Fandom Corpse Party: Stuff of Nightmares

"But I'm tired." Ako grumbled, "And hungry. And thirsty." She pouted, "Where are we going?" she asked, as he dragged her along by the hand.

Akihiro found another set of stairs. "These stairs here." He started going down the stairs, going straight to the first floor.

Stumbling on the stairs, Ako followed, still half asleep. Where were they even going? There was no escape. They were all going to die here.

"Watch out for spirits, Aki." she advised.

Akihiro stopped once they reached to the bottom. He looked around first. He looked back and noticed his hand was still holding hers. He let go and blushed lightly. "S-sorry."

"Don't be sorry, it's fine." Ako yawned, "Friends can hold hands, don't be so shy!" She brushed her hair out of her face and looked around. There was nothing particularly threatening; you know, minus the message written in blood on the wall that read GIVE IT BACK! in blood.

"Give what back?" Ako muttered.

Akihiro looked at the message and shrugged. "I doubt they're talking about this floor board." He held out his hand. "In that case." She did had a point. But then again she doesn't know about his crush on her though.

Ako grabbed his hand and held it firmly.

"Let's see if we can find some more of Naho's notes." she said, "Or- ooh, hello." There was a newspaper clipping pinned to the wall.

'Breaking News: Serial Kidnapping Ends In Murder'

The good name of Heavenly Host Elementary School has been stained in blood today as horrific details on the recent wave of disappearances are revealed. Over the past month, numerous children have gone missing within the town, and authorities quickly turned to kidnapping as the most likely explanation. Now investigators have located the whereabouts of these children, and their findings are far worse than anyone could've anticipated. The bodies of the absconded youths were discovered within the Heavenly Host Elementary School building on September 18th, 1973 at around 7:00 PM. Authorities further revealed that a male instructor from the school was found with them, alive but near-catatonic, holding a pair of bloodied scissors. Each of the corpses appeared to have had its tongue sev__ed and remove_________________ique mutilations far too grot___________________g to describe.

Akihiro read the clipping and grabbed. "My parents told me about these. I believe my mom was going there when it happened."

"I heard about the murders." Ako said, "Do you think the ghost children have anything to do with it?" They looked pretty mutilated. And the older girl... She'd had a pair of scissors!

Yuina checked each path and finally came to the one with the hole. "Let's use the floorboard we used from the path we came to cross this gap. Then, we could investigate down that hallway." She paused. "Or, we could check down this last hallway for a key to get this big door open and finally go outside."

"That's a reasonable assumption." Ako said, finally waking up properly, "But we'd need more evidence to go on. Like names or photos."

Akihiro nodded. "Well I bet there's another news article on this. But it'll have details on the victims." He held his key out. "And I have a feeling that this key can lead us to either that, or details on the ritual."

"Okay." Ako nodded, "And maybe... If we see the ghost children, we could try and ask about it?" It wasn't the greatest of plans. The spirits could easily fly into a rage and try to kill them.

"It says 'each of'..." Ako noticed, "But we've only seen two children. Does that mean there's more?"

"The infirmary? That way, right?" Ako pointed in what she hoped was the right direction, "There must be something pretty important for the door to be locked."

"See, I'm confused." Ako said, "There are messages and forces trying to compel us to leave. And yet, they're stopping us from leaving by scattering Naho's notes. Do they want us to leave or stay or-"

"Die!" Somebody giggled right in Ako's ear. She turned. There was nobody there.

"Did you- did you hear- nothing..." Ako shook her head.

"Nothing." Ako insisted, "I think I'm just paranoid." When they reached the infirmary, she couldn't help glancing over at poor Mayu. How come she got such a bloody death? What did she do to deserve that?

"Try the key." Ako said.

Akihiro nodded slowly and put the key in. He turned it slowly and it clicked. He chuckled. "We got it." He opened the door. He placed the floor board between the door and the wall so that it 'stays' opened. "Rule eight. Always have a exit."

"Oh, so you've got rules to surviving spirit filled elementary schools?" Ako teased, smiling. But she still felt uneasy. And she didn't feel any better in the infirmary. It was cold in there and filled with cobwebs.

Akihiro chuckled. "Not necessarily that. But rules on how to survive in a haunted building survival situation." He slowly walked in.

"I know you meant that, I was only joking!" Ako said, with a shrill laugh. What was wrong with her today? She was so on edge. It was probably that figure she kept seeing out of the corner of her eye or the agitated voice whispering in her head:

"Why won't you die already?" Yeah, it could be that.
