Realistic or Modern Cirque de Monstres

Ignis made it to the tent, but not to rehearsing. No, instead he found a comfortable place to relax in the audience's seats. Watching sleepily as they set up everything for the performances later on and as the others practiced. Nothing more amusing than seeing it all from a new perspective and slacking off.

"No, I have no gossips." He said, rubbing his hands together. "Which is why I always come to you." He went to the middle of the tent, practicing his act.

He held both my hands at chest level, the right hand bursting into and the other is covered in ice and frost. he put both of them together, flame and frost mixing. When he opened them, countless butterflies, made of ice and shimmering in flame, flew from my hands. The were shimmering and they looked like stained glass. They fly in a beautiful pattern. Then he clapped my hand once, all of them exploding into ice flake and spark.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked Samantha, grinning happily.

Samantha

“Yes, yes,” she laughed, rolling her eyes, “You are, as always, simply marvelous.” She grinned back him. She wasn’t being sarcastic, for she meant it. Alekin’s performance was an act to behold, for certain. It was his manner, however, that amused her. He was without a doubt sincerely talented, and she was pretty sure he liked everyone to know. “Show off,” she mumbled in jest, purposely loud enough for him to hear.

Taking a hold of her clipboard once more, she crossed off Alekin’s name. There were still a couple of people she had yet to see this morning on her list, and she needed to make sure they had everything they needed before the night’s opening preparations truly began.

She closed her eyes with a sigh, listening to the pitter-patter of the rain dripping down the side of the massive tent.

“Ignis, when did you get here?” She asked suddenly, just now noticing him in the audience’s seating area.

Atl

Atl was leaning against a blue bike rack, waiting for the Café to open. Cigarette in one hand he took a quick look at the sky. It was dark, still too early for even the Sun to have yet awakened. He smiled. He liked it this way, quiet, dark, with hardly anyone yet on the streets. The party-goes having already gone home for the evening not three hours before… although there was still one drunk man down the street passed out on the concrete. He shook his head and chuckled.

“Ma-Jun, hey!” He heard his name called by a familiar voice and quickly turned his head. He waved as his friend Hyun-woo quickly rode beside him on a bicycle.

But something was wrong. Atl stilled, staring at his friend. Hyun-woo hopped of the bicycle, no longer smiling. His eyes glowed an ethereal blue, and Atl stepped back in confusion. “Why did you do this to me. HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!” Hyun-woo screamed.

Atl awoke with a start.

I bowed, pleased with myself. I heard your side comment, "I am not showing off, I am just simply marvelous." I said, grinning. I saw Ignis as well, " Hey Ig! Why don't you perform for us." I said, trying to sound encouraging.

(I caused so much drama by saving a rabbit. The alert system wasn't working, so sorry for not responding.)

Conner had successfully single handidly set up a cage for the rescued rabbit. 'I'll call you Hopper.' he thought to himself as he set Hopper in the cage. And the little guy proved his name by nearly jumping out of the cage. Shoving the rabbit back in and building the cage up high enogh so Hopper wouldn't jump out, Conner exits his trailer to find out that it had begun to rain. Great, now his stuff is going to get all wet and he won't be able to get a good grip. Luckily, he brought his towel.

"Huh?" Lifting his hat up he looked up to see who was talking to him. He quickly sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. "Oh....not terribly long ago." He smirked. "You would really want to see even a bit of my performance after the one you just did? There's no way I could even compare to that."

Paul decided it was time to check on things. He grabbed an umbrella and made his way to the scene of the missing rabbit. He saw Conner with a caged rabbit. He waited for Conner to come out of his trailer.

"Do you realize the chaos you have caused today?"

He looked at the strong man.

"Nope. And I don't know what you are talking about." Conner said, calmly walking towards the small tent to make sure everything was right and how it should be.

Paul grinned at Conner's comment.

"If you say so."

He walked into the small tent setting his umbrella by the snake tanks. He looked at Anubis.

"Good to see you back to normal."

he turned to a staff member and started talking to a staff member about options for the night if the rain doesn't pass.

Samantha

Sam gave Ignis an encouraging smile, “Come now my sleepy daffodil. We are going to be here a while, it seems. Might as well have some fun!” She took a firm hold of his arm, attempting to pull him up from his seated position.

Atl

Watching the world through bleary eyes, Atl dropped the cigarette he had been holding in his slumber and quickly stomped it out. He leaned forward, placing his head in his hands. Just my luck, he self evaluated, I guess I don’t deserve a restful sleep. He shook for a moment with a light frustration before rightening himself in his chair. Sam was apparently coaxing Ignis to either share some news or perform some trick, no doubt. Sighing, he peered at the tent entrance. At least it didn’t seem to be raining any harder, he supposed.

Luna slept in late. After all, a cat's best trait is it's knack for staying asleep. People swear she could sleep though a stampede of elephants playing trumpets. She snored softly, rolling over. She was deep in a dream when she rolled a bit to far and rolled strait off her bed, her face smacking the floor with a loud thud. "Oww......" She muttered, pealing her slim body off the floor. She sighed, stretching her arms to the sky as she walked towards the bathroom.

Coming out in a tiger t-shirt and some blue jeans, she headed towards the door, stepping outside to head towards the kitchen. She stopped a few feet from the door, taking a whiff of the air. Rain. She smelled rain. Sprinting the few steps, the flung open the door, the raindrops hitting her face. She smiled, then frowned. How were they going to preform with the rain? Her act would probably work, but the others, not so much. She sighed, heading for the kitchen.

Grabbing a quick bite to eat, she went quickly to her friends, giving them all a morning hug and a slab of meat. She smiled at them, and let them out, heading to go train.

Nanami groaned, sitting up inside her trailer. Her white hair fell over her red eyes in a disarray of matted locks. Sighing, she got out of bed, her wings gently unfolding a bit behind her. She was the leader, she was supposed to be the first one up, but that never happened. Sighing, she got up and changed into a long sleeved white t-shirt and some shorts, stretching a few times before walking into her kitchen.

After a good breakfast of some bacon, (Yum!), and eggs, she sighed, slipping on some shoes and walking outside. Feeling the cool drops hit her face, a chill went down her spine, her wings ruffling behind her. Grimly, she almost turned back inside, but she remembered her duties. Cursing under her breath, she walked towards the main tent.

"Ooooh alright." He smiled at the little nickname. "but only because you've twisted my arm." Standing up he feigned shock as his arm came off completely at the shoulder. "Ah! Maybe a little too much! Nothing a little duct tape can't fix, right?"

Luna was out doing warm ups with Rah, Mira, and Vilvet in the rain. Letting out a roar as Rah swiped at her, she smiled and swiped back. The tiger pinned her to the ground gently, licking her face with his tongue. "Rah!" She squealed, her face covered in a mixture of slobber and dirt from the earth beneath her. She giggled, wrestling playfully with him.

"Clever pun." Alekin said, clapping. "That really adds to the entertainment." Alekin saw Luna warming up with her tigers. "Sammy, Ig, I have to get going." He said, heading over to Luna. "Had a good sleep, I assume." He said, smiling at Luna. Alekin had quite a fondness for Luna.

Luna looked behind her, a smudge of dirt covering her cheek. She smiled. "Morning Alekin." She said, rolling over so that Rah was underneath her. "How is your morning going?" She asked, messing with her tiger for a bit longer before standing up and letting him roll back over. He grumbled something under his breath and Luna laughed, turning her attention back to Alekin.

"My morning is now perfect since you are here." Alekin said, scratching Rah's head. "I see that you still prefer to wake up late." He joked. Alekin created a tiger, it's body made of ice and it's fur of fire. The tiger went over to Rah, flirting. "I see that he found a friend." He said, laughing.

Luna chuckled a bit. "I do. I would have slept in later, if I hadn't rolled off the bed and strait onto my face." She said, trying to rub the dirt off her face, only making the smudge larger. She sighed, giving up on it. Rah looked at his friend with curious eyes. He looked up at Luna and grumbled. "What? 2 women aren't enough for you?" She joked.

"Thank you, thank you. Now if only I was bold enough to say that in my act." He gave a slight bow. "Buuut instead I do things more like this." With a snap of his fingers a black smoke appeared and the dismembered limb writhed and coiled into a snake that shone a metallic blue and black. Wrapping itself around Samantha's arm.

Samantha

The Mermaid squealed with delight. “Ignis you beast,” she said affectionately. “Did you see that, Atl?” She asked, noticing the Reaper had awakened. He answered her with a swift nod, closing his eyes again.

“I don’t think he’s slept well recently,” she spoke again to Ignis. “Speaking of which, you seem quite weary yourself. Are you feeling ill?” Samantha’s expression quickly contorted to one of concern. She hoped that Ignis wasn’t getting sick, as it seemed like Nora might have caught something as well.

Alekin chuckled at Luna's comment. "Well, it would appear that 2 is not enough. I just hope that he realizes he can't mate with her." I said, smirking a little. I tried helping you remove the smudge from your face, only to have smudge in my hands. Laughing, I put my hand on my face, making my face as dirty as yours. "Don't take this question in the wrong way, but, have your tigers ever been attracted to you?" I asked, feeling a little awkward.

"Don't worry yourself about me. I'm used to not feeling well....I haven't slept well in in many years and am not exactly the picture of health." He chuckled half-heartedly and tried to wave away the concern. "But like I said, it's nothing new, so I'm just used to it now."

Luna felt his hand try to remove the smudge, only to make his hand dirty. He smiled and made a smudge on his cheek. She smiled back and looked at Rah, who seemed to be warming up to the new tiger. Her ears perked as she heard his question. She flicked her tail behind her, shaking he head. "None of them are attracted to me, they think of me as family." She said.

"Oh, good to hear that then." Alekin said, a little too enthusiastically." He look in your eyes, blushing a little. "So, are you ready for the performance later?" He asked, changing the topic.

Luna smiled at the change of topic. She nodded enthusiastically, smiling brightly. "Rain or shine, I am ready!" She said, her sharp canines in full view with her wide smile. They were always there, along with the tattoo's to remind her. She isn't human, and she never will be. She is dangerous, but that's what makes her exciting.

"Good to hear." He replied. "I'm really looking forward to your performance later." He said, smiling. "Say, aren't you bother by the rain, being a cat and all?" He asked. It was still raining hard outside.
