Fandom Corpse Party: Stuff of Nightmares

"That's why I didn't want to tell you!" Ako said, "I knew you'd be upset! I don't want to go but..." But this was not the time to get upset over such a silly thing as moving; their lives were in peril.

"Can we discuss this after we get out of here alive?" she said, "You know... When we get home." She stood up. It would be easier to discuss this when they were safe at home.

(I'm guessing that at least one of them will die and they'll never get to discuss it...)

(IDK yet. It's a possibility.)

Akihiro smiled softly and stood up. "You're right. Let's go." This and his crush for her would have to wait till later. "Where to next? Forward?"

She brushed off her skirt and tried to smile.

"Yep." Ako said, "Remember what Naho said, spirits take many forms. Be prepared for anything." She gestured for him to lead on.

Akihiro nodded and held the floor board close to him. He slowly walked down the hall and saw corner. He held his hand up as slowly looked over. "Clear." He Said softly. He made his way down the hall. Then he saw a door. "I think we found the infirmary."

(OH FRICKITY FRUITCAKE. THE SECOND PLACE YOU DON'T WANNA GO IN CORPSE PARTY.)

"What's that?" Ako asked, shakily. She pointed down the corridor at the wall at the other end. There was some kind of dark pattern on the wall, difficult to see from here. There was a strong salty smell of blood and flesh. She had no idea if she wanted to know what it was. Probably not.

Akihiro looked down the hall and saw. "Oh god. I think there's another corpse there." He had a good idea on what that is. "Well the door is locked. And that's our only option."

(And oh lordy here we go! There's Mayu Suzumoto!)

(Okay back. Stuff took longer than I thought.)

"Let's go that way then." Ako said, her voice wavering. She covered her mouth and nose with her hands before stumbling forward. On closer inspection, it was a human corpse. A horribly mangled one that had clearly smashed into the wall and shattered on impact. Blood and guts were spilled everywhere and the stench was overwhelming.

"Oh my god!" Ako said, in horror.

Akihiro looked away and coughed. "Oh my god. That's horrible." He looked back and saw a id card and he picked it up. He wiped off the blood. "Here." He handed it to Ako.

"Mayu Suzumoto, Kisaragi High, 2-9." Ako read, "That poor girl... Looks like she was alone when she died, huh? Most people here seem to be on their own." And she swallowed hard as bile rose in her throat, crouching beside the body, "I... I'm sorry, Mayu Suzumoto. I'm sorry your life had to end this suddenly and horribly." Ako backed away from the body, feeling faint, "Let's go. I get the feeling she wouldn't want us to stare."

Shikyo quickly hurried after Yuina. The ghosts had a sinister feeling to them, and he didn't want to stick around to find out. They skirted around the ghosts and Shikyo saw the candle and the stairs. "Downstairs quickly" he said as he got to the stairway. Shikyo noticed the sports weren't following them, but he wanted to be far away from them. He ran downstairs and looked for a place to hide. He spotted a classroom a grabbed the handle. He pulled, the door opened, and Shikyo went inside. "Yuina in here!"

"Right behind you," Yuina shouted. The ghosts were just coming down the hall as they reached the door. Yuina ran in after Shikyo and slammed the door. "I don't know if this will work, but help me hold it closed." She pushed against the door just as it started shaking violently.

Shikyo put all his weigh on the door sinking down to the bottom of the door to balance the force against the door. As the door continued to shake Shikyo felt something wet on the floor where his hand was. He ignored it and continued to baracade the door until the shaking calmed down. He exhaled and slide down and sat with his back on the door. He set his hands down on the floor next to him. "Wh-What the heck was that?!" He said as he rubbed his eyes with his hands. He felt something wet touch his face and he pulled his hands away. His eyes widened as he realized his hands were covered in blood. He looked down and realized he was sitting in a pool of blood that was running in from outside the door. "Oh god!" He said as a thought came to him. "Do you think that" he started shaking like crazy. "Do you think we just let someone die?" He clutched his head "What if they were like us and were trying to get to safety!" He was starting to breakdown "What if we just prevented them from escaping!?"

"Woah, woah," Yuina said. The guy looked like he was really losing it. "Don't you think, if it had been someone, they would have shouted out or at least said something?" She thought about what she would have done if that was true and she were the one trying to get in. "Come to think of it, if that was a person we would have seen them approach the room, too. And they would have said something out in the hall. Just calm down for a second and think about the situation logically."

Shikyo calmed down a little bit and he looked at Yuina "I-I guess you could be right..." He looked down at the floor. "I don't think that logic will help us very much." He mumbled to himself. He pulled his legs up close. "Who's to say they weren't frightened to the point that they couldn't scream." He pulled his bag off his shoulder and pulled out his drawing notebook. Doing his best to keep the drawings clean he began filling through the pages. Looking through his drawings he began to calm down. He flipped to the next page to his drawings of his friends. Akihiro. Homoura. Haiko. Then he flipped to the picture of Yuina. He looked up at her. He never really showed everyone the drawings he made of them, cause he never had the courage too. Now he thought he might never get the chance. "Hey Yuina..." He said as he looked at the drawing of her. In the picture she was sitting in her desk listening to music like she usually did. "I never got around to showing you this." He held the notebook out to her.

Akihiro nodded and walked away from the corpse. "This place is just horrible." He said under his breathe. He looked back at Ako. "Let's find a key. There's got to be one somewhere."

"I hope my death isn't as horrible as that." Ako said, following. She kept glancing back. God, poor Mayu. Just the sight of her corpse made Ako want to throw up. She couldn't imagine how painful it must've been for the girl herself.

"Ah, yes. Mayu Suzumoto." Again, Naho appeared out of nowhere, behind them, "Poor girl. She was in a similar predicament to you, Ako. Moving away, terrified to lose her friends. Now, look at what she is. A splat on a wall, like a swatted bug." Somehow, Ako wasn't finding Naho's words comforting.

Akihiro looked back and saw her. "Well nice to see you again. And you know her?" He thought that she might have talked to her before her death.

"I know her not." Naho said, "But I watched as she was hurled from the infirmary to this horrible fate. I heard her last wishes. I saw her boyfriend taking pictures of her dead body. I saw him jump out of a window." She paused, "I am merely an observer of these events." Was she... Smiling? For a second, it looked to Ako, as if Naho was smiling. But then the moment ended. Maybe it was a trick of the poor light?

"Um..." Ako said, in confusion. There was no way Naho was enjoying this hellish place?

"I can show you the way to a key." Naho said, "But you will find it of no use. If you unlock the doors successfully, you will find an endless forest. I said earlier- or maybe later, who knows with these time dimensions?- that this place does not exist in reality. You can not simply walk back to the real world. There is a ritual required." She looked as if she were thinking about something confusing- as if she were trying to solve some equation in her head.

"A... Another ritual?" Ako was so not up for rituals right now. Her knees went weak just at the thought.

Akihiro listened closely. "Wait? Time dimensions? So the time here is different then our friends? How much of a difference is there?"

Naho waved his questions away with a sweep of her hand.

"I suggest you forget your friends." she said, "It's highly unlikely you'll see them ever again. Unless you die." There was definitely a small smile then, "Once you die, you'll be able to go across the dimensions and meet them again. Friends through life and death, as the charm was created for." The smile vanished as suddenly as it appeared, "But, like I said, there is a way out. I had notes on the ritual... But I lost them. You should hold onto your scraps of the charm, though. As I recall, you'll need them to escape." She advised.

Yuina looked at the picture and blushed profusely. The picture was so detailed, it made her eyes widen in wonder. "This," she began, "is amazing! How long did it take you? I wouldn't be able to do something like this even if I spent weeks on it!"
