There is no feeling more beautiful than being prodded hard in the back by a girl almost a whole foot taller than you. Brie almost completely lost her footing as she put out her hands to stop herself colliding with the person in front of her. Jeers and laughs came from behind her.

'Jeez, what the fuck is your problem?' she turned to the burly girl with mean beady eyes. Roxette Brash, daughter of Ares, who loved to torment her at any opportunity. That was about as brave as she could get once faced with the warrior girl because the look in her eyes was dangerous.

'Still as useless as ever, huh? Pathetic little...'

Brie had been waiting for the big insult, but it never came. The Ares' girl's gaze had flicked almost imperceptibly over to a bunch of girls giggling loudly and she'd seemed to have forgotten all about the red head. Phew, that was close. Or not, since she gave her one last shove for posterity and Brie knocked right into a tall boy slightly older than her with the most beautiful blonde curls, blue eyes and insane jawline.

Oh no! Not...

'Hey Westley,' some pretty Aphrodite girls were vying for his attention, but of course being crashed into alerted him to Brie's presence. He turned to her with that devastating smile, sunnier than his father's chariot.

'Oh, it's you, Brie. I thought it might've been Roxie. You okay?' His deep blue eyes looked so kind. This could not be happening: Westley Knight was talking to her and he knew her name!

Brie's mouth suddenly became very dry and she blinked rapidly, trying to think of words to say.

'You....hot, um...worms! Worms are really c-cool'

Worms? Really? She panicked at the puzzled look on his face and as she did so, felt no more ground beneath her feet. She was quickly rising higher off the ground. Oh no! Her wings. The girl felt an awful nauseous feeling in her stomach as she rose higher and higher.

'Oooooh! Oh shit, no!' She squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself to fly back down with her golden wings, but higher and higher she got until...

Zoom! She was suddenly pulled in a random direction and found herself suspended upside down as she flew at breakneck speed. She did not dare open her eyes as she screamed for dear life, cursing profoundly in Ancient Greek.

'Oh gods, stop, STOP!'

Crash! She landed unceremoniously in a heap on the ground near a guy she recognised from Aphrodite, her face pale from abject terror and feeling as though she might throw up.

'Damien De Luca' the ominous boy introduced with more than a trace of an Italian accent. For reasons unknown to her, it took Callie wholly by surprise to hear such a light and airy sound coming from this spectre-like person. It was so paradoxically musical. The same way his aura of danger seemed to lift upon further inspection. He was-it almost pained her to admit-rather handsome.

It didn't seem Auguste would be making this any less awkward. He sounded unusually hostile, even by his usual standards.

'Where do we go if we're new?' Damien asked. Finally, something she could use as a distraction. Her muscles seemed to unravel tension she had not even been aware of. Even more so at the sight of...Celaena Saria's hellhound? Since when had she been a comforting sight?

The hound's eyes were fixed intently on the Italian. Callie's own green ones shifted quickly between the pair and the feeling of dread returned, if only fleetingly.

Was he a child of...

'Oh, for the love of....SARIEL!'

Celaena approached them, looking a little flustered. 'I am so sorry, Callie. I don't know what her issue is today.'
'Oh, it's okay, really! She's just curious I guess,'
Callie offered a reassuring smile and as she did, she was quite struck by her eyes. It was almost like looking at Damien, but she didn't dare cast another glance at him for fear of looking weird.

'New campers need to go to the Big House. I can take you there.' She decided that ignoring her uneasiness was the best thing to do. She was just a little off-kilter from not sleeping so great.

'Thanks again for the apple, Auguste!' she added to her brother with a sunny smile as she began heading toward the Big House. Damien could follow if he wanted, but she needed to talk to Chiron either way. There'd already been one unusually powerful demigod that had turned up last night. Callie suspected Damien was similar.

Seraphine Valentine
Daughter of Aphrodite
The arts and crafts centre was said to be a second home to children of Athena, and even though Seraphine was Aphrodite’s daughter in every way, it was like a second home to her too. She loved maintaining aesthetics and looking as good as she could at all times, so making clothing had become one of her biggest hobbies since arriving at the camp three years ago. She'd even been frequenting the forge "on business" recently, but most mornings, she could be found with a sewing needle in hand, carefully marrying together beautiful fabrics to make even more beautiful garments.

That morning, Seraphine was in the arts and crafts centre pattern-making for a new project, occasionally getting distracted and lost in conversation with some of her friends from cabins 6 and 7. After a while, she decided to head to the pavilion, but on the way out, she almost tripped right over a bouquet of flowers that had, quite thoughtlessly, been left right outside the door in the centre of the walkway. "Who'd leave flowers in such an odd place?" she thought aloud, scanning her surroundings to try and find the culprit. Looking back down at the bouquet, she saw a folded-up note resting on top of it with the first four letters of her name scribbled messily in ink. Frowning slightly, after a moment of hesitance, she picked up the note and opened it, beginning to read the contents.

"Sera, sweetheart. I know what you told me last summer, but..."

Before she finished the sentence, she quickly closed the letter and let out a disappointed sigh. She knew exactly who it was from. Seraphine thought she had made it pretty clear to the son of Dionysus, Jayce, that she wasn't interested in being anything more than friends with him. She had, politely yet firmly, turned down his feelings the last time they'd seen each other just under a year ago. Despite being notorious for her bold and playfully flirty personality, Seraphine had been very particular about not giving Jayce the wrong impression. He was handsome, skilled at combat, and a common subject of whispers among girls and guys in the Aphrodite cabin, but Seraphine just simply wasn't interested in him—which was something he obviously couldn't seem to understand.

Still, it didn't mean that the poor peonies had to go to waste, so she finally picked them up and sorted their petals a little while pouting. She scoured the place for five whole minutes in search of a vase or pot of some sort, but was ultimately unsuccessful. When she finally did find a fitting container, it was a tall glass on an occupied table that was already being used for paintbrush cleaning. She bit her lip in frustration before approaching the girl at the table, who eventually agreed to hand the glass over under one condition: that Seraphine would, at some point soon, use her divine empathy to tell the girl how her crush really felt about her. "You really can't just ask him directly? Like, really?" she tried to suggest... but to no avail. The girl wouldn't hand it over without making the deal.

Seraphine was desperate to be done with the situation so she could go on about her day, wanting to forget about Jayce until the next time she'd see him and have to reiterate her feelings or lack thereof. She hesitantly agreed to help the girl out later on, not forgetting to make it very clear that she refused to go as far as manipulating him with amokinesis. That much, she wouldn't do—not for something as little as this, anyway.

After changing the water and putting the flowers in the glass, with a slight look of resignation on her usually smiling face, Seraphine carried the peonies out of the arts and crafts centre.

Nyx

Being the daughter of Aphrodite downright sucks! She was not only expected to be beautiful and attention-getting, but also vain and self-absorbed. She vowed the moment she entered the Aphrodite cabin not to be like the rest of her so-called siblings. She wasn't even into cosemetics at all, and she especially hated nail polish (but that was more of a her thing then any particular slight against aphrodite). As for right now, she was off to the side, reading a book, just watching the other people going about their lives. She was fine not talking to anyone even though it can be quite lonely.

She was midway through her book when she heard a shrill scream coming from the Aphrodite cabin, and someone pulling out what appeared to be a giant centipede?! Wow, the Aphrodite cabin must have really pissed someone off. Luckily she wasn't hanging around there, though to be fair, it would take more than just a centipede to scare her.

She chuckled to herself and flipped a page in her book. Prefering the pages to real life as she walked into the forest.

When Bryce had suggested that Celaena go and talk to the mysterious newcomer, he had not expected it to happen. After all, Cel was almost as antisocial as he was. He'd heard she'd been dubbed 'Ice Queen.' It seemed, however, that the choice was made for her when Sariel bounded over to the small crowd of campers.

He did not greet goodbye with words, only lifted a vague hand. He had made his obligatory appearance for the day, so now he would return to the forest to practice with The Mist.

On the way there he came across a shock of familiar red hair. A girl by the name of Nyx who also liked to frequent the forest. He'd never thought to ask what cabin she lived in: It made no difference to him, but she was tolerable. Quiet, sensible.

'Getting away from the first day back madness too?' he said simply, eyeing the book in her hand with curiosity. He then continued on into the trees. If she wanted a conversation, she'd reply, or else she would pretend not to hear him. He knew the drill.

Bashi Ravern

The thing about Bashi is, they are trouble. At times they can be mellow, even serious and human-like. But at their core, they do enjoy a prank or two. It would be wrong to call them amoral, because that isn't always true. Do they get close though? Yes. So when Ilya asks "Get into any trouble?", Bashi looks at him with a slightly incredulous look. Almost as if to say: 'Ilya, you know me.'

Then, Bashi shakes his head with a 'that was a stupid question' smile. It's at that moment that screams float from the Aphrodite cabin, and Bashi, with his borderline amorality, thinks about that for a split second. He looks back to Ilya and nods his head in that direction. Saying without words: 'See? What did I tell you?'. Even though Bashi knows that they didn't take any part in the prank that's been played. But if Ilya ever finds out, they'll simply deny it with a well placed 'I never said that.' Because they didn't. They never said anything. They never say anything. At least, not on the first day of Camp.

Nyx was actually finishing the book when someone asked her about, "getting away from the first day madness!" She looked up and saw the dark-haired and painfully handsome hunk of a man, Bryce staring down at her book before going off into the trees.

"Um yes, actually," she stammered, feeling her bashfullness threaten to overcome it. She swallowed it, shut her book and ran to Bryce, "someone let loose a giant centipede in the Aphrodite cabin!" She said a little too quickly, avoiding eye contact. It was easier this way, it was hard to talk when you were looking at someone. She also didn't want him to know she was one of Aphrodite's kids. Due to their.... reputation.

After a few minutes, she fell quiet. Waiting for Byrce to talk back while trying to keep herself from blushing at being so close to someone that.... beautiful. Damnit, I just had to be attracted to everyone!

Aster's Eulogy.

A star has died, the brightest burn the fastest, and all that remains is silence

SCENE ONE.

Godliness is not found at the sacrificial alter, with the beating hearts of virgins and the blood of a goat, but is found when the pulsing rhythms of a crowd fall away, and for a moment you can feel the connection between one and another.

Anyways, Graham was currently chasing a rabbit through the woods.

He’d wanted to take a picture of it, the soft curves of its back, the gentle points of its ears. And then it had scampered off.

One of the first rules of hiking was to keep off trailing to a minimum which he was willfully ignoring as he crashed through the woods with the grace of a steamroller. That was when he saw a shimmering barrier, a soft touch as it rippled, letting him pass through with the most minimal effort.

Okay, what the everloving feck was that.

He poked and prodded at the barrier, stepping in and out as he stared upwards, trying to find where it ended and the sky began. Was it a dome?

Huh. Well! That was weird!

Graham looked around, unaware of the green aura that was slowly glowing around him as an illusion of the broad antlers of a stag took form, his eyes beginning to glow a monstrous green as flowers and verdant grass sprouted at every step he took

A seemingly monstrous beast from the woods, he continued to marvel at the trees and - oh fecking shite did that kid have a sword

Was that kid pointing a motherfecking sword at HIM?!?!

He took a stumble back and immediately tripped on a root that had sprout up as the woods seemed to have followed his every movement as the kid seemed to realize he was pointing a sword at a fucking idiot. “Woah woah woah, I’m friendly- I'm just a-”

He saw something green reflected in the blade that was aimed at his head, the distorted reflection of a green aura and the hazy smoke illusion of antlers sprouting from his head.

“... oh feck is that me?!”

So apparently that meant he’d been “claimed” by a god. A Greek god… Not that he’d particularly mind being claimed by a god; but hey hey, consent was important was it not. A big book of the stories that Graham himself had referenced many times in his drabbles pulled out and dumped on a desk as they scrambled to figure out WHICH god this was.

A finger jabbed down at a god sealed his fate: Pan.

“Wait, you mean that I'm the son of… the god Christians point to primarily as the goat headed Satan worshiping devil.” Graham had asked flatly as he stared incredulously. A hand reached up and began trying to brush away shimmering antlers as if they could go away like swatting a fly. There was a very loud and very annoyed sigh from the camp counselor, as if that had been a very stupid question to ask.

“Oi, I have very important questions to ask. Wait are you calling me a sex god-”

The mirth was audible in his voice as he pretended to push a strand of hair behind his ear, the misty antler losing its shape as he went “Oh my God are you flirting with me?”

So that's how he was kicked out of the Big House as he was sent to the Hermes Cabin in a bluster of reddened cheeks and flustered sputtering.

Totally worth it.

He claimed a bunk and then exited to look around the camp, chewing on his lip. As much fun as it was to tease, he did actually need to know what the feck was going on. So he was a lovely woman exiting an area holding peonies and bounded up to her in an excitable fashion.

A cheery wave of vacant stupidity, joyous simpleton of a smile given to the other woman in the tent. Warm hand extended, halo of red curls.

“Nice t’ meet ya love. I’m Graham…”

A small pause. “Between you and me, what the feck is going on here, I’m confused.”

    Annoyed, yet nonchalant as usual

“You focus too much on bloodlines like every single other person in this fucking camp.”

Aurelian's words hit Dreavyn like a sudden jolt, freezing him in his steps. The impact of the statement echoed in his mind, amplifying the sound of Aurelian's footsteps. A wave of shame engulfed him, leaving him questioning whether he could truly feel embarrassment from a mere reprimand by Aurelian. It wasn't just a scolding; to Dreavyn, it felt like a long-overdue reality check. The last time he experienced such a rare occurrence was since his arrival at Camp Half-Blood 13 years ago.

As Laura wheeled past him, expressing her clear satisfaction with the success of her scheme, Dreavyn should have been infuriated. However, he's learned not to let others manipulate him, and the realization that he, of all people, appeared vulnerable, particularly in front of Aurelian, was truly embarrassing.

Residing in this wretched camp has caused him to lose his edge...made him soft, and he's well aware of it – the idea definitelt infuriates him. He anticipated this outcome when he agreed to Chiron's persistent requests to come back to the camp and take on the role of Head Counselor.

"Nice one with that, it wont happen again."

Dreavyn effortlessly lifted the Adamantine alloy with a simple gesture, uttered a single Latin incantation, and the metal, now magically cooled, erupted in a burst of blue energy before vanishing. Afterward, he left the Forge, heading to the Hecate Cabin to tidy up and change into proper attire.

Dreavyn emerged from his cabin, scanning the vast camp for his elusive brother. Frustration built as he realized Bryce might be in the forest (and that was already irritating when he was trying to find him) or, more vexingly, with the quirky 'Ice Queen' he often associated with. Like...really, Ice Queen, how frightening, he could feel his legs quiver (sarcasm btw). Dreavyn found it hard to comprehend Bryce's unconventional choice of...friends.

Disregarding the thoughts, he focused on honing his mystic senses—an actually ability if you must know. Trained mystics can really sense magically induced phenomena, and detecting magical emissions from other Children of Hecate is one example.

He easily identified his whereabouts since Bryce and he were the sole potent magic users capable of producing such strong bursts of magical energy.

"Ianuae."

A shallow murmur of the Latin word activated the the pre-prepared teleportation spell he had woven. Tapping into the surrounding energies, he seamlessly vanished. In a spectacular manifestation of arcane forces, he materialized a short distance from Bryce, emerald and dark purple energy crackling around him. As he approached with a solemn expression, he swiftly observed the red-haired demigoddess engaged in conversation with Bryce.

Dreavyn observed a noticeable fluster in her demeanor while conversing with him, leading him to speculate that the redhead harbored an interest in Bryce. Amused, he chuckled to himself and shifted his attention to Bryce, Dreavyn would approach them a little more closely.

"I see your busy talking to your friend, something...happened, but I'll tell you when your...unavailable."

Dreavyn glanced at the red-headed person with confusion in his comment, then refocused on Bryce.

By now, it had become customary to vent about any fuck-ups to Bryce, but this particular one had a noticeable impact on him, unlike the previous ones.

After a while, several ravens and crows gradually gathered around the nearby trees. This was an unintentional effect but it started happening recently and Dreavyn guessed it might be his mother's sacred animals are feeling drawn to him from his extreme resemblance to his mother.

Either way it was annoying to him but he got used to it by now and often forget they crowd near him.

Due to the sleeveless top he wore, his exposed arms showcased his warping tattoos on both forearms. The appearance was a mix of awe-inspiring and eerie, yet Dreavyn couldn't deny finding it impressive as well.

Seraphine Valentine
Daughter of Aphrodite
Fiery red curls under shimmering antlers caught Seraphine's attention as the new and handsome face stood much taller in front of her. The first thing she noticed about the man, true to her nature, was how good-looking he was, her eyes taking a moment to scan his broad shoulders and muscular arms. The antlers above his head, which soon dissipated, were an afterthought. Seraphine only realised the man had said something to her a moment later when her brain replayed the words that left his lips while she'd been distracted.

Was he.. Irish?

A wonderfully familiar sound. Seraphine was born in Ireland and lived there with her dad for the first seven years of her life; she hadn't met another Irishman since relocating eleven years ago. The redhead's accent was warm and comforting, like being wrapped in a blanket by the fire on the coldest day of winter—only here it was summer, and instead of a blanket, it was the way the stranger that stood in front of her spoke. "Seraphine," she responded, the delicate Irish twang in her accent now mostly hidden and Americanized.

She reached a hand out and shook the man's larger one, the corners of her lips curling upwards into a smile. Seemingly lost, it appeared that Graham had only recently stumbled upon the camp, so the multitude of unrelated things that Seraphine wanted to ask him could wait for now. "You just got here or something?" she asked the man, her curiosity evident in the way she tilted her head as her green eyes gazed directly into his. If the man genuinely didn't know what was going on at all, it was possible that he hadn't known about gods and demigods up until that very hour.

Just as one man had already trumped her morning, as if Lady Luck were on her side, it seemed that another far more interesting one was about to make the morning a lot better. Only a moment before, she had been wishing to cast the son of Dionysus out of her mind, and now, despite still holding his peonies, he was but a distant memory, buried in the forgotten depths of Seraphine's mind.

"Well, Graham.. How much do you know?" She asked the man, attempting to gauge whether he was going to be slightly confused or extremely confused by her answer. As she anticipated his response, her eyes still never left his. She knew as soon as the other campers laid eyes on him he'd be more popular than most of the other guys, yet his looks surprisingly weren't the reason she was curious about him. It was a combination of always having longed for more ties to her homeland and just wanting to help the poor guy out. Whatever the situation was, she was glad that he approached her.

‘Um, actually yes.’ The girl replied. Apparently she was in a social mood. She even caught up with him. ‘Someone let loose a giant centipede in the Aphrodite cabin!’ The flicker of a smile crossed his features. With all the magic he practiced in the woods in the anticipation of monster attacks and quests, it was easy to forget this was a summer camp full of dumb kids.

‘I bet that was fun for them. Centipedes are known for their beauty.’ He said. It was then that his senses were drawn a little further away. Magic pulsed through the air, imperceptible to all but himself. Dreavyn was here.

Sure enough, he approached; most likely an intimidating sight to the redhead.

The faint smile faded from Bryces face, leaving a stony mask. Drea was troubled. He could see it in his expression.

’I see your busy talking to your friend, something...happened, but I'll tell you when you’re...available.’

Suspicion confirmed. He was definitely miffed about something. Bryce wanted to know. To help. Now wasn’t a great time though. Instead of asking directly, Bryce tried a more subtle tactic that he hoped his brother understood. He would ask if it was a magical issue. If he said yes, then Bryce would know it wasn’t. Drea had always been the better mage.

’Magic?’

Not that he really ever expected talking, per say, but more the gentle catching up of friends as he configured the bird skeleton into shape.

Piercing screams through the air, and Ilya winced a little. No, he was never the type of person to delight in the misery of others. He was too mild for that — well, maybe he dipped his hands a little bit more in schadenfreude than anybody would be willing to admit, but that was a closely held secret.

LOOKATTHEFUGGINUGLYGETITAWAYYYYYYY

Cried the Aphrodite kids, shrill enough to cause dogs to bark and birds to fly away.

He gave Bashi something that could best be described as the disappointed stare of a father as a girl ran shrieking past the cabin. Though, it’s noteworthy that he didn’t actually move to help them out. He knew the camp’s social network, knew that a lot of the time the Aphrodite Cabin tore people down in order to feel better about themselves. A shame, truly, but culture-enforced shallowness was the new thing.

Ilya himself had been subjected to one or two Aphrodite crushes, though he suspected it something very similar to the people who had particularly bad daddy issues, but for the most part had heard the disparaging remarks about his increasingly rundown and homely appearance.

Well, not that he could really do anything about it.

Conspiratorially, he leaned down, careful not to touch Bashi in the slightest, and whispered very quietly. “Did they deserve it.”

A pause.

And then he offered Bashi a low-five underneath the table, the tiniest glimmer of life returning to dead eyes. Well, it wasn't him doing the harm, now was it? Oh no, how terrible, he was all the way over here and the bug was allll the way over there. What a shame he couldn't fix that for them.

“Nice.”

Lily Newmark - Loud and Clear Voices

Just my luck, every time I talk, there's always someone else interrupting and talking in turn. She felt her voice catch in her throat as she looked from the man (yet another hunk of a man, seriously is everyone here on YA novel juice! At least being Aphrodite's kid gave her a reason to have such --- Damnit, there she goes again!) to Bryce. Without a word, she stepped back, not actually wanting to interrupt. She also noticed a lot of um, ravens gathering around them. An unusual amount. They were cawing something fierce. A entire nightmare of ravens just cawing and cawing.

Caw, caw, caw, caw, caw, caw, caw! CAW CAW CAW! A lot of caws.

She wondered vaguely where all these ravens even came from, and what drew them here, but she figured it was half-blood shenganians. At least she hoped...

Dreavyn noticed a clear change in Bryce's demeanor when he informed him of a specific issue. Yet, confusion clouded Bryce's gaze as Drea observed Bryce's mind working like a mechanical machine twisting and turning its cogs and screws, admiring his brother's serenity that made him a quick learner and wiser despite being a year younger. Dreavyn still regards Bryce as the wiser one.

"No..."

Upon Bryce's inquiry, Dreavyn answered while somberly shaking his head, observing Bryce attempting to discern the nature of his concern. It wasn't exactly a problem but rather an unexpected happenstance that greatly unsettled him, a rarity in his experiences.

As he shifted his focus to the redhead, he observed her awareness of the gathering of ravens and crows nearby and around them. Understanding the annoyance, he promptly silenced them.

"Hush!"

His voice, loud and commanding, carried far, echoing through the air. The trees and wind seemed to become still as the ravens and crows suddenly silenced their constant cawing. They stood still as if they were transmutated into stone, their movements still as the air itself but their sharp gazes remained unwavering.

Dreavyn believed it was the least he could do before shifting his attention to the two individuals ahead of him.

So, Drea's problem, was not magical. Bryce knew his brother to be less even-tempered than was reasonable. Had he gotten into another pointless argument? Never mind, he would ask him later and perhaps tell him about the odd dream he had had in the forest last night.

The young son of Hecate had barely noticed the cawing of the ravens and crows (symbols of his dear mother), until Dreavyn silenced them and they fell almost deadly still. The redhead, Nyx had also backed away from the pair, though he got the impression it was somewhat reluctant...

What was it people were supposed to do in these sorts of situations? Oh, yeah.

'Sorry about the birds. It's a Hecate thing.' He had never had need to mention his parentage to Nyx before, since they had barely spoken on previous occasions and he had no love for his mother. 'This is Dreavyn. Dreavyn, this is Nyx, daughter of...' He paused, realising he had no idea.

"Thanks!" she said to the other man as he silenced the crows. So it was a half-blood thing, thank the gods! Then, Bryce introduced the man in question, Dreavyn and, much to her terror, asked who her mother was.

"I....." She stammered pathetically, "I'm ...." Then, realizing it would be rude not to indulge who her mother was, said rather slowly and quietly.

"I'm Aphrodite's...."

She closed her eyes shut, not wanting to see the judgmental glares and blatant accusations on her characters. She wasn't a vain and flirty person! She wasn't! Of course any idiot could see that but that didn't stop people from assuming!

MATHEW "MATIE" DIRE

Matie stared at the cell phone in her hand, the newfangled piece of tech still baffled her even three years later after her schict in the Lotus Casino, missing out on a huge chunk of her life. No need to dwell on the past, she thought, putting the wireless recactular screen "phone" in her pocket . She spent most of the days lounging in the plaza, near the Big House. Forever being unclaimed. Though she suspected she was Herme's child with her ability to fly, an ability that she rarely ever used due to a small but trivial fear of heights. Also the orange t-shirt all the kids wore was kind of tacky but she supposed it was a camp so having a colorful camp t-shirt was a must. Of course, she didn't expect to spend most of her time in a camp of all places. Then again, she also didn't expect to be in the bloody future with all this weird lingo and even weirder tech. What the hell does cap no cap even mean? That's just ... not rad? Was rad even a word now? Considering the looks on these kid's faces every time she said her lingo, she thought not. Will you stop dwelling on it?

Vi moved between the people, half here and half mist as she squeezed through tiny gaps between people and sometimes relived people of possessions that would soon enough be missed. She would be scattering these little trinkets soon enough to cause a little chaos. While some might trace in back to her, few sought retribution against her. Those that so supposedly wronged were more often than not talked down by others with ideas that she had already planned for them to come after her. Those that did come were a bit to bull headed to think straight and a little quick thinking would cause a brawl she could escape into. It was her nature and Vi had no intention of not stirring up more trouble after all what was camp without chaos? There were only so many months for her to play with other half bloods as normal mortals were just far to easy to deal with or were ignorant to her tricks thanks to the mist.

Now then the question was who to start dumping her ill gotten gains on and which cabins to mess with first. there were so many options to create trouble and the simplest was to keep it inside a cabin. Take someone's lucky charm plant it on another and perhaps provide a nudge and a screaming match could start. Do the same but with another cabin as the recipient and if they weren't thinking straight a fight might break out and it might escalate. So who was most likely to not instantly see through a little act of good will? Vi moved around looking about until she came upon a target, though the drama would have to be intercabin, her target was in the same same cabin after all.

Vi moved up to her or rather glided on mist shrouded legs towards the girl, the cabin's fish out of water. Vi had heard the tale a poor little half blood that had gotten trapped in that infamous casino. Vi did wonder how many other half bloods might be locked with in it's walls. It was to bad those lotus eaters didn't really seem keen on sharing their secrets, Vi could cause so much fun with whatever powers they put into the games that kept people enthralled.

" My my if it isn't everyone's favorite fish out of temporal waters " Via said a big smile painted on her face as she moved in close pretty much resting her head on the other half blood's shoulder before gliding away and becoming fully solid " Still having trouble with the kids these days they still on your lawn?" Vi teased with a giggle " Perhaps a present will make you feel better?" she almost purred her cat like habits rather well known along with her preference to take that form when not playing human.

Matie stared Vi down, not taking kindly to the "still on your lawn" comment. Oh how quickly her predictament swelled to the kids in this camp. They all knew that she was from 1988 due to the infamous Lotus Casino incident. But she also knew of this person's reputation and even so, her snide remark did not garner enough well, trust in her gift, besides she didn't need a gift to feel better. She had cigerattes for that. But she will give it a whirl.

"Depends," she said, ignoring the kids on your lawn comment, completely unoriginal as it was, "what type of gift are you planning on giving me?" She eyed the cat-girl, feeling that she was even more out of place than she was but didn't bother saying anything!

the son of magic.

"Yeah, and for some fucking reason they're more inclined to follow me than Bryce."

He followed the statement Bryce made regarding the corvidae nearby. Dreavyn doesn't really understand the cause of them; he hypothesized its probably his mother watching him but he shoved that thought deep in his mind, not even giving a chance to entertain such an idea. It only intensified his existing hatred for her, a feeling Bryce too shared.

While Bryce introduced his brother and the red-headed girl named Nyx, Dreavyn couldn't help but observe her. It was evident she wasn't sociable, a trait Bryce might have overlooked since he wasn't particularly perceptive in social situations, which he had Dreavyn for.

She was beautiful but in a very unique way, and when Bryce asked about her divine heritage, her response raised additional inquiries. Clearly, she embodied a distinct aspect of being a child of Aphrodite; her avoidance of eye contact and slouched shoulders indicated a lack of self-esteem, something Drea could relate to.

He, however, found her clear display of vulnerability irritating; one might say Aurelian was rubbing up on him. When she revealed her mother was Aphrodite, he could easily perceive the embarrassment in her, and her entire body language seemed as if she was waiting for some ridicule of some kind.

The camp wasn't suited for the faint-hearted; he could see that if she kept up that kind of mindset, she was going to end up dead, fast. His countenance shifted from curiosity to a visibly grim expression, arms crossed.

"Nice to meet you Nyx, and no, we dont care who your godly parent is or whatever stereotype people tend to place you because of them."

Standing at a 6’3, and very clearly a rather brawny person, it would’ve been very easy to mistake Graham for someone who had the ability to actually be intimidating.

His smile was that of a golden retriever, and there was a certain blankness to his eyes which spoke more of a simple mindlessness rather than any cohesive thought.

“Seraphine. You just got here or something?” Oh! Another Na hÉireannaigh? He almost slid back into his Gaelic at the sound, though perhaps his accent did get the smallest bit thicker, the brogue coming in slowly before he could stop it.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Purred softness, he had the incredible ability to make everything he said sound just a little bit flirty… He also kissed the back of her hand so maybe he was actually flirting, his calloused hands warm and steady. “Does it show too much?”

There was a gleam in his eyes that seemed to say that he knew EXACTLY what he was doing when flirting.

"Well, Graham.. How much do you know?"

“Well, I know I've been claimed by… Pan, but not the type that fries.” The way he said it sounded vaguely like he had asked that almost immediately upon learning.

“And ehm…” A vague hand gesture. “Yep, that’s pretty much it! I thought I was the son of a teacher, not a fecking GOD”

At least he seemed fairly good humored about the entire thing, taking it under the chin.

SCENE ONE.

Another person added to the growing gaggle of teenagers made the giant withdraw even more into himself, from being able to spit out a couple of words at a time to just absolute silence.

Looming threat of death, though the Hades kids were usually much more accepting of such oddities than the Apollo ones who seemed… discomforted by his size and reaper-like appearance.

He strangely bled into the background despite the terror emanating off of him — death was an ever present threat, after all. Something which when out of sight was out of mind. But also, he just didn’t really want to talk to everyone.

Auguste was left to stare after the ragtag gang of demigods, unsure of his place on whether or not he was supposed to follow.

He hadn’t said anything else after his very awkward introduction

“Thanks for the apple” had been the first acknowledgment of his presence ever since the daughter of Hades had shown up. Maybe it would’ve been better had he been a child of Hades, icy blue eyes and dark hair seemed to be a necessity, after all. One which he definitely passed for.

“No problem.” Such a soft spoken return of the apple for what he had said. He slowly began to shuffle back towards the camp to be by himself.

It was nice to socialize, apparently it had been “important” for his “social development” or whatever nonsense he was being told about his people skills.

God that had been so fucking awkward, but it was better to be awkward than to be… intimidating. Or cruel. Or mean. Or violent.

He was going back to bed and knitting. It wasn’t worth this socialization. He went to go shuffle off by himself once more.

Celaena eyed Damien cautiously before she turned on her heel, ebony ponytail flashing with an almost inky hue as she glanced towards her companion. "Sariel, let's go." Her accented voice spoke calmly, an edge to her tone as she gave a soft nod to Callie and Auguste before she quickly escaped. Her footsteps were quiet on the ground as she made her way from the Big House toward her own cabin. Her eyes seemed to stare into nothing as she completely zoned out. The daughter of Hades hated her ancestry sometimes, hating the fact she was a child of the big three and her father didn't have the best reputation amongst the camp.

Sariel gave a soft whine, her ears drooping almost comically before she gave a long stare at Daminen before following her mistress. Her red orbs studied the ebony-haired female that she called her friend and companion. The girl looked a bit lost, and so, as old times dictated, the hellhound bounded forward to pace alongside Cel and gave the dangling fingers a swift lick. Catching the girl's attention, she gave a soft woof, tilting her head cutely to one side and letting her tongue dangle out of her mouth as she widened her eyes into the cutest puppy-dog eyes ever made.

Celaena had let her mind wander, her eyes closing as she gave a hefty sigh. Her legs led her to her cabin, allowing the girl to sit down on the steps leading to her cabin door. A tongue swiping across her fingers caught her attention, and her icy mercury-dipped orbs opened to focus on the wide-eyed stare of her companion. "Sariel... I swear to everything... you furball of doom." Her tone was fond as she gave the hellhound a scratch behind her ears. The hellhound looked slightly smug for a split second, and Cel caught the look a second too late. Her eyes widened, and she shook her head. "Sariel... don't you dare..." She held her hands out as the hellhound playfully tackled her. A soft laugh escaped Celaena's mouth as she playfully tussled with her friend. The duo made an odd sight as they wrestled. Yet the clear, soft sound of laughter is what caused many stares - the known daughter of Hades was not often seen laughing or even smiling. Sariel always managed to get her mistress out of the memories her mind liked to bring forth.

  • ──────── Aiden Seaver
    [] | Athena Head Counselor | 15 | Male | ➡ Cabin 6 | Tags: Open

The day that summer campers arrived was hit or miss for Aiden. On the one hand, the influx of campers meant a lot of familiar faces that Aiden missed throughout the year. On the other hand, it also meant a lot of first-timers who tended to be either full of themselves or terminally useless. Usually, it was both.

This year was a little bit different for Aiden - he was representing the Athena cabin as head counselor. While he was honored to be given all that responsibility, a small voice in the back of his head insisted he was still too young. He'd only just turned fifteen, but he'd also been at camp for longer than most demigods. Regardless of either opinion, Aiden knew he was qualified. They wouldn't have picked him otherwise.

Once the rushing tide of summer campers started to peter out, the child of Athena plucked a Greek Hoplon from the foot of his bed, the shield transforming into its mundane disguise of a backpack in the process. The inside was mostly barren, but he filled that empty space with the planner he'd clutched in one hand and zipped up the bag, slinging it over his shoulder without a second thought. Capture the Flag was tonight (or this afternoon? The time was never inconsistent.), but Aiden couldn't say he was looking forward to it. It wasn't a case that Aiden was bad at Capture the Flag - he'd be a disgrace to his mother if he was - he just preferred the chariot races and some of the other camp events. Something just always seemed to go wrong during Capture the Flag.

Vi could pretty much feel the doubt of Matie about her words. Vi would have been offended if it wasn't right to doubt her abd what actions she took and didn't take.

Vi continued to smile " my my so defensive I am hurt that you think I would do anything bad to you " vi said with a fringed gasp of disbelief " we are cabinmates why that's pretty much being sisters and I just want to help you fit in with the times " Vi moved as she spoke circling around Matie half mist half person " You see in you I see a kindred soul. When my father abandoned me and my mother took me to raise I wasn't exactly raised with kids my age or technology of this Era " that was one story she told if it was true who knew all her backstories were equally likely and she switched between them as needed " so " she pulled out a friendship bracelet she had taken off an aphrodite kid. It was a pink and gold braid with a little heart bead. There were no names and over all it was easy to not recognize except by the owner. " how about we be friends we have been in camp together for 3 summers after all ? "
