A small smile drifted onto Beth's face. Manjano spoke about meeting Falarion much more positively than other things, and it seemed to her like an expression of their bond. Almost like Manjano was being sweet, even though it wasnt so obvious.
Beth jumped a little when the door behind them opened, turning her head to see a maid stepping out. Manjano jumped to his feet, immediately on the defensive. She reached up and her fingertips brushed his forearm for a brief moment, in a completely absent-minded gesture. "Its alright. Thank you, we'll be right in." She said to the maid, as she was already disappearing inside.
"You're awful scary there, Manjano." Beth said, turning to look at him and standing. She was grinning, a little goofily, as she teased him. "That poor girl." She let it hang in the air a moment, then grew a little more serious. Beth had a feeling he might not speak for the rest of the night now that they had been interrupted. She had to tilt her head up to look at his face, but it wasnt so bad. "Thank you, for this. It was really nice.. I really do like listening you. I know you already know this, but Falarion and Leandra would like to hear you too." She smiled again, and dropped her eyes, taking a step backward. "Now come on," Beth turned and started back toward the doors, "You should eat." She looked over her shoulder, green eyes appearing a little more like silver in the starlight. It was her turn to smirk when she said, "You owe me one answer though."
At the door, she paused and gave a single short whistle, searching the sky for her companion. If she was honest, she was wondering if he had gotten over his temper tantrum.

Somewhere off in the garden, Totus popped his head up from his finished meal. Beth. He hesitated, unsure if he was still angry or not. Either way, he should return since she went as far as calling. On silent wings, he flew back to the house.
