Yeah, still here! I just didn’t want to post so soon after my last one in case anyone else wanted to go.

Lost Lost

Go ahead and post again. After you do, I'll launch into the brief so we can get the mission going. Doesn't have to be long one

Glad to see everyone here

A few hints:
  • The library will unlock information in the LORE section through locations, history, and also allow your character to learn some new moves (TM/Move Tutor). If you don't know about it, it won't be learned beforehand unless one visits the library
  • Think carefully about what you have your character say and do. Lost not mentioning that Soren cleaned himself was only a small example of the exploitation that will be used later on in the RP. No god-modding, of course, but definitely some exploitation that may cause some damage, status conditions, or things that can ruin stuff like stealth

Looking forward to the battle between Mao and Soren if it happens

Avery is still gonna be taking a logistics role since he's done a lot of admin work. Since I'm the GM, Avery leading the mission wouldn't seem right to me. As stated in the post, since he wants to be part of Sunlight Support, he will be more of an indications and warnings role, as well as the one in charge of research

I'll wait for the battle to finish before I make my next post! Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

Kylesar1 Kylesar1 How does soul eating work in this?

When you look in the lore, you see a lot of things about ghosts taking souls. In the case of Pokemon like Drifloon and Drifblim, their body is filled with souls. The assumption I'm making is that they eat them. Otherwise, how else are they getting them in their body

  • Drifloon and Drifblim- Bodies filled with souls
  • Spiritomb- Body made of souls
  • Litwick- Feeds off the life force of those it leads, fueling its flames
  • Lampent- Hangs by hospitals awaiting those to die
  • Chandelure- Flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind
  • Phantump- Spirit of a child possessing a tree stump
  • Pumpkaboo- Carries wandering spirits to where they belong (presumably carrying them IN their body.)
  • Sandygast- A spirit possessing a sand castle
  • Marowak (A)- Transformed the spirit of its dearly departed mother to a cursed flame that no amount of water can extinguish
  • Shedinja- Peering into the hole in its shell may steal your spirit away
  • Froslass- A woman lost in snowy mountains reborn
  • Gastly- It's said that gas emanating from a graveyard was possessed by the grievances of the deceased and thus became a Pokémon.
  • Haunter- Steals souls by licking the victim
  • Gengar (Mega)- It's body leads directly to the afterlife. This means either the Distortion World or The Ghost World

Also you see things like Will-O-Wisp being usable by most if not all ghost type. The assumption here is that the Will-O-Wisp is a spirit flame. The other term is ghost light, but since ghosts are spirits and the light takes the form of a flame, it's a spirit flame. Popular mythology and occult lore has this explanation and that is undoubtedly the origin of the move.

You get the point. When a Pokemon dies, it releases a soul and ghosts eat these souls to grow stronger. This is why evil ghosts may grow strong fast (more on that later on), by killing Pokemon and eating their souls. It could stand to reason that, as a ghost grows stronger without eating souls, that they would get very hungry very fast. Their body is growing, yet there is literally nothing there to fill it

Essentially, either kill a Pokemon and eat their soul, hurt a ghost type and take the souls that come out of their body, or find wandering souls, usually in the form of Will-O-Wisps or something of the like floating about during the night

Kylesar1 Kylesar1 Who has the book that Luka passed around? Is it Avery, or is it possible that Turmy or someone else is holding on to it? Or did Luka take it back?

Someone still has it. Since it wasn't specified, it can be claimed by anyone at the moment. It's the book on some things in the Sea Temple, which, when read, will have me write up some Lore on it

Alright, I'll claim it!

If you want to join the party on the mission, you'll need to catch someone in transit to another location. Avery is about to head to the Square again so he can buy what he needs, and then to the library, then to go see the leader of Sunlight Support (see the LORE section)

You can catch him at any of those locations. If you're interested in catching him at either of those locations, you can tell me before I make my post.

I can't speak for anyone else, but you can catch the whole group when they reconvene or when they're about to leave the town.

Belle is a Blissey, the leader of Sunlight Support's Medic Team. It's a naming issue. Belle was her initial name, but I changed it to Rachel, yet forgot I changed it and called her Belle in the IC.

So a Blissey and the Leader of the SS Medic Team. When I get up my next post, I'll have control of her for that healing

You can join Avery, who's heading to the library. That is, unless you have other plans for Zero at the moment

It's fairly easy. However, Hirano doesn't even know where she is right now, it seems

I know how to tiptoe around giving away classified information until she's officially onboard (which is subject to either Soren or Luca's approval), but in the interest of conversation, Hirano doesn't seem completely sane to Avery at the moment.

P PopcornPie how do you want to insert Hirano into the party? Also, I'm wondering why Hirano doesn't know about the guild while it is an essential institute in Casim, is this intentional?

Intentional indeed.

And she could just tag around with the party before deciding "you know what? I like these people, imma become an official member of the team"
