She did have a boyfriend in the new town she lived in for many years, but since she transfered to this school she had to mutually break up with him because the long-distance relationship just wasn't working out... she still misses him, though.

Asuna's parents weren't both human. Her mother was a magical being, which grants her the abilities she has now. She didn't know she had powers until she was 10. She had turned a flower into something, and was scared that she would do something horribly wrong if she didn't learn how to use her magic. Asuna told her mother about, the flower which surprised her. Asuna was then told by her mother that she too has magical powers and that she wasn't a human also. There was this kid who was bullying this little boy... and he was pushing him around then punch him in the guts. I got mad and.... took out my gun and shot the bully. I know it was wrong of me to do that but my anger took over before I could stop myself. Everyone in the town stared at me in horror before screaming and saying I was a killer. My parents they...they tried to protect me as best they could but the towns people killed them both for having a monster of a child. So I ran. I ran until I found someone who could take me in and take care of me until I was old enough to live by myself. I've never been to school before so I thought now would be a good chance as any to start... Know one knows me or what I did and I wanted I fresh start. That's why I'm here."
