Conundrum: The Question Without An Answer (Season One)

Venom watched as the Harbingers began to move into action. The sound and shaking of the canon firing shook Venom and his team as they made their way towards the edge of the building. He smiled and placed his finger to his ear, " Mon petite corsaire, What a powerful weapon you have there. However, power is not always who has the biggest gun." With that he jumped to the next building and began to run towards the Terastios.

He could feel his blood beginning to boil with the hunger for the fight. He wanted to sink his claws into the beast and rip the creatures flesh to ribbons. He looked back to Widow and Viper, both of them sporting a smile that was very typical of those chosen to join the Thieves Faction, the hunger for a fight and savageness of their will to win. Venom's smile grew as they got closer and he began to devise a plan. Finally he chuckled and called out to the other two "Widow head straight up the middle get that things attention. Viper, your with me, we are heading for that things head. Let see how that thing does with a brain full Thieve poison huh?" Widow agreed with the simple act of peeling of towards the things front. She used the buildings to get higher and higher until she was close to the creature abdomen. She brandished her Sai and pressed a button on the pommels, the blades began to drip with a neon green liquid until she lept across a building close enough to his body that she was able to rake the Sai across the things body and land on the building adjacent.

Venom and Viper however were hopping that the creature was to focused with attacking the cannon or Widow to notice the the two of them where climbing the other buildings of the city, until they were finally a few stories above the creature. Viper was the first to jump as he reached into his leather jacket and pulled out his chain. He whipped it into the air and brought the snake fangs down into the creatures arm. He began to swing across the surface of the creature and brandished a short dagger pressing the pommel as Widow had. Once again aiming to slash the beast across the side until he reached the end of his swing where he pressed a button on his chain and the fangs released, allowing him to land on the building at the end.

Venom was not far behind Viper. As he sailed through the air he reached into his jacket and produced two small vials. With a quick snap, he broke the glass vials in his hands and threw his hands out to the sides. As he did, his fingers extended into long claw like shapes that almost made him look like a bat without wing membranes. He laughed with joy as he brought has hands forward and prepared for the impact of his claws sinking into the back of head of the Terastios, delivering the nerotoxin into its body.

While hopping from building to building while using kinsi, Kimirou came to an abrupt stop. You would think something made him stop. Well, something did. He pulled a box from his pocket. It was a small rectangular box with a gold wrapper. He flipped open the top and pulled one of the sticks out. He placed the stick perfectly between his lips. He then pulled a cylinder tube from his other pocket as he walked over to the edge of the roof. From there he could see the park that was located in the center of the city. “Well isn’t this a beautiful site.” He spoke to himself as he opened the cylinder’s top revealing a small flame.

After touching the flame to the stick, he removed the stick from his mouth and out escaped a cloud of smoke. From behind himself he could hear the voice of a female. “Didn’t I warn you? That habit is a bad one.” A small irritated sigh left his lips. He turned around to great a young woman. Her stature resembled that of a 14 year old girl. “What do you think you are doing?” He asked in an even more irritated voice. The girl placed one of her hands on her hip and cocked her head to the other side. “You must have noticed all of the Hirudo running amuck around town. Did you really think I would sit around and let you have all of the fun?” She answered him with a small smirk. “Yes I did. Where have you been? And where in the hell are the others?” He asked closing his eyes and taking another puff. The girl reached into her pocket and pulled out a sucker and popped it into her mouth. Before she could begin to speak Kimirou interrupted. “I guess we all have our vices.” He ended with a small smirk on his mouth. The popping of a mouth could be heard as the sucker was abruptly pulled from behind the young woman’s lips. “One, yours is way worse than mine. And B, I don’t know where the others are. You know them probably drinking or something?” A vein in Kimirou’s forehead revealed itself after the young girl spoke. He took another puff from the cigarette and turned around to once again face the park, kneeling in the process. This time it was filling with people and a boy had just appeared out of nowhere. “I wonder what is going on down there.” He stated before taking another puff. The girl walked up next to him, grabbed the cigarette and threw it. “Why don’t you go find out?” She stated as the kicked his rear end. This caused Kimirou to begin freefalling from the building. This didn’t really seem to faze him however. He just pulled a die from his pocket and tossed it into the air. The die morphed itself into the iceboard, and caught Kimirou right before he hit the ground. He lifted himself from the board and stood up. The girl had made it down the building by that time on a board of her own. It was similar to Kimirou’s but looked as though it was made of crystal. ‘Copy-cat’ left his lips. The girl smirked and once again spoke. “Well I did learn from the best. Didn’t I?” A small chuckle ran from Kimirou’s lips. “I guess you did.” The boards then dissipated. They then began walking towards the groups. It seemed as though one of the scouts was eyeing the last ear piece the boy had in his hand. Kimirou walked over and grabbed the ear piece.

By that time the Pirates were already starting their brigade on the giant Terastios. Kimirou looked back to the young woman. “Torii stay out of this.” He then flicked a die towards the ground and it morphed into a board. He placed the earpiece into his ear as boarded the vehicle. Once in his ear the first thing he heard was that scout that was eyeing the last earpiece. “The Terastios seems to fire an ovida every five minutes. Though I could be wrong.” Kimirou placed his hand to his ear. “I doubt it aren’t you guys like the most observant here? Oh yeah guys let me show you what a real demon can do.” With those words the board began speeding toward the beast. It made it to the things legs and then began climbing it. The board seemed to had been picking up speed. Once it made it to the beasts chest area the board began to change starting in the middle. It became a long thin ice rope the size of a woman’s chain necklace. It grew in length as the board disappeared. By the time the board was completely gone Kimirou had been thrown over the beasts head and was now running down it’s neck. The ice lace still attached to his boots. Kimirou hit a front flip from the beasts back, and while doing so grabbed the threads, one in each hand. The lace wrapped itself around the beast’s neck and then the weight and inertia of Kimirou falling began to make the beast bend backwards a little. Kimirou’s feet touched the ground and he placed both threads in one hand. He placed his hand on the ear with the earpiece. “Now we don’t have to worry about those cause now it can only shoot them in the sky now. Right?”

BOOOOOM! A loud bang shook the ground causing Kehinde to just about fall out of the tree. Selina caught his hand just in time before he actually fell. "what the hell?" He spoke swinging his leg on the branch. "The pirates. They used a cannon remember." Selina replied, helping him up. "Awh yeah that's right." Kehinde observed finally getting back in the tree. After he came too, he could hear the harbingers getting their things together. They started really getting serious with the task at hand. From the looks of it the Terastios was struggling after that surprise explosion. He fired an Ovida in the direction of the cannon it seemed to be a quick one. "He pretty fast for his size." Kehinde looked over at Selina. "No doubt. He may have a few trick up his sleeves." She replied, trying to get a better look.

Kehinde was about to respond on the earpiece, but someone beat him to it. It sounded like one of the Thieves. When the thief finished up Kehinde chimed in, "Oh my....you thieves seem to steal the show also." Laughing he looked over to his crew and nodded, leaping down from the tree. The dashed from the tree across the field trying to get in close to the Terastios, "Look!" Selina pointed at the thieves and the same pirate. "Are they insane?" Emanuel looked up. "No clever, if they attack him at once he would have no way of responding. Therefore down goes frasier." Kehinde remarked causing a silence among the group. "Since when did you know everything?" Emanuel shot back at Kehinde. "Since I started to become mature and stopped acting like a child." He stopped. "Look, if your going to keep this up, then you can head back home. We don't need your crap nor do we need to hear it." He added. Emanuel angrily squinted at Kehinde as he finished up. He was visibly upset with Kehinde for some reason.

Selina, trying to distract the two pointed up again. This time pointing out one of the gamblers. "Ice huh?" Kehinde smiled, "Not too shabby." The group continued on toward the beast. Kehinde place his hand to his ear, "Alright you guys have had your fun. Allow the scouts to show you how its done." Kehinde, Emanuel, Selina, and Ferdinand broke off from each other going in different directions. Kehinde kept on the path straight for the Terastios. The plan was to use To Mavro fidi on it legs to cause him to loose balance. If the Terastios spotted them at all that would prove to be catastrophic. [/border]

Leandra frowned when the pirates let loose a cannonball at the Terastios, though their attack, while very effective in most cases, didn't seem to cause much harm, if any, to the Terastios itself. Watching as the others all began attacking in their unique, faction-like manners, Leandra held her shot, waiting for the right moment to fire off a round, as she never believed in wasting any ammo unless you knew, or were at least 99% certain, that you wouldn't miss your shot. Watching the thief graduate rush straight for the Terastios' head, Leandra scowled, as this attack would bring the Terastios' eyes away from her point of view. On top of this, the gambler, who had tried to push Leandra earlier after setting up ice beneath her feet, attempted to rein in the Terastios, as if it were just some overly large horse that needed to be broken. Rolling her eyes at such an action, Leandra muttered under her breath, "Good luck with all of that, idiots."

Waiting for the Terastios to level out its head after the gambler's attack on it with his makeshift reins, Leandra then took aim and held her breath before firing off a round, which sailed through the air after the initial gunshot and headed straight for the Terastios' left eye. Not too long after firing, Leandra readjusted her sights, her heart racing while the world around her and time itself seemed to slow in the moment, and she soon was firing off a second round, this time aimed for the Terastios' right eye. If the first shot didn't hit her mark, then the second one would for sure. The moment she'd fired off her second round, time sped up back to normal and Leandra was already on the move without waiting to see if one of her shots had hit their mark. With her sniper rifle compact and in its pistol form once more on top of being holstered again, Leandra sprinted to the edge of her building and then leaped to the one beside it before landing on her heels and rolling forward before coming up in a crouch behind an AC unit while waiting to see if the Terastios was going to attempt to attack her. After all, her cat-like reflexes would slow time for her if the Terastios tried to attack her while she hid and was unable to see its actions.

Overhearing a confident and hotshot scout talking over the mics, Leandra merely rolled her eyes in silence. Being overconfident only meant that you were bound to make more mistakes. In such a situation as this one, that could prove to be detrimental not only to yourself, but also to your allies. While Leandra didn't think of any of these other factions as her allies, they were her temporary partners, as she had no choice but to work with them. Allies or temporary partners though, an overconfident person could still prove to be highly detrimental. Leandra put the scout on her mental list of people to avoid if possible.

Terastios V

When the Terastios's body was slashed, he hollered a vulgar roared and his soul essence began to shift. This was not good because that only meant he was toying around before. He looked sown and saw a girl crawling up his leg. He raised that leg and drove it down into the water cause a nasty wave to kick up in the process. Hopefully knocking her off. When he saw the one who slashed him, He made and attempt to swing but rapidly fired 3 Ovida at the building. It seemed like it was one thing after another with these ants as they somehow were everywhere. That was when he felt a sharp pain in his arm causing him to swing it violently stirring up gust of wind. The Terastios was growing angrier and angrier. What the ants didn't know was that this Terastios was just trying to get back to where it happened. That tragic day that started it all. This Terastios was made up of a number of koumpi that lost their lives from a massacre that happen in Council City awhile back. To him, he was defending it's grave per say.

The Terastios stepped back and heard something shatter. It sounded like a breaking glass. Although this Terastios didn't have a mind, it was being fueled by the lost Koumpi from that fateful day. It wasn't going to rest until everyone was eliminated. He then felt something crawl down it's back. He saw a little person running down followed by a sharp pain that seemed to be forcing him down. The little person almost had him, but as soon as the little person touched down. The Terastios regained its strength and violently lunged forward. In any case that would have jerked anyone if they were holding something down. If that wasn't enough the terastios had felt something buzz past its ear. Good thing it missed. A few more meters over and it would have hit its left eye. When he went to look to see where it came from another one caught dead in his right eye. The Terastios roared in great pain almost loosing its footing. He sucked in air, his eyesight fading in his right eye. He took a knee and let out a sonic roar. Toward the direction of the bullet. This roar could pierce the eardrum of anyone who hears it and damage anything in its path. Waves of distortion followed the roar as he let it out. He was growing tired of the ants.

Leandra waited for time to slow, but it didn't seem to be happening so she curiously stood up from behind the AC unit just in time to see the Terastios lurch forward and roar in her direction. Being able to see the wavelengths of the roar visibly rushing towards her like wind, Leandra's eyes widened, as she realized just how deadly that roar possibly was. Turning to sprint to the next building down, Leandra was too late, as the roar rushed into her, knocking her off her feet and instantly deafening her, leaving her with a constant ringing in her ears and one helluva headache. As she came crashing down from the impact of the roar itself, Leandra slid to the edge of her building before coming to a halt and luckily, not falling off. Moaning from the intense pain coming from both her ears, both of which now had blood trickling from them, and from her intense headache, Leandra slowly pushed herself up into a sitting position before she did the first thing that came to mind after getting injured in such a manner. She had a drink.

After downing the rest of her second flask and putting it away, Leandra then took a deep breath before standing up, though she staggered a bit as if she were drunk, which she admittedly was a bit drunk, but the lack of balance mostly came from her damaged ears and intense headache. After all, if you deeply damaged an ear, then you could offset one's balance and thus, Leandra appeared far more drunk than she actually was in the moment. Stumbling back to the AC unit, Leandra then lost her balance before falling forward and catching herself on the AC unit itself. Scowling in frustration at the change of events, Leandra then glanced around herself to see how the others were faring and what they were going to do next. While scouring the battlefield, Leandra was more than pleased to see that at least one of her shots had landed successfully. With the Terastios partially blinded, the Hunters' and Harbingers' success rate just increased. Even if by just a small margin.

Vienna watched as chaos ensued, members of other factions springing into action. Most of the other top graduates jumped- quite literally- or flew in the case of the gambler that had suddenly reappeared- at the chance to show off thier abilities. This was foolish to Vienna's eyes. Violet eyes watched the scene unfold from underneath her hood, watching, waiting and listening for the right time to strike. A point at which the Terastios was weakened, distracted or disabled in some way that seemed to guarantee that her attempt to strike would succeed. Other factions tended to call shadows "freeloaders' or even "cheaters' because they employ these sorts of tactics. In her eyes, they failed to see the bigger picture. Vienna would call her people "opportunists.' They waited patiently and silently for a good time to strike, rather than rushing in right away; always, in every encounter. This was the way of the Shadows, and it seemed to work rather well, so Vienna adhered to it faithfully.

One such opportunity seemed to show itself in the form of a bullet fired from quite the distance, an Assassin's rifle from what Vienna knew about them. It went straight into the beast's eye, visibly angering it and causing it to roar in the direction the projectile came from. Covering her ears in reaction to this, she was barely able to keep her ears from bleeding by channeling an area of silence directly around her. Vienna was crouched in the shadows to the right of the beast, now very much in it's blind spot. She found herself smiling sadistically underneath her hood, not that anyone would notice with the chaos encircling her. This is it, thought Vienna, it's now or never. Adrenaline rushed through her blood, and she felt truly alive amidst this chaos. As strange as it may sound, she never felt more content when neck deep in danger like this, right at that moment where all seemed right to strike. Rushing towards a wall of the building nearest to the terastios, she gained momentum and pushed herself off of it towards the beast, bringing her scythe up over her head and swinging it in a complete circular motion as she sped towards the beast's right side, a pitch-black thin blade of shadow energy emitted from her scythe and struck the beast's side. Landing- hopefully- with her scythe deep in the beast's flesh, she would begin using it as a crude sort of icepick, climbing up the beast side with ferocity that was rarely seen from her, set with every fiber of her being on reaching the Terastios' head, hoping to deal at least one of the most devastating blows to the beast.

"That just made me glad I chose to get back so I can see the whole board. I may have just avoided ear damage." Sora said to himself aloud to make sure his hearing was alright. When he saw the others go forward and attack the terastios he chose to go backward and watch identify how he can succeed against the monster. He watched as one after another went at the hirudo though have little to no effect except to one who targeted it's eye. When the roar came it filled all of Sora's sense of hearing but unlike those closer it didn't damage his hearing which he concluded from how he sounded to himself.

Okay it's skin is resistant to blunt and explosive damage but penetrating damage gets through. I need to know if it can regeneratively heal before I even think about attacking. It seems to possess some reasoning skills and great strength. There has to be a weakpoint somewhere though its clear that weakpoint has not been struck yet. Maybe I could tunnel through it's eyes and reduce it's brain to mush. Someone else will probably try that soon enough or die trying.Either way this beast required more observation.

Danielle was climbing up the Teratsios's leg s hoping it wouldn't notice her but it did. It stomped it's leg into water and Danielle was abruptly thrown off by the wave. "Thrive in the darkness, grind the gears of hell. Stricken thy enemy under venom's spell. Konservi Mu, To mavro fidi!!" she said quickly as rope extended from her hand and dug into the Terastios. Swinging from the rope like a monkey she skimmed across the water and began to arch up. Reaching the top of the arch she let go of her rope and snapped her finger. The rope exploded and it propelled her to he Terastios's thigh. Pulling out her dagger she stabbed the Terastios as she fell using it as a hold. Damn thing doesn't like me huh? Danielle quickly set her footing and began her ascension yet again. She saw what must've been the Thief guild descend upon the Terastios as multiple gashes appear on the Terastios. Danielle faltered as the Terastios let out constant deafening roars at the other huntsman. Ugh this thing is huge and hard to climb but I gotta cover more ground she thought as she reached the Terastios's waist. In an instant she said the incantation for her konsido again and dug the rope into the Terastios's waist. She quickly ran and jumped off swinging to it's back and landing there. "How's everyone doing?" Danielle asked out of breath into the earpiece. Halfway there she thought as she picked her legs up again and began to climb even higher up on top of the Terastios. She noticed a girl hop from one of the building onto the Terastios too. While running she looked up and around taking in the sun's location and where the Terastio is looking. That girl jumped on it's right side so I must be on the left. She must be going for the head too, It's almost like a race except when I finish so will this thing. she playfully thought. Danielle continued to leave small dagger marks on the Terastios as she ascended. The marks were left by her dagger that she has been using to help her climb the mountain of a monster.

"Damn everyone is attacking at once and it like this guys isn't even affected." Kehinde curse as he ran. He watched as the Terastios seem to make fools out of everyone except it took a shot to the eye. It was incredible how he was able to move with all that sheer size. It was then Kehinde had fell into the path of the Giant Hirudo. The Terastios looked to have taken a knee after that nasty shot to the eye. This could prove to be an advantage to the Hunters because it was visibly weakened. His calculation were incorrect when he saw the Terastios take in a breath, "Oh crap." Kehinde stopped on a dime and dove into the tree to avoid an incoming Ovida. Again Kehinde was wrong, The beast let out an awful roar causing him to cover his ears. The roar itself knocked the earpiece of his into a white noise. "Damn it I'm disconnected." He though reaching up to get the earpiece. To his surprise, his ears were bleeding. They also began to ring for a few moments, losing his hearing bit by bit. He looked up at the monstrosity and then curled up in hopes of stopping the ringing. After a few moments, Kehinde slowly rose to his feet. He almost slipped, but caught himself.

Kehinde started to think about his faction mates. He wondered if the were alright or were affected. He then started to grow angry at himself for being so reckless and charging in like an eager five-year-old on Christmas day. He looked up and saw some more hunters head in and handle the Terastios. "They need to get out of there." He thought to himself. He went to put his hand to his ear once again but remembered his earpiece was fried. He then pulled the thing out of his ear to get a better look. From the outside, it looked fine, but Kehinde could tell that on the inside that it wasn't. With a close range high-frequency yell like that, It was sure to ruin any device it encountered. "This could prove deadly if this affected anyone else." He thought to himself. Kehinde gotten himself into this situation so he thought it would be best to get himself out of it. "In order to take this thing out we would have to work together. I just don't think were ready for that sort of thing. We can't seem to sit in the same room let alone team up." Once he had gained some of his strength back he continued on across the park.

From his position, he noticed a few more higher ranked personnel at the spot where the second knight was holding the barrier. He then noticed his instructor was present. Kehinde decided to run over, "Instructor Germano!" Kehinde called out. His instructor is a Slayer ranked assassin. Germano turned around to see Kehinde running toward him, "Good heavens what the devil happen to you." He implored looking him over. "It's a long story," Kehinde chuckled. "Listen could you possibly....i don't know...get me another earpiece?" He asked. Germano looked at him and nodded. After a few moments, he returned "This is all I could muster. Not the best but it should do the trick." Kehinde smiled and took the slightly used Earpiece. It wasn't looking the best, but it would do the trick. He looked back up, "What are you doing here?" Kehinde asked. Germano looked off in the direction of the Terastios, "That...." He pointed, "Were here for backup." He finished. These words sent a chill down Kehinde's spine as those words left his lips. "Backup?" He thought to himself. Germano rubbed Kehinde's head, "But don't worry we know the top graduates has things under control." He smiled, "Now get out there and help your comrades." He finished. Kehinde sarcastically chuckled, "Yes sir!" With that he stepped back, placed the earpiece back in his ear, and spoke, "So this might prove to be difficult. Anyone agree?"[/border]

Viper watched as the Terastios became more and more enraged by the acts of the groups attacking. When it became apparent that yhe creature was not pleased by the slashes that Widow and himself had provided, Viper sprang towards his twin sister across the building. He met his sister as the Terastios began to form its Ovida attacks and the two of them lept from the building as it exploded with the attack. The shock wave from the attack sent the two of them hurtling towards the building beside them, smashing them threw a couple windows into the dark building.

Venom watched as the Gambler jumped over with his twine and looked down at the beast. "Oh he is not going to like that.." Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking the creature lunged and Venom with it. Luckily his claws were still embedded into the creatures hide and he was able to hang on with all the strength he had. Once the creature stopped, Venom let the hide go and he headed up towards the things face. He felt the Terastios shift in anger just after the sound of a gun shot, someone must have hit something vital.

As Venom reached the top of his head he watched as the Terastios opened its maw and let loose a sonic attack towards the groups. Luckly on the top of the head Venom had been safe and his earpiece undamaged. He placed a finger to his ear and pressed the button
"Can anyone give this thing a breathe mint? I could smell that from up here." Chuckling to himself from the sound of empty static, he figured that the attack had just destroyed everyone's ear pieces.

He continued on his way towards the creatures face. As he reached the things forehead he lept downwards to the bridge of the creatures nose and looked over to see that someone had indeed hit the creatures eye. He made a hissing noise with his mouth followed by a clicking sound and winced
"Ah Mr. Monstre, that looks painful." He smiled and lept to the other side of the creatures face. He had to work fast as once the creature figured out he was there he new there would be a very large hand coming to get him. Standing before the creatures one good eye, Venom's claws shot upwards as he smiled. "Bonne nuit, Mr. Monstre!" He drove his claws into the creatures eye, still laced with the poison from earlier. The poison might not have done much damage to its hide, but something a little more exposed like the eye might react a tad differently. At least that's what he hoped.

Struggling to remain on her feet with the pounding headache and her lack of hearing, Leandra inhaled deeply before pushing herself up into a standing position and, while taking a swig from her third flask, Leandra slowly walked to the edge of her building and then did her best to keep a calm composure despite her pain. Looking around, Leandra watched as the other Hunters were doing their best to recover from the Terastios' recent attacks and were still fighting back despite the potential injuries, including the definite ones that Leandra had. Putting away her flask, Leandra then frowned, as her vision began going in and out of focus and she suddenly found herself lurching back and forth, as she was feeling herself losing consciousness.

Without warning, Leandra then suddenly pitched forward, her eyes fluttering shut while she lost consciousness, and she fell. As she fell down from the roof of her building, Leandra's hood was swept back and her long, red hair was revealed fluttering about behind her. Yet, instead of crashing onto the concrete that was surely below her, Leandra fell right into...a dumpster. Luckily, it was filled with plenty of trash to cushion Leandra's fall. Unluckily, it was filled with a lot of trash. Ew.

Yet, just before Leandra had fallen into the dumpster, one could swear that they saw a flash of blindingly white coming from behind her, almost as if...her hair had changed colors suddenly. Before any questions or such could be answered though, the lid to the dumpster slammed shut right after Leandra crashed into it. In the darkness of the dumpster, and horrifying smells that could make someone faint, Leandra's eyes fluttered open and she groaned, as her headache wasn't getting much better. She still couldn't hear either, as her ears were still filled with an obnoxiously loud ringing noise. Despite the ringing in her ears and deafness though, Leandra soon could hear a distant voice, as if someone were whispering to her. Had she fallen into the dumpster with someone? If so, then they were about to have a bloodied nose.

Deciding to take her chances, Leandra softly called out, "Who's in here with me?" Yet, the whispering continued, seemingly uninterrupted, and Leandra was left feeling rather confused about her current situation. Suddenly, the whispers intensified and got loud enough that Leandra was able to hear them, as if someone were inches away from her ears. "It's time to awaken. Wake up, wake up, wake up!" Eyes wide, Leandra scrambled backwards in the dumpster and yelped when the back of her head suddenly struck the metal side of the dumpster. Feeling her heart racing at the unknown, Leandra shot to her feet despite her continued pain and she quickly pushed open the dumpster lid before climbing out and falling down onto her side and hissing, as she now had more pain to deal with.

Clearly shaken, Leandra scrambled back to her feet and began sprinting down the alleyway that she'd originally fallen into, her white hair flying behind her and her face fully exposed, as she hadn't fully realized that her hood had fallen down yet. Just as she rounded a corner though, Leandra skidded to a halt at the sight of one of the Terastios' legs just ahead of her. Shaking her head to try and focus, Leandra suddenly felt the need to use her cards instead of her gun for once. Not one to ignore instinct, Leandra summoned all of the cards from one of her decks and then was amazed when the cards all suddenly began glowing. What was going on?

Uncertain of what this all meant, Leandra did the first thing that came to her mind. She sent all of her cards flying at much higher speeds than normal, meaning that her cards would inflict greater damage than normal, and they all went flying straight for the Terastios' nearby leg. Just as the cards began slicing into the leg, Leandra randomly remembered the pirates and their explosives from earlier. Just as she thought of the explosives, all of her cards that were slashing at the Terastios' leg exploded and Leandra stood still, as she gaped in amazement at what had just happened. Since when could she make her cards explode, manipulate them with such ease, or even make them fly as fast they flew now? In all of the confusion and such that had ensued since her fall into the dumpster, Leandra still hadn't realized that her hair had changed colors from the usual red it was.

Terastios V

The Harbingers took to the sky waiting on a good chance to activate the barrier. As they were getting things prepped, Ralph sat Indian style looking down at the Terastios as well as the graduates. The way he was sitting was his usual way of mentally evaluating something. He was spotting out weaknesses, blind spots, and all together evaluating the beast. "What's the matter, Ralph?" Margie asked, joining him on his study. Ralph still studying responded, "Something isn't adding up." He gestured, "This level Terastios showing up on a whim like this?" He turned his head toward Margie, "These graduates don't stand a chance against an Hirudo of this caliber." Margie nodded watching each and every graduate. She saw the Thief and his team try and poison the Terastios, the pirates use a cannon, the scouts using a diversionary tactic, a gambler utilizing ice, and an assassin firing shots. Margie nudged Ralph, "Saw that?! She got em in the eye. That ought to do the trick." She spoke with excitement. Ralph shook his head in disappointment, "That won't....." He was interrupted by the deafening roar the Beast let out. Even though they were ways off they could still feel some of the effects. "Saw that? He roared at her. Like I said they don't stand a chance at the level they are...." He continued with a puzzled look on his face.

Margie rubbed his head as if she were his mother. She could tell he wanted them to show out and handle this thing because when he was where the graduates were nobody believed he would even last, but look where he is now. Margie smiled for a moment, but her thoughts were interrupted by a messenger. "Mi lady." He greeted appearing behind her kneeling. "Hmm?" She smiled still within her thoughts. "Were done with the investigation and I think you need to hear about our findings." He responded. Margie fell from her thoughts and a more serious look slid across her face. "Go on...." She looked quizzically. The sun began to transition over to the west. A light eerie breeze danced across the sky. Temperatures starting to decline for the evening. "We don't have a hard copy to provide you with," He looked up, "But what we found is that a jar of Rudai had been shattered which would provoke an event like this." Margie rolled her eyes in disinterest, "Well of course. Ralph was clumsy and dropped the damned thing." She replied. The messenger cleared his throat, "That's not all," He commented taking a deep breath, "We found that the Rudai in the jar had been tampered with. In other words, someone mixed some sort of substance with the Rudai." Margie almost choked, "Say what? Tampered with?" she questioned with a shocked look. Ralph side eyes the two as they talked, He was in disbelief. "Yes, tampered with." The messenger added. "So you think we have been set up?" She looked in disbelief. "That very well may be the case mi' lady. Were still doing some investigating." He continued, "One thing to note is that whoever did this, knew the landscape and the history of this place," He pointed to the Terastios, "That thing is coming back home." Margie looked at him quizzically, "Home?" The messenger slowly stood to his feet, "Home. That's right. A lot of people lost their lives back in 1922 when a nasty snow storm caused a roof of a theater to collapse with people still inside. So just think all about those Koumpi that had a tragic ending." He observed. Margie looked back at the Terastios and pondered, "who could have set us up like this?" she asked herself.

Ralph sat there quiet trying to swallow the information he just heard. He couldn't seem to believe that some was setting them up. "But why?" He asked himself. He tried to hide the fact he heard them talk so he remained silent, "If those graduates don't handle this soon, their funerals won't be the only one's we'll be attending." The messenger chillingly commented. With that he bowed one last time then vanished. "One of the graduates just went into awakening!" Ralph stood up in shock. Margie with the information still heavy on her mind slowly walked over to see. Her eyes grew in shock when she saw it. A new graduate accessing awakening? Let alone know about it was unheard of. Ralph could feel her soul essence from their position. Margie looked at Ralph, "What do you think about that?" He nodded, "Impressive none the less but can she wield it properly?" Margie shrugged, "We will just have to see now won't we." Ralph then looked around, "Where's Gaia?" Margie sighed, "Who Knows probably trying to figure out what a Terastios is." She laughed.

*Press Play* More Hunters began to converge onto the Terastios. He seemed to be getting overwhelmed with the amount of attacks coming his way. Slash. The Terastios' skin sounded as a scythe dug into its skin. He let out a painful roar as it look to see the damage. As he looked he notice daggers trailing up his being. He grunted causing a vibration to ride through his skin, hoping to throw off the ants balance.

By the time he looked up, He was met with a stab in the eye causing a brutal stinging feeling to flow through his body. He drove his fist accurately in the direction of the shot. He was badly injured. He had lost both his eyes. He was gonna go in for another shot but was throw off by exploding cards sliding through its legs. Next thing he knew he was going down. He went down hard. He fell so hard the earth shook a little and a nasty wave drew up.

He layed there for a moment. Smoke began flowing from it's wounds. Following that, the wounds were no longer visible. He sat up slowly and looked at the ants, his eyes started to glow a pinkish electric color. His soul essence began to rise. He began to growl. He was growing angrier. A ring began to form around him, causing a small vortex which allowed him to steal nearby soul essence this wasn't good. Instead of firing an ovida from his eyes, He raised his finger and began preparing a strong rapid fire Ovida. On the inside he was reaching his last go around, but on the outside it appeared he would never stop. Regeneration for this level Terastios was taxing. What the hunters didn't know is that the Terastios had called out for more lower level Hirudo. They needed to end this fast.

Vienna had begun climbing the Tarasios' back steadily, when she noticed that it looked down to see her, roaring in pain, which caused her to momentarily lose balance. She was hanging by the very edge of her Scythe's handle, barely holding on. Suddenly, Vienna felt a sudden prominent increase in soul energy nearby. It didn't seem to come from any more Hirudo, thank god, as she didn't feel the tinge of darkness to it that a Hirudo's soul energy would have. So who-

Vienna couldn't finish this thought before she felt a sudden blast of energy go off beneath her, knocking the Terastios off balance. This would be a good thing, if the fact the terastios was standing upright until now was the only reason she'd beeen able to hang on. Vienna lost grip on her Scythe, plummeting off the beast's flesh as it also fell, somehow. She braced for impact, but it didn't make the fall hurt any less. She cried out in pain, an extreme sharp pain in her chest. Damn, I might've broken a rib... what the kind of attack was that? Who... did so much damage to that thing so suddenly?" Lying on the ground, feeling herself slipping even through the pain and the sudden rise in Koumpi, knowing the Terastios is still alive, she couldn't help but assume the worst. Is this where I... die?

Just when it seemed that would fittingly be her last thought, she thought something else. No, she... heard a voice, in her own head, that was not hers. "No," it said, a faint, raspy, masculine voice. it seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere all at once, as if it was an otherworldly presence but still connected to Vienna. "Instead of falling asleep, why don't you... awaken?" The voice spoke in a tone that was stern, but inspiring, as if giving in was the coward's way out, despite the pain, despite not having her weapon, despite how hard it was to move. This voice... it seemed to come with a sense of purpose, of strength. Vienna lifted her head, and saw through her pain-blurred vision that the nearest shadows were gathering around her, the air about her darkening. Anyone looking at her face right now, since her hood had slipped back during the fall, would see her eyes clouded over by a pitch-black haze, her pupils seemingly overtaken by darkness. She slowly stood, every part of her body ached but somehow, she was able to stand. She felt an eerie, sickening aura of soul energy gathering around the Terastios... it certainly wasn't dead yet, in fact it seemed to be intending to go out with a bang... a very, very devastating bang. Not on Vienna's watch.

She reached her hands out to the shadows, and they seemed to swirl around her hands, causing blades of powerful energy to form around them like claws as she balled her fists. Limping towards the Terastios' head, driven by pure hatred and desire to end this beast, more shadows gathered about her until she seemed shrouded utterly in darkness. Holding out her hands, seemingly being willed to do so by a force out of her control, both spikes of shadow that had formed around her hands shot towards the Terastios' eyes, with intent to pierce its brain twofold. Her vision fading, Vienna found herself slipping, and collapsed to the ground. Quickly another Shadow, one of the guys, shadow-stepped towards her and rushed to her, scooping her up into his arms and shadow-stepping back, a safe distance away from the Terastios. "You're damn reckless sometimes, Whisper," the boy chided, gently laying her down on the ground. He looked back towards the Terastios to see if Vienna had done enough to finally end the thing.

Lucas began to laugh as the creature began to roar in pain from the numerous attacks. The beast was getting hit harder and harder as they bombarded it with attacks. Luckly the beast had more pressing issues and seemed to want to hit those instead of the thing that just took out its other eye. Lucas dug his claws into beast hide and held on as the beast went toppling to the ground. FInally with a jarring motion the beast hit the ground, dust flying up in every direction.

Lucas pulled his claws up out of the creature and placed his finger to his ear. "Et voilà comment il est fait! No need to thank me, I was merely doing my job." Lucas bowed to the buildings in front of him, clearly smiling the biggest smile he could muster as he stood on the bridge of the beasts nose. He continued to smile until he felt the beastie move once again. He turned around to see the pink glowing eyes, and the massive amount of Soul Essence the thing was putting off. As the thing began to stand back up slowly Lucas grit his teeth and dug a claw back into the thing. "Merde!" He mumbled under his breathe as he watched the wounds disappear. He had used everything that he could think of that they would use normally on a Hirudo, and the damn thing kept getting back up.

Lucas watched as the creature began to charge up for another Ovida attack, and Lucas sighed. He had hoped it wouldn't come to this as he had yet to actually use the damn thing yet, but it seemed like the decision was being made for him. Lucas turned to where he had he claws dug into the things hide and sunk his other hand into it as well to steady himself. He began to focus on his Koumpi within him and began to push at it. He thought back to all the times he had used to attempt his own ventures when he should have been learning about Konsido's, but instead had focused on accessing his Koumpi more. He could feel the Koumpi within begging to slowly leak into his body, still he kept pushing at it. He began to sweat and grit his teeth even harder, his face and extremities began to burn like fire as his blood and adrenaline picked up speed. Finally he felt what he had tried so many times before start and the barrier begin to break within him , the power of his Koumpi began to flow into his body. The change started in his chest, then spread to his neck and arms. The electric green color of his major arteries began to spread slowly as he continued to push at the power inside of him. Once it his hands, his claws began to grow and become more jagged, almost like the tips where serrated saw bladed.

Finally after what seemed like a life time, Lucas looked up from where he was embedded in the Terastios, the veins around his eyes electric green with the acid flowing through his veins. Lucas smiled, he could already feel the power slipping away from him, so he knew he only had one shot at this. He ripped out his claws, taking little bits of the beasts hide with them, and turned to the end of the things face. He began to sprint towards the empty air before him, and once he reached the end of its face Lucas jumped as hard as he could into the air before the creature. His feet followed through until he was upside down and he was a good distance away from the creature. His claws began to secrete the neon green liquid as he drew them close to his body. Then with a whip of his arms, he flung both hands out to the side the green liquid forming a cross before him that was roughly ten feet long on both sides. Lucas screamed as the attack went flying towards the Terastios "Diable Croix!". Lucas watched as he continued to fall as the X he made with his claws flew at the creatures face, growing larger the closer it got. Finally, after weeks of trying and trainning, he had achieved his awakening.

As Lucas fell to the ground below, he felt his Koumpi reseed back into his body, his claws and veins returning to normal. Worst of all, he could feel his energy draining even faster and he could not figure out how he was going to survive the fall from so high up. That was until he felt a sharp pain hit him in the leg and he began to swing in an arch towards a buildings windows. HE managed to look down just before he smashed through the window and into the offices behind them, to see the silver head of a snake chain that had been thrown from a badly bleeding Viper a few stories higher. Lucas went flying through the window and skidding across the floor of the office space on his back, where he finally came to a halt starring at a florescent light bulb fixture above him. His breathing was a bit ragged, and his muscles hurt, but he would be damned if someone said he didn't give it everything he had to stop that damn thing. He smiled and simply whispered "Merde..." as he lay there in the floor.

Leandra fell to her knees just as the Terastios did the same. Her breathing came out heavily, as she felt herself empowered and yet she was still weak from the injury sustained to her head. After all, her ears were still faintly ringing and that headache continued to throb deeply inside of her head. Sighing, Leandra wondered if she could perhaps just crawl over to the wall nearby and take a power nap for a minute or two...Yet, her thoughts were interrupted by that voice form earlier, which sounded like a young male with a sarcastic tone that Leandra recognized considering how sarcastic she could be at times. "Hey, get your lazy butt up and continue fighting! Does it look like anyone else is resting on your team? Since when did you get special privileges?"

Scowling at this voice, Leandra then muttered under her breath, "Oh shut up already." It was only then that Leandra had a startling realization that this was probably her Koumpi or something. Hadn't something called the Awakening been mentioned during training before? Furrowing her brows at this, Leandra grunted, as she slowly pushed herself up into a standing position, though she stumbled slightly in the process. Suddenly, the voice came out of no where again and Leandra could've sworn she heard the smirk from her Koumpi, as he said, "You're not the brightest one of the bunch, are you? It seriously didn't immediately connect in your head about who I was?"

Shaking her head at her sarcastic and smartass of a Koumpi, Leandra then wondered if it was possible to mute one's Koumpi. Deciding she had more pressing matters when she noted the Terastios preparing a huge attack, Leandra summoned another deck of cards and then wondered if there was a way to disrupt the Terastios' tremendous attack while it was charging it. Seeing one of the Hunters nearby discovering his Awakening and then launching a large attack at the Terastios, Leandra realized that she wasn't the only one to have such an idea. Inhaling slowly, Leandra then played copy cat, as she formed an X with her cards, though their ends were facing the beast so he'd have a really nasty X-shaped cut should this attack be successful. Wasting no more time after forming the X, Leandra then lurched forward with a thrusting motion with both of her arms, as her X-shaped card formation launched towards the Terastios' face at a high speed, catching up to the other Hunter's liquified and oddly colored X.

Hearing the sound of shattering glass not far from her, Leandra's head swiftly swiveled towards the direction of the noise, as she wondered if it had come from any approaching Hirudos or one of her teammates. Deciding it wasn't of concern to her, Leandra turned back to face the Terastios when her Koumpi suddenly voiced his opinion, which was already getting annoying at this rate, "You're seriously going to leave a potentially injured teammate to suffer on their own? What in the world is your problem?! Get your lazy butt up there and check on them!" Grumbling to herself, Leandra left the Terastios behind, as she sprinted at the building, which the hunter, Lucas, had just crashed into, and then jumped up before she began swiftly climbing along windowsills and anything she could grab until she was at the window in which Lucas had just burst through. Pulling herself into the building, Leandra then stood up straight and glanced around for a moment before realizing that a trail was laid out before her from the window, as if Lucas had slid inside instead of just hitting the ground and stopping.

Walking up to Lucas, Leandra looked him over for a moment in silence and with a neutral expression before she asked him in an even tone, "Are you just going to lay there all day or are you going to rejoin this fight? I doubt it's over yet." Realizing how hypocritical this situation was when she'd tried to rest not moments ago, Leandra almost face palmed, but decided against it. It was only then that Leandra suddenly noticed her white hair thanks to the fluorescent lightbulb flickering above her and causing her hair to shine a bit more so than when she'd been outside moments ago. Surprised by this change in appearance, Leandra suddenly felt an urge to hide it so she swiftly brought her hood up over her head and part of her face as well.

When the Terastios lunged its head forward it caused the end Kimirou was holding to lift him into the air. It cracked like a whip causing him to loose his grip. As he flew threw the air multiple dice flew from his pocket. Hitting the ground the dice formed into a pile of snow seemingly on their own considering Kimirou was only semi conscious. Kimirou hit the ground completely losing consciousness and skidding into the pile of snow. Torii gasped at the site but didn't move. She actually sarcastically remarked. "He did tell me to not get involved."

Then she noticed something strange. Kimirou's soul essence was diminishing. It was close to non existence. "That's strange I feel his soul essence disappearing. That can't be right. But if anyone has can feel his soul essence as strong as me it would be amazing."

As the events on the outside world, inside his mind Kimirou felt like he was floating in the endless darkness of space. He tried to call out but no sound left his lips. He tried to move his body but there was no success. Suddenly he heard a faint noise. It ressembeled a woman's voice. It was that of a whisper. Once again he tried calling out yet nothing came out once again. A nurturing feminine voice spoke. "Don't worry. Once you open your eyes, you will finally be awake." He tried to question who it was. However, once again it was as if he was mute. "Are you ready? One.... Two..... Three.... OPEN!!!!" At that moment on the outside world Kimirou rose from the snow. His hair now long and the bottom being icy and see through. A few shards of ice floating here and there. The irises of his eyes made totally of ice. His finger tips were also seemingly made of ice. He stood himself up and looked over to Torii. She was now staring at Kimirou shivering. He walked over to her and ean his finger down her cheek. "Oh sweet Torri. Everything will be okay. Your brother will take care of everything." Still shivering she responded. "Your soul essence is the temperature of the polar caps. And the sheer power of it make my knees want to buckle. What happened to you?" He quickly responded while averting his vision towards the Terastios. "Don't worry about that just get somewhere warm." With that he used kinsi to move behind the Terastios. The speed was unbelievable almost teleportation. As the beast was distracted by the poision cross coming his way, Kimirou rose his left hand towards the beasts legs. Ice began forming around the freezing the beast in place. Hi the rose his right hand higher than that of the left. The ice on the right side began to grow higher on the beasts body. Raising his left hand to the level of the right hand made the ice level out. Now everything from the beasts waist down was frozen. Kimirou spread his arms in an upward diagnal away from eachother. This made the ice entrap the beasts arms. "That should keep it."

Kehinde watched as the Terastios struggled with the other hunters. He was pleased to see all the different abilities they could do. He notice a shadow slice at the Hirudo and the Pirate climbing the thing. Suddenly, He felt a surge in soul essence. It wasn't bad he knew that much. It seemed to one that was familiar to him. "Hmm.." Kehinde kept his eyes on the scene to see what would come of it. Not long did the culprit show up. It was one of the assassins. Her power seemed to have change from what it was before. At least that's what he thought. He never really knew what exactly she could do. Whatever it was worked and Kehinde leaned on the tree in shock. "Maybe I should go and help out..." He contemplated.

Once again he felt more fluctuations. He saw the the Terastios get back up after seemingly taking best hits. The thing seemed a bit more stronger than before, "This may not end well," He thought looking at the Terastios prepare an Ovida. As he was getting ready to pull out his weapon to join, his ears started to badly ring. It ring so bad it brought to his knees. "Damn it I thought it had stopped," He held his hands over his ears. This was just the after affects of the road. Although Kehinde jumped out of the way, He still received a considerable amount of damage. All of a sudden the ringing stopped. His hearing no longer with him. He shot his eyes open and looked around in confusion noticing he couldn't hear anything. His head started to pound harder and harder. He couldn't even hear himself think. He looked over to the Terastios and saw that he was being handled.

"Well....Well must suck to be you at this point." A young masculine voice sounded although Kehinde couldn't hear. Kehinde shot up and tried to respond but nothing was coming out. "Having a problem?" The voice coldly asked lacing his voice with chuckle. Kehinde was growing angry at the fact he couldn't say anything. "I'm sorry I can't hear you." the voice continued, "That's good because you just need to listen. You cocky little brat." Kehinde began to grit his teeth, "That beast, needs to be taught a lesson. Close your eyes and visualize yourself landing on him. Don't open them till I tell you." The voice relayed. Kehinde seemed not to have a choice so he did as he was told. Whilst his eyes were close he could feel a strange sensation travel throughout his body. He has never felt anything like this before so this was all new to him. He saw a small violet light that was far away as if it were at the end of a tunnel. The voice then spoke once again, "Don't just look at it. I know your curious so run for it!" Kehinde did as such. He could now see himself. Which was strange to him because his eyes are closed. He ran and ran it seemed as if he would never get to the light. It was like the more he ran the farther away it went. All of a sudden the voice told him, "Stop.....it's not time." Kehinde stopped and looked around the strange room or hallway. Whatever it was to get a better view of it. It was a dark path like hall that led to a light.

The voice then changed to a more serious sound, "Handle your business....now open your eyes." Kehinde slowly opened his eyes revealing a glowing violet ring around his Iris. He was slowly landing on the shoulder of a frozen still Terastios. One hand was behind his back and the other was using to lean on the Terastios. Kehinde was still inaudible and deaf. He couldn't hear anything. He looked down at everyone and to his complete shock he saw himself standing on the ground. "Your mind is trying to absorb everything that just happened. It's not going to be able to even compute this," The voice sounded, "Go ahead and damage this thing." With that Kehinde slid his hand over toward the ear of the Terastios. Once he did, He slowly shifted his gaze to the palm of of his hand. In unison the voice Kehinde was hearing and himself uttered, "Whisper." The way he said it almost would seem as if you heard it on your own ears. By saying that, He would be sending detrimental illusions to the Hirudo basically trying to drive the Hirudo into a submissive state. On the outside it would appear as if nothing happened but on the inside it was reliving over and over the day all the Koumpi were lost. "Get ready. You're about to feel like you have been hit by a speeding train." Before Kehinde could even react his heart slipped a beat causing him to blackout and fall toward the ground.[/border]

Terastios V

The Terastios' comeback was short lived. No matter how many times he tried to overcome the ants it just wasn't enough. The Terastios fate was sealed after the first attack. He tried to dodge it but it was almost like the attack was about five steps ahead of him. Next thing he knew he felt a sharp pain start at the back of his neck. He let out a painful growl as the pain inhibited him from roaring.

Still blind, he swung hopelessly in hopes of paying back who harmed him fatally. Unfortunately, all he swung at was air putting him in perfect position for a follow up attack that came in the form of two x's. The first one singed through his body forming smoke as it went through. His body started to feel numb and useless. The second x was approaching fast. He tried to move but his body was a complete dead weight. BOOM! The cards went after connecting with his soul essence. The force of the blast pushed the Terastios back a distance. Unfortunately for the hunters, the explosion cause him to release his Ovida. The Ovida hurled itself through the air spliting in to five small but deadly balls. The only thing is the Terastios didn't get the chance to see his work finish.

He started to feel the temperature around him freeze. A small spike in soul essence alerting him of some sort of attack. With all the remaining strength he could muster, He tried to move but was restrained by an icy substance traveling up his body. The Terastios tried to heat up its body to melt the ice but realized he had nothing left. Next thing he knew his arms were frozen solid. At that moment, he knew it the curtain was coming down. He could no longer roar his vision was null an void, He has poison running through his body, and to make it worse he took an explosion at point blank range. All he wanted to do was get rid of the ants surrounding it's last place of living.

*Press Play* The Terastios then felt another spike in soul essence which left him with a feeling of something on his shoulder. He couldn't see it nor could he make out what it could possibly be. As he stood there, He began seeing flashes of images. Gruesome images. Blood, sounds of pain, screaming, dead bodies. What in the world was this all of a sudden. Rumbles of thunder could be heard as they sat in the theater. It was a cold night that night as the first wave of the blizzard set in. The movie was about to get underway but then the power shut off, probably from the cold weather. The attendant rushed in, "Everyone remain calm we just had a small outage. We will be back up and running in a moment." He calmly announced. The crowd moaned and groaned. As they waited, the wind outside could be heard picking up. The temperature in the room beginning to decline. "They better hurry up with their efforts. I didn't pay to sit in the dark." A person spoke from the balcony. The crowd started to grow restless as the minutes turned into hours. The room becoming colder and colder. All of a sudden a crackling noise could be heard starting from small to large sounding. Then crash went the roof of the theater. People could be heard screaming, rubble moving about here and there. Sirens could be heard in the distance but they're weren't moving fast enough. People were already dead. The Terastios began to replay the same tragic event over and over and over overwhelming him. No matter what he tried that's all he could see. He felt the pain again, the cuts and the bruises again, and the gruesome scene again. From the inside out the Terastios was being destroyed. Now it was all left up to the Ovida he fired. @Newtype @FrontLine @Lioness075 @DergTheDergon @Pumpkakun @zCrookedz

Venom lay there in the office listening to the noises and roars of the Terastios outside. The building shook and rumbled, making noises that would scare the crap out of normal civilians. Venom however just lay there, starring up into the florescent lights that blinked off and on with the shaking of the building. He chuckled to himself, after all the hard work and trying to activate his awakening he was certain he was going to die where he lay.

It wasn't until he heard the sounds of foot steps walking across the floor that he moved his gaze from the ceiling. He moved his head towards the found of the footsteps, his muscles sore from the strain of using his awakening. He expected to have seen Viper or Widow walking towards him. What he saw took him by surprise, a young lady who seemed to be wearing some sort of hooded outfit. She had an exceptionally large amount of power coming from her, and she stood near him speaking. Venom's eyes began to focus from the lights and he noticed the white hair which she quickly tried to cover up. He smiled and closed his own eyes "Bonjour Madmazel. Wouldn't you rather watch the world be destroyed from the window there?" Venom chuckled to himself, coughing a bit from the heaving of his chest.

Suddenly there was a smashing sound and a bloody pair of figures were within view of the busted window. Widow made herself know instantly as he readied her Sai and looked the Assassin dead in the eye.
"Back away Assassin. We have no quarell with you or your faction." She began to move slowly towards Venom, who had began to struggle to lift himself from the floor so he could sit up and watch the small group interact.

Widow looked from the Assassin to Venom as she tried to assess throw bad the situation was. It was then that Viper began to pipe up
"Uhm, guys! We have Ovida's incoming!!" Venom's eyes were wide in both pain and excitement as Widow reached under his arm and lifted him up. Viper was there in a heart beat under the other arm as they began to move towards the hole. Venom could see the burst of power flying straight for the building and he began laughing. He looked back at the Assassin and smiled "Now might be a good time for us all to leave Assassin." Widow and Lucas used what strength they had left to jump from the window seal and use Kinisi to move move to a building across and escape the incoming attack.

@OwlOne @Lioness075

Rolling her eyes at the Hunter, who's faction she still couldn't recognize due to the poor lighting of the building, Leandra then wondered why he was even speaking in French to begin with. While Leandra could at least recognize the language, she didn't know it well enough to respond in it or anything. Surprisingly enough, Chinese was her second language, which she could speak for the most part. She definitely wouldn't call herself fluent in it though she would never admit to such a thing. Responding to the Hunter's question, Leandra said in a low voice, which was her usual voice and tone, "I'm not currently in danger, so I could care less for any views." Selfish? Definitely. Leandra was a lone wolf anyhow, so it was kind of expected for her to be more worried about herself than anyone else. Even after hearing the Hunter's obvious struggle to breath properly, Leandra didn't feel any concern for him. If he was speaking then he was okay. That's how Leandra saw it anyhow.

Hearing the sound of something being smashed, Leandra whipped around in a heartbeat, her hand on the grip of her pistol just in case. Yet, instead of any Hirudo or the Terastios attempting to get at them, Leandra only saw more of the Hunter's faction. Once they came into view, Leandra raised an eyebrow, as she recognized them, despite their bloodied uniforms and bodies, as Thieves. Amused by the meager threats by the Hunter's friends, Leandra then raised her hands slowly in a defensive manner, while smirking, before saying softly, "If I had wanted to bring harm to your friend, then I would've already done so." Any trained professional wanting to cause harm to another would've done such a thing. Clearly, Leandra hadn't meant any ill intent.

Hearing one of the Thieves shouting that they had incoming Ovida, Leandra was instantly on the move, not bothering to wait and see if any of the three Thieves had managed to escape or if the injured Hunter was okay. When it came down to it, Leandra only truly cared for herself. Yet, the Thieves were quicker than Leandra had anticipated, injured or not, and the Hunter was with the other two at the window and smiling at Leandra before saying some final remarks to her. It'd be nicer if he just moved so Leandra could get out of there already. Save formalities for another time.

Just as the Thieves made their escape, Leandra paused at the window, as she felt a sharp pain in her head for a moment before her Koumpi made a reappearance, audibly at least, as he said, "Well, nice job, Assassin. You seriously need to work on your social skills because they don't even exist right now." Irritated by the poor timing of such a discussion, Leandra summoned a deck of cards and then made a skateboard out of them, though it hovered and would move about as Leandra would imagine it doing so. Jumping onto the board, Leandra hovered just outside of the building for a moment before the cards all suddenly fell apart and Leandra's eyes widened in surprise, as her hair faded back to its normally dark red color and she found herself plummeting towards the street below her. As she fell, Leandra realized that she could no longer feel her Koumpi's presence within her nor her Awakening capabilities.

Yet, Leandra didn't have long to think about this before the Ovida struck the building above her just as Leandra feet both struck the pavement beneath her and she let out a shriek of pain, as she instantly heard a cracking sound and collapsed to the ground while clutching at her right leg. She had without a doubt broken her right ankle and maybe something else. Clenching her eyes shut in pain, Leandra struggled to bring her breathing under control, as she heard the building beginning to collapse from the Ovida strike. Her heart began racing, as Leandra opened her eyes and looked up just in time to see a large collection of rubble crashing down on top of her. As the dust settled from the collapse of the building, all that could be seen was Leandra's forearm and hand sticking out from a corner of the rubble. The only sign that Leandra was even present.

Everyone has put their lives on the line here awakening to overwhelm the Terastios. Now it's time for me to do my part and end this with a bang! Then one of the ovida it fired came towards him, Sora's eyes lit up as he saw the end was near. He blinked for a moment then began to here a roaring in his head and the world seemed red like he was looking at it through red tinted glasses, his pupils changed shape as his irises turned red. He then on instinct pushed his arms at the ovida on instinct but these weren't his instincts it came from something else. Sora felt himself open his mouth and suddenly the roar wasn't in his head but coming from his mouth.

The ovida stopped before making contact with Sora. It began to change color to bright red and then to swell in size. Sora then focused not understanding how he is doing this but what he is going to do with this. He jumped from the roof of his building and found himself high speed descending towards the Terastios with the ovida on both of his hands. Not it was charged with his own power as well. He prepared to hit the terastios with the ovida, it looked like the terastios was in intense pain. Then Sora remebered something from training. Terastios are can be formed from large concentrations of lost koumpi from disasters and massacres. Sora then saw it less like killing a wild beast and more like putting many souls to rest. Then he pushed the ovida into the terastios and everything turned white and went blank for Sora.

After freezing the Terastios, Komirou watched as it was blasted by the x the theif made and the x made of cards. He then notice the scout from before drop onto the shoulder of the beast. After a few moments the scout fell. Kimirou raced over and caught the scout just before he hit the ground. Kimirou then gently laid the scout on the ground. Hearing the sound of a building crashing to the ground, Kimirou's vision shot inbetween the monstrosity's legs. After the smoke cleared all he could see was rubble with an arm sticking out. Kimirou looked back to Torii but she was no longer there. He looked back at the rubble to see Torii speedily removing the peices to rescuse the person. She somehow anticipated what Kimirou was about to tell her.

Another blast like sound resonated. Unfortunately as Kimirou tried to change to look to were it came from, he was met with darkness and his body collapsed with a thump. Feeling Kimirou's soul essence drop to zero, Torri's vision shot over in his direction. She gasped at the sight but knowing she could only do one thing at a time, she returned to removing the rubble. She knew that is what Kimirou would have wanted her to do. When she finnally removed the rubble completely from the burried person, she raced over to where Kimirou now laid. She knelt down beside him, tears running from her eyes. She grabbed his hand noticing it was ice cold. The tears suddenly turned to streams. She couldn't stop them. "Brother." Left her lips and her head dropped in sadness. Was the battle over? Will Torri ever see her brother again? Only time will tell.

End of a good fight

*Press Play* After the last blow, the Terastios was done for. The images he was seeing began to fade away into a white open space. Crackling noise could be heard as he tilted back shattering the ice. The Terastios put up a good fight. He held his ground as he should working hard to protect himself from danger. In the end, the Terastios was no match for the up and coming graduates. Believe it or not teamwork is what brought the Terastios to its knees. He fell over to his side reaching out in the direction of the old Knickerbocker Theater. As soon a he did, he started to dissipate inch by inch. When he finally disappeared, the soul essence in the air began to fade except those who were hunters.

The Harbingers watched as the events unfolded. Margie, Ralph, Gaia, and Sebastion were left speechless as the battle was coming to a close. "So, I guess that was that," Sebastion spoke into the earpiece. "I guess so.They did it!" Margie responded jumping up and down. "Not much left of the Graduates though." Gaia chuckled. "Who cares...they just made history today. The first class ever to defeat a level 5 Terastios." Ralph excitedly spoke. With that, the Harbinger appeared in the courtyard by Sebastion. Everyone was there. Graduates, some of the higher-ups, few instructors, and the little leaguers. All there to partake in the spectacle unfolding.

Margie snapped her fingers and as if on command seven messenger unit members showed up, one of them spoke, "Yes Milady," He wholeheartedly asked. Margie turned to them with a huge smile on her face. She was generally excited about being a part of such an event. "The graduates are going to need a little help. Get them to the infirmary asap. See to it they have everything they need." She then began to assign them a graduate, "Iskra, you go to the assassin named Leandra. Nicky, you go to the shadow named Vienna. Alf, you go to the gambler name Kimirou. Anuli, you go to the scout name Kehinde. Josef, you go to the ninja named Sora. Recluse, you go to the thief named Lucas. Muna, you go to the Pirate. Make sure you let them know we need to see them. Do this and then await further orders. Protect them with your lives." She announced. Soon after she handed out the assignment, they vanished into thin air. The other Harbingers and herself looked around at all the damage that was caused by this thing. "I might as well get together a report. It's not gonna do it itself." Margie commented. "I'll see about getting this messed cleaned up," Sebastion added. "Gaia and I will stick around her to answer any questions. We'll meet back up in central. I'm sure there's much to discuss." Ralph hinted adjusting his garments then shooting a look to Margie. They all agreed and commenced to handling their duties as a knight.

Kehinde's consciousness came back to him as he felt himself moving. He tried to ignore it because he thought he was dreaming. He slowly opened his eyes to see what was happening. When he fully came to, He noticed he wasn't where he was before. He looked up to see a guy carrying him on his back. Kehinde gave him a strange look. He jerked himself back off the man, "What the hell? Who are you?!" Kehinde hit the man. The man then began to make his decent down to a nearby roof. "Oh! you have finally woke up." The man landed, swinging his body around to let off Kehinde. Kehinde stepped off and dusted himself off, "How long was I out?" He asked looking around at his surroundings. The man reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He then brought his hand up to his unit badge, opened it, and pulled out a lighter. He place the cigarette in his mouth, clicked the lighter a few times, and lit the cigarette He placed the lighter back and puffed the cigarette, "You were out for awhile." He chuckled, "Must have been a great fight." Kehinde observed the man in front of him. He was about a hair taller than Kehinde, had a tan like complexion with spikey black hair and smokey gray colored eyes. "Yeah, it was something else. Say, who are you?" He squinted in suspicion. The man took another puff of his cigarette, "Anuli from the messenger unit." He placed the cigarette in his mouth holding it, He threw out a free hand, "Nice ta meetcha" He offered. Kehinde stood there a moment trying to figure out how to go about this. For all he knew this could be a trick of some sort. Kehinde decided to play it safe and not return the gesture, "Nah, I'm good." The man shrugged and withdrew his hand, "Guess I should have seen that coming," He nodded.

Kehinde place his hand in his pocket, "So why are you here? Where are my faction mates?" He asked. The man dropped the cigarette on the ground and stepped on it, twisting his foot. He twisted his arm over to look at the time it was about 4:45pm, "I was given an order to make sure you got to the infirmary. I didn't stay to look for your otha faction mates kid. I'm not a kindergarten teacher." He retorted. Kehinde threw his hands up in a defensive manner, "Ok....ok...I was just asking. No need to get your undies in a wad." The man rolled his eyes at Kehinde, "I'm not. You asked I provided you with an answer." Kehinde nodded, "Ok ill take that."

Not soon after the exchange between the two did Kehinde's body began to feel weak. His vision once again fading. He stumbled a little only to have the man catch him, "Upsadaisy." He commented throwing Kehinde's arm around him, "C'mon. We need to get you checked out." He added. Kehinde nodded, "Do I have to ride you back again?" He questioned with fierce hesitation. The man sighed with irritation, "That's about the only way your gonna get there. Trust me I hate it as much as you do. Now come on." He pulled. Kehinde griped and groaned as he mounted the man's back. He was absolutely pissed about it, but if it meant getting there in his condition then he would have to just suck it up. Lacing his voice with animosity, he spoke, "Alright I'm ready..." Once the man confirmed it, he took off.

After awhile they arrive at the infirmary owned by the council. It was on Irving St. The sun begun to make it's decent in the sky as the hours started to crawl into the evening hours. He stopped in the front only to be met by one of the medics, "Anuli!" The medic greeted. Anuli waved back at the medic gesturing for him to come over. "What do you got?" The medic asked. Anuli twisted his body a little to show him. "Alright follow me." The medic gestured walking through the automatic doors. "He have a name?" He questioned. "Yep, Kehinde Akachi. He and some othas went up against a Terastios. Got banged up pretty bad." He explained. The medic stopped at the front desk, grabbed a chart, and continued on. "Ahh that was crazy. Well right this way, we have set up some rooms for them." Anuli nodded and jerked his body up to keep from dropping Kehinde.

After a few steps, they arrive at the room. The medic opened the door and called for the nurse to assist. They walked in and Anuli turned his back toward the bed to dropped Kehinde down on the bed. "We'll take it from here," the nurse reassured. Anuli stepped over to the corner and grabbed a chair to sit down. "Oh! sir you can wait outside." The nurse gestured. "No he's my responsibility. I'll wait here." He responded with conviction. The nurse was out to speak but was interrupted, "Nurse. It's fine. Clearance from the council." Anuli winked at the nurse and leaned back in the chair keeping his eyes on Kehinde.
