If he was implying what she thought he was, a part of her might actually enjoy herself. She hadn’t had a relationship in a long time, but she didn’t mind a little fun now and again. And he seemed like he could be a lot of fun.


She resisted the urge to shiver when he leaned in to whisper in her ear. It felt oddly… nice to have him that close for a moment, and it gave her goosebumps. It made sense though, he was an incredibly good looking man, and they were flirting. Her reaction was completely normal, she mentally assured herself. “I imagine that could get a little overwhelming at times. Though, from what I’ve seen, you’re a pretty capable man.”


She blinked when the motorcycle appeared, intrigued by the technology in his suit. That must be quite convenient. “If you leave me here, how do you intend on finding me tomorrow?” She smiled, tiling her head to the side, “I have several cities left to explore. And I’m not done exploring yours either.” Glancing down at her sandals, she added jokingly, “Though, without a car or something I’m going to be pretty slow… Aaaahhh flying would make this much easier. I'm gonna regret this later” she mumbled the last part quietly to herself. Her feet were going to be incredibly sore later, she knew it. She hoped she wouldn’t get any blisters, those weren’t fun.

Kevin stood back. A strange bird-child is less suspicious than a man in a weird mask, so he was going to have to check over this guy first. "Hey, I'm Kevin." He stepped back a bit and asked some questions befitting of meeting a guy in a rooster mask. "You aren't going to do anything...suspicious, are you? I mean, why else would you be wearing a mask like that?"

Thrax carefully cleaned his claws of gore and went over to Gough and Ashley "Figured that part out a while ago baby but I didn't think it would effect natural abilities since if I remember I should be bleeding liquid fire..." he said holding his right hand over his wound "Oh by the way neither of you cats would happen to have anything flamable on you I don't need anything tracking my location due to a sorry excuse for an attack" he said rolling his eyes. It occurred to him he was losing his touch out of his element but he was far from being soft hearted.

"What I am implying is up to you." Dick said as he climbed onto his motorcycle. The male could tell her mind went to something that everyone enjoyed, and he could tell she thought it would be even more enjoyable with him. However, judging by what she had said about relationships, Nightwing deducted it was just fun and nothing else. Eh, he could live with that. He had before. And Dick was fine with it. As long as he could still save everyone and no one dies, anything was fine.


"Oh trust me, it's fun." The hero beamed with a smile. "Knowing there is always someone stronger then you give you the drive to improve yourself. And all the threats are way more powerful then me. It helps me improve all the time. And the more I improve, the more people are safe." Revving the engine up, Dick felt like he really needed to go.


"I have my ways." Richard replied to her comment about their date tomorrow. "I wish I could explore with you, however, Gotham is a hotspot for crime. Can't you tell?" He gestured around him before revving the bike once more. "It really isn't safe here though...I can drop you back to your place, I guess. However, I'm going to be chasing down the speeders first. Jump on, and quick. Oh, and hold on tight." As soon as she was on, he handed Venus his helmet and sped off, a lot faster then a normal cycle could travel.


Nightwing chased the people down to a completely different city before they finally ran out of gas. "Guys, come on, steal a car with gas in it. It would have been a lot funner." The police finally caught up and took them back to Gotham. "Hu...this isn't star city or central city. Venus, you said you wanted to explore, correct?" Slowly, Nightwing drove the streets, looking around at the people snickering and pointing at him. With a sigh, he ignored them and continued. The one thing he could tell was that this place was supernatural.

Venus smiled as Nightwing beamed and spoke of the motivation he got from having opponents stronger than him. She admired his dedication, and the determination in his voice was inspiring her as well. Namora had been trying for a while to convince her to train, but she’d always declined. She did abhor violence after all. But, if it could be used to help people when she was otherwise powerless? Maybe she should give it a second though.


She was jolted from her train of thought when he offered to drop her off at her place, mentioning her safety. He really is an incredibly kind man, she couldn’t help but think. She was glad he was the first superhero type person she’d met. “Thank you, Nightwing. I really appreciate it!” She climbed on the bike behind him, accepting his helmet and wrapping her arms tight around his waist like he instructed her to. When he sped off, she gasped and her grip tightened even more. She only ever went this fast when flying, when she was in complete control. This was much different, and it was both terrifying and exhilarating. And, she couldn’t lie to herself, hugging him felt quite nice. He felt every bit as strong as he looked.


She giggled at his commentary when they finally caught up to the car thieves, careful to stay out of his way the entire time. After the police had left, she finally took a minute to look around. He was right. This wasn’t any place she was familiar with. It looked nice enough, though the stares and pointing were making her a little uncomfortable. She had loosened her grip on him a bit, now that they weren’t going incredibly fast. “I’d love to explore!” she replied, hugging him tightly for a moment in excitement. She couldn’t help herself, she loved learning new things and exploring.


The place looked much smaller than their big cities, almost picturesque. It was also cooler than San Francisco, and she shivered slightly at the change in temperature. She felt something else though, a tingle in her spine. This place wasn’t as normal as it seemed. There was something unnatural about the place.


“You know,” she said, leaning against him so he could hear her better, “We should trying getting lunch somewhere around here after we look around a bit. We might never have the chance to try food from this city again!” She paused, thinking for a moment. “I wonder if they take either of our money…?” She hadn’t had a chance to finish her breakfast that morning, having been interrupted by the mysterious voice, and all of her running around was leaving her a little hungry.

"It's fine, but sorry about this. I was meant to drop you off at...wherever you live." Blushing slightly as she tightened her grip on him for almost no reason, Nightwing smirked. "Every man would be jealous of me right now." He joked. "A beautiful lady hugging me tight? Yup, lucky. Almost as lucky as Bruce Wayne..." With a sigh as he made a small inside joke, Dick continued to drive around the small place.


It was no Gotham or Bludhaven, that was for sure. Maybe Smallvile? No, more like Virginia. New Virginia if anything. It all looked similar, yet slightly different. A shop an extra building away. The temperature slightly lower then normal. All of it was similar yet different. This just added to his theory, and the villain who could have done it looked all the more likely. However, he had to keep his smile on not to worry anyone. This was his universe that had done this.


Venus' offer was a shock, but a good one at that. "Hmm...I see. Sounds like a good plan." Dick agreed as he parked his bike. Getting off, he offered his hand to the female to help. "We should take the rest on foot. Maybe get you some more clothes to blend in. Pretty sure you don't need anything new for underneath though." Sticking out his tongue, Nightwing stretched. "And they should, I think. This is still a place in America after all. You can tell by the spellings of words. How, on that shop there, it has 'color' and not 'colour'."

After they parked she took his hand, smiling gratefully, and carefully climbed off the bike. She’d never ridden on one before; it had been fun. Pulling off the helmet, she shook her head and ran her fingers through her hair, pulling out the tangles. Handing it back to him, she nodded her agreement, laughing sheepishly. “Yeah, I guess you’re right. I kind of stick out, don’t I? Though, you might need something new as well,” she gestured to his own outfit. It certainly didn’t blend in all that much either. “And what do you mean by ‘I don’t need anything new for underneath?’” she probed teasingly, enjoying herself a little too much. She hadn’t flirted this much without her powers in a long time.
