Dice Café

Kay~

So, Isa gets to choose how much info he gave. Manuel's collection gives +4 to the knowledge rolls about his research. Katsuya Katsuya , you can distribute the +4 points between Isa, Lysanthir, and Charon.
I mean he gave the books to both Charon and Lysanthir. He just wants them back after they are done. So +2 to Charon and +2 to Lysanthir. Isa is going to sleep at night. XD

Please make a DC18 artisan roll with the +2 from Manuel's books to begin understanding the portal. I'll say for this challenge, this will require 2 successes. And with each extra day you spend studying and repairing the portal, you get an additional +1 to the roll. For the last final roll, we will make this roll when someone walks through the activated portal.

As for fixing the rune lines between the engine and the portal, it will also require 2 successes with a DC14 artisan, knowledge, or survival roll. Sisyphus Happy Sisyphus Happy And you get an additional +1 to the roll for every extra day you spend repairing the lines.

Moss buys:
  1. Food, 1 week for two people and Okami
    Cost: 24 alchemical
  2. Sass shirt
    Cost: 4 metal

Market events:
There is a shortage of food and water, and with the state of things, most goods cost double their usual price.

Here goes nothing (or something).

How aware of our characters' successes are they? Charon would be trying to make sure that it's all very fixed.

Man, so I'd say on the first day helping, Charon does not understand the arithmetic calculations to make the portal work. Even putting the physical pieces together, there are still some missing parts, smaller intricate ones within the bigger frames that's still unknown, including their linking enchantments.

And it's been hard clearing and digging through the rubble as there were still pockets of petrified water, and a lot of instability that caused sudden cave-ins.

For the rune lines one, I'll roll for exposure.
1 = -1 Hp + Complication. Extremely dangerous Encounter. Ambushed by a large band of raiders, hunted by a giant predator, caught in a sudden avalanche, triggered a dormant curse.
2 - 3 = -1 Hp. Dangerous Encounter. Thieves upon the road, stumbling into the den of territorial monsters, sudden ice breaks or magma burts, triggered the old magical traps of a ruin.
4 - 6 = Complication. This is an affliction or accident that damaged gear, vehicles, or mounts, or lost items. Fell off a rocky ledge, ate poisonous mushrooms, strong wind broke off a branch that fell on your back, you feel feverish.
7-12 = +1 Exhaustion. Got lost for a while and ended up spending a lot of effort getting back on the right path, a sudden unexpected change in weather left you dehydrated or chilled to weariness, the hike was challenging and left you with a stitch at your side, something got damaged or someone got hurt and you went this way and that to fix it.

Edit: Charon has -1 to all rolls. He got exhausted when working on the rune lines. There was just too much rubble to move, and a lot of going back and forth and holding heavy things with his magic for long periods of time while the drows went in and worked on the lines.

Oh, actually it's not that bad.

Edit: I think for flavor, after the day before and a night full of nightmares, he just isn't performing.
Yeah, that'll do. Do you want me to edit my post to incorporate what happened to Charon or would you like to decide how it went and stuff?

I think that with the vague prompt that he's in a relatively bad way and wasn't able to keep up, if you have a good idea of what to put down for the outward things that happened, I can provide internal reactions and dialogue etc.

If all that doesnt take absolutely the whole day, I can add something else in my next post.

Alright. I'll say that when it comes to any important impact on the story, those two things took up a significant time of the day so that he cannot do any more important actions. As for non-story related actions, he can add stuff.

Moss cooking, +3 artisan, +2 crockpot, +1 cookbook

Katsuya Katsuya , Breakfast was bad. XD Felt kinda numbing. The two would feel a bit of petrification. Somehow the food he bought got contaminated by the rain or something.
