Conundrum: The Question Without An Answer (Season One)

Leandra's mind was a mixture of chaos and serenity. She could hear distant screams and even what sounded like crumbling stone, but her body felt numb to her. It was an odd feeling, really. Yet, before she could even realize that someone was digging her out of the rubble, Leandra passed out from the extent of her injuries, which was hard to assess thanks to the large amount of blood surrounding her body and her dust-covered and blood-covered body itself. The only sign that she'd even broken anything was her right ankle, which was definitely facing the wrong direction. It also happened to have a bone sticking out of the ankle, jutting an inch or two.

In the silence that followed, dust was still collecting in the air around Leandra. Suddenly, a figure loomed just beyond the cover of the dust, though Leandra wasn't conscious to see the figure anyhow. Soon, the figure was at Leandra's side and kneeling beside her while gently placing two fingers to Leandra's neck, checking for a pulse. Upon finding one, the figure immediately called for a medevac, as they feared moving Leandra in case they dealt more damage instead of aiding her. Not too long after, the distant sound of a helicopter's blades beating could be heard rapidly approaching the area.

As the dust began to settle a bit, the figure's face was revealed for a moment, as her young and yet, dark expression was shown before her mossy green eyes were enveloped in a dust cloud once more, as the helicopter was now hovering above the pair. Soon, a stretcher attached to a thick rope was quickly lowered to the figure, who grasped it and set it up beside Leandra's body. Not a moment later, a medic was at Leandra's other side and both the medic and the messenger worked silently together, as they loaded Leandra's broken and bloodied form onto the stretcher and strapped her down with a neck brace on her for good measure. Giving a hand signal to those in the helicopter above them, the medic then began ascending beside the stretcher, as both were soon loaded up in the helicopter and it veered away before heading straight for the infirmary.

Scowling at the retreating helicopter, the messenger then muttered, "Yeah, I definitely didn't want a helicopter ride to the infirmary or anything. I just love walking everywhere." Sighing, the messenger, whose name had yet to be revealed, but was Iskra, then began jogging in the direction of the infirmary. At this rate though, she'd be lucky to arrive before Leandra's surgeries were over with. Cursing her luck, Iskra doubled her pace and was soon racing among the shadows to the infirmary, a look of determination upon her face.

Upon arrival and finally finding the room Leandra was resting in, Iskra entered it quietly and shut the door behind herself before inhaling sharply at the sight of Leandra, even after she'd been cleaned up. Leandra's right eye was wrapped up with a faint trace of blood on the bandage, her right leg was in a cast from her toes up to just below her knee, both of her wrists were in braces and her left shoulder was wrapped along with her whole chest, which had various blood traces on it as well. On top of all of this, her left hand was wrapped up like a cocoon, though again, the faint blood traces were obvious. Nervously looking over the Hunter, Iskra said a silent prayer that she'd pull through. The last thing she needed was a dead Hunter, who she was supposed to be looking after.

Iskra took a seat near the bed of Leandra, who was currently hooked up to an oxygen tank, had an IV pumping fluids into her along with what looked like a blood transfusion, and was hooked up to life support as well. Iskra quickly found herself growing more weary by the second. Surely they had some way of accelerating her healing process, right? Not too long after asking this question to herself, Iskra looked up to see a nurse entering the room. The nurse immediately said to Iskra, "She's getting a blood transfusion currently, which will help greatly with her blood loss, but we had to perform a lot of surgeries at once and she's very drained now. You definitely won't catch her waking up for the rest of the day. After all of this, she'll definitely be needing some time to recover. I'm not sure what you all have planned for her, but she's going to need some time to get back up to her full strength again and time for her body to heal."

Iskra sighed at this news, but knew she couldn't argue with the nurse about Leandra's condition. The poor girl looked pale as snow as it were. She was clearly out of the fight for now. Turning on her headset, Iskra then relayed the message to the Harbingers, as she said, "Leandra is out for the day and for tomorrow. Beyond that, she seriously needs time to recuperate and replenish both her energy and strength."

The boy that had whisked Vienna away from the Terastios, looked over the battlefield wide-eyed, the Terastios finally vanquished. "well I'll be damned, they did it.," he said matter-of-factly, speaking to no one in particular. "But not without a hell of a retaliation..." He looked over to Vienna. Her eyes were closed. She was breathing, laboriously with sharp gasps in between, but still breathing. "Guess I'd better haul her over to the infirmary," he muttered, before hearing a feminine voice behind him. "That won't be necessary. I've got it from here." The boy whipped around to face the woman, weapon drawn. "Who the hell are you and where did you come from?" The boy demanded. The woman, who was tall, lean and slightly muscular, replied without even flinching, her Viridian eyes showing caution as raised her hands in front of her reassuringly. "Woaah there, cowboy. Chill. I'm with the Messengers. Council put me in charge of seeing Vienna through this." The woman ran a hand through her short dirty blond hair, and reached into the pocket of her suit's jacket to pull out her badge. The boy lowered his weapon. He looked over to Vienna, then back to the messenger woman. "Vienna, huh? That's Whisper's real name? She never told me." The woman chuckled a little. "You shadows do have strange ways," she mused as she, with surprisingly little effort for her thin frame, scooped Vienna up into her arms. One could tell she would be about half a foot taller than Vienna if they stood next to eachother. The boy shrugged, and said in a slightly threatening tone, "Alright, but if she ends up dead I'm blaming it on you." He shadow-stepped away, and the messenger shook her head and sighed, carrying Vienna away from the scene.

About halfway to the infirmary, Vienna's eyes fluttered open, Violet eyes darting around once consciousness took a hold of her. The woman, looking down, noticed this. "Hey, you're awake. Hanging in there? " "Who... are you?" Vienna croaked, coughing a bit at the end. "Shh, don't speak. Save your strength" the woman said, assuming an almost motherly tone in her voice. "My name's Nicky. I work for the council. You're safe with me." Vienna Looked up to this strange woman with a furrowed brow, not able to protest very much. Suddenly, the voice in her head spoke again, accompanied by an overwhelming sense of drowsiness. "Just rest for now," The voice chided. "You can trust her." She felt a calming nature from this voice, as if she could trust its every word, so she just did as it commanded. Seeing that Vienna had passed out again, Nicky sped up as she entered the doors of the infirmary, dashing to the emergency room. One of the doctors, seeing Nicky's badge and the unconscious young woman in her arms, simply nodded and gestured to step inside, as he held the door open. Several other students were already being cared for, and a nurse gestured for Nicky to place Vienna on a stretcher. Shaking her head in pity. "Just what did these students have to go through today?" "It's a long story, and a Classified one at that," Nicky replied. The nurse shook her head and began to hook Vienna up to life support, fitting her with a breathing mask. Nicky sat down in a nearby chair and sighed, sitting back and looking at her watch. This is gonna be a loooong night, the Messenger thought.

As the Ovida tore through the building that Venom, Widow, and Viper lept from; Venom couldn't help but feel a tad bit sad for the Assassin. Widow and Viper did not give them time to wonder about the woman's fate as they were zipping from building to building to get away from the destructive end to the Terastios. Thankfully, the combined efforts of the factions had indeed been enough to take down the beast. The trio finally stopped on the edge of a building and they sat on the ledge and watched as the goliath disappeared into nothingness.

With the creature gone, it seemed like the smaller Hirudo had also disappeared. Venom watched as the world fell back into its normal rhythm and the sound of the city seemed to take back over. He looked up at the sky, the evening was beginning to take over and the skyline was a beautiful orange. He inhaled and exhaled before patting both his comrade on the shoulders. "Bravo les camarades,"

Venom felt the world beginning to blur, his vision began to tunnel slowly as he lowered his head to his chest. Widow put an arm around his back to help steady him, but was surprised to find that the moment she touched his cloths that were damp with his blood, they burned like hot fire. Widow yelped and Venom fell backwards onto the buildings roof floor unconscious.

Widow and Viper looked to one another, and immediately whipped their heads towards the sound of footsteps on the roof. A young girl, probably no older than Widow, was walking towards them. Widow and Viper instantly recognized the uniform as messengers attire and stood as she got closer. The girl had her eyes fixated on Venom until she got close enough to speak with the twins.
"Well that was exciting wasn't it. I'm Recluse, the Harbingers sent me to help get Lucas to the infirmary and report on his condition." She knelt down beside Venom and with a surprising amount of strength she lifted his tall figure up and over her shoulder like a fireman. Widow and Viper looked to one another and then watched as the girl seemed to begin making her way down to the streets below with ease. The messenger and the twins all made it down to the streets below, where surprisingly and ambulance was waiting for them. After laying Venom on a stretcher on his stomach, they all climbed into the ambulance and headed for the infirmary.

Once they arrived, Recluse got Venom into surgery to stitch up and remove the shards of glass that had sliced him open when he went flying through the window. Widow and Viper also received some stitches for their run in with the windows, but theirs were much less worse. Finally after a couple of hours, Venom was rolled into a room while the doctors filled Recluse in with the details of his condition. Once the doctor had left, and Widow and Viper had dozed off in a couple of chairs in Venom's room, Recluse placed a hand on the side of her head to get in touch with command.
"Recluse reporting in. Lucas Lafluer is in stable condition. He had some serious wounds on his back, and subsequent chemical burns from where his blood seemed to touch his skin. Both should be healed without any delays." Suddenly there was a chuckle coming from behind Recluse " Tell them not to worry, I'm still as gorgeous as ever." Recluse spun around to see Lucas sitting up in bed, watching her with a very devilish smile. "Mr. Lafluer, you should be resting. I'm not even sure how your awake with the anesthetics they gave you." This made Venom chuckle again, this time she noticed a slight wince as he did. "Ah, mi amour, stuff like that doesn't really work on me. And please, call me Venom." Venom shifted in his bed a bit and then sat back. Recluse placed her hand to the side of her head again "Lefl....I mean.... Venom, Is awake and responsive. Recluse out."

Anuli sat there looking at Kehinde. He smiled thinking how much work it was to even handle that thing. As he was looking, he could hear the other messengers radio their status. He chuckled a bit placing his hand up to his ear, "We're all good here. Nurse said he just needed a couple of hours rest. You guys should come stop by," He smiled hoping his comrades heard him. He slapped his hands on his knees and stood up. He proceeded to the door, "Wait..." Kehinde called out. Anuli stopped on a dime, "Yeah?" He replied. "Go check on everyone else for me." Kehinde spoke raising his head a bit. Anuli chuckled then shook his head, "I'm not your personal assistant, but since I was gonna meet my comrades I'll do it anyway." Kehinde slowly smiled, "Thanks," he commented before laying his head back down. Anuli reached out and grabbed the door handle, "Rest up kid. You have a long road ahead." He opened the door then stepped out into the hallway closing the door behind him. He rose his soul essence in a way that smoke was coming off him. He used this technique so that Kehinde could be guarded in his absence. Although he'd be gone only for a few minutes, you can never be too careful.

After Anuli left Kehinde shot his eyes open. He sat up looking around at the room he was in. "Way to go Kehinde almost gotten yourself killed." He mumbled to himself. Kehinde swung his feet around to the side of the bed, He attempted to take out the Iv and the different monitors. His efforts were interrupted, "Yeah that's not a good idea kid." The voice said. Startled, Kehinde looked up to see Anuli sitting in the chair. "W....what?! Anuli you just left." Anuli smiled, "That I did...but you could never be too careful. Isn't that right?" Kehinde nervously smiled as he listened to Anuli. "Well fine then. I can't sit here all day you know." Kehinde retorted. Anuli's clone rolled his eyes at Kehinde. "Shut up and rest! Geez..." He barked, causing a silence to blanket the room. One could tell that Kehinde was growing angry.

Anuli and Kehinde began giving each other the death stare. Kehinde gave him one because he was an ass and Anuli returned one because Kehinde was just as much of an ass. "Whatever ya thinkin kid I'd suggest you come up with an alternative." Anuli taunted. The tension was interrupted by the nurse coming in, "Mr. Akachi, You have visitors." Anuli stood up and place his hand close by his weapon, "What visitors?" He questions. The nurse stepped aside to reveal both his faction mates as well as a man. Kehinde eyed the man and knew exactly who it was. Anuli stepped between the bed and visitors. He saw that the first two that entered were apart of the faction, but he wasn't sure about the man. "Can I help ya with something sir?" He gestured. The man simply looked past Anuli looking at Kehinde. "You..." Anuli interrupted him, "Um...I think you should be concerned with me. I asked you a question." The man was about to speak but to be interrupted again this time by Kehinde, "Its fine. He's my old man." He sighed. The man turned to Anuli, "Yes clone I am next to kin." Anuli rolled his eyes and stepped to the side, "I see where he gets his assholish ways." He mumbled under his breath.

Kehinde and his father had a rather strange relationship. Kehinde loved his father no doubt, but they just didn't click on some pages. His father approached him, "Kehinde...." Kehinde threw his head in the direction of the window, "I'm fine father," Kehinde's father stood about 6 foot 4 with an athletic build. He had long wavy hair and violet colored eyes and as his name precedes him, he is called the king of illusions. His father sat down on the bed facing the other direction. He was at a loss for words as they didn't speak much. "Let me be the first to say. I'm proud of you son." He spoke. Kehinde didn't even seem to budge after hearing those words. He was so tired of hearing the same phrase over and over. "Thanks," He replied nonchalantly. His father turned to the others in the room, "Could we have a moment?" The nurse obliged and gestured for everyone out of the door. Anuli walked over and sat in the chair in the corner. "I already told you I don't plan on lea...." Kehinde's father cut him off, "Young man don't let me have to repeat myself." Anuli looked over to Kehinde for approval, Kehinde nodded in agreement. Anuli chuckled at the old man's empty threats, "I'm down the hall if you need me. I needed to give this clone a break anyhow." With that everyone except Kehinde and his father remained.[/border]

Several hours had passed since Vienna was carted off to the emergency room and given surgery to mend her broken bones and reopen her airways so she could breathe normally on her own. Another Messenger appeared before Nicky, a man that hadn't been assigned a graduate himself. He was carrying Vienna's scythe, and was told to leave it with Nicky to hold onto until the young shadow had recovered from the day's ordeal. After taking the scythe, propping it up against the wall and sending the man off, Nicky waited in the recovery ward next to the bed Vienna would be moved to once her condition was stable... or at least no longer critical. Nicky glanced at her watch again, probably the third time in about 5 minutes. 1 Am... christ, it's been 8 hours now. Dammit, I don't want to file a casualty report because of incompetent surgeons! Not to mention that'd be damn pathetic... brand new apprentice helps take down a 5th level Terastios, survives, then dies in the goddamn hospital. But I've gotta have faith... she awakened during that fight, saw it with my own two eyes. Her Koumpi hasn't given up on her, that's for damn sure....

Nicky impatiently tapped her foot, shaking the last drops of an energy drink into her mouth and tossing the can in the trashbin. Her third this evening, to ensure she didn't doze off in case something happened. A Messenger always had to be prepared, and while consuming this much caffeine couldn't be the healthiest way to go about it, it did the job. Suddenly, she heard the the doorway to the emergency room burst open, and the curtain's in Vienna's cordoned off section were moved aside, causing Nicky to look up from her chair next to the bed. Lone behold, laying atop a stretcher being wheeled across the room, was Vienna, dressed in a hospital gown and hooked up to an anesthetic IV needle. Nicky asked the nurse about the young Shadow's condition, and was relieved by her answer. Bringing a hand up to the headset on the left side of her face, she spoke as she watched the nurse move Vienna onto the bed and tuck the young Shadow in. "Status report: Vienna Moors is in stable condition. She had suffered a broken rib, a minor concussion, and several minor bruises and lacerations on her torso and legs. Estimated hospital release date: 4-7 days. Estimated full recovery time: 2-3 weeks. Messenger Nicky out."

A few more hours passed and Vienna began to stir. Glazed-over violet eyes wandered about the room, before stopping on Nicky, sitting with her arms folded in the nearby chair. The tall blonde woman smiled. "Hey, you're awake! How do you feel?" Vienna blinked a few times, then spoke up, her voice hoarse and weak. "I... feel... very numb.Wh-who-" Vienna's brow furrowed, before her eyes widened, still slightly glazed over. "Y-you were the one who took me here.." Nicky nodded, seeming impressed. "Yup, that's right. Pretty sharp memory for the state you're in, I'm impressed. Nicky from the Elder Council Messenger division, at your service," the woman said, holding up her badge. She seemed a tad older than Vienna, mid to late twenties probably. "I... see. I suppose they assigned you to watch over me... wh-what.. happened to the Terastios? Is it... gone?" Nicky noded, to which Vienna gave a relieved sigh. "No other graduates were killed either. You lot are either damn talented or damn lucky. Probably a bit of both."I'm... just glad we were able to defeat it,"" Vienna replied, her voice a bit clearer now that she was mostly awake. Nicky nodded, her mouth curving into a slight smile. "Spoken like a true Hunter." Vienna sat up carefully, glancing around the room and seeing her scythe propped up against the wall, and letting out a relieved sigh. "I thought I'd need a new weapon... thankfully not." Vienna rested her back against the pillow, sitting up partially straight, and brushed a few stray strands of hair away from her eyes with one hand.

"So... when will they release me?" Nicky shrugged. "4-7 days or so, according to your nurse." Vienna rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. "Great. Stuck in this damn bed for upwards of a week. Any other wonderful news?" Nicky laughed softly. "Yeah, I hear you... places like this can suck your soul right out of a girl. On the bright side, that's honestly the worst of it. The council will want to see you once you recover. I'm supposed to stick around and keep checking up on you till then. Though, I suppose you could take that as bad news. I've heard I'm quite a pain to deal with." She winked and a curved her lips into a small smirk.Vienna herself slimed a little... quite the rare occurrence for her. "Heh. I like you," she said, although the neutral tone in which the words were spoken left Nikki wondering if the odd young woman meant them. She decided to go ahead and assume the sentiment was real. "You do, huh? Good, that'll make things easier for both of us, then. Now, I'm required to ask you a few more questions. Let's get this over with, alright?" Vienna nodded. "Alright. What do you remember about the Terastios fight?" Vienna furrowed her brow, a confused look on her face as she idly rubbed her temples with one hand. "Only small fragments... lunging at the Trastos, climbing it's back, then... falling from it, being flung off. After that, it's all a blur, can't make much sense of it. Though i do remember a... voice, in my head. "do you think... that might have been my Koumpi?" Nicky nodded. "No doubt about it. A couple minutes after you ate dirt, you got right back up. I could feel your soul energy rise all the way in the distance where I was watching. "I.. see." This was the only response she could come up with, still processing the surrealness of it all.

After a short silence Nicky spoke up again. "So, is there anything you need? Want me to fetch some things from your dorm room?" Vienna thought for a while, then nodded. 'Yes. My laptop, its charging cord, and the small the pile of books that should still be sitting next to next to it on my desk. That should be all I need." Nicky nodded, visibly seeming to make a mental note. "Alright, well, if you think of anything else I'll be checking upon ya every 12 hours or so. For now, I'll be right back with your things." Nicky left the room, waving with the back of her hand as she did so. Vienna settled back into the sheets and sighed. This was all so much to absorb, so for now she gave in to the drowsiness still nagging in the back of her mind. She awoke to find her laptop charging on the bedside table, the books she'd been reading neatly stacked on top of it. She sat up and stretched, and whilst thinking about how to kill this nearly insufferable time, she found herself thinking. I have a feeling that the Terastios was only a small taste of the future.... but... I don't feel afraid. Maybe it's because fighting is all I can do... not to mention it's the only thing that makes me feel... much of anything, to be honest. As long as I bring a few Hirudos with me when I die, I will have no regrets. So I'm not afraid to keep fighting. Not one bit.

Sora came to in a hospital bed with Miria at the side of his bed and someone he didn't recognize. He only remembered hitting the Terastios with the ovida and then blacking out. He could tell that they gave him something to activate and accelerate his regenerative healing as well as something for the pain. He heard someone say "Look who's finally awake, I am Josef and I pulled you out of a pile of rubble. Word from your. faction members is that you finished off s terastios with its own ovida. Is that true?" Sora looked around for a bit and focused on the man he didn't recognize. "Yeah it's true." Sora answered. He saw Josef shift on the wall but his vision was little bit blurry still.

His eyes roamed across the room first the rectangle light fixtures then at the white patient outfit he is wearing. He didn't move so he wouldn't disturb Miria and instead continued speaking to Josef. "What happened to the others?" Sora asked. Josef replied "I know some of them are being healed in this place as well but no deaths as of yet. It's a miracle you guys are even still alive after doing that on your own. Even with the Knights walking you guys through it. You may get a promotion for this." Sora laughed a bit and said "Yeah well would've been a different story we didn't awaken."

Torii watched, tears running down face, as the Terastios dissipated. She then looked back down to Kimirou and began to sob once more. The sound of footsteps behind her caught her attention. Once the footsteps came to a hault, she looked up wiping the tears from her face. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine. Would you like to join me in taking him to the infirmary?" The fair skinned man that now stood next to her asked. Torii was mesmerized by his eyes. They appeared to be a bluish-silver with a black dot in the middle. She noded her head to agree. The man knelt down to pick Kimirou up. It was noticeably easy for him to do so and the size of his arms just complimented that fact. Once he stood, Torii did the same noticing if he and Kimirou stood side by side the would be around the same height. He smiled to Torii and then they were off. "Your obviously holding back on your kinsi for my sake. If you can go faster be my guest." Torii acknowledged as they used kinsi hopping from rooftop to rooftop. The man chuckled at her. "So a wise gal huh. Such a young bud as yourself really thinks she can keep up?" "Are you really trying to have fun and flirt when my brother is lying in your arms with no noticable fragment of soul essence in his being?" Torri sacastically rebuttled. The man opened his mouth again but this time sincerity held on to his tone. "You know. I have been where you are and I was told once by a great person. 'The best thing to help get over a situation like this is to have fun and laugh." He then looked over to the girl and winked. "So catch me if you can." with thosed words the man and her brother were gone. Anger filled her being. "When I catch up to him I am geing to rip him to shreds." Torii pulled out two crystals made into the form of poker chips. She flicked them at her feet. The chips changed in form and attached to the bottom of each foot. They now resemble small jet engines. After a few moment she appeared right next to the man. "Easy as pie." She commented with a smile. "That's cheating. That's cool though." He remarked and then noticed that they were arriving at the infirmary. "We're here." left his lips as they arrived at the door.

They rushed in and placed Kimirou on a stretcher. "Well Alfonse, who have you brought in today?" A nurse asked as she walked up to the man and Torii. "Well her name is Torii and she doesn't know how to play fair." He remarked while rubbing that back of his head and smiling. Torii rolled her eyes and pointed to the stretcher. "His name is Kimirou and his soul essence is zero." The clear feeling of irritation with the man resonating in her sigh like tone. The nurse ran over and placed the tip of a device that resembled an ear thermometer in Kimirou's ear. "This is not good" left her lip and with a flash she was behind the stretcher speeding through the halls as if she was using kinsi. After hours passed by, Kimirou was finally being placed into a room by a man in a white coat with the sleeves cut off at the shoulders. Alf and Torii were already in the room. Their conversation causing Torii to fall asleep while waiting. Alf stood along the wall next to the door. The new man pushed the stretcher in the middle of the empty wall opposite of the entrance. The man waved to Alf asking him to join him outside while the two young ones slept. Once outside Alf began the conversation. "Why are you bring him to the room? Isn't that the nurses job and not the doctor?" The doctor laughed. "Well i do have to give him special treatment. Don't I? I mean he is my brother after all." "Wow didn't know that." Alf's eyes grew 3 times bigger as he mumbled the words. "You also didn't know that he is currently unconscious. Only he knows when he will wake up. However, although it is very week, his soul essence has returned." Alf made sure his hand was on the reciever when the doctor said this so he wouldn't have to repeat it. "Kimirou is stable. Alf out." He finished the doctor's statement. "Really" the doctor commented. "I don't see what my sister see's in you." The doctor finished. Alf smiled and asked. "Wait, so you think she digs me Tal?" Tal rolled his eyes and as he turned and walked away waved and comment. "It's Doctor Talsin to you."

Gloomy start to a busy day

And so the crews worked well into the evening hours. Crews were everywhere working hard, cleaning up, investigating, and working with the police. Around midnight, they were making a considerable amount of progress. Things seemed to have been going well until a clap of thunder brought in the next morning it was around 6:45am. A voice resonated on the earpieces of the immediate disaster area, "Alright everybody. I think I saw lightning unless Spark is playing a trick then this ought to be a go break point." Everyone then began to find a good stopping point. There were a lot of specialized divisions out it was like a crime scene out of a movie. One in particular that was snooping around were the Omada. This was the intelligence squad of the council. It was usually not a good sign to see them poking around after something. These guys were more cleaned up than your other hunters. They covered half their faces to conceal their identity. When they fight they fight and when they don't your lucky. The squad was made of about 5 elite personnel hand chosen like that of the knights.

One of the Omada walked over to where Margie stood. He was carrying a folder in his right arm. He tapped her on the shoulder causing her to step to the side. As they talked, Ralph sat there looking trying to read their lips. "What's that about." Sebastion walked up. Ralph looked over his shoulders, "Someone set us up." He implied. Sebastion furrowed his eyebrow in confusion, "You mean....." Ralph quickly answered, "Yes. Meaning that the graduates almost killed themselves for sabotage." Sebastion stood there with a shocked look on his face. He couldn't bear to believe someone would do that. He then shot a look over to the other Omada that were snooping around where the Terastios had died. Suddenly a messenger appeared next to Ralph, "My liege," He spoke. Ralph rolled his eyes and waved his hand in a nonchalant fashion, "What have I told you guys about that. I don't even know what that means so don't call me that," He emphasized to the kneeling messenger, "What have you got Rico?" The messenger stood up, placed his hands behind his back, and spoke, "The graduates are safe sir....I mean Ralph." Ralph looked over at the messenger, "Ok, so conditions?" The messenger cleared his throat then continued, "Yes, their conditions seem to be stable, but the bad news is their of recovery is sporadic and unknown." Ralph shook his head in utter shame. He was generally upset that the graduates had to endure such an event prematurely. Why didn't they intervene? Why did they let them do this on their own?

Ralph then saw the Omada leave margie. He signaled for the the messeger to sit still. Margie looked over at Ralph giving him a look. He then closed his eyes and extended his hearing through the air. Margie nonchalatly spoke, "There going to the infirmary. Make sure they don't get anywhere near the graduates." She adjusted her hair. Ralph nodded an looked back at the messenger, "Get to the infirmary and inform the others the the Omada is coming. They aren't to get near the graduates." He whispered. The messenger nodded and before he left, he sent a page to the 7 messengers alerting them. Then he vanished. "What's the ETA on the Hiringu's arrival?" One of the the other hunters spoke over the earpieces. "Not sure they are still on mission, but they have been informed of the situation at the infirmary and are sending an able body person to assist in the recovery efforts." Someone else responded. The Hiringu were the hunters specialized in healing. They usually work in the infirmary creating potions, learning new healing konsido, etc. One is always on duty at the infirmary, but in this particular instance all of them were sent out on missions. Rain began to pour causing everyone to run for cover. It was always said that rain is a way the earth is saying its hurting, atleast thats what was past down through the genrations.

Kehinde's father followed the messenger with his eyes until he was no longer in view. After closing the door behind him, Anuli's clone dispersed into a cloud of smoke as the real Anuli approached. He then walked over into another room, grabbed a chair, and drug it back to the outside of the room. He looked down at his watch and saw it was after midnight. So he slid the chair in front of the door blocking it just in case anyone wanted to get in or out, they would have to go through him. He yawned, folded his arms, and then closed his eyes for a few moments.

A few moments turned into hours. Anuli was woken up by a nasty clap of thunder and the sound of rain falling on the building. He blinked his eyes and looked around a bit trying to readjust to his surroundings. When he came to, he rubbed his face, stood up, and returned the chair back to a nearby room he took it from. "Sounds like a nasty day out." He mumbled walking back to the room. When he came back, he perched himself on the wall outside to see if he could eavesdrop on the conversation inside between Kehinde and his father. The graduate he was assigned too was a bit mysterious and he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask him. He looked down at his watch and noticed it was around 6:57 am. He yawned again shaking his head, "Man must have been out awhile." He thought.

Anuli was about to go to the front when out the corner of his eye he noticed someone approaching the front desk. Anuli's eyes filled with nervousness as he looked on, "What?....The Omada are here?!" He questioned himself in confusion. The person he saw had a freshly touched haircut, wore a wine red colored raincoat with the Omada badge displayed. From the looks of it, he stood little under than 5'11 with an athletic build. As Anuli watched, he felt his messengers device buzz within his pocket. He reach down in his pocket without looking, pulled it out, and brought within his view to see what the message was. "Yeah you're a little late Rico." He cursed under his breath.

Before he looked back up, the nurse was already leading the man down the hall toward him. His companion that entered after awhile went another direction with another nurse. Anuli swallowed making a gulping noise.

After doing so, he went in to intercept the approaching hunter. *Play* He stepped from behind the wall purposely bumping into the man, "Oh my apologies. Must wasn't paying attention." He nonchalantly chuckled meeting the man's glare. The man shot his golden honey colored eyes over at Anuli readjusting his coat, "Must wasn't" A husky sounding voice replied. Anuli sat there a moment trying to gather his thoughts. He could feel the man's eyes upon him, "Anuli Delany correct?" The man questioned coughing a little. Anuli froze as he heard his name called. "Wow these guys are good," he thought to himself. He slowly rose his head to the man and responded, "Yeah....who wants ta know?" The man then shifted his attention to the nurse, "Thank you, ma'am, I can handle it from here." He pleasantly smiled. The nurse nodded and spoke, "Need anything let me know." She walked off before stopping to look over her shoulder, "Oh and an Hiringu will be arriving shortly to tend to the wounded graduates." She finished walking back toward the front.

The man returned his glare back toward Anuli, "Reason I asked was because I was wondering what a messenger would be doing here," He then ran his hand through his hair, "But it seems I already know why. Care to point me in the right direction?" He asked. Anuli switched his stance to a more serious tone, "Oh that won't be necessary. All that's down there....." He was interrupted by the man," Should be wounded graduates if I'm not mistaken. The nurse told me such." Anuli chuckled under his breath, "Well then why would ya need me to show you the way?" He stepped back standing in front of him, "Besides they need their rest." He sarcastically smiled. "Fine then. Guess I'll have resort to alternative methods." He hinted, lacing his voice with malicious intent. Anuli smiled and met his gaze, "So be it." He responded with conviction. Anuli meant business. Hopefully, the other messengers are well aware.[/border]

A sudden thunder clap echoing through the building brought Leandra back to reality in a heartbeat, as she suddenly inhaled sharply and her eyes shot wide open. Gasping for breath, Leandra immediately began panicking, as she quickly looked around the room in both panic and confusion, as the last thing she remembered was seeing rubble from a building burying her alive. Yet, the second she tried to move into a sitting position, Leandra cried out pitifully, as both her arms were badly injured and one was wrapped like a cocoon. On top of this, her chest was heavily wrapped along with one of her shoulders and her right leg was in a cast and immobilized. But why was her eyesight partially restricted? Why couldn't she see out of her right eye? Being physically incapable of feeling the right side of her face, Leandra nervously looked around the room, having finally calmed herself down from her small panic attack, just in time to see a messenger enter the room with some coffee in hand.

Iskra was beyond surprised to see Leandra conscious at all and she immediately rushed over to hit the button to call for a nurse. Leandra was in no condition to be conscious right now. The pained facial expression on Leandra's face was evidence enough about that. Shifting her attention to Leandra, who hadn't said a word yet, Iskra then said calmly, "You're in the infirmary, Leandra. You've suffered numerous injuries and are bed-ridden for a good bit so that you can fully recover. Unless we can manage to get a Hiringu to look you over. Though, your condition is still very poor regardless." Inhaling shakily, Leandra then asked Iskra in a soft and clearly pained tone, "What is the extent of my injuries?" Shifting on her feet, Iskra then moved to grab a chair nearby, the one she'd slept in last night, and moved it to the side of Leandra's bed before sitting down and taking a sip of her coffee.

After a moment of silence, Iskra then said without meeting Leandra's gaze, "Your right eye was heavily damaged when the rubble buried you. They, um, weren't able to fix it. They had to remove it entirely and until a replacement of sorts can be figured out, you'll have to just wear an eye patch over it." Before Iskra could continue, Leandra was already breathing heavily, as she felt another panic attack coming. She lost her right eye entirely? Her right eye was her aiming eye with her rifle. She'd have to completely reteach herself how to fire a rifle and pistol all over again. Unless, as mentioned by the messenger, they were able to find a replacement. Still, Leandra found herself struggling to catch her breath and Iskra shot to her feet and was about to rush out to find help when the nurse finally burst into the room.

Seeing Leandra panicking, the nurse wasted no time in grabbing an inhaler from a side table nearby and shoving it into Leandra's hand. For a second, Leandra just stared at it and then she quickly used it, which soon allowed her to breath normally again. It was only after this happened and Leandra caught her breath once more that she realized the implications of this. Did she now have asthma? Without asking this question, thinners suddenly spoke up, saying, "You don't have asthma if that's what you were thinking. One of your lungs was punctured and so the inhaler helps when you're struggling to breath. We brought you off life support late last night when your breathing was stable enough, but I had a good idea that this was going to happen when you woke and reality began to set in for you."

Inhaling slowly, Leandra then asked the nurse, "What are the rest of my injuries beyond my...eye?" The nurse glanced back at Iskra, who had resumed calmly sipping at her coffee, and then looked back at Leandra when Iskra shrugged in a way of saying that she didn't mind if the nurse disclosed such facts. Sighing, the nurse then said evenly, "Your left shoulder was dislocated, your wrists both were severely sprained to some extent, your left hand is missing the pinky finger and several small bones in it were broken, your left lung was punctured, you broke three ribs and fractured one, and then your right shin was shattered in two different places. As said before, you will need quite a bit of time to recover before you're fully recovered." All Leandra could do while the nurse spoke was take it all in and do her best to not panic again. Once the nurse finished listing all of the injuries, Leandra felt exhausted all over again and had a sudden urge to sleep. Lazily glancing to her side, Leandra was mildly surprised to find Iskra standing there at the IV drop after having just injected something into it. Meeting Leandra's gaze, Iskra shrugged again and then said, "You know you need your sleep anyways. Just relax, all right?"

In reality, Iskra had just received the message from Rico and knew her best line of action was to get Leandra unconscious again. You can't ask an unconscious Hunter questions, now can you? Nodding at the nurse and thanking her, Iskra soon returned to her seat and began sipping at her coffee once more, just as Leandra nodded off, just before she could complain, and began sleeping peacefully once more, her inhaler on her lap now. Hopefully, nobody would come questioning Leandra since she was possibly in the worst condition out of the other Hunters in the infirmary, but you could never be too safe.

It was around 6 in the morning as Nicky leisurely walked down the hospital corridor, one hand in her pocket and the other coming up to cover her mouth as she let out a yawn. She slowly sipped the mug of coffee in her right hand as she came to Vienna's room, near the end of the hallway. Turning the doorknob and slowly pushing the door open, making a little noise as possible, she peeked in to find that Vienna was fast asleep. Judging from the open book laying in her lap, one hand loosely holding onto it while the other lay limply at her side, the young Shadow hadn't exactly planned to doze off when she had. At least she's getting plenty of rest, Nicky thought, smiling a little as she carefully and quietly took the book from Vienna's lap and placed it on the nearby table. Nicky then sat down next to the window and looked outside. Christ, it's gloomy out there this morning, she thought as she idly sipped at her coffee. She just watched the rain fall for a while, listening to the pitter-patter of raindrops on the window. letting her mind wander. Suddenly, a loud crack of thunder startled her out of her reverie. Incoherent mumbling could be heard from Vienna's direction, and Nicky glanced over to her. She tossed and turned for a short while, before settling back in and letting out a steady breath. It seemed like the storm hadn't woken her, yet anyway.

Suddenly, Nicky's Messenger Device began to vibrate. Furrowing her brow with concern, she took it out of her back pocket and checked the message she had just received. What could this be about, at this hour? Reading the message, her eyes went wide momentarily before she let out a sigh, putting the device away and standing up, heading back towards the door, her mind racing. 'The Omada? Here? Now? that just reeks of bad news. If they find out what really happened... no, not gonna think about that. Don't let 'em get near Vienna. That's my number one priority. She stepped outside and into the hall, quietly closing the door. She stood guard, hoping to whatever god would listen that she didn't have to fight an Omada... but they don't accept excuses, and get the information they need to complete thier investigation at any cost, from what she's heard of them. Dammit.... the Omada's job isn't to fight, arguably less so then us Messengers so who the hell thought it was a good idea to select them based on power!? Nicky sighed heavily, pacing restlessly in front of the door to Vienna's room. She heard footsteps heading this direction, and had an uneasy feeling she knew who was coming.

Venom eyed Recluse over a few times. He had not noticed until he had a much clearer head that the girl was not bad looking to say the least. Curvy figure, a bit on the voluptuous side, something that Venom liked in a woman. He auburn hair fell to her shoulders and covered her left eye. she lowered her hand to the side of her head and looked back to Venom. "You should be able to recuperate in piece Venom. If you should need anything, I will be outside the door." Venom smiled and raise a hand to stop her, "Actually Madam Recluse, if you would be so kind as to get the doctor to give me something a bit stronger. Perhaps some Heroin, or straight Opium. One of those might knock me out and give me some relief from this pain." Venom did the best he could to give the girl the best face he could for sympathetic pain.

Recluse looked over him for a second, then back to the two sleeping in the room with him. She sighed and unfolded her arms before turning from the bed towards the door. She waved her hand in the air before leaving the room without a word. As soon as the door clicked shut, Venom's smile widened.
[PRESS PLAY] Venom reached up to his arm and gave the IV in it a quick yank before looked around the room. Nothing fancy just your typical hospital room with your typical sleeping team mates out like light bulbs. Venom slid the covers off of him and swiveled his body around to the edge of the bed. He placed both his feet on the ground and lifted himself to his feet. The pain was not as mind numbing as it had been before, the pain killers were at least doing a little something. But none the less, he could still feel the stitches and knew he had to at least be careful. He walked over to Viper and Widow, who had placed a hospital bag between the two of them. Venom smiled and opened it, finding that all of his effects and belongings where in it. First he pulled out his flask and downed the last of his concoction back with a shiver. The absinthe burned as he exhaled from the swig and smiled. If the concoction of alcohol and meds didn't knock this pain out, nothing would.

After procuring a few items from his bag he walked over to the door and placed an ear to listen to the outside. It didn't sound like anyone was out there, perhaps the messenger had actually gone to fetch the doctor. Venom smiled, maybe he would have to inspect this girl a bit closer some time if she was that dumb and attractive. He placed a hand on the knob and turned it slightly, peering through the crack to see the empty hallway. He smiled again as he slipped around the door and into the hallway. He looked around, seeing the nurses station just up ahead. It seemed that the nurse on duty was to busy with some form of paper work so Venom was able to creep down the hall slowly and duck under the desk and around to it side.

He peered over the edge of the desk and saw the lady's back. Attached to her side was a small plastic card on a retractable string. Venom smiled and reached out and easily grabbed the card and was able to cut the piece of twine with a knife concealed in his hand. He spun back around as the nurse swiveled her chair around and went to the other side of the desk to place the file down. Venom was up and moving before she came back to her spot, slinking down the hall keeping an eye out for any kind of door that might need to be inspected.

Back at the door to his room, Recluse had returned from finding the first doctor she could and asking about something stronger for Venom. Just as she was about to knock on the door to the room, a message came over the com warning her of the Omada were on their way. She sighed
"This can't possibly get much worse.." She thought to herself before she opened the door. She stood there in the door way to the room, looking from the two sleeping Thief team members to the empty bed before her. Her mouth dropped open as she placed a hand to her head and pressed the com. "This is agent Recluse, Graduate Lafluer of the Thief faction is MIA." Code names be damned, Recluse was not happy with the person she was supposed to be watching just wandering off.

After hearing the Messenger declare his position, You could tell the Omada member was growing irritated. Anuli smirked a little thinking he was starting to get into his head, "What's the matter? At a loss for words?" He taunted. The man then shook his head and exhaled, "I don't wish to cause any trouble. I just want to ask a few questions." He explained. "Hmph." Anuli went as he thought the words he was saying were a bunch of crap. He knew what the Omada were about. He also knew they don't just ask questions, they pry. "While I understand that I can't disobey orders." Anuli returned. The man then chuckled. From the looks of it, he was literally beside himself because he couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You have yet to ask for me to state my business. First mistake of a hunter. Never talk until the other has given you a reason to." The man spoke with a pitiful look on his face. "No matter. I'll just return another time." He then spun around in the other direction. Before he started off he looked over his shoulder, "Next time I won't be taking no for an answer." He chillingly spoke beginning his departure. "Besides, I'm not the only one here." He finished vanishing from sight. Anuli kept his stance for a moment to make sure the man was gone.

After he couldn't see him, He breathed a sigh of relief. One thing was strange about his encounter with the man. It was the fact he couldn't feel his soul essence at all. Only skilled hunters were able to accomplish a deal like that. His thoughts were interrupted when he heard the door open up. He turned around to see that Kehinde's father was leaving. Anuli just scowled At him as he was about to close the door, "Leave it. I'll close it." He retorted lacing his voice with a grim tone. Kehinde's father released his grip and walk right past the messenger.

As he passed by Anuli could feel the strength of him from the soul essence he was putting off. Kehinde's father stopped without looking back, "I'll be back in the next few days to check on him. His abilities have grown no doubt, but he still has a lot of work to do. If he isn't progressing, I'll be sending one of my healers to him. Your healers can't heal the injuries he has sustained." He explained. Anuli's eyes widened in shock after hearing the man talk. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. More questions began to swirl around in his head, but he could only muster up one, "What injuries do you speak of?" Anuli asked quizzically. "Unlike everyone else, his injuries are mental. When I say that, I mean His mind can't handle that much power all at once. It hasn't had the time to regulate He inherited his abilities from his Grandfather. With that being said anything changes that happen to his body causes his brain to cast an illusion on the host body to protect itself. In turn, the host will feel, see, and think of itself as injured." He added glancing over his shoulder. Anuli eyes got even bigger as Kehinde's father went into more detail. He wasn't understanding any of it. Why was his mind doing this, could it be stopped, what can anyone do? These were some questions that were going through his head.

He was about top ask another question, but Kehinde's father stopped him, "Be careful, though. Don't look at him straight in the eyes because when you do you fall victim to a never-ending illusion." He chillingly commented continuing on down the hall, "The boy is very ill. I've done some things for him. But until I see him again it's left up to him." With that Kehinde's father disappeared as if he never existed. This left Anuli feeling uneasy because here he was dealing with an unpredictable graduate. He turned around and returned back to the room. He slowly opened the door and creeped in. Kehinde was sitting straight up looking at the tv when he saw Anuli enter his line of sight. "Well...look what the cat brought in. How's everyone else?" Kehinde asked visibly looking off. Anuli looked the other direction to keep from looking at Kehinde, "I'm not sure. Haven't had the chance to go check." Anuli nervously Kehinde chuckled, "I assume you got the memo?" Anuli nodded and felt his way back to the chair in the corner. "You can look at me it's ok. It only happens when we lock eyes for longer than 10 seconds." He observed adjusting his covers. Anuli placed his hand over his eyes as he sat down, "You sure?" He questioned. Kehinde furrowed his eyebrow, "Yeah, I'm positive." Anuli slowly retracted his hand from his face looking at Kehinde. Now that he knew what was going on, he saw that Kehinde was just fine on the outside. Just a few cuts and bruises. His father did a good job of bandaging up stuff. Anuli wanted to ask questions, but he saw it best to just leave it alone. With the Omada poking around, he needed to think of something fast to protect Kehinde whilst he was in the state he was in.[border][/border][/border]

Nicky watched the staircase in nervous anticipation, as the source of the steady footsteps revealed itself: A man of rather tall and imposing stature, wearing an instantly recognizable uniform that confirmed Nicky's suspicions. He was Omada, no doubt about it. Nicky moved to block the door, showing she meant business by crossing her arms and fixing the man with a glare. The man returned the look silently as he approached, glancing at her uniform before speaking up in a questioning tone. "A messenger? Now just what might you be doing here?" Nicky, sill fixing him with a glare, showing no emotion, spoke up nonchalantly. "What does it look like?" She quipped sarcastically. "I'm making sure you don't step foot in this room," she finished, leaning back against the door and sweeping her bangs out of her eyes with one hand, still keeping that stoic look on her face. The Omada, looking annoyed, spoke up in a rather complacent tone. "Are you, now? Well, I'm afraid our purposes here seem to conflict. According to the hospital staff, there's a graduate in there that I require a few answers from."

Yeah, well, that's too bad," Nicky began, ""Cause I've got strict orders not to let you get anywhere near her." She spoke matter-of-factly, allowing herself to smirk slightly. "Just doing my job, know what I mean?" "You'd better watch your tone, woman," the Omada began, "We Omada don't tolerate interference." Nicky scoffed, staring him straight in the eyes. "That so? Whatcha gonna do about it? Attack me? Im sure that'll go over real well with your superiors. Hell, you so much as touch me and you'll be in deep. Sexual assault allegations can ruin anyone's reputation, even someone as well respected as you... and I'm a damn good actress, trust me." Her smirk didn't fade, even as the Omada's soul essence rose due to his growing anger. "You will not get off that easy, neither will the graduate. You've done nothing but raise my suspicions in this investigation." Nicky shrugged. "Oh, I know. You Omada types never give up. Now, I think this is the part where you stop yapping and piss off." Visibly seething, the Omada stormed off, muttering something about the nerve of some woman and a thankless job.

Nicky had already turned around, opened the door, stepped in and closed it once he was walking back down the stairs. Turning around, she was greeting with a very much awake Vienna, sitting in up her bed and glancing at Nicky curiously. "What was that all about? I heard voices... sounds like it got rather heated." Her voice was rather weak, indicating she was still quite sleepy. Nicky sighed, and sat down in a nearby chair against the wall, facing Vienna's bed. "Sorry I woke you... long story short, the Omada see fit to interrogate you and all the other graduates here... I don't know what's up, but I'm not allowed to let that happen." "I... see," Vienna muttered, still looking very confused, but didn't pry further. "Just try to relax," Nicky said, "I'll handle it." Vienna nodded slightly, before laying back down and staring blankly at the ceiling silently.

Suddenly, a voice same through on Nicky's earpiece. It was Recluse, calling an MIA on Venom. "...What?" Nicky muttered under her breath. She sighed heavily. Great, the damned Omada are here and now an injured graduate flat-out poofed under his messenger's nose. I've got a very bad feeling about all this... Nicky made sure the windows were secure, and locked the door, listening intently for even more ominous news from her earpiece, because she knew it would be coming. Vienna laid there for a little longer, before sitting up, slipping out of the covers and sitting up at the edge of the bed with her feet on the floor. Nicky eyed her with disbelief. "What are you doing? Get some more rest, you need it." Vienna shook her head. "I feel fine. Most of the pain has subsided and think I can walk. I have a feeling something bad is about to happen, and I want to be as prepared for it as I can." Nicky looked down and shook her head whilst sighing, but said nothing. For all she knew, Vienna may have to take action before long. Regardless of how risky that would be right now, Nicky doubted trying to convince her would do any amount of good.

Just as Iskra had begun dozing off, she was startled awake by a knocking at the door to Leandra's quarters. Blinking and then rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, Iskra stood up and stretched for a moment while yawning just as the person began knocking yet again. Scowling at this, Iskra then said irritatingly, "Calm down, will you? I'm coming, sheesh." Yet, when Iskra opened the door, she was shocked into silence for a moment, as she took in the sight of the Omada standing right in front of her. Iskra blinked once before she finally regained her composure and crossed her arms over her chest, silently glaring at the Omada. The Omada let out a weary sigh before he said, "Look, I just need to question the Hunter. We don't need to fight like children over this." Rolling her eyes, Iskra then said, "Well, too bad. She's asleep and needs every second of it. Bugger off, sir." The Omada scowled at this response and said, "If she's truly sleeping then step aside and let me see for myself!" Shaking her head, Iskra then smiled at the Omada before saying curtly, "Sorry, doctor's orders are for only myself to be present or another medical personnel right now." This said, Iskra then took a step back and promptly slammed the door shut in the Omada's face right before locking it. Not a second later, the Omada was angrily fiddling with the doorknob, trying to get in.

Rolling her eyes at this, Iskra then walked away from the door and settled back into her chair, feeling bored out of her mind. At least the Omada had entertained her for a few seconds. Yet, now she was back to watching an injured person sleep. Just then, Iskra heard the Omada stop fiddling with the doorknob, as he said through the door, "I will question that Hunter. It doesn't matter when, but it will happen. You can't change that!" Sighing, Iskra dismissively waved her hand while giving the Omada the silent treatment, leaving him to storm off on his own. Dropping her chin onto her palm, propping her head up on the edge of Leandra's bed, Iskra then stared at the sleeping Hunter, wondering what would happen next. It was then that Iskra heard the news of a missing Hunter. The Thief, too. Chuckling at this news, Iskra then wondered what the Thief had stolen already. She doubted he'd try to leave the infirmary. What good would that do him? It was only then that Iskra realized the Omada were wandering about. What if one of the Omada found the Thief first?

Cursing herself, Iskra shot to her feet, hesitating, as she wondered if anyone would try to get in here if she left now. Considering her recent encounter with that one Omada, she doubted it. Plus, Leandra was truly unconscious at the moment anyhow. Quietly, Iskra exited Leandra's room, shutting the door behind herself. Looking down the two hallways, Iskra then took the one that the Omada didn't storm down, as she now began quietly weaving through the hallways to try and locate the missing Hunter. They couldn't let a Hunter be found or questioned by any of the Omada.

The Omada

"Looks like this will tougher than I thought." Dye spoke holding his hand to his ear. *Press Play* Dye was the first Omada to enter the hospital that morning. He was given simple orders to just question the graduates about their involvement in the summoning of the Hirudos. He is the no nonsense Omada but will play along only for awhile. They sent with him his partner Tobias to aid in the questioning. Unlike Dye, he was the most level-headed member of the squad. Dye was still trying to rattle his brain around the fact that a messenger was about to literally fight him. Someone as low ranked as that wouldn't be able to stand a chance let alone survive one attack from Dye. He admired his efforts though and that's why he decided to return later hoping the messenger would change his mind.

Another thing that stayed at the forefront of his mind was the fact that the messenger mentioned he was on orders to not let him through, "Could this be a cover-up?" He thought to himself as he walked down the corridor. "Can I help you with anything sir?" The receptionist asked knocking Dye out of thoughts. He stopped, looked around, and then looked at the receptionist pointing at himself. The receptionist politely smiled then nodded, "Well yes silly. It early in the morning. Not many hunters are here at this time. Visitation usually doesn't start till 9." Dye returned a smile to her and stepped over to fish for information. "Well, I guess I could use some help. What do you know about the graduates who checked in last night?" He asked leaning on the counter with his elbow. The receptionist reared back in her chair showing that she was comfortable. She shrugged, "Not much. I heard they had a nasty tussle with a Terastios. Other than that everyone has been tight-lipped about the incident." She observed delicately. Dye furrowed his eyebrow, "Tight lipped?" He questioned back. The receptionist nodded reaching over to grab her coffee. She brought it to her mouth, took a sip, brought it about midlevel to her face, and continued, "Yeh tight lipped. Nobody has said a word about it. I mean you'll hear a few whispers and stuff but nothing to really write home about. Nobody talks to the receptionist anyhow. I'm only a third-year hunter still in the first tier. I got no leverage here yet." She responded placing the cup down then answering the phone. Listening to her talk gave Dye reason to believe something was being hidden. If people weren't saying much then why are they so tight lipped?

After she was done talking on the phone, she spoke, "Sorry about that. Was there something you needed?" She asked. Dye nodded and retracted off the counter, "Yes if you could get me a nurse or a someone from the Hiringu on duty please, that'd be great." He replied stepping away to the waiting area. As he was about to take a seat, the receptionist called, "She will be with you in a moment." Dye nodded and waited patiently for her arrival.

As he sat there waiting, his partner Tobias chimed in on the earpiece, "This is Tobias. Need Dye to switch to the private channel." His gruff sounding voice resonated. White noise following immediately after, another Omada member responded, *Press Play* "I'll be switching. I'm headed that way anyhow." Dye then spoke, "Switching." After doing so, Dye spoke again, "Go ahead, Tobias." Tobias exclaimed with near frustration in his voice, "Notice how those messengers are acting?" Dye smiled shaking his head, "Tell me about it. One of them that looked like he was six years soaking wet wanted to fight me." He responded. "So you mean to tell me that you all are having trouble with a few measly messengers?" A hoarse but very intelligent sounding voice chimed in. Dye rolled his eyes but was thankful they were sending him. "Ahh, the soul stealer. Must have found something serious if they are sending you." Dye chuckled. "Hold on guys one of the messengers just snuck out of their respective room. Want me to head on in?" He asked. The voice once again spoke, "Come on Dye you give me to much credit haha. Tobias, that would be too easy, act as if you didn't see em. When they get back you block them from getting back in. You know what to do." Dye knew things were about to get interesting when the other one gets here. For some reason, The member they were sending was never too keen on accepting the word no. Dye then responded, "Eta on your arrival?" The voice in turned answered, "About 10min tops." He chuckled cynically, "Those messengers will move out of the way." With that Dye nodded.

As if on cue the nurse walked up, "Looking for me?" She politely asked. Dye handsomely smiled, "Why yes I am. Didn't know they would send someone so beautiful." The nurse giggled then blush, "You can walk with me. Be careful though I bite those who are with the Omada." Dye furrowed his eyebrow and bit his bottom lip, "Oh well, in that case, walk we shall." He charmingly replied. Dye was already working on the nurse hoping to get some of the answers he needed.

Somehow during the night, Alf dozed off in the chair next to Torri. A knock resonated from the door of the room, and his body sprang to life in a sitting position. However, the knock wasn't what woke him, but the dream he was having. "I guess you are finally awake. Sleep on the job are we?" A voice asked from within the room. Alf's eyes scanned the room until they fell upon Kimirou. Kimirou was sitting up and apparently writing something on a notepad. Alf scoughed at the comment and then made one of his own. "Aren't you supposed to be unconscious or something?" Kimirou flipped a page on the pad and continued writing. "Aren't you supposed to be, oh I don't know, doing your job?" Kimirou then faced the notepad to Alf. Written beautifully upon the notepad were the words, 'You suck at it!' Kimirou then continued to speak. "Oh yeah and there was a knock at the door." Alf stood and walked over to the door. "Well, why didn't you get it?" "Do you not realize why you brought me here?" Kimirou retorted now scribbling again on the pad.

As Alf put his hand on the knob and twisted, he peered down at his messenger's device. Seeing the message about the Omada, he tried to take his action back and slam the door. However, it was too late and the figure was already in the room. "Not doing a very good job protecting the boy are we?" A familiar voice resonated allowing Alf to sigh in relief. "I came to check on him since you fell asleep." The voice resonated once again. Alf turned around. "Tal what are you doing now?" Alf asked as he turned. "Didn't I already answer this last night?" Talsin replied chuckling sarcastically. Talsin turned to Kimirou. "Any memories of last night yet Mr. Die in a pile of snow?" Kimirou rolled his eyes still not looking from the pad. "No! and as I told you when you last checked an hour ago, I don't want to talk to you unless you are going to tell me what happened." Quickly smiling Tal responded. "As I told you nothing happened."

Tal then turned around and placed his hand on Alphons' shoulder. This allowed Tal to connect his soul essence with Alf's. This was a technique that only a few experienced hunters knew. Alf then heard Tal's voice in his head. "Kimirou apparently has no memory of anything after apparently falling into a pile of snow. Since I don't know what happened, I keep telling him I don't know. Which is true." Alf then thought back hoping that Tal would hear it. "Well, I don't know either. Which is perfect, since the Omada are poking around." Tal's smile dropped instantly along with his hand. He dropped the connection of soul essence as well. Tal turned to Kimirou. "Sorry, brother. It seems I have something to do." Kimirou staring at the pad still pointed to Torri who was still sleep. "Something better than taking your sister out of the coma you pit her in?" Alf's eyes widened at what was just said. "Actually yes, plus she's fine. She is having a fun day with mom." Tal responded. "Mom's dead and she isn't coming back. Why did you do that to her?" Kimirou sarcastically murmured. Tal responded, "Well after seeing you having mother's family trait, she wanted to see mom for herself." "How does she know what mom's family trait is. Mom died while giving birth to Torri. And wait did you say I had ...." By the time Kimirou looked up to finish his statement Tal was already gone and he was staring at Alf. "Well got to protect you. Get some rest." With that Alf waved, ran out the door, and slammed it behind himself.

On the other side, Alf stood guard for any Omada that might appear. After a few seconds, Tal came back to speak to Alf. "Ok, so the Omada are here. Don't worry though. This is Hiringu turf. They can't ask questions if there is a Hiringu on duty." Alf retorted, "But there isn't one on duty." "Well, they don't know that." Tal sarcastically commented before walking away and disappearing around the corner.

"The omada are coming and we're not supposed to let them to talk to the graduates." Josef said after checking his messenger device. Josef looked to Sora and said "Hmmmm..... okay I need to somehow stop you from talking to the omada. Maybe you can shape shift into someone else but that slow down your regenerative healing and we need you guys to heal ASAP. Wait you're a ninja so you can conceal yourself right?" Josed began thinking of what he'd say to the omada. Then he had a light bulb "You know what you just figure out something while I gain myself plausible deniability. Josef then left the room leaving Sora inside.

Sora check his wounds, they were all dressed so a littlw movement won't cause them to bleed crazily again besides as long as he doesn't shift again his regenerative healing should work as fast as possible. Maybe they'll send a healer to accelerate and finish the process. Sora threw the sheets off of him and got out of the hospital bed. He walked into the darkest corner of the room and then used True Concealment. Right then, one of the omada kicked open the door to discover what appeared to be Sora missing. Josef entered behind him and shrugged at the Omada without saying anything. The omada stormed out of the room pushing Josef to the side, while Josef put two thumbs up assuming Sora could see them which Sora could of course.

They had looked at him as though he was crazy at first when he had proposed the idea to the council. Hell he had broken it down to a level so rudimentary that Darious felt even a child would understand but the council was still skeptical. Soul essence propulsion? unthinkable ? was it really? Darious cursed to himself as he remembered how much time he had wasted throwing together the presentation for the council members.Sure he had the funds stashed away for the project himself, but why spend his own hard...suspiciously earned loot when he could just spend someone else's right?

Well those bastards were sure interested now. Once they had seen the results for themselves, they basically threw the funding his way. Of course, the numbers he would need for the project were well organized, if not slightly fabricated; and it seemed his choice of colorful charts proved enough to distract them all so they would not think too hard about the budget. Perhaps it was that, or the busty assistant he had hand picked to help with the final presentation before he was awarded the finances. Who really knew?

The pirate set the small craft to rest on the top of a tall building overlooking the aftermath of the Teristos attack. There was some structural damage to the building but it was relatively intact compared to some of the other ruins in the immediate area. The landing could have went a little smoother he concluded as he swung his legs over the side and planted them on the roof top. After all, it had been the first real test flight so a bumpy landing was expected. In actual fact, the news that he would be testing the prototype today had failed to reach the council. Whatever, he would deal with that issue later. He chuckled to himself has he pictured the beet red faces of the council members overseeing his progress.

“How dare you do this” they would protest

“We’re going to pull your financing” they would threaten… Eyes all a glow with fury, hands on their hips, fists shaking in protest.

Pishaw, and they call pirates eccentric. It was Darious’ invention anyway.

Once the news had reached the Pirates that the top graduate of their faction had fallen in battle Darious had been sent there immediately to recover her, or what was left of her anyway.

It had been a grueling day for those in the midst of the battle and Strider had picked up on several violent soul essence spikes during his aerial approach to the battleground but it was clear that the teristos was gone for now.

“Well, lets get to it” the pirate commented aloud as he scaled the remnants of the building he had landed on to the ground. Darious threaded carefully, picking his way through the streets. There were impact craters scattered all over the place. Broken furniture and shattered windows littered the ground. He cleared the dust and debris away from areas as he went with strong bursts of wind.

“TSK TSK. What a mess." The pirate recovered several bits of jewelry and valuable trinkets along the way, absently sliding them into his pockets figuring no one would miss them in any case. It was kind of like laying claim to a ship for salvage after destroying it only in this case,he himself, had not done the destroying.

He found her buried under a large pile of rubble. She was in bad shape but there was still a tiny spark of soul essence within her. The initial rescue parties had probably been too busy grabbing the visibly wounded folks to even notice the faint pulse of her soul essence. “Ms Bombastic” he murmured as he sadly looked down at her ruined body. Darious let out a heavy sigh “I trust you fought valiantly and proved the worth of the Pirates. Your efforts will not be forgotten.”

With that he gently scooped her into his arms and delivered her to the infirmary. There was a slim chance for her survival, but slim was better than none.

Once his faction mate was admitted into the infirmary, Darious took some time to move through the crowds of injured to find out any information he could about what had transpired. He quickly learned that the Omada was involved. They were scattered around the facility trying their best to fit in and gain all the intelligence they could, but it seemed they were meeting some resistance with regards to accessing the graduates that had been on the front lines.

Rumors of the top graduates spread like wildfire. Whispers of them activating a higher power were on the lips of everyone that had witnessed the ordeal. Some recounts of these higher powers were vivid and descriptive, while others seemed too far fetched to be accurate. Not that Darious would ever know for sure, he was merely the rebound guy so to speak. Next in line to Ms Bombastic. For some reason he had not been granted permission to join this battle. maybe that was a good thing, maybe it was not. Engineers of his caliber were hard to come by within the Pirates Faction. Perhaps he was more valuable to the faction as an engineer than a hunter. It did not matter to him how his faction felt. He had always wanted to become a hunter. Now was his opportunity.

The Harbingers

The rain did not show any chances of letting up. This, of course, hindered any progress the Council was trying to make in the clean up process. The time was getting around noon as lightning flashed and thunder rumbled. *Press Play* While it rained, the Knights met at a nearby diner to grab something to eat and discuss the day's events. From the looks at the amount of people in the diner, one would think nothing happened at all. Joining them was the 6th Knight of the roundtable Ava Rye. She missed everything because she was out on a mission of her own as well as the other knights were. “What an awful day,” Ava mentioned as she approached the table. Ava had a sweet sounding voice. She was about 5’7 in height had an athletic build. Her hair was bobbed style as always and her color was a fuchsia. She was always the colorful one of the bunch. “About time you showed up. Thought you were never coming.” Margie joked standing up for Ava to slide in. “We already ordered you a freshly brewed tea, with a pint of lemon a few cubes of ice, and sugar on the side for your own doing,” Sebastion commented. Ava smiled, “Oh you guys know me so well,

She took her hand and moved her hair out of her face, “So how did everything go?” She asked. Everyone sat in complete silence as if she said something wrong. They all looked at each other waiting for someone to speak up. Ava made a face as if she were impatient, “Oh don’t all talk at once.” She remarked. The waiter then showed up with everyone’s beverages. Ralph was the only one that had gotten a kids sized cup. “Just let me know when you're ready to order.” The waiter smiled leaving the table. “Well, I guess you could say it was mildly successful.” Gaia joked twirling her hair. Sebastion shot a look over to Ralph, “He drops the jar of Rudai like an idiot.” Margie rubbed her forehead in frustration, “It got a little out of hand. Let's leave it at that.

Ava reached down and grabbed a few packets of Splenda. She ripped about three packs open simultaneously, dumped them over in her tea, and stirred the tea with her straw, “Are the rumors true about the graduates going into awakening?” She humbly asked. Margie looked up with a pitiful look in her face, “Yeah it's true.” Ava brought the glass up to her lips and took a sip of the tea, “You look as if that was a bad thing.” She commented placing the glass back on the table. Ralph cleared his throat, “They were injured in the process. Not to mention that the jar of Rudai was tampered with.” Margie looked over at him with a shocked look on her face. Ava tilted her head as the words met her ears. “You know?” Margie asked. Ralph nodded and took another sip of his lemonade, “Yep. Overheard you talking about it with the messenger.” Ava’s mouth slid open slowly, “W…wait so you're saying that someone sabotaged the rudai?” Everyone at the table nodded in disappointment confirming Ava’s question, “Any leads on who did it?” Margie shook her head, “Nope. And to make things much worse, the Omada suspect we had something to do with it.” She suggested picking up her glass. Ava was in utter shock after hearing the news. She was gone for two days and comes back to a pile of mess. “That’s the Omada for you. Quick to conclusions. When do you guys plan on going to the infirmary?” She questioned. “We’re not. Gonna let them rest and get their strength back. Then have them come see us.” Sebastion added. “And the plan?” Ava returned. “We’re working on it.” Ralph smiled.

Word traveled fast that one of the pirates had shown up at the place of the attack. This only meant a few things, One of the members didn’t make it, they were just looking around to loot, or they were doing their own investigation. The last one a bit more far fetched. As if on cue, Rico showed up with some troubling news, “I’ve come with an update.” The sound in his voice was unsettling to the group. “Go on,” Ralph gestured. “The Omada are sending the soul stealer to aid in the questioning of the graduates.” He reported matter of factly. The group was taken by surprise as the messenger spoke the words. “You’re kidding right?” Margie angrily responded. The messenger shook his head standing up to his feet, “I wish I were Mi lady. He is literally en route to the infirmary as we speak,” He steps in closer, “The messengers are doing their best to ward them off, but with the Hiringu not present there’s nothing they can really do.

Margie slammed her fist down on the table in frustration causing a few of them to jump a little. She wanted to march down there and blow the Omada away, but she couldn’t because they were tied up here at the attack scene. “If he gets there. The whole protection will go up in flames. I can’t afford any of the messengers to be badly injured. The council will hang us for sure.” The messenger interrupted her, “That’s not all,” He mention pulling a file from his bag, “Ms. Bombastic or Danielle was killed in the attack.” He slid the folder on the table, “Of course they have already sent her replacement. His name is Darious Vaunbane.” Ralph opened the folder to look, “Oh yeah I know him. He presented an Idea about….what was it….” He snapped his fingers, “Soul essence propulsion,” He slid the folder further down the table for the others to see, “Pretty good presentation. Don’t think anyone bought it, though.” Ava looked into the folder and sipped on her tea, “Come to think of it I remember seeing this guy on my way here. Had some sort of a contraption.” She shrugged, “Heard he was a beast at building stuff, could turn out to be an asset.” Ava then looked at the messenger, “Have you made contact with him yet?” The messenger shook his head, “No I haven’t crossed paths with him. Last I check he dropped of Danielle’s remains off, that’s about it.” He replied placing his hands behind his back. “Well, in that case, head back and find him. We ned to get to him before the Omada does. He may be the only able body person to help block the soul stealer from getting through while the messengers defend the wounded graduates. Hopefully by us some time until one of the Hiringu gets there.” Margie proposed. The messenger nodded, “Need me to fill him in?” He asked stepping back. “That won’t be necessary. If he asked questions, tell him. if not, don’t say anything. Just back him up if the time comes. Now go!” Margie commanded. The messenger nodded and walked toward the door vanishing into thin air. The knights all looked at each other with troubled looks on their faces. They had a lot of work to do.

The hospital floors where quiet for the most part. At least the hallways and floors that Venom made his rounds on where. So far he had been pretty lucky, hitting a few pharmacy closets, medical supply rooms, even finding a closet with a few personal records. The files didn't hold to much, so as he closed up the final filing cabinet he headed back to the door and poked his head out. He looked around and found no one around so he strolled out into the hall keeping an eye on the doors for anything else that seemed interesting along his stroll.

It wasn't until he made his way down to the receptionists area that he had to actually duck and cover once again. The area was not overly populated in the early morning hours, but the few that where around would be all to happy to send Venom back to his room before he could finish his scavenging. He was about to pass behind the receptionists desk and make his way back down the hall when he stopped at the sound of someone mentioning graduates.

Venom, crouched next the the edge of the wall the receptionists desk backed up to, sat there a moment and listened. It seemed there were a couple of gentleman here he were interested in himself and the others that had fought the Terastios the night before. Venom listened and heard something that sounded quiet ominous, "What the hell is a Soul Stealer?" He thought to himself as it sounded as if another body had joined the two men. Venom's eyes darted to a closet on the adjacent wall and he swept across the hall and into as the small group of people left the desk and began to walk down the hall. He stood there in the closet for a moment before pushing the door open once again and smiling as the coast was clear. It seemed he would have to cut his time short and head back to his room.

As Venom ducked and dodged around the Hospital back up to the floor he and the others where on. He rolled the things he heard around in his head trying to make sense of what he heard. He felt he was missing something very important, something he would try and pry from anyone he thought might have the information. As he reached the floor with the rooms, he peered around the corner to see the hall had become a bit busier then earlier. Venom sighed as he darted into a dark room across from him.

Shutting and locking the door, he found the room empty and made his way over to the window. He chuckled as the single pane of glass with no way of opening it. He reached up with a dagger like finger and placed it on the glass, then began to draw a large oval shape in the glass. Once the oval was finished, Venom pried the glass away from the window and set it on the bed int he room, no need in alarming anyone with the sound of broken glass. HE stuck his head out the window and looked down the row of windows and counted to the one attached to his room.

He looked and found a ledge that ran the length of the building and climbed out onto it, using his dagger like hands to dig into the side of the building as he walked himself around the ledge. He did not think his room was very far down the row, and he thought he remembered having the blinds drawn in the room. So when he reached the room with the blinds drawn he once again placed a finger on the glass and made himself an opening. The strain of holding himself onto the side of the building was beginning to grow, and he could feel his concoction of meds and alcohol wearing off. Once he had the glass free he was relieved and made his way inside the room.

As he set the glass back into the window after climbing in and pulling the blinds back to normal, Venom turned with a smile expecting to see his comrades still sleeping in their chairs. However, what he found made him stop in his tracks. A single person, lying in the rooms bed, heavily bandaged and the seemed to be out. Venom made his way closer to the bed and he looked close at the face of the woman in the bed. The eye patch and the heavy bandages made it incredibly hard to pin point her right off the bat, but after a few moments he realized who it was.
"Merde, Madam Assassin. You did not fare quite as well as some of the rest of us did you?"

Leandra saw herself standing in a forest, which was void of all color except a bloody red, which covered everything around her while the ash from the trees and ground seemed to float upwards into the sky. Looking around herself in confusion, Leandra then went rigid upon hearing a child crying out nearby. Eyes wide, Leandra stiffly walked around a tree to find a younger version of herself crying with her knees pulled tightly against her chest. Nobody was comforting her. She was alone.

Suddenly, the child vanished into thin air along with a small flash of light. Leandra blinked in surprise and wiped away a tear from her face just in time to see several Hirindu appear before her. Without thinking twice about it, Leandra brandished her pistol and took aim, but before she could pull the trigger, the Hirindu changed forms and became people, some children and others of various older ages. All of them were ashy and distorted though, and none of them showed any particular facial expression while Leandra had her pistol aimed point blank at a child, no older than two years old. Gasping, Leandra quickly holstered her pistol, but suddenly there were gunshots ringing all around her and all of the people suddenly fell to the ground, dead with bullet holes in their foreheads.

Whipping around, Leandra then almost cried when she saw her younger self holding her own pistol and killing the Hirindu...who had invaded her home and killed her parents.

Gasping, Leandra jolted awake in time to hear the last bit of someone speaking to her. Gritting her teeth at the pain from all over her body, Leandra then shifted her one-eyed gaze over to see the Thief Hunter standing near her bed. Narrowing her eye at him, Leandra then muttered painfully, "What do you want, Thief?" Why was the Thief here in the first place? What could he possibly want? Not like Leandra had much of anything to offer in return. Granted, her pistol was among her belongings nearby, but Leandra was in no shape to stop the Thief from doing anything. Not right now anyways.

Anuli sat in the chair across from Kehinde with his legs crossed reading the day's paper. This was always his morning routine when he was on a trying mission. He used this as a way to channel his stress and prepare him for a day's work. Out the corner of his eye, he saw the door crack open. He tensed up when he saw it was Kehinde’s faction mates. With them, they carried coffee, sausage biscuit, and a chess board. “I know it’s late, but we thought you needed some,” Selina commented handing Anuli the hot cup of coffee. “Oh….thank you.” He smiled. “There’s cream and sweetener over there by the tv. Wasn’t sure how you liked your coffee.” She chuckled looking over to Kehinde.

Anuli got up and made his way over by the tv to fix up his coffee. He noticed that the girl who brought him coffee was looking at Kehinde, “Don’t stare at him for too long.” He mentioned pouring cream into his coffee, “Won’t end well for either of us. Know what I mean?” Selina smiled and looked over to Ferdinand and Emanuel. She tilted her head over to Kehinde as if she were trying to say something. “We brought you a chess board Kehinde,” Selina looked as she forced Emanuel to hand the board to Kehinde, “We know how much you like to play so hopefully that will aid in your recovery.” Kehinde reached out and grabbed the board from Emanuel scowling at him. It was evident the two did not care for each other and Kehinde knew this was some sort of cheap peace offering. “Thanks, guys. Means a lot.” He asserted causing Emanuel to step back and roll his eyes.

Selina looked over to Anuli, “So what’s the update?” She asked fixing Kehinde’s covers. Anuli returned to his seat with the coffee in his hand. He blew on it, took a sip, cleared his throat, and sat down placing the coffee by his newspaper. “Don’t know. Safe to say a couple of weeks maybe months,” He shrugged, “Not really sure considering the guy is sitting up you know?” Selina turned around and sat at the edge of the bed, “What his father say?” Anuli reached over and grabbed his paper, “Something about bringing his own…” He was interrupted by a strange shadow hugging the window ledge. Anuli thrusted down his paper to get a better look. “Is that….” Selina curious walked over to the window, setting herself up to be just away from view. “Yep, someone’s out there. Just can't see who.” She declared looking at Anuli. Anuli cursed in his head thinking it was an Omada trying to sneak in. This was a new low even for them. He got up from his chair and pressed his face up on the window to see if he could figure out what it was. He was just in time to see the hind part of the person go in a window above them.

Anuli stepped back with a shocked look on his face. Everyone in the room looked at him waiting for an answer, “Well? What was it?” Kehinde asked with a bit of a worried look on his face. “Someone literally just scaled the building and broke into a room,” Anuli reported. “Was it an Omada?” Ferdinand asked. Anuli shrugged and scurried over to the door, “I don’t know, but I’m sure as hell about to find out.” He looked back at the group, “Guard him. Anyone knocks don’t answer it unless they have probable cause.” They nodded in agreement. With that Anuli opened the door and darted out leaving the door to close on its own. He brought his hand up to his earpiece, “This is Stalker Anuli reporting suspicious activity. I just saw someone possibly enter a wounded graduates room. I’m on my way there now. If it’s an Omada kill on sight.” He proclaimed running for the stairs. @zCrookedz @Lioness075 @DergTheDergon

Back at the room, Kehinde and his faction mates sat there anticipating some news. With all that was going on it seemed as if he would never get any rest. He looked at his faction mates and nodded, “We can’t just sit here you know. We are basically sitting ducks.” Kehinde commented sliding the covers off of him. Selina jumped off of the bed, “Well you have a point. But you’re in no condition to do anything.” She responded. “If I understood my father correctly my injuries are mind based. I can solve that with a few games of chess and a good book should do the trick. Lying here won’t solve that problem at all.” He returned swinging his feet around to the edge of the bed. “Well, pea brain what do you suggest we do?” Ferdinand asked. “We should escape the hospital…” He proposed. Everyone in the room shot a shocked look at him as if he lost his mind. Emanuel clapped sarcastically, “Oh bravo Kehinde you have reached a new stupid.” Kehinde jumped to his feet only to feel woozy. Selina immediately rushed to his side, “See. You’re talking crazy. Maybe you should lay back down.” She insisted. Kehinde held on to Selina, “I’m fine. Just go and find the exits. I’ll explain on the way.” He spoke with a strain. They looked at him for a moment but did as he asked and took off in different directions of the hospital leaving Kehinde behind. Kehinde struggled to get his balance growing angrier by the second at his handicap. When he finally got a good footing, he looked around, “Come on Kehinde get it together!” He thought to himself. For him, it was time to get down to business.[/border]

Venom smiled down at the Assassin as she seemed to rouse herself from her dreams. He looked around the room for a moment and noticed no messenger, or either of the strange men he had seen talking to the nurse. He made his way over to the door and flipped the lock on it so that it would remain shut. He wasn't sure what those men were after, but he had a feeling it had something to do himself and the other graduates. Venom then spun around on the spot smiling down at the girl lying in the bed. No doubt she was more than a bit curious about locking the door, he simply smiled at her and shrugged his shoulders a bit "I apologize for the, cachotteries, of me being here. Theives do not always go unnoticed."

Venom stuck his hands into the pockets of the robes he had been wearing, a slight rustle of a lot of loose items moving around came from them. As he walked over to the chair in the room next to her, he began to think back to his actions to scale the outside of the building. It had not been the most inconspicuous move, but it had been the only one he had thought of at the time. Of course, NOW looking up he could have just as easily made a hole in the ceiling and tried it that way. Oh well he shrugged to himself and plopped down in the cushioned chair. He placed a hand on his head as he watched the Assassin in the bed closely.

He perked up for a second and leaned forward,
"I do not believe we had the pleasure to exchange names when the world was ending Madame Tueur. My name is Lucas Lefluer, master Theif extrodinair. However most people call me Venom." Typically, Venom would stand, throw his hands into the air, and perform a magnificent bow he was very proud of whenever he introduced himself. This time however, the pain spreading across his back was growing ever more, and so he simply dipped his head and twirled his hand around in a bowing motion. He reached into his robes and produced one of his flasks. He unscrewed the top, only after reaching into his pocket for a few of the lifted pills he had taken, and downed the pills with his medicine. He exhaled and smiled as he leaned back into his chair.

Leandra furrowed her brow at the Thief, as he walked over and locked the door to Leandra's own room. Scowling at this action, Leandra was about to say something when the Thief spoke up, seemingly apologizing for his own behavior. He was certainly an odd one, at that. As for him going unnoticed, Leandra doubted he was able to get away with everything he did. Surely Iskra would be back soon, right?

When the Thief put his hands in his pockets and LEandra could hear several loose items being jostled, she frowned. What trinkets did he have in there? Anything dangerous? Was he going to try and harm Leandra while she was downed like this? Maybe that was pushing it, but Leandra had learned over her life to trust no one. It was safer that way. You couldn't get hurt if nobody was close to you. Seeing the Thief making himself comfortable in Iskra's seat, Leandra continued to frown, not liking the Thief's attitude of superiority or something. He acted like he owned this place, which was far from the truth.

Hearing the Thief speaking again, Leandra let out a small sigh and shifted her gaze back to the ceiling while listening to what he had to say to her. Surprised, though her facial expression didn't show it, to hear the Thief introduce himself as Lucas LeFluer and then as Venom, Leandra shook her head slightly in amusement. Such easily placed trust would be Venom's downfall one day for sure. Leandra's gaze remained on the ceiling though and so she missed any movements he made after introducing himself. Remaining silent and not offering an introduction in return, Leandra soon perked up at the sound of a flask being opened though. Immediately, she shifted her gaze back from the ceiling to Venom, as she saw him drink out of a flask. Smelling the scent of alcohol from the flask, Leandra immediately asked Venom, "May I have a drink from your flask? I haven't been allowed any damned alcohol since being here." Still silently refusing to introduce herself, Leandra held out her right hand for the flask, her hand being wrapped in bandages as well as having a brace on the first while her hand shook slightly. Though, the shaking could be a result of her body being weak right now or just due to the pain that seemed to be pretty constant for Leandra right now.
