The fact was that although Arwynn did in fact want to slay the dragon on the spot, and finally take her place as a true Dragonbane, but she knew better. This dragon was not her kill, its life belonged to the royal guard Juliet, who had struck the blow that had downed the dragon, so the option of its blood being used for the ritual was nonexistent. She battled with the possibilities in her head as she added, "I had always though your kind to be excellent healers?"

Arwynn would take out her canteen and sip some water, pouring some in her hand to let Shahe lap up. She glances at the dragon just helplessly lying there, -hmph, the wretched creature will surely die within a day's time, especially if that wound begins to fester..- she thought back to the jar of ointment in her bag but shot down the thought angrily


-no, these beasts are nothing more than savages, the ancient enemy to man. Think of its ancestors' tyranny; it would do the monster justice to end its pitiful life! it is not my kill...





She glared at Akata, her amber eyes looking at the fading green. -I might be able to get information from it, without it realizing it, after all it cannot possibly think straight, and besides if it does eventually escape I could track it.-





Getting up with a grumble, Arwynn walks around the fire to kneel down beside Akata and pours a bit of water down her throat, but careful not to choke the damned thing, "Don't expect me to change your diapers too..." She returns to her spot on the other side of the fire, her gaze glaring into the flames, "Tell me about your kind then... start by how you travel through the earth."

Akata would swallow but was no easy task,her neck hurt wen she did and Grunt....well atleast she would get few minutes extra of life,she heard her ask about how she travels the earth...dose she mean how her Kin survived and all or dose she mean how is akata abble to just...swim in the hard soil without any difficulty...she dint know she guess was her,Akata would look at her and cough slightly by accident but answer "If you mean me how i can do that.....its hard to explain...but lets say my body is made to do such things and aswell lots and lots of pass time doing it"

I start panicking running around the house looking for Storm. I ask all maids and butlers cooks and nurses scared. They say outside. I shift into a dragon and run outside and fly up out of breathe from running so much and being scared. My wings twitch as I start flying bringing me down a little as I sweep the dragon's land not seeing you so I stop at the edge of the land crying wanting you back.

"do you normally dig through the earth such as this, or do you prefer snow, sand?'' She says while motioning to the ground. Arwynn studies the dragon, wondering if she should wait until the dragon passes out to apply the ointment or just apply it now and be done with it.

"Storm!!!!!!" I scream at the top of my lungs and I growl them both echoing still really loud. I sniffle shivering and crying pawing at the ground wanting to find you but doesn't want to go past the line

Aero shifted to human form putting Nayome in a sitting position on the ground. Walking over to Jewel he see she has blood again and he can smell it. Sighing he sits down in the grass beside her, "Healing hurts" Aero says sadly as he holds his hand out and flames dance to her body healing her slowly.

Shahe stretched out his claws before curling into a ball, falling asleep. Picking up a piece of charcoal from the fire, Arwynn took out the notebook she had snagged from the manor and began to jot down some notes on a blank page as well as sketching some quick diagrams to illustrate them better. Although most women in her culture were discouraged from learning how to read and write, Arwynn was schooled in the art of language as part of her training as a Dragonbane, and she took great pride in the skill.

[Defective Kitten]

Knight quickly stood up, awakened by the flames and sound of Aero's voice. He was on the defense, about to give him a good kick in the face but Jewel calmed him down. "It's okay Knight, calm down." Speaking softly partially due to her lack of energy and the other part so Knight would understand. Feeling the flames start to heal her again, she bared the pain better than last night. Within a few long seconds, the rip had sealed and blood no longer escaped from the coughs. The last of the blood dropped down her chin, Jewel staring intently at Aero with dejected eyes. Her expression showed no anger nor happiness, just sadness and confusion.


"Why.. did you heal me.. again.. After I stabbed your shoulder..?" Her voice lingered, looking into his eyes that glowed a mysterious purple.

"I don't like seeing a woman hurt. Plus the cut wasn't bad" Aero said as he pulled his shirt aside so she could see. He smiled before standing up and deciding it best not to do anything to bother her or the horse. Looking at the sky he saw a bright star that he realized he'd known from what his father told him as a child. Father, if you're there give me guidance to my current deli-ma He thought with a silent prayer for his mother intertwined. His eyes shimmered as he thought about his father but he quickly closed them as not to cry about him. "I should probably leave so I won't cause trouble for you or your steed" He said looking down at Jewel before he started to walk back to where he came remembering that Zero was in Nayome's lap.

I run back inside crying still my wings twitching as I shift from my form running up the hill to the house again shivering as I fall and cut my hand it bleeding but I don't care. I keep running wiping the blood on my dress as I run inside and look in the house more Maids trying to take me to the nurse. I keep running and crying looking in the spaces you would've been as I start freaking out my hand dripping thick red blood every where maids helping me look. As some humans look outside I sit on the ground next to Storms bedroom not wanting to walk inside. To sad to look at his belongings.

Watching Aero walk away, Jewel lifted her hand to him. ".. wait.." Speaking quietly before getting her courage to speak louder, "Wait...! Please.. don't leave me.." Her voice cracked a little before realizing what she had said, "please don't go.." Jewel continued, W-what am I saying..? Why do I care so much? Warm tears streamed down her cheeks before she could even realized what she was going, I never cry.. Why am I being so weak?!

Aero turned around stopping in his tracks before seeing her tears. He walked back over to her and got down to her height, "I will stay if you want me to" Aero said as he looked at her "I hate to see a girl cry" He said putting a hand on the side of her face. I hope i'm doing the right thing here He thought to himself before taking a breath and closing his eyes. After opening his eyes back up he stared into her eyes he felt his heart beat start to speed up but he knew this was what he should be doing. "Why do you want me to stay though?" He asked her his eyes showing a sort of compassion and his care, What will she say though He worried to himself as he looked at her.

Feeling his hand on her cheek, Jewel placed her cold fingers on top of his. She didn't even know herself what the answer to his question was. "I.. I don't know.. is it bad I don't know..? You didn't leave me or hate me or want revenge even though I hurt you and accused you of something I don't know if you actually did or not. I don't believe you did but I was just so angry, and I know that's not a good reason but I wanted to say that I'm.. I'm.." Jewel couldn't get the words out right, she shook her head and squeezed his hand gently, eyes closed shut. She was getting flustered at herself since she'd never been in this position before.

"ah, so I assume you live in the Afoss Wastelands then...yes? The coloration suggests it, anyway..." she jots down a couple more notes before looking back up "His name is Shahe, and he is my companion." she runs her hand through the sleeping cat's fur before adding, "I'm surprised you beasts even know the word "Friend" it seems all you brutes do is eat, destroy, and enslave."

"It's not bad that you don't know it's feeling inside you right?" Aero asked her with a small smile as he looked at her. "I didn't try anything to hurt your princess, She seems to have a thing for Storm. So why would I ruin the chance to have peace between humans and dragons" He said his smile still existent as he remembered his hand was on her face and she was holding his hand. He felt himself start to blush and kept his eyes focused on hers as the back of his head reminded him Nayome was still there. "Love" He whispered quietly as he remembered his mother and father when they were happy and well together.

Jewel placed his hand on the ground, her's still linked between his fingers, "I was angry and stupid and too quick to assume.. I.." She looked down, breaking the eye contact before hesitantly looking back up at him, "I'm sorry..." Speaking in a whispering tone, it was obvious she didn't apologize often and doing this was quite nerve wracking on her part. Looking back down at their hand entwined between each other's, she shyly smiled at the ground. Her embarrassment and sheepishness made Jewel seem more like a normal girl rather than someone she could murder you at any given moment (but we won't talk about that).

"Don't worry about it. Everyone has little mishaps in life" Aero said while he blushed from her not freaking out. A little voice at the back of his head nocked against him saying Hey remember Nayome or you might die to dragon fire He shivered thinking about that but realized Nayome probably didn't have those kinds of feeling for him. He looked at Jewel and just thought about some things before his mind wandered for a bit and landed on the most random thing he could think of Could a human have a dragon's child? He blushed more from the thought before dismissing it with a nervous shake of his foot.

Tilting her head at his silence, it seemed that he was getting lost in thought. Crawling a little bit closer to him, Jewel looked up at him with puppyish eyes. "What're you thinking about?" Asking curiously before seeing a figure down below where Aero had came from, "Aero.. Who's that? Were they with you?" She spoke calmly, her finger pointed at the figure while her other hand held tightly to his.

Aero blushed more as she got closer to him so he turned around to look at Nayome and Zero. "Oh I wasn't thinking about anything, that's Nayome and the mouse is Zero a couple of friends of mine" Aero said with a nervous tone as he felt her hand on his more together than before. Why am I embarrassed this is what I wanted right His mind ran around in circles since he had no idea anymore. He turned back to Jewel his blush still presenting it's presence, She seems kinda worried about me being around other people He thought to himself which made him feel good on the inside but one outside he focused on the girl that was rather near to him.

"Nayome.." Jewel mumbled, I feel like I know that name.. The name was familiar but she had a tough time pin pointing where she heard that name from. A memory played through her head in that instant, "Nayome is your other lover.." Speaking aloud when she finally remembered when she heard the name. Her expression from happy soon changed to doubt than to hurt. She let Aero's hand go, backing away from him and stumbling to get up while doing so. Jewel wasn't angry or wanted revenge, she was simply just hurt.
