Yeah it’s rough. Some cases can end careers all because outside noise hyping up players and prospects to the moon instead of taking the ‘Can Do’s’ with the ‘Cannot’s’ and appreciate the talent and what they bring to the table instead of bashing them cause they didn’t live up to other peoples hype and expectations. Sometimes the gems can be found with a player and be better for a team then the expectations they get attached to them. (Andrew Wiggins of the NBA is probably the best case and example of that imo. Can’t think of a baseball/Hockey example at the moment, but yeah.)
But either way, agreed for sure.

It almost seems like end of game scrums are thing these first few games haha. Florida/Buffalo and Montreal/Washington. Just became aware of the latter tonight on YT though it was yesterday’s game.

I think this year might be more realistic with the draft rankings. Might be easier to slip past the top two picks….? I decided to do a couple quick tests to figure out the Arizona taking Montreal’s pick since it was the exact same for me as it was G20. A defenseman with 1 G and 6 A in the memorial cup in 7 games using classic pick settings at all star difficulty ended up with 65 draft ranking. A Forward build modeled after Monahan with authentic pick setting and All star difficulty with 3 A in 4 games results were 133 draft ranking. Authentic seems to be the problem as it went back to Arizona having the top pick over Montreal and they still had the 3rd pick, so idk what’s wrong there and that’s with a active roster update that I didn’t think of first time around. I was hoping it would maybe help with rosters being better and more accurate? Don’t know yet if that changed anything but there you go if interested. Not keeping these test files just wanted to find out some info for myself in this curious situation in BAP.

Hopefully they fix it lol. Some of the gameplay is different too, like poke checks being slower and more limited in reach and recovery time after each attempt. Plus how easy it seemingly is to be taken off balance or lose the puck. Far more physical games then I can ever recall in 22. Puck wise, maybe it’s archtype and puck control related? Guess I’d need to text that in the meantime one way or another. Kinda sucks having Tom Wilson on this Devils team. Jarnkrok is awesome. But the Wilson thing….. Would prefer they trade him in BAP haha. Those are about the only roster differences besides the RL moves involving Zacha, Marino, Vanacek and Haula, etc are not apart of the rosters in BAP for my first playthrough. Instead the guys who were moved on are still there in NJ.

Yeah it seems like it. I don’t know if this year will make roster updates work with BAP or not. Didn’t really wait long enough to find out with those quick tests for the draft pick situation.
Agreed. Hopefully this stuff gets patched and corrected. Some of it should be really easy fixes for gaming companies in this day and age. Especially the roster related deal.

Yeah, it’s disappointing with some of these issues. Non BAP rosters especially after the active roster update check and download look accurate to RL. But yeah, I don’t know if that changes anything for BAP if going through the draft process. Guess I’ll find out soon enough if I do another test or see anything on YT.

It’s just sad to see how much EA doesn’t care. Because assholes will still buy HUT cards (which as you know makes EA most of their money) and make stupid card pack opening videos.

Yeah that’s a lot of sports games anymore. Although 2K has plenty of cash grabs for MYC (Career mode) for the online park and rec players the Myteam side gets a lot of the attention and much money and cash grabs are clearly running rampant over there. Least with MYC you can just grind out builds and not spend money like that. But my team I hear is practically necessary to spend in order to compete with that mode. Sad and frustrating with sports games but companies don’t really care as long as the money keeps flowing in.

Yeah agreed. He was shown on the line with Geekie and Sprong so he’s getting some time tonight atleast, so far not too much but a bit. 1-0 Canes at the moment.
Coyotes I saw beat the Maple Leafs and Toronto booed their own team at home.

Burakovsky with a PPG to make it 2-1 Canes still leading. Grubauer definitely looks better then he did last year, some pretty nice saves and back to back saves. Kraken just getting called for too many penalties so far. Edit: Now 3-1with another quick power play goal
