Dylan Vega
Mood: Wide Awake| Location: Hebe Table | With: Himself
Dylan, as was his usual habit, had woken at the crack of dawn. It was a remnant of when he'd been a child - and actual child, not his normal semblance of youth - when he'd had to wake up at the crack of dawn to assist his family on the ranch. Then, he'd had to wake up just as early when his father moved to the United States because his father had to be at the university very early, and Dylan had to be dropped off just as early.
All of this was perfectly fine with Dylan. He enjoyed being up early. There was something oddly relaxing about being one of the only people up, and the quality of people up so early was typically much nicer than those late to rise. They were the ones that liked to work out in the morning, or the ones that wanted to sit quietly before the day became loud and hot and chaotic. They were the ones that were less likely to cause trouble, but more likely to help him deal with the trouble if it did arise.
He liked being up early.
He took his early morning walk, checking on all the usual suspects before finally heading over to the pavilion to take his place at his unfortunately quite sparce table. His mother was not known for having many children, so he didn't find himself with the plethora of siblings that those at the Hermes table for example had. But he took this bit of misfortune, and turned it into a desire to get along with pretty much everyone at camp. Sure, he might not be as closely related as some, but they were all basically family.
He ate quietly, smiling at those campers he knew who walked past - which was most of them - and continued to eat silently as he listened to Chiron state that they were goning to be playing capture the flag. While the event wasn't as fun for him as it was for some of the more powerful campers, he was still excited. He wondered what team he was going to be put on.
Asha Kapoor
Mood: Joyful | Location: Next to the Zeus Table | Near: Zeno @G4hardcore , Agatha @too much idea & Derek @Yuuki Kuran
After dropping her new friend off at his cabin the night before, Asha had walked back to her cabin, and had happily found that the series of pranks she'd set up for the newbies had worked out swimmingly. She simply walked past the now soaking wet and cold campers, winking. "Welcome to Hermes house."
As she plopped into bed, she couldn't help but contemplate the day - as unusual as that was for her - and finally decided that she would have to take action on this new prophecy thing that Chiron had mentioned. She wasn't one to not take action, especially if it had to do with the outcome of her life.
She was actually frowning when she heard a splash and a scream as a latecomer to the cabin found one of the few water balloons and the frown quickly changed to a satisfied grin. With the Cheshire-like grin on her face, Asha fell asleep.
----------
The next morning, Asha woke up late. Typically, she would enjoy getting up early and setting up traps and pranks for those around the camp, but during the night she had found herself plagued by strange dreams that she couldn't quite remember. It had left an odd taste in her mouth, and had left a number of Hermes cabin members feeling uncharacteristically safe as they prepared for their day.
Asha threw her hair into a haphazard yet somehow good looking ponytail, threw on a simple, comfortable outfit and slouch-walked her way to the Pavilion. She was greeted by the smell of her favorite breakfast and quickly took her place at the Hermes table - the other kids knew not to sit in her spot.
Glancing around at all of the new faces, she happened to catch sight of Dylan, sitting a few tables away. She shot him a guilty look, hoping that he might possibly suspect she had set up some kind of elaborate prank (which she hadn't) just to make sure he had the proper amount of anxiety built up for the day. She knew that he secretly wished he could look his age, and scientific studies showed that anxiety prematurely aged people, so in theory, she was actually helping him reach his dreams!
Then she caught sight of Zeno - over at the Zeus table - and quickly stood up and walked over, abandoning her tray to be dealt with at a later date.
"Zeno. How are you this morning? Derek, Agatha, good to see you." The mischievous daughter of Hermes grinned at the people sitting at the table.
Caspian "Cas" Phillips
Mood: Aprehensive | Location: Poseidon Table, Pavilion | Near: (eventually) Leila @Arkytior & Momilani @Federoff
And once again Cas was lost. Well, at least he wasn't lost physically this time. But he was pretty darn sick of being lost and confused.
In fact, his confusion had almost developed into aggravation and he had almost swore.
Almost.
A gentleman doesn't swear.
He had found his cabin the night before after a kindly woman identifying herself as his sister led him to a cabin and told him it was where he was going to be staying. While had still had plenty of questions, especially the whole "demi-god" and "sisters" things, he had found himself exhausted by the day and had almost instantly fallen deeply asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning he woke to a still cabin. The sun had yet to fully come up. Cas attributed this to the fact that he never slept very well in unfamiliar places at the beginning, and if this place was one thing, it was definitely unfamiliar.
The two girls were apparently still asleep, and, not wanting to wake them, he'd left. As he'd walked around in the early morning light, he'd suddenly smelled the delicious scent of breakfast. His stomach had growled impatiently, like a dog that had been deprived of food for too long, and he'd followed the scent.
He had found himself in a pavilion. It being quite early, he'd been surprised to find that he wasn't the only one there. Instead, there appeared to be an assortment of people... and other creatures. One such creature recognized him for the bonfire, had recognized his godly parent, and had most definitely recognized the look of pure confusion in his eyes. This creature, a satyr, had been nice enough to lead him to the Poseidon table, which was where Cas now found himself quietly eating breakfast, looking around with a continuous look of wonder, in constant waiting to see what would come next.
