Fantasy Broadville High School

Enya was about to pitch into the conversation when the school bells rang to signal passing time for the next class. She spun around in her seat to watch all of the students file out of the Cafeteria. Her eyes flicked around watching the crowd as she realized that she had to leave too, to catch up with her other friends and discuss the predictions of the new year. " I guess that's our cue to go guys, I'll see you all in class ok? " She practically sprang up, catching her foot on the edge of the bench they were perched on, stumbling and trying to recover from her near-fall. Enya laughed at herself as she waved goodbye to her new companions, Piper and Ava-Joy. Filing out with the rest of the students she began to leave the lunchroom to her favorite class. Class A training. It was the only class where she could learn without having to sit down and write, it was interactive studies teaching us about their unique capabilities, and further discovering their potential. Training to be the best was something she could say that she was good at.

The ring of the bell instantly brought Mizu out of his book. ' great lunch is over and off to class' he thought as he stood to head to class. Mizu pulled his schedule frome his back pocket to check his classes. ' my next class is… god, really.' Mizu rolled his eyes at the thought of his next class. Class A Training.

As the bell rang, Piper sprang up and waved off Enya and Ava-Joy, then ran to Class A Training. This was the class she was most looking forward to, because she never really explored her capabilities and what she could do with others emotions.

When she walked into the classroom, a grey haired teacher stood at the front of the classroom. He had a slightly younger face, which told that he was in his 40's. Piper looked at him for a few seconds, then walked over to a desk in the second row. She sat slowly on the seat and peered around the classroom. She recognized a few faces, like the one boy who was reading a book in the lunch room. The class was talking in hushed voices about the class.

Enya got so caught up with chatting that she had become late when the passing time bell had rang. She was scurrying through the halls to get to her Class A training, her shoes making a silent clicking noise as she paced through the growing empty hallways. Slowly she became out of breath with all of the senseless running. 142, 142, 142 where are you. Enya thought to herself as she read the numbers on the classrooms going up an down until she finally came across number 142. She let out a stressed sigh as she finally made it, may it be only a minute or two late, but it felt like an eternity to her. She came into the room quietly and the teacher's head perked up in her direction. He didn't make any noise, just gestured for her to sit down. His wavy, graying hair falling slightly to his face as he moved. Enya looked around and saw Piper in the second row, she nodded as she sat behind her, and in front of the mysterious boy she saw at the cafeteria, whom she never said hello to. More people to meet, fine by me. She smiled to herself as she saw his face. Darker face, and thick hair with a beanie on his head.

" Welcome to Class A training everybody, I am your teacher Mr. Galloway. This class is entirely dedicated to progressing your powers. So I think we should all pair up and find out who can do what. " He spoke as he moved up from his place at his desk, and shrugged when he leaned against it to look at the class. " Fair enough? "

Castalia calmly walked into the classroom with a book. Taking a glance at the students, she shut her eyes. Classrooms were always the worst places when trying to escape the threads of future.

When the teacher announced the group work, Castalia immediately adumbrated the people around her. Who would actually see her as normal? Who would feel offended to know their possible futures? Glancing around in a panic, Castalia placed her books on the desk.

Sighing and taking another bite into her apple, Castalia continued to contemplate how things would continue here.

Josh had scanned the piece of paper, looking it up and down. If it were a real person instead of a paper, it would most definitely set a restraining order on him. Throwing it onto the floor, he scoffed at a girl in front of him that had given him this note. "You think I would like you? Out of all the girls in this school?" Josh said, a tinge of comedy in his voice. The girl in front of him was a random one, ordinary looking. Her personality was pretty ordinary as well, there just wasn't anything special about her. She took him with surprise, he usually isn't noticed by people often. In other people's eyes, he was the ordinary random one. The girl's eyes had feared up and she ran away, leaving Josh feeling bad for her. He smacked his head. Sometimes, he should just keep his mouth closed. Her intentions were pure, she really did adore him. His powers informed him that she was shy about her feelings and finally decided to come out and show him her feelings. Sighing, he walked to his next class. Class A Training. He walked into the room and sat down at an empty seat.

Josh rest his cheek on his hand, elbow propped on the table. He put on a solid, blank look, not wanting any contact with people before the class started. He still felt bad about the scenario that had just happened, maybe he would apologize later. He barely remembered what she looked like and what her name was. Josh looked around the classroom, not seeing people he was friends with. He knew some of them, just never talked to them. He spots a new girl, long pin straight hair and bangs. Returning his gaze to the front, he peered at the teacher, awaiting for the class to start.

Enya looked around as the last person strolled into the classroom, a male, fair-skinned. She watched him as he sat down, then sighed, waiting for the class to finally begin, to actually do something. Who knows, starting with typical getting to know you stuff, or everyone standing up and showing off what they can do. She only smiled with sheer excitement and bounced her leg with impatience.

" Ok now that everyone's here.... " The male teacher began.

I wanna be in class A training with everyone but my replies are all wack and and I don't have it with anyone T^T Can I just say I have class A training next?

Pulling her notebook out from the pile of textbooks on her desk, Castalia poised her pencil over the lined paper, ready to take note of anything he said. Closing her eyes to avoid intervention of her attention span, Castalia readied her mind, preparing for the lesson.

Screw it. I'm going for it

Just before the class was about to start, AVa-Joy burst through the doors, her textbooks and notebooks gathered sloppily in her hands, as though she had rushed. "S-Sorry I'm late. A teacher stopped me in the halls and said I had to get a schedule change and i-it just took longer that it should have." She looked around and spotted a few familiar faces, those including Enya and Piper. "Is there anywhere I can sit?" She asked the teacher.

The teacher looked at Ava-Joy, and a bit of sympathy in his face. "It's okay," he said. "You can sit next to him if you wish." He pointed to the boy who had been enveloped in a book during their lunch period. "Next time though, try to be on time," Mr. Galloway asserted, putting on his teacher voice. He was a nice teacher, but he thought that he must be stern sometimes or else the students may loose track of their training. That, after all, was the most important thing about going to this school.

"Now, as I was saying, class," he continued, "Please choose your partners to practice your ability with."

Ava-Joy nodded and quickly hurried off to her seat. She sat next to the boy who had an open seat. She looked around for a partner, as everyone else was doing. Maybe Enya or Piper could be my partner...

Piper looked around, seeing Enya and Ava-Joy as potential partners. "Maybe if I choose Enya she will tell me her power..." She thinks. "But I also want to see what Ava-Joy's limit to her powers are." Finally, after a minute or two of thinking, she decided on Enya. Piper got out of her seat like some of the other students were doing, and approached Enya. Reaching out, she tapped on Enya's shoulder lightly, as she was facing the other way. When she turned around, Piper cleared her throat.

"Hey, Enya," she said. "Would you like to be partners?"

Josh looked around the room, people were already in pairs. He got up out of his seat and glanced at all the faces in the room. Should he go up to someone? He stood there contemplating this, and he decided to wait until there was only one person left and he'll pair up with them. Josh didn't really have any of his friends in this classroom, making him feel a bit uncomfortable, but he'll just do the same that he always does, talk when talked to but never start conversation. He leaned against his desk and observed all of the partners. Many people have already met earlier, it seemed.

He was quite busy earlier, sleeping in and all. Then that incident earlier, jeez. He ruffled his hair as he waited.

Enya was zoning out at that point, thinking of all of the possibilities, when she felt a feather light tap on her shoulder, and turned to find her new found red head companion. She smiled at her gently when she looked at her. " Hey Enya, do you want to be partners? "

Enya giggled a bit after her question to herself. " Yes, of course I would love to be your partner. " She shone a bright smile and stood up, ready to get into position. But there was a wave of nervousness washing over her, very subtle though. She hasn't really used her power since she was little. She always found her way around it but now she was being asked to stand there and just. Present her ability? Well, we'll wing it as we go along.

" Alright Ms. Piper " Enya said with a smirk. " Why don't you go first, seeing as your power is still, probably the coolest. It'll give you a chance to show off this time. " She gestured around the bustling classroom to those who were doing what they do best, and all that they knew to make them special.

Claude stretched, not really enthusiastic. There were so many people around the room. He just walked around, seeing who has no partner. He saw a guy, just sitting on his desk. He vaguely recognized him, maybe they were in a class together before."Hey, I'm Claude." He said, extending his hand. "Seeing that you haven't got a pair, I would like to volunteer as yours."

Piper suddenly became nervous, as she never really had used her power on somebody who had known about her abilities. She also was anxious regarding Enya's high expectations of her power, and wether she may be able to impress her. But really, Piper didn't have a choice, so she brushed off her tense feelings.

"Okay," she began, a slight waver in her voice, "I'll make you feel... happy. That's pretty easy for me." So, Piper imagined in her mind Enya being happy.

The way Piper controlled her powers was through her imagination. All she had to do was imagine someone feeling a certain way, and then it happened. She had discovered this in the second grade, when she wished for a specific boy to like her. Then, he did. Piper became so excited when this happened, but she didn't quite realize that this was a "power" of hers. But through time, she realized that certain events weren't coincidences, and that there was something special about her.

Piper watched and waited for Enya's reaction.

Enya folded her arms across her chest and tried to void herself of anything that he was feeling, just wiping her mind clean. She took a deep breath, flashing a quick smile to Piper before she was devoid of all emotion for the moment. Enya could see that the girl was tense, and she wished that she could show her that it didn't take much to make Enya very impressed. After a quick moment Enya was filled with something only alike to pure happiness. Like there was gold running through her veins and she was glowing. Enya almost started to bounce on the balls of her feet as she felt ontop of the world. Like she had just climbed Mount Everest and back, the feeling of accomplishment and achieving something that she could only dream. When in reality she hadn't moved a foot, and she'd reached her peak of happiness. It came in rolling waves, like she was radiating warmth. Enya giggled, and smiled so much that it almost hurt. A chill ran up her spine, but it was hardly there considering how ecstatic she was at the moment.

" This.. This is just incredible! What else can you do, what else? " She rambled excitedly.

Josh's thoughts were interrupted by a male speaking to him. "I'm Josh," He said, taking his hand and slightly shaking it. He studied this man's features, then let go of his hand. "Thank you for this, I was starting to think I wasn't going to have one." Josh had a blank expression on his face, trying to read Claude's heart. He wondered what his power was, as it seemed this class was for training your powers. Josh's power isn't really an external thing, he can't do much. Nothing that is cool, anyway. He looked at the teacher, waiting for instructions on what to do next.

Piper smiled as she could physically see the reaction Enya's body had to this spike of happiness. "This.. This is just incredible! What else can you do, what else?" She spoke. Piper giggled, seeing her excited reaction and that she was obviously impressed. This gave Piper her own spike of happiness.

Suddenly, the teacher cleared his throat and waited for the class to settles down. After a few moments, Mr. Galloway began speaking. "Attention students! What I would like you to begin next, if you haven't done so already, is to introduce yourself to your partners and demonstrate your power. This is going to help you practice, and also get to know your fellow classmates." He clapped excitedly. "Please begin!"

When Mr. Galloway finished talking, Piper turned back to Enya. "Well... answering your question from before, I can make people feel any emotion. Happiness, sadness, jealous, love, and essentially anything else. But that's not too important." She smiled "What can you do?" Piper asked excitedly, hoping that Enya would be willing to reveal her ability.

"Well, I guess I have to find out yours." He said, touching your arm. You feel a mild electric current, not painful just enough to make your hair stand. He "hacked" into your nervous system, unlocking the information about your power. "Ah, you can read the heart? Interesting power." He said. "I assume that you're intersted in learning mine?"

" What can you do? " Enya let out a breath that she didn't even realize she was holding in, and the happiness had since gone leaving her self imposed enthusiasm and her regular state of joy. Enya sighed, because she didn't even know what she could do. She never depended on her power, not for one moment. Finding loopholes and doing whatever she could to make herself stronger, not her ability. It is true she wasn't small and frail anymore, but that was a part of her that she would never trust, regardless of what people told her. As Enya thought for a moment, her smile faltered slightly, only to be shaken off and replaced with a genuine one, smaller and more understanding than the one before.

" How about for today we focus on you. My power can wait until later, trust me you're not missing out on much. " She laughed, leaving off with her typical light tone and she brushed off any remaining unease from her shoulders.

Piper frowned, frustrated. Enya holding back her power made her wonder even more about what it may be. On one hand she thought that she may be telling the truth about having an uninteresting power, but on the other hand, her imagination ran wild about the possibilities of Enya's power.

"Alright," she said, with an inaudible sigh. "What else would you like me to demonstrate?"

Enya lifted her head in mock contemplating, completely oblivious to Piper's frustrated expression, trying to think of another emotion for her to demonstrate. She hmmed to herself trying to picture something interesting. Anxiety? No. Anger? Nah. Surprise? Nope.

Enya's face lit up as she thought of fear, and she beamed in self praise, looking as if she just unlocked the secret to the universe. Enya has never really, been afraid. That may be arrogance talking, but she had really never felt it. Curious and eager to know what it felt like, she asked Piper in the most cheery tone anyone can muster.

" What about fear? Can you do that too? "

Piper looked at Enya's thinking face as it changed expression; contemplating the different emotions she thought of. When she cried out, "Fear," Piper just knew that there was something special about that emotion to her, or else she wouldn't have chosen it. She smiled, knowing that being afraid was one of the strongest feelings a person could experience.

"Of course I can," Piper replied. "But first, what are you afraid of?" The answer to the question wouldn't affect Piper's power in any way, because, after all, she couldn't make them feel an emotion because of something. The ability only could control the emotion flat-out.

Piper was simply just curious of the Enya's response.
