasters and ranged weapon parties. If they moved just a bit farther… Support from the Czarsnikeians would be in reach.

Isekare’s eyes narrowed as he watched the summoner cast his spell, brimming with dark power and black magic of some strange foreign sort. The swordmaster darted around the clearing the new demon had been summoned in, hacking and slashing through demon after demon, bisecting one and then dividing another into three pieces. Isekare was a fast and crafty bastard, using his enemy’s weight and shape against them to fling and trip their bodies before slicing and dicing them into tangled and bloody pieces. Isekare, the whole time during his cutting spree was smoothly herding the enemies, forming them intently and artfully into a tight group directly in front of Ronin and perfectly positioned for the ninja to finish off. The swordmaster was showing off basically, revealing only a mere portion of his skill within the beautiful cuts and movements. That Isekare trusted the ninja to deliver the finishing blows for so many enemies simply showed the faith the vampire held in Ronin’s skill. Turning back to the summoning, the swordmaster started forwards before stopping suddenly, staring at the beast that had been summoned. The creature was exerting a power level that put the master of blades on edge. Then the summoner who had been thrown from the explosion approached the demon again.

Ronin noticed one of the foreigners cast a spell, but was not pleased with the outcome. Not understanding why exactly, Ronin turned his attention to everyone else making sure they were all alright. The summoned demon released a bright flashing light even reflecting off the pure white snow. Only for that moment did Ronin turn looking towards the center of the light realizing the mighty demon emerging from the light. Ronin could feel the demon’s pressure which even made him shake a bit. There was no time to falter, Ronin turned his attention to the lesser demons Isekare set up for him unsheathing both his blades, killing multiple in an instant. He was using his flash step at this point, hacking through the demons with vicious forward speed. Knowing the vampire was far more powerful than what he was showing off Ronin nodded. giving his respects. Although Ronin was also holding back a lot. Jumping back after killing the demons his Owlboar ran to his side. The beast roared at the demons still approaching and seemed on the verge of going on a rampage.

“Relax boy.”

The summoner then brought forth a suicide bomber who rushed towards the large demon setting off a massive explosion. In the hopes that the explosion had worked Ronin felt relieved, but was soon disappointed by the demon’s reemergence. Something Ronin did think about was if the boy who summoned the demons was truly on their side or not. The massively sized one didn't even listen to him. It was moving at this point in a direction threatening to attack Solomon Fortress. Not a good sign at all in the samurai’s opinion.

“It seems we have gotten ourselves in a tight spot?”

Ronin was directly talking to Isekare as the two were nearly close to one another. Watching everything unfold he noticed a bolt of lightning barely missing a direct hit off the demon.

Isekare watched as Ronin finished the job on the creatures he had moved into position, admiring the ninja’s skill with his blades. Ronin hacked apart the feral demons with ruthless impunity, an assassin’s skill lacing each blow with deadly efficiency. Turning once again back to the demon warlord the outworlder had summoned, Isekare clenched his teeth, eyes narrowing once again. Another demon of strange character and demeanor. The explosion had done little damage to the massive creature, and it seemed to be examining its scorched arms from the way it held them after the explosion. Isekare was no fan of demons, but the way the other more instinctive creatures behaved towards the newly summoned one seemed to make it at least an enemy of the native devils. It looked different and behaved differently from the other demons so until it jabbed at the summoner’s face with it’s claws Isekare had been prepared to accept it as a friend of sorts. Now he was not so sure. The summoner was thrown by the explosion into another of the outworlders and the two spun away from the demon skidding to a stop some distance away. The two were fine, but so was the new demon. That was, until the creature from the watch post attacked, extending both of its horns in a frontal jabbing assault at Khaoul.

Isekare looked at Ronin again for a moment, panting slightly in the cold snow filled air, a cloud of mist forming from his mouth.

“A tight spot indeed, Ronin. Sin, This whole situation just keeps getting crazier doesn't it?”

Kotori & Wakinyan

No matter how twisted and demonic she was, Kotori could not help but feel a swell of pity when Hecate bounced back from the smite, her little body crumpled on the stony ground. Was that the very reason why the creature took such a form? Kotori could only wonder, but still she felt something out of place. A brief flicker of light, and a dangerous one. She watched as the girl coughed up pools of inky black, felt her skin crawl like the fingers of so many insects. While she stood before the cathedral of stranger gods, for a moment Kotori was transported back home. Corruption. It was potent, almost as strong as the Ocean Beast, and made it difficult to breathe. Part of her knew what would happen next, and yet nothing could prepare her for what crawled out of that abysmal depth.

A single claw, like the scythe of a mantis, was the first to lurch out from below, digging into the cobblestone. It hauled up the rest, all broken bones held together by strings of sinew. Its jaw was limp, its eyes voids, but the face remained hauntingly humanoid. Other such amalgamations followed, one with multiple heads and a crimson sword and the other a winged figure guiding a scythe. It took to the air, but Kotori did not watch. She held her head, weathering a tide of screams and emotions that were not her own. Both had heard the eyeless plea, one answering with wrath and the other with sorrow.

"They are suffering..." Kotori gasped, regaining her composure. Wakinyan rumbled deep in his chest, electricity cutting through the stagnant air. She glanced at him, then back to the three monstrosities before her. “No, there is something about the child. I… believe this is a similar corruption. If I could-”

Thunder crackled in her mind, cutting her off. Kotori narrowed her eyes, resisting. “Look at the one that flies, Wakinyan. Tell me if you do not see the light! As long as it struggles we cannot give up on it!”

Wakinyan reared back, one stomp of his hooves unleashing a torrent of heavenfire towards Mr. Grabby. He roared with rage, but in it Kotori only found relief. Kotori pressed her lips together and nodded in thanks to the beast, glad he had agreed. Unwilling to waste his trust, she readied an arrow.

“Susan, get this woman to safety. Csilla, I’m counting on you to handle the skeleton for now. I’m going to try breaking the curse on that creature.” By the time Kotori was done speaking, she had leapt ahead, shooting at one of the angel’s wings with a lightning-charged arrow.

To challenge the corruption she had to get closer, though she was mindful not to stray too far from Wakinyan. The battle with Hodir had been a reminder of that. Thankfully, the divine beast was still watching over her, and in understanding her plan, he summoned a strong gust of wind from behind the eyeless angel, tugging it down to the ground, or at the very least closer to Kotori.

Susan watched it all, but soon remembered her own task. She snapped her fingers and the Mollug woman was transported into a void pocket. A moment or two later she was dropped into an adjacent street, horribly disoriented but safely out of harm’s way.

~The Nameless One~

Silence helps such a deafening sound. The sound was in one's mind was enough to drive most into the deepest depths of Madness. Lucky for him, Madness was an unknown concept. What was there to be crazy about? He knew who he was and he knew his duty. Well, as much as he could know about it anyways. He was never told why he was created, but the unending desire to destroy life was enough reason for him to believe that that was his cause and his reason for existing. However, the thoughts was in his mind contradicted that. He saw the things that came from life. He understood that they were strong. Things like religion, love and the will to survive. These were all things that seemed so illogical, but all the life that he has ever witnessed through the rifts that would appear in his pocket of reality showed that every form of complex life had these specific things. Why would complex life persist on these illogical things when they would inevitably die? It was a question that had filled his mind for the longest time. So long he had lost track.

He wondered why he had these conflicting feelings. Was he defective? Or was it meant to be? He had run out of ways to answer this question. None of them seem to work. So, if everything logical was failing, perhaps it was time to try something illogical. He was watching through one of the Rifts in reality. A small girl praying. He didn't understand why, but her Yang energy became overflowing as she talked to this being that she had no proof was actually alive. It seemed rather fruitless to him, but her mere belief in this being, despite having never it was enough to cause her energy to overflow in such a positive way. Perhaps this was something to try.

He sat in the void, placing his hands together in the same praying position she was in. He closed his eyes and for the first time in his entire life, which had lasted more than most other universes, spoke out loud.

"Creator, I am confused. I feel the urge to destroy life, but still I question it. Complex life has so much I don't understand. They are illogical and focus their time on meaningless things. Please help he to understand these thoughts and tell me what I should do."

It was unclear to him if his creator was real or if he was just an anomaly of the universe. It was confusing to say the least, but he was already testing this, so he sat there with his eyes still closed. He waited patiently for a long while. He felt nothing heard nothing. Another failure he thought. He opened his eyes and was admittedly surprised to find himself no longer in his own small pocket of reality. Rather, finding himself facing a cliff.

He didn't look shocked or even surprised. His emotionless face simply looked from one side to another slowly. He took in the fabulous scenery. It was not the first time he had seen something like this. However, it was much more beautiful in person rather than through a rift in reality. For the first time in his life he felt wind. He could smell the wonderful scent that came along with the breeze.

Was this merely a coincidence? Did his creator bring him here in order for him to find an answer? Maybe it was all a coincidence? He could not deny that it was rather odd he would be brought to a new world after asking his creator for answers. It was honestly a bit far out there to be a coincidence.

As looked around he couldn't help but notice the massive abundance of energy here. Both yin and yang. Flowing massively in some areas and not at all in the others. It was clear that those areas where the energy was flowing must have been populated with life. Part of him wanted to leave immediately and wipe it out, but another part of him understood that maybe life was worth protecting. This caused a major imbalance in his thoughts. Perhaps he was brought here so he could discover everything for himself. That would be the route he would try. He wanted to know more about complex life before he decided if he would destroy it.

He turned his head quickly once he heard loud and annoying yelling. It was a creature. One with wings talkin about wrath and anger. He didn't bother speaking or fully turning towards the creature. The amount of Yin energy this creature was releasing was on another level. Something secreting that much negative energy was a bit new to him. It was almost like this creature bathed in negativity, which was odd considering most of those complex beings he had witnessed preferred to live in Yang energy.

It was then that he noticed this strange being smoking cigarettes. What was odd was the fact that he couldn't sense any energy coming off this person at all. No Yin or yang. It was rather off-putting. This person looked similar enough to complex life, so why was he not emitting positive or negative energy?

This was something he needed to discover. He turned and walked barefoot over to this creature. Blatantly ignoring all the others around him. Even this raving, momsterous winged creature. He stepped right past them, still an emotionless look on his face as he finally stepped in front of who he did not know was named SIN. He leaned down and looked directly in this beings eyes. Still with an emotionless gaze, he seemed to study this being for a long while. After a moment he finally spoke directly to SIN without moving back or standing straight.

"You seem to be a being of complex life. Yet you show no signs of Yin or Yang. This is impossible in a living being, but you seem to defy this impossibility. Tell me, are you considered a complex living being?"

He did not move or break eye contact after he was done. He remained bent over with his face inches from the face of the being that had brought him to this brand new world. Face to face with a very powerful being, one that he could not recognize as living or dead. It was rather confusing, so he wasn't planning on leaving until he got an answer.
