Fandom Camp Half-Blood Redefined

"Uh in that case let's do the tour first, it may be safer for my stuff." He shouldered his bag to hold it more comfortably.

Ryan responded, "Hm. Okay...so are you going to that campfire thing tonight?"

Waffleton ran to his friend Wafster Braidley, "You won't believe what I just saw!"

"Hermes, god of theives." She remarked simply, then walked off. The U shaped cabin area splayed before her. "Well, the three at the front are the big three gods, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades," She pointed to each in turn, "And the rest all create a U around it. That's Hermes' cabin," She pointed to the cabin that seemed to be overflowing with kids. "Theres the pavillion where we eat all our meals under the stars." She showed him the pegasus stables, the climbing wall ("Featuring the latest in deadly obstacles!"), the training grounds, and ending the tour with the Sound. Sitting by the water of the Long Island Sound, Helena always felt relaxed listening to the water.

Evenlynn shook her head unsurely. "I didn't know there was a campfire anything going on . . ." A thought niggled in the back of her mind that she did indeed know of it and simply hadn't kept up with it.

"I'll probably be around though." she added after a moment.

Jason, listened intently during the tour, taking in the details. "Okay, that's interesting." when they arrived at the beach he was relieved, he wasn't sure if he really was a son of Poseidon but he might as well try. He set his stuff down, on the sand, then turned towards the water, he started walking towards the water, then stopped. Neither of them were sure he really was Poseidon's kid, maybe Helena was right, he could just be getting his hopes up. He just turned around and walked away grabbing his bag and looking towards the Hermes cabin. "So is there some sort of gathering I need to get to later or do I start tomorrow?"

"Well, you missed capture the flag... Theres normally a mixer of some sort afterwards. Then theres dinner. I never to the mixer though, cause everyone hates me. Need somewhere to go during that, stop by Hades, I'm always alone. Fred would probably love to see you again..." She watched him seem to give up, and blinked. "Hmmm.... What are you waiting for? Go on. We're right on the waters edge. Try it out."

He looked at her, then back at the water. He dropped his bag and went to the edge of the sand. He looked down at the water, staring in a dazed way. "Well whats the worst that can happen." He held out his hands and concentrated, wanting to make his first time doing this look cool. He felt a tingling sensation in his fingertips before noticing that there were four water spouts spiraling in front of him. he looked back at Helena a smile spreading across his face. "This is the single most awesome day ever."

"Oh alright. I'll see you there then" Ryan said and smiled a little as he started to walk to the training grounds.

"Poseidon then." She stood up. "Well then it's Poseidon cabin it is." With a stretch, she walked off, waving for Jason to follow her to the cabin. She gazed upon the big blue cabin, she glanced at her own and her expression soured. Poseidon was so big and fabulous, respected, and then there was Zeus, all marble and gold and silver and then- Hades. Little black, skull encrusted shed. How did Genie say it? "FANTASTIC COSMIC POWER! Little itty bitty space." She sighed and turned to look at Jason. "You have a half sister, her name is Jaycee. You are the only two Poseidon children. Have fun, if you need help getting around... you know who to talk to... wheee.." She walked over to the shed, threw the door open and stepped inside.

Ryan looked around the training grounds. He wanted to test out his new abilities. Ryan thought to himself, 'It's better that I don't tell everyone about it.' Only a few people new of his enhanced physical abilities and he didn't want those powers to add to his Zeus kid stereotype.

Jason followed her, and as she explained more to him, he nodded even though she couldn't see him, he walked into the cabin, hoping his half-sister would be there. When there was no one he wasn't surprised he just walked over to the nearest open bunk and was about to set his stuff down when he noticed two charm bracelets, a seashell design on one and a trident on the other. He looked around and saw the other occupied bunk and figured this was for him, if anything, he'd ask his Half-sister if they were her's. He slipped them on figuring if they were a gift, someone may want to see him wearing them. He unpacked all of his things, and made his bed liking the design and smell, almost like they were in the middle of the ocean. After unpacking he decided to tak helena up on her offer to hang out seeing as she has been the first and kindest person to him so far. He walked out of the Poseidon cabin and turned towards the Hades cabin. He knocked on the door wondering if she was still inside.

(Seashell: Trident:)

Mason walked over from the field and stood next to the tree right in front of him. He felt his body and looked at his ribs. They were better than they were and he could breathe fine. He looked over at everyone talking and he felt a bit alone. It would have been nice to have his brothers and sister there to save him. He wanted to thank Helena and Evelynn for saving his life under his own contraption. Once he found them alone that is, he didn't know how to gather his courage any way else.

He walked over to the workshop where he kept his bunk at. He really enjoyed it there and that is where he learned more about his abilities. He left his bracers on and tinkered with them. He began remembering something his mother had told him before he left. ' Mijo, you need to be careful. Be happier and if you find friends, keep them close to you. They might be the only thing you'll get in this life of yours.' He smiled and a tear rolled down his cheek. He missed his mother and hoped the fire he caused didn't cause her any trouble.

His mind was enveloped in the fire. He could smell the smoke as if it were there. He could feel the warmth lingering around him as it got more intense. He started noticing the table was turning black. He looked down and saw his hands engulfed in flames.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH! Fire!!!!!!!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as he ran around trying to put his hands out. He shouldered through the door leading outside and tried dropping and rolling. His hands stayed alit and began charring the ground where they touched. Mason got up and continued to call for help as he ran frantically towards the water. His hands didn't burn, maybe he was in shock. He passed everyone and they stared in fright. His brothers and sister did nothing for him, instead they ran to the workshop to put the fire out. He saw the waterline and quickly flailed his arms in the air and dove in.

The water sizzled and boiled around his hands. He was soaked and yet his hands weren't extinguished. Mason kept moving his hands and the steam lifted off the waters surface above it. He never knew anything like this could happen. He didn't know of any fire powers. He didn't know much of his fathers abilities but he feared he was cursed. He screamed out to the crowd amassing, "Que enjoy diablos is going on!!! Help me! "

Ryan ran at regular speed toward the sound. He saw Mason losing his mind over his flaming hands, "Mason relax! You're Hephaestus's son...he is the god of fire!"

Mason looked up at Ryan, "SO NOW YOU'RE A KNOW-IT-ALL, EHHH? " He yelled out waving his hands around trying to put them out without avail. "WHY DOESN'T IT STOP!?"

Ryan got a little mad at what Mason said, but remained calm, "You need to relax. Stop focusing on the fire and just look at the water or something."

Jaycee opened her cabin door. "Ahhh! What the fudge!?!" She tried to avoid her profanity as much as she could but...there was a kid in her cabin. "Hi!" The boy said. "Uh..hello there...what are you doing?" Jay asked him. "I'm Jason. Son of Poseidon. Is this the correct cabin?" Jaycee thought for a moment, then nodded. "Jaycee. Daughter of Poseidon," She held out her hand for him to shake but instead he hugged her. "I've been dying to meet you!" Jay didn't really like hugs but she kinda didn't have a choice at this point. He let her go. "Looks like you're one of us now." And by that, she meant one of them. The heroes of the camp. "Uh? Is this my bunk?" Jaycee quietly groaned and helped him get settled. Again, she doesn't do well with people.

*Did I get this right?*

Ryan clenched his fists as he looked at Mason to see if he would do as Ryan suggested. He took a deep breath and focused on the situation, though he did not like people calling him a know-it-all or any other name of that sort.

Mason started to think of something other than the fire. He closed his eyes and could feel the campfire away from him. He felt the faint warmth of every person around him. 'What is going on with me?! This is so wierd... It's like how I see parts and components in machines but... different. Maybe if I can infuse this new... ooooooooooh..... I like this idea...' He thought to himself, murmuring out and the fire was starting to go away. His hands stayed glowing until he opened his eye slowly, keeping one eye closed.

He looked around then opened his eyes and began laughing. "HAHA! This is sooooooo cool! I can make my own waffles!!" He exclaimed, jumping up and down splashing water everywhere.

Ryan was surprised his suggestion actually worked. He smiled and started walking back to the training grounds. He thought to himself, Now where was I?

Jason was happy to have met his half-sister though was unsure where that burst of excitement came from, he turned to Jaycee. "Sorry to kinda attack you like that I was afraid I was the only one." He nodded towards the stuff he had set up. "As you can see I already kinda moved in, also are these yours or could they be a present from dad?" He held up his wrists showing the two bracelets.

Jason held up his wrists, revealing two bracelets. "They were here when I got here. I didn't bother asking," Jaycee laid on her bunk. She didn't talk much. Even if it was her half-brother. She didn't want him to think she was rude. Honestly, that tends to happen often. Jaycee reached over and grabbed the book she had been reading. Once in a while, she would glance at Jason. She was lonely a lot so company was pretty much new. Nobody at camp talked to her. Maybe about her but not to her. She kept to herself. Everything else around her was like a movie. She was stuck in the scene as a extra cast member.

Ryan arrived at the training ground looked around once more. He shrugged and decided to test put his enhanced physical abilities. No one was there anyway. He picked up a dummy and threw it in the air with normal human strength so that it would not go so high and be seen by others. Ryan used his super strength and punched the airborne dummy. His eyes widened as his arm broke through the dummy.

Jason shrugged "Okay then, what do you think they do? Do you think they have any abilities?" He looked at his sister, if anything he wanted a good relationship with her, "We are family" he thought. He went and sat down on his bed staring blankly at the door.

Helena grumbled and stepped into the Poseidon cabin, her hair bed-messied as she stared at Jason with narrowed eyes. "...Did you knock on my door." She mumbled, walking over to him. She acknowledged Jaycee with an unenthusiastic wave of a hand, then turned her attention on the new kid once more. "Did you knock on my shed door."

Jason was a little intimidated at first then got a little upset, she seemed too upset with him just for knocking at least he did knock. he stood up and stared her down. "Yes I did, I wanted to take you up on the offer to hang out." he sounded angry at first, then a calmed down a bit. "I thought you were okay with it."
