I really like how you are using 2nd person point of view. It feels a lot like a typical GM or almost an Adventure Novel where you are describing what is happening to our characters or what is happening around our characters. And you aren't using it in a way that takes control from players.

Unless the Battle of Bronsfield is a literal week long battle, I think the battle is going to be resolved before all the other posts are processed.

Well, got another short sweet post up. Overall plan is to try to either bait Sir Cortyn to advance/step in to engage Robert via an early swing from the edge of Sir Cortyn's reach to then actually step into Sir Cortyn's guard and start doing some WWE stuff. OR to make him take steps back to maintain a comfortable range/his advantage with his great sword and hope that he stumbles or trips on the body of Gautham or his horse or some other person's body/horse. Hoping that his brain got whacked hard enough that he isn't in the best state of mind to realize that Robert is trying to bait him with a pre-mature strike.

Personally I think you are way too cautious and allowing your opponent to recover from the concussion. You should just dive in and finish him off while he's still too dazed to defend himself. Strike while the Iron is Hot and opportunity presents itself. Don't waffle about and let him shake off the mace blow. You said it yourself, distance is to your disadvantage. Get inside his range quickly.

picturing the Aldwyn that attacked Cortyn being thrown from his horse onto the Buckley sergeant and just immediately grappling with him is hilarious. "oh, okay, we're fighting ig"

I agree. Only problem is that there's a bunch of stuff in between them atm and a bit of distance. There's at least 4 people of varying levels of life who could potentially shank Robert in the foot even if they can't get up. In additition there's at least 2 dead horses. I don't think a guy in full armor would smoothly navigate all that while in a full sprint. Hence, why Robert elected to go around and not make it his problem, but a potential problem for Sir Cortyn if he steps back.

I would also have just gone in and tried to stab the bastard but cooler heads may prevail. If Cortyn's still on his feet after having been maced, chances are high he still has most of his wits about him. Bro might have bit off his tongue tho. ow
