Fantasy Crimson Streets

Reminder: I will be gone until Saturday and then again starting Sunday night through Friday night. My apologies for any problems this may cause, though I doubt any should arise since Elara is skipping out on this mission.

Thanks for telling us!

So, it appears Sir Isaac confused who he was addressing, and subsequently Ina responded?

He meant to speak @ me I believe, and no I only wear one hood.

no, he spoke at me too

He called Inanis Nanni

That's why he tagged me in the post as well

tuttut, don't get too cocky now alexi... you're no superstar either, neither of us are, that's why this is probably the most shabby group of heroes in existence...

Good enough then.

I don't feel I am being cocky in the least. I believe I was being rather humble and civil.

I certainly feel like I have the right to scold someone for unsanctioned physical contact.

of course, of course, hell, Ina basically promised to slowly hunt and murder him just for calling him a silly name...

I just feel sometimes you confuse genius with unnecessary elaborate, and that last question was more trying get assurance of you being right.

But that's just how I feel, and I am no authority on it. It doesn't matter in this thread, and the way Alexi speak does fit in, in that it makes the dialogue different and easily recognisable. But if you ever were to implement it into a real, serious character beyond a hobby (for work things like scripts or writing), I don't think it would work as well.

Not trying to put you down or anything, just as some honest critics/opinions you might find useful.

(the last question gives a slight hint of Alexi not being sure of himself, as he would need the assurance of others that he is smart/right)

It's strictly character perspective, and there isn't any question in his mind that he is right. Nor would he think anyone in the party would think otherwise,

or that they don't want the same respect. (Also, just a side note. I write for a living, soo...)

The purpose of the question, was to show Zak that the sentiments were shared by the rest of the party. There is no reason to imagine they wouldn't be.

and still the fact that at least one person (me) gets that feeling about Alexi, proves that it can be interpreted different.

He also asked for them to stay explicitly silent, not to talk up or agree with him, making it harder to go against him as one literally has to seek out some form of confrontation with him. In a group where tensions are already rising before we are getting started, it would not be wise to take sides. This would force them to either not take your side (speak up and say no) which could be seen as a victory for Dorovich, or stay silent and having you "win" the argument. Naturally not taking sides would mean not speaking up, which is very much ingrained in human nature, but now even not talking would mean they support you, in this form of question.

I am pretty sure this is a fallacious way to win an argument, as it is very black and white and no middle ground is left. You force us to take a "winning side", while many would be in a gray zone that would normally fall under silence.

and basically speaking up and saying "I don't agree with you both" would alienate you even more from the group, as then you have 2 people who would know you're not on their side. So either you, or sir dorovich would come out the victor in this, the rest of us have no choice but to be pulled in.

Not sure why were having this discussion. To me, you are pointing out the very reasons it was phrased that way. He is a genius for a reason, let's let him do the thinking.

I do hope you've got a good editor. I write for a living, too, and I don't exactly savor Alexi's posts. Words just don't flow that way, y'know?

What I mean to say is that you shouldn't try to use something you do as leverage in an argument. There are numerous inept IT guys who bring in big bucks. Fifty Shades of Grey is Twilight fanfiction with the names changed, and while a good portion of those who know of it have a negative opinion of it, it still managed to bring in enough sales to get a movie.

“Touch me again, and I’ll touch you back.” he spat.
And what happens if Sir Isaac just so happens to stick his hand into Alexi's pants? I must say, if you intended for this to be funny, you did a great job, as I've been laughing about it for an hour solid. Try "Touch me again and I'll keep the hand." if you're aiming for threatening.

((I had already taken off the second hood in an earlier post, but then don't mind that))
Inanis took it off. Sir Isaac hadn't paid him much attention prior, thus leading to him only noticing as he turned away from Syrann. As it could have been part of a scarf or a hidden sack, Sir Isaac took a better look to be sure.

@CallSign

I'll edit it later then to fit in, sorry if I sometimes don't quite get finer nuances, saying or rare words, english is my second language and I am still learning every day ( :) )

@Elvengarda

Don't worry. It's a minor point, so feel free to leave it as-is. I just wanted to explain why he still did so.

@KnightofShadows

I was never trying to argue against you if that is how you feel, merely to offer my opinions/ critics on how you can improve, because I too sometimes don't get characters or arguments right. I find it much worse if someone doesn't tell me, because then I can't improve.

@CallSign

I must complement you on making Dorovich the biggest piece of arrogant, annoying shit I have ever seen in an RP. Bravo.

@CallSign

I just really like how you manage to get me angry at you, even though it is only a fictional character. It isn't a question of who is doing the better job here, I just think you deserve a compliment for it anyway. Though of course everyone else seems really good aswell, best group of RP'ers I ever laid my eyes upon. Let's make this something legendary (B')

If we ever manage to finish this we should turn it into a book. Slightly revised and compressed I think this would make a great story, the dynamics are certainly there and the world is vibrant enough too.

Anyone alive?

Is it too late to join this roleplay? Unless I'm mistaken, there was no notice of a closure.
