Realistic or Modern ☆ café roleplay II anime ☆ hiring!

Jameson stifled a yawn and took a large drink from his coffee. Blinking a few times he looked around as he leaned forward on the table. He saw megumi tear up, and yano swing in for a rescue. He watched the other customers, and workers, and their distinct personalities. It made him smile as he looked down at his notes on the various museum pieces. He wasn't accustomed to much hustle and bustle, but maybe it would be a good change from the quiet of the museum.

Yano turned his head towards Megumi with a smile on his lips and a slight wave as something like a 'no-worries'- gesture. He then waltzed around the café, picking up a few orders here and there. He reached the table he had in mind to pick up the dishes from the couple who just left. As he walked in a quick pace, he noticed even more people crowding inside the café. It was surprising how a litte, unknown place like this one could have this many customers in less than a day. Not that he bothered, more customers equals more money. Yano picked up a plate and a cup almost filled with black coffee. Once again, he looked around as he walked, not really paying attention to his surroundings. That was when he felt something under his feet. Another foot perhaps, but not his own. No, it was someone else's, someone he had not realized until now. "Shit!" he managed to get out as he stumbled forward and dropping the plate and the cup.

As Emiko felt someone tower over her she looked up from her notepad with wide eyes. Her bag fell from her shoulder and its contents scattered onto the floor as she fell backwards in an attempt to get away from the stumbling waiter. Wincing, the plate and cup shattered near her and droplets of the remaining black coffee stained her shirt.

As she opened her eyes and blinked slowly, Emiko stared at the polished floor around her, bewildered. The floor was now scattered with white pieces of china as if a star had exploded. Emiko knelt and with shaky hands she carefully began retrieving bits and pieces of the china and scooping them up onto the tray, occasionally fumbling and dropping the pieces again. Working herself up into a state, she began to cut her fingers on the china and her face grew a light shade of pink - disliking the stares at the back of her head.

"I-I'm really sorry..." she whispered, speaking to the unknown person who she had just tripped up.

Yano's eyes widened in horror when he fell down on his knees next to her. He sat there for a moment, staring at the shattered porcelain before he came to his senses. "I'm sorry!" He said with a stressed voice. He noticed the stains of coffee on her shirt that created some unusual kind of pattern. The thought reached his head, coffee stains were hard to remove.

That was when he also noticed the cuts on her fingertips, revealing tiny droplets of crimson liquid. "Fuck! I'm sorry!" He yelled again, ignoring the customers who stared at the two. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away from the porcelain before he himself picked up the remaining pieces. Once every single piece laid on the tray, he stood up from the ground and reached out a hand towards her to help her up on her feet as well. The expression on his face had calmed down a little, and a pair of gentle eyes were now resting on the girl. "Come on, at least let me get you some bandages"

Megumi tries to hold in her laughter. Being a cruel person sometimes, she just had to laugh at the fact that he had almost fallen over. Noticing that both the girl had cut herself and the boy had coffee stains on his shirt, it now became a little less funnier when she realized they were both somewhat hurt. Megumi takes out a few plasters from her bag, standing up and walking over to the girl. She drops them on her head, trying to make it out as it was the least she could do-and that it 'wasn't to help you, or anything!'. "I.. Just had a few spare. You're lucky, if you ask me."

Jameson looked up from his corner table and blinked in surprise at the falling waiter and stumbling young girl. He stood slowly and made his way over as they picked up the China. Carefully he replaced the contents of the fallen bag and placed it gently on the countertop. He gave the waiter a nod and grabbed a few napkins to clean up the small droplets of coffee that had stained the shining floor. Tossing the napkins away as he made his way back to his seat he resettled himself. Jameson took another glance around the room and inhaled slowly the gentle smell of baking sweets and fresh coffee grounds before setting his mind back to work. The laptop flashing various floor plans and setups.

Emiko stared at the young waiter with wide eyes but with a warm smile she waved off his hand and stood up slowly, dusting off her knees for effect.

"It's fine, honestly. I was in the way, but i would have appreciated it if you had just nudged me instead of almost dropping a plate on top of my head." She joked, nudging him slightly. "Thanks...." She trailed off, noticing a familiar face make her way towards her. Emiko couldn't place where she knew her from, which bothered her slightly. She took the plasters from the girl and she nodded gratefully, unwrapping them and placing them over the cuts that she was not aware had existed. "Yeah, i guess i am. Could have been a lot worse".

Stepping back from the few that had gathered she nodded her head at them. "I'm sorry for causing such a ruckus, lucky nobody was seriously injured though... right? Well, apart from my shirt..." Emiko sighed, noticing the dark stains that had formed "That's kind of a bummer"

Yano nodded a little as the girl stood up from the ground by herself. The stains on her shirt had really sunken in. Large dots of brown-isch shade had appeared. But he snapped out of his thoughts when he heard footsteps and voices of two people approaching them. One unfamilliar guy and the same girl from earlier. Yano straightened his back a little and looked back at the girl he had fallen over. "Hey, you're not to blame about anything. I'm the one who should be sorry." He said as guilt filled his head. This caused the slight frown between his eyebrows. To avoid making his guilt come through, he put his hands in his pockets and leaned back on the wall casually.

Yukina poked her head out of the kitchen, wondering what exciting things were going on outside her second home. She was eating a cream puff she'd made just a while ago, and her eyes curiously scanned the room. She didn't say anything, but she was rather curious as to what was going on. At least things seemed lively, and going well.

(//clumsily jumps in)

Emiko smiled nervously, fidgeting after becoming mildly self-conscious.

"D-do you uh...have a shirt i could borrow? Such as a spare uniform or something! ...I actually have a job interview after this so..." She trailed off, laughing slightly and rubbing the back of her neck.

@Peachypants

The frown on his face disappeared and he lit up in a warm smile. He had packed other clothes considering that he would probably leave straight from here to his other job. "I might have something you can borrow" Yano said as he brushed off his shirt a little bit. "Come on, this way" and with that said, he walked past her, heading towards the back of the kitchen where some kind of dressing area could be found. It was more like a place for the staff to hang their coats, but well. He glanced back at Emiko to see if she was following.

@Emi

"Thank you, you're a life saver" Emiko nodded gratefully at him. She followed closely behind him, bouncing on the balls of her feet. When he glanced around to check if she was following she gave a small salute and laughed "Right behind you Cap'n"

@Peachypants

Yano grinned a little when the girl burst out in laughter. "No worries, I was the one who ruined your shirt anyways" He walked through the door into the kitchen, in a pace slow enough for her to keep up with. You see, he often walked faster than others. Someone in the kitchen said something like "hey, she can't be in here" but no one really bothered to do much about it. Yano turned right by the corner and stopped when he reached the rows of shelves. On the top there laid a black bag that looked an awful lot like a sports bag. Yano pulled it down and began digging for something for the girl to wear. "I doubt that we share the same size, but at least it's something." He said and pulled out yet another white button-up before reaching it out towards her. His face lit up in a cheerful smile. "Here you go"

@Emi

Emiko waved at the few people she passed in the kitchen, chuckling softly to herself. As the waiter dug around in a bag she couldn't help but feel a bit anxious . His shirt? Oh well, it's not that bad.

"Thanks" she murmured, taking the shirt gratefully. "Are you sure you don't mind? I probably won't be able to get it back to you for a couple of days "

Emiko unbuttoned the first two buttons of her shirt, knowing the waiter probably wouldn't mind her borrowing it but she felt she needed to ask anyway

@Peachypants

Yano smiled kindly. "Don't worry about it, it's just a piece of clothing. And besides, I wouldn't want to put your job interview at risk just because of my clumsiness" He said and shrugged his shoulders slightly. After that he fell silent, staring down on the floor, but his eyes shot wide open just as he looked up at her again. It was when he realised she had started unbuttoning her shirt. "Shit I'm sorry, I'll be going" He tried to say, but the words left his mouth as some kind of mumbling mess. With that he left her alone to change, on his cheeks were something very unusual, a slight shade of pink.

@Emi

Emiko looked at him stunned slightly at his abruptness and the spread of pink of his cheeks. Ah, crap. Did i actually end up hurting him when we bumped into each other? She pondered to herself, standing for a few minutes silently in thought. I should apologize again later.

As she slipped out of top and buttoned up his shirt she looked down at herself and smirked slightly. The sleeves went over her hands, leaving only her fingers on show and the top went down to her upper thigh. As she walked out of the small area in search of the waiter she began folding up the sleeves and tucking the bottom of the shirt into her jeans, making it look normal.

Yano was currently standing by a table taking orders. The customer was a sweet, old lady dressed in a purple outfit. She was that kind of lady who would wake you up to the scent of freshly baked cookies, like the perfect grandmother. The lady ordered nothing more than a simple biscuit and a cup of chamomille tea. Once Yano was done taking orders, he headed back towards the counter. But he stopped when he saw the girl leaving the kitchen. She wore his white shirt that was obviously way too big for her, but it somehow suited her. Much so when she rolled up the sleeves and tucked in the hem. Yano cracked a tiny smile but looked back on the counter to pick out the biscuit for the lady. "You look good in that, it really suits you." He simply said, figuring she was within hearing distance.

@Emi

Emiko chuckled, looking up at him and she smoothed down the wrinkles of the shirt, suddenly feeling her nerves prickle. She waltzed over to him, leaning her head on the counter and breathing in the smell of freshly baked cookies, then sighing in content.

"Once your done with your orders could you grab me one before i leave? I suddenly have a craving..." She gestured towards the biscuits and tucked the money into the waiters front pocket, patting it slightly. "Thank you...again. Are you sure i didn't hurt you earlier?" Emiko looked the waiter up and down, trying to find any sort of mark that the impact may have left.

@Peachypants

Yano blinked a few times when she put the money in his pocket, he then looked up at her. "Sure thing, but you'll have to wait a little" He said with something that would seem like a wink, not the obvious kind, before he walked away from the counter. He wore a slight smirk as he picked up the biscuit and the cup of tea which he had forgotten to give to the old lady. As if in a hurry, he rushed towards the customer and placed her order on the table in front of her. "I'm sorry you had to wait, please consider this on the house." He said and cracked a smile while patting her shoulder slightly. After that he waltzed around the café, delivering and taking orders every here and there. Once done with that he stopped right in front of the counter on which the girl whom whe did not know the name of still sat. "You never told me your name." He simply said.

Emiko nodded and watched as the waiter waltzed around the room gracefully. She grinned to herself as she watched, only now fully noticing his appearance. Once he returned she smiled at him.

"My name? Emiko, just Emi is fine though. What about you Mr Waiter?"

Yano leaned back on the counter behind him and looked at her. "Emiko, that's a pretty name" he said and raised his hand to remove the name tag that was pinned onto his shirt. "For my name, Mr. Waiter suits me well, don't you think?" He said with a smirk and let the name tag roll over his fingers before he caught it in a closed fist. Suddenly he remembered that she had ordered something. "Now, what may I give a young lady like this? A biscuit, an eclair or perhaps a cake?" He asked, now glancing down on the desserts.

Emiko smiled softly at him, slightly amused by him teasing her. "I really don't think my name is very pretty but thank you Mr Waiter " she replied with a smirk. She poked at his closed fist, then placed her finger on the space where his name tag should be. "Mr Waiter, I would like to order one cup of Jasmine tea and one plain biscuit, if I may."

"Seriously, you don't? I think it's lovely. But if you say so" Yano said and put his hands next to his head. Since no one was standing in line to order something he figured he could just climb over the counter. And so he did. In one swift move he made his way over and stopped on the other side. "I do have to apologize if the tea is odd tasting, my talents as a barista isn't far too great." And honestly, they were awful. She was a fool for trusting him with a valuable drink like this. But even so he still prepared the jasmine tea she wanted and picked up a jar of biscuits. "Do you prefer chocolate or vanilla?"

Emiko laughed when he jumped over the counter. "Not a problem, I'm sure I can treat it like a shot If it's terrible. " she lent on the counter, twiddling her hair in between her fingers. When he spoke again she studied his face, trying to see if she could find a name that fits.

"vanilla please... Tomoya? Ryou? Anthony?"

Yano poured up a quite large cup of tea which he placed next to Emiko. He also picked up a vanilla biscuit from the jar and placed it on a small plate which he also put next to the girl. For himself he snatched a chocolate cookie before once again climbing over the counter. "Not even close." He smirked playfully. "But I'll tell you this, it's not the most usual name. It's quite rare actually."
