Bael couldn't help but be more than a bit proud of himself and surprised by this response, but all that dissolved when Zoe stepped to him again and took his hand, replaced by the same awkwardness and hot-facedness that always accompanied these situations. It was becoming abundantly clear to him that surely Zoe wasn't catching onto the signs in him and had very little concept of personal space to boot. He had almost painfully mixed feelings about that; he didn't like it but at the same time, it was really kind of nice.
His pride returned shortly when she went on about how brilliant the idea of the tea was and asked him to teach her to make it. "Of course," he told her readily. No way was he going to pass the opportunity up, not if someone found his knowledge of putting plants in hot water impressive. He gestured to head back down to the kitchen. "I don't know if they'll have some of the more exotic stuff, but any number of things that can help should be pretty common." He had to admit, this hadn't been what he had expected when it blurted out the word tea simply because his brain wasn't working.
