"Okay then, that's good, I like you," Miori said quickly, tapping his glasses and awaiting her surprised reply.

Mei froze, her tail going stiff.

Miori went wide-eyed. "Oh crap, did I say that out loud?" he asked, slapping his forehead.

Mei nodded, slowly sitting up.

"Well damnit. Now my secret is out," Miori said, continuing to tap his glasses.

Mei slowly got off the couch and walked into her room.

Miori laid down on the couch and sighed that he actually said that. Wonder if she feels the same, he wondered.

Mei shut the door to her room, biting her bottom lip.

Miori fell asleep with the same thought in his mind, Does she like me?

Mei sat inside her room, thinking.

Miori woke up, landing with a thump on the ground. He groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes.

Mei poked her head out the door. "You ok?"

"I'm fine," Miori said, tapping the table and still kind of weirded out. "Do you like me?" he blurted out.

Mei blushed and slowly slunk back inside her room.

"Answer me!" Miori shouted, biting his lower lip and kind of wondered why he blurted it out.

Mei mumbled something from inside her room.

"What? I couldn't hear you!" Miori shouted again, continuing to tap the table.

"Speak up!" Miori shouted again, getting up onto the couch.

Mei slunk back into her room, her face red.

"Guess we'll never know," Miori said, walking into the kitchen and grabbing an apple, washing it.

Mei sat back on her bed and crawled inside, rolling in the covers.

Miori threw away the core of the apple and walked to his room, keeping the door open and lying down, falling asleep.

Mei rolled over and wondered when she was going to tell him.

Miori woke up and blinked, getting some clothes and going to take a shower.
