Help Confused with the themes that are allowed on here

So like we all know there are no sexual things allowed on this website, makes complete sense and I support it ofcourse. But recently I reported a post for having a INCEST pairing, a full on illegal thing that should not be allowed. And it was dismissed and said its allowed as long as its not sexually explicit. This should not be allowed?? Its not okay, and i may get in trouble for posting this but im just full on confused and disgusted so like does anyone else feel this way cause WHATTT

The things that RpN doesn't allow are explicitly sexual content (e.g. detailed descriptions of sexual organs and acts) and extreme gore. RpN DOES allow people to write about illegal topics... For example: murder, which is very much worse.

It just is weird to see people romanticize shit like that and its alright- i hope at least of there is murder its more for angst and plot and not glamorizing it

It may be weird, but at the same time, if RpN mods began striking RPs that featured incest, there is a host of other offenses that the mods would have to crack down on as a result. It's a very difficult line to pin down.

Can't say I condone the romanticization of incest on a personal & moral level lol, but I completely understand why it is allowed.

Like I said earlier, murder is also "worse" than consensual erotica, but I don't think the mods are going to strike that.

Yeah, it's a weird moral grey area where both are bad in their own ways but if one is struck then the other should be as well.

If you're going to nit pick and say both can't be allowed, then there's a whole slew of things you'll have to go at. Being a writer means being able to express yourself and exploring things. All they wont allow on the website is sexual content (because there are underage kids here) and extreme gore. They aren't limiting what people can write, they're trying to keep it friendly for people under 18 years of age.

just gonna necro this rq because I reported the same today and I've had issues in the past. Erotic RP isn't allowed, even seeking it for offsite is not allowed. This is the definition of incest: "sexual relations between people classed as being too closely related to marry each other." Example sentence: "the crime of having sexual intercourse with a parent, child, sibling, or grandchild."

It's concerning the leeway allowed. It is explicitly sexual and not enforced against. It's not 'kink-shaming' to say incest is disgusting and shouldn't be allowed to be advertised here. It's not a kink. It's also illegal. And if you're writing it then that's your own insanity but today someone posted that they'd participated in incest irl and want to write it. I reported this many hours ago and nothing has been done. The last time I reported incest i was basically told it's not sexual and is allowed. So do the mods not know their own rules? The mention of the word incest is inherently sexual by DEFINITION and therefore shouldnt be allowed, right?

So basically guidelines apply to recruitment posts, I've found two today seeking incest explicitly. Seeking erotic content is not allowed and yet incest is being allowed despite the definition of incest being that of a sexual relationship. Mature themes can be handled but once again, explicit sexual content is prohibited. And pornography as a topic is not allowed nor real-life criminal activities or harmful or offensive content. All of which incest falls under the umbrella of. And any content glorifying harmful ideologies or actions is not permitted, once again incest falls under this. The guidelines state you can't confirm a persons age online and we know the site allows minors. Therefore why is the site not operating under the assumption anyone could be a minor and banning incest discussion and interest checks altogether?

If the people who aren't mods give more of a shit about the guidelines and safety of others what's the point? It's disgusting. And that's not a discrimination because it's illegal and immoral and gross.

Also it says bypassing community guidelines is not allowed... And yet the mods are doing this by allowing incest? Make it make sense.

I could send this to a mod on DM but I think having this in public is more impactful so people know what's going on, or rather not going on. incest is not a sexuality or a fade to black scenario. it is illegal and by the sites own rules against the very same rules.

Maybe I'll get burnt for this by the Mods who knows, but someone has to say this and say it loud. Stop cherry-picking and enforce your rules, turning a blind eye with the knowledge that the discussion and invitation to roleplay incest could be directed towards a minor who might become a victim to other forms of sexual assault because of inaction shouldn't even have to only be enforced due to a rule. It's common sense and the right thing to do to not allow it.

You can argue 'oh well murder is illegal but you can roleplay that' but murder also isn't sexually explicit, you can't murder someone over text, but roleplaying incest is inherently sexual and therefore against the rules by default. Also anyone who tries to 'morally grey' high ground this is gross btw and it just will come off as incest justification.
