El’s suggestion was answered with Clair pulling him over to the stall of breads and pastries, with great enthusiasm. El himself was not one for sweets, and so he took very little interest in the stall food. Though he offered his own (querteys) money, Clair paid from her own pocket. El’s companion stored the food in her bottomless hat and brought out her broom.
“I really need to get myself something like that. I could have a portable greenhouse.” El spoke, absently, as he boarded her broom. El was not one who used a lot of convenience magic, so he rarely flew. He appreciated having friends who did though, and took full advantage. Clair mentioned helping him weed, and El dramatically leaned backwards, the back of his hand to his forehead. He had so much work to do, and Kudzu was an unforgiving vine with or without the accelerant charm he placed on the plant.
“It’s too late, my dear. Go on without me. But first torch my study so nobody can steal my work. Throw me in the flames and tell Quertey I’ve always loved him!”
El directed, as though he was actually giving his last will to her. He repositioned himself upright, grateful for Clair’s offer to help, though he wouldn’t admit it, and a tad apprehensive for anyone to see what kind of mess his place was. Hopefully he remembered to clean up the blood stains.

Niya listened carefully to Quertey's lecture. It was useful. Very useful. Maybe Niya could invest more into ink. She looked at the spell he was writing. There was a gap in the circle around it.

"Why don't you finish the rune?" Niya asked.

Surely it wouldn't be dangerous or anything.

Althea knew Rin Klendes as a selfish and destructive rich boy around town. She even heard that he lived in a huge house in the woods. Spoiled rich kids these days, right? When he came up to the two and began talking, Thea just kept looking down until Cat was finished with her piece. Thea didn't want to muster up a proper 'hello', so she just turned her head and responded with "What do you want Rin?" She wasn't running her shop right now. She didn't need to be kind to this teenager, he wasn't a customer right now and there would be nothing to gain from it. "Do you have business with us? Surely you don't want to make idle small talk about the weather." Sure she was being blunt about it, but Thea found that the best way to do anything is to get straight to the point and not to beat around any bushes.

Rin just musters a polite smile as he looks at thea "Well aren't you just getting straight to the point, yeah i just got a question for you though, do you know anything about Rue." he asked this question knowing that rue was a really rare herb and if she knew nothing about it he would have to find another place to look for it but if she did he would just ask her to out put it on the side for him and go meet her at her shop later.

"The spell doesn't last too long," Quertey answered, "I'll complete it when the others arrive." He glanced down at Niya, reading the confusion on her face, "Have you ever seen this spell before? It'll open a doorway back to our home." He said, sitting on the ground and leaning his back against the wall and crossing his legs casually, "It's a high-level spell, the symbols in the second tier are what dictate where the other opening of the doorway appear." Quertey pulled a pad of paper from his cloak and handed it to Niya, "Why don't you draw some magic to kill time?"

A doorway spell? Niya would’ve almost never need to learn spells like that if she was still in her guild. Quertey pulled out a wad of paper and handed it to her. Niya took it, a bit confused.

“Why don’t you draw some magic to kill time?”

Niya felt around for her pen. Someone kind had made it for when she was coven-less. Well... she still was, but she had hopes. Niya would just buy the cheapest ink and try to learn her own runes. The girl took that pen out and dipped it into her low quality ink. What was she in the mood for...?

Niya drew a quick fire resistance rune on the paper. She then drew a fire rune on it, making sure it’d only apply to a certain area. Orange flames ate the half of the paper that didn’t have Niya’s fingers on them. Cool.

Clair effortlessly boarded her broom in a singular fluid motion, taking her place just a few inches in front of El near the very top of the broom. It was after this very action El began performing one of his coven famous spectacles. 'Go on without me' ha if only! El was a great actor when he needed to be, especially good when something needed hiding. And now that she was recalling on his previous acts, well there wasn't a single one she didn't find humorous in some way or another. No matter the situation. But then again El probably knew her better than anyone, he likely knew several ways to lay rise to Clair's plethora of reactions even those she kept hidden.

Once El had finished his piece and Clair had finished tackling her urge to laugh at the buffoon she uttered quite quickly "Hold on tight" before shooting off like a bullet directly up and into the cloud layer. El likely getting a face full of hair as she did so, if not a deathly fright. Upon breaking cloud layer Clair whistled sharply and with it, the boom arched itself downward and again shot off only faster this time as a result of gravity. Clair herself was having a blast woohooing and ahhing as they descended and as they came closer and closer to the hard ground her enthusiasm only became more and more apparent. Leaning back into El's frame and raising her hands high into the air before ultimately whistling again to call the broom to a speedy halt just aside Nathaniel. "Haha, that was great! Hey Nathaniel!"

Hoping from the broom Clair practically latched onto Nathaniel with a hug before saying "Let's head home!". Afterwards, she discreetly brought her head up to rest on Nathaniel's shoulder and whispered quietly "We need to talk later, Sigil's orders....."

El remembered, somewhere around the time Clair sat down or the moment she told him to hold tight, why he hated flying. That woman was bordering on insane if she found this fun. He would never reject a ride, but this was in no way fun for him. The moment they shot up, El got a face full of green hair and almost lost his hold (though this was nothing new). Whatever color El had in his face drained and he held tight enough to whiten his knuckles.
“You’ll be the death of me woman,” El muttered, though the sound was lost between with whipping wind and Clair’s enthusiastic whooping. They landed where Quertey said to meet him. By landing, El thinks crashing is more accurate. When they came to a sudden halt, El was pushed against Clair and almost lost his balance.
“I’m worried about what you constitute as fun.” El said, as we dismounted. It wasn’t the worst ride, but it was always rattling to him. He regained composure and smiled widely at Quertey and Niya.
“Hello again! I hope you both found everything you needed to. Especially you Quertey, did you follow a shopping list this time?”

Thea looked Rin up and down, then quickly at Cat before answering. She simply told him to “follow” as she started to walk towards the nearest stall selling candles. While making some exchanges with the merchant to buy a few sticks of wax, Thea rattled her brain for the herb Rin was asking for. ‘Rue.. rue, it's been a while but I think remember it.‘ Thea knew this herb better by its botanical name, Ruta graveolen, and unfortunately it was something that was out of stock back at her shop.

“I know a bit about that herb. What do you need to know? If you’re interested in buying some, there isn't any at my store right now, but I'm headed out to look for some." After a slight pause of hesitation, Thea continued, "You're welcome to join me if you'd like."

Quertey smiled at Niya, "Not so bad, you can draw runes pretty neatly." He patted her on the head, "Very good, it seems like you know the basics." He said then stood, spotting the other two on the broomstick approaching over the horizon. Despite their dramatic enterence, Quertey didn't flinch, having grown accustomed to their antics over the years.
"You should be more considerate when flying people with weaker constitutions, you know?" He addressed Clair as they dismounted, "I'd have to find a new physician lest we lose our esteemed Elwin." Turning his attention to the afforementioned, Quertey grinned, "Don't worry about that, my dear, the old man knows my shopping habits better than I do myself. I mainly came here to buy ink... probably."
As usual, when Clair attatched herself to him, he gave little reaction, desensityzed to that too over the years, however at her words his expression grew momentarily grim. He sighed softly and nodded. Quertey thought of Sigil as a neccisary annoyance at best and a sharp thorn in his side at worst, but the worst part about recieving new orderes was finding out which side they fell under.
Pushing that thought to the side and pulling the resin pen out once more, he closed the rune, opening the doorway. "Alright you three, let's get going." He stepped through the portal.

The other end led to a wide hilly plain covered with green grass. Several meters from the portal sat a strange, quaint house, the facade of which came out from a hillside, seeming to leave part of the house underground (almost similarly to a hobbit hole). Some distance away from the coven and seperated by some fields was a small farming village and at the horizon in the opposite direction a dense forest grew.

Rin followed thea but when a bit relieved that she knew about the herb but a bit disappointed that she had none, when she invited him to join her to get some he was slightly hesitant at the offer, just a bit surprised and considering he really wants that herb to make his new type of potion he just couldn't say no, he then looks at Thea for a secound before nodding and smiling.
"That would be very much appreciated , Thank you."

Cat gave Thea one of her own candles as well. "Here you go, Thea. Don't worry about me, I buy more than enough to get me through, anyway. Just in case some client wants something on the spot."

The summoner turned to Rin. "Rue? Can't say I'm familiar with that particular herb. What sort of potion are you trying to make?"

The summoner turned to Rin. "Rue? Can't say I'm familiar with that particular herb. What sort of potion are you trying to make?"
Rin looks at Cat contemplating on weather to give them a answer, the potion he is making is a bit experimental and could be considered foul although it can increase a persons strength, pain tolerance and health it mainly it would make them way more aggressive as a side effect which some people would consider taboo.
"Well it's sorta of a experimental potion im not really sure if you would be all that interested in it." He said that with a bit of a nervous smile although he would love to talk about it he doesn't really think that she would approve of the potions side effects.

The words 'experimental potion' caught Thea's attention. She hasn't tried doing one of those herself in what felt like ages. "I'd love to know all about this potion of yours. Perhaps I could help perfect it." The smallest smile of excitement tugged at her lips. It isn't often that Thea works with other potion makers, but when she does, she gets low-key excited. "Why don't you tell me about it while we head out?" She gestured away from the marketplace and started to subtly walk back.

Rin looks at thea a bit amused by her excited, although he does know that thea does sell good and bad potions he didn't think that she was into doing experimental types of potions, he then muses in his thoughts for a secound before replying
"Alright but i must warn you this type of potions side effects can be considered a bit dark for some peoples taste."
He then started following behind thea as he spoke.

Thea let out a fake laugh before continuing "Hah. Side effects of a potion made by someone your age can't be too severe." Thea pursed her lips in suspicion for a moment. "What kind of elixir are you even trying to achieve?"
As she waited for his response, Thea flipped her hood down and examined her surroundings once more. There were still people around, but that's not what she was interested in. She spotted what she was looking for and led the two towards an alley. Thea kept walking deeper into the damp passage until she stopped in front of a specific door. A portal, or at least it was about to be. A while back, Althea enchanted this door to bring her to the forest. In order to open it to the correct destination, she had to enter the right 'passcode'. In order to do this, Thea traced an invisible symbol on the door with her finger and muttered the spell word, "Silva". She could see a flash of light come from the other side and she finally opened the door. As she opened it, she could see the greenery of the forest and stepped through, keeping the door open for the other two.

Rin looked at Thea in awe as she opened the portal door clearly not used to those types of secret entrances sure he was use to dealing with magic but secret passages were a bit different than what he was use to mainly because he never leaves his home unless its for research, shopping or some business related things . He then walked through the enchanted door clearly a bit enchanted almost forgetting Theas question he then starts to wonder on what kinda of magic is being used Spacial, Runes or some other type of magic.

"Not so bad, you can draw runes pretty neatly." The professor patted her head like she was a dog or something.

Niya felt her face get warm. She hadn't felt this way since she was four and just learning how to write. There now seemed to be a strange whirring sound, accompanied by sounds of cheering and screaming. Niya looked in the direction of the sound to see a broomstick coming right at her. The girl instinctively drew one of her knives out and leaped away, ready to fight if she had to. The broom, though, stopped right at Querty's side. Niya saw that it was just the Celestial Watcher and El. Now that Niya thought about it, the Celestial Watcher was always known to be that kind of person. Niya sighed and put the knife back where it belonged. She walked over to where she used to be.

"Haha, that was great! Hey Nathaniel!" Claire went over and hugged the man.

It took Niya a moment of comprehension to finally realize:

Ohhh, she likes him.

Maybe there was a way she could use that. Niya looked over at El. He struck her as... strange. Almost like Quertey. Was smiling so much part of their personalities? Why did they smile so much? Niya smiled back at El. She did that to look friendly, of couse. Niya looked back at Quertey as saw a face she'd never seen on him before. Before she had time to process, the man had gone to close the rune. A doorway opened, and Niya stepped through.

All around her was grass. She looked behind herself to see if the others were coming with.

Everyone Everyone

Clair was quick to step through the portal, doing so just after Niya and just before El, with her broomstick following so. The green and hill filled plain was, of course, the place she called home. Well, more precisely the hobbit hole in the near distance, the semi-hidden and cosy hobbit hole she absolutely adored. Within just a few seconds Clair felt as though a great weight had been lifted from her shoulders and with the wind blowing pleasantly through her emerald green hair Clair could have fallen to the ground and slept right away without any bother what so ever. Oh, it was good to be home!

With a soft sigh of relief, Clair took a hold of her broom and spun it around a few times before storing it back within her hat and after doing so she turned to face Niya smiling broadly and speaking softly as she did so "So Niya, this is it. Home sweet home! It might not look like much but trust me this place is great! You're going to love it"
As Clair spoke she brought herself closer and closer to the girl, circling her in an almost childish manner. As if playing a game or begging for attention. Her movements were almost mesmerising and in one swift movement Clair reached out and swiftly and snatched a couple of knives from the girl before hopping back away with a playful laugh of sorts and a wink "You'll love it so long as you remember no knives or weapons of any sort are permitted within the territory..... right, Nathaniel!"

El wandered slowly behind the group, and through the portal last. He watched the group, a little less energetic than when they left, though his sharp permanent grin was still faintly set on his face. He felt a bit relieved to be home himself. It wasn’t such a stressful day and the outing was productive. They even brought a potential student home. However, he had somewhat of a mess to clean up and a trip tonight through the thick of the forest. Something about the idea of working today made him less than enthusiastic. El listened to Clair as she disarmed the younger Niya. Clair was so nonchalant about it, El chuckled to himself.
“Yes welcome to our little abode everyone in our coven is quite gifted and unique in personality. It’s best to watch and listen, but make yourself at home. And if you find yourself in my study please refrain from touching anything.” El said, gently but not paying much attention. His gaze was fixed towards the forest.
“Ah Quertey, Clair, I’ll be leaving tonight for a supplies run of my own. If you need anything later, I’ll be sure to leave anything out that you might need and clean up a bit.” More than a bit. He would have to degenerate the overgrowth to prevent damage. “I’ll be around for a little while to take care of some things though.”
The black haired man had very little desire to do much more than sleep for the rest of the day, but he had a potential lead on his previous experiment involving the collection of some trillium erectum and Ashwagandha. Both plants weren’t sought after but were vital for a potential experiment. They were best picked in the middle of the night to very early mornings for the best effect, and since El’s trips were by foot, he would have to leave tonight. Anyways, it seemed like he should leave earlier to give Clair and Nathaniel a moment to chat.
Quertey seemed a bit distressed by whatever Clair told him, though El figured it involved the Sigil. If they needed to discuss another problem the coven is causing, or unorthodox practices, El would be informed eventually, but otherwise his did not want to pry.

Thea stared at Rin a bit impatiently. He looked dazed and she still wanted to know more about his experiment. "Hurry up and snap out of it before someone sees us." Once they were through, Thea shut the door and it disappeared in the blink of an eye. She turned back to face Rin while pulling out her dagger from her boot and pointed it at him. "Only rule. Don't wander off unless you want to get lost. I don't have the patience to go looking for you." That last part was a total lie, the real reason she didn't want him leaving was because she suddenly felt responsible for his well being. And with that, Thea sauntered off in a random direction examining all the plants as she passed them. Occasionally, she would harvest some herbs and sort them into small cylindrical jars that were stored in her satchel.
As she did this, she began to speak to Rin, "Tell me about your potion. Maybe I can help with your ~dark~ side effects."

When Thea placed a dagger at his neck he didn't even flinch he just rolled his eyes at it knowing he could easily destroy if needed although it would be a problem if she was able to use it first. When she explained the rules to him he didn't bother to reply he honestly already planned to stick close to her considering he doesn't know this place well and is not stupid enough to wonder off and get himself lost, so he just rolled his eyes when she said it but kept close to her anyway following her in whatever direction being sure to stand within 2 yards of her. When she asked about the potion he decided to give a bit of details since he knew the side effects could potional harm other people. " Well the potion potion is what i would consider a health type of potion it increases someones strength, pain tolerance and health even enabling people who have disabled limbs to use them again." He then waited a few second before telling the darker side effect "problem is that they will become more aggressive and violent usually attacking whoever is close to the when they become even slightly upset, it could be to the death or just them being left to a bloody pulp and facing someone with enhanced strength and pain tolerance is not fun or a good idea."

Quertey furrowed his brow, looking at the knives. "I don't know how I didn't notice that," he murmured to himself, "You don't have to worry about defense or anything, this area is safe and we don't teach combat-oriented spells here." He gingerly took the weapons from Clair's hand, "I'll keep them safe for you, if you want them at an appropriate time, you can have them back." He turned to glance at El and waved goodbye to him.
"Have fun! And don't stay out too late, you could use the rest." He bade the botanist before heading into the coven.
The interior reflected the exterior quite well, very cozy and homey with a somewhat strange but not inefficent layout. The inside was far larger than it appeared from the outside, an effect that could partially be attributed to the way the house was dug into the hillside and partially to a spacial augmentation spell.
"My apologies, miss Niya, but there's something important I have to discuss. Feel free to look around, but try not to open any closed doors, lest you disturb someone's work." Quertey explained, "You'll likely run into another student before long, if they aren't busy, tell them to show you around." Quertey then glanced at Clair, wordlessly telling her to follow him.
A spiral staircaise lay central to the houses construction, leading to the above and underground floors. At the base of these stairs and the end of a hallway Quertey's study was situated. The underground room was dimly but evenly lit with floating glass orbs imbued with phosphorescent magic. All the desks, shelves and even some of the chairs were cluttered with books, scrolls, and various miscellaneous magical items. In the corner of the room, a cage held two chubby white rats. Although his study was seperate from his bedroom, he almost always slept on a little couch in the corner.
"What did sigil want?" He asked, a trace of grimness bleeding into his voice, "It's nothing... dire, right?" He asked, walking across the room to take one of the rats out of the cage and allowing it to sit on his shoulder.
@my guys

Niya tried to follow the Celestial Watcher with her head, but she ended up spinning in circles. By the time Niya steadied herself, she’d noticed that Clair had her knives. Immediately she felt anxious. If this was anyone else, Niya would’ve blown them up. But this was the Celestial Watcher. It’d be wise to not challenge her. Clair handed the weapons to Quertey, who assured her that weapons weren’t needed. Niya considered handing him the other tools, but before that could happen, El already started speaking about having to go to do something somewhere. Niya got the sense that everyone here, in some way, was artificial.

The professor lead her into the coven itself, which seemed much larger inside than it did on the outside. Niya knew augmentations like this very well. In fact, her own bag had one. Quertey left, giving Claire some kind of look. He had something important to discuss or something. Niya didn’t really care enough to wonder what it was. She stood still, unsure of what to do next. Perhaps this was some warning for her to make a run for it while she still could.

Thea thought about what Rin said. If the potion's purpose would be for healing the handicapped, then surely there could be a way to prevent from manic episodes. Right? She had hundreds of questions and didn't hesitate to bombard Rin with them. “How long do the effects last so far? Is the potion permanent? Or is there a time limit for the aggression and healing properties? What ingredients did you use? How did you make it?” Thea didn’t expect him to answer all the questions, but she did want to know more. She wanted to know if what Rin was making was potentially dangerous.
As she thought about all of this, Thea started to navigate towards a rocky area in the forest. If she remembered correctly, that was where rue grew.
