Roleplay will begin when five slots are filled.
Piper sat in the lunch room, and sat at a table alone. She was early due to her teacher dismissing her early from her earlier class. Because she was a new student, she felt nervous and was scared about who would sit with her, and whether they would be friendly or another band of bullies like the one at her old school. Piper looked around at the other students in the lunch room, seeing a few that caught her eye. Enya, a pretty girl, made her feel jealous inside. She sighed, curiously wondering what power she had.

Enya filed into the lunch room with the crowd that was her grade level, practically beaming with excitement as there had been a rumor that a new student joined the Broadville body and she was nothing less than eager to introduce herself. She sighed as she scoured the Cafeteria, growing impatient with how many seconds it was taking, seeing no new faces, until a girl with long, radiant, red hair filled her view. That's the new face you've been looking for. Enya hoisted her bag over her broad shoulders and started to move in the new girl's direction, no doubt smiling from indulging in the possibilities of having a new friend. Maybe she likes puppies, OH or maybe she doesn't like chocolate, Ooorr maybe she DOES... Her thoughts rambled on and on in her head, when the new girl glanced over at her. Enya couldn't place it when they locked eyes, was it contempt? Or rather envy? A chill ran down her spine when they had crossed, but Enya was quick to brush it off, thinking of it only as the roller coaster of nervousness that was meeting new people. When she reached the table she sat right down next to Piper and gave the warmest smile she could think of giving.

" Hi, My names Enya. It's a pleasure to meet you. "

Castalia slowly walked into the cafeteria. Her ominous turquoise eyes flitted about as her heart raced.

Thoughts raced through her mind as one by one threads of the possible future strung out in front of her. She glanced over at Piper and Enya and saw the yarn unravel into a moving photo. She nimbly closed her eyes. She knew by now not to snoop in other people's futures. Mostly it just disturbed everyone - even her.

Castalia slid into a chair at an empty table near the window. Dreamily spacing out while looking at the trees, she soon shook with disappointment as a forest fire dissolved the nature in flames. That was one of the reasons she often looked so unhappy: she had to see tragic things every day just to avoid running into a wall.

Taking a large bite of her juicy apple, Castalia began to wonder what today would be like as she slowly drifted into her imagination.

Piper almost looked away, but then realized that the brunette was approaching her. She was smiling at Piper, and that made her slightly nervous, but also excited, because there could be an opportunity to make her first friend at Broadville High. She looked into the large brown eyes of the girl as she greeted her and introduced herself. Knowing that she was a new student, she became aware that she was to expect a lot of these new people welcoming her. She made a mental note of that.

After the girl introduced herself, Piper held out her hand and smiled back, trying to look pleasant. In fact, she used a little bit of her power to make this new girl like her a little bit more.

"I'm Piper. It's nice to meet you too."

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw another girl enter the lunch room and glance at her and Enya quickly. "So many pretty girls here," Piper thought. Again, she wondered what her power was and was eager to find out.

" I'm Piper. It's nice to meet you too " A hand was thrust out in front of Enya and without a second to think she engaged in a firm handshake. In that moment Piper looked to be just a little more appealing. She was sweet, no doubt a caring friend, and this only made Enya only that much more eager to please. Another chill ran up her spine and she shook it off. Since when was this school so chilly. Enya thought, oh so briefly before another thought encased her mind.

"Sooo... What's your ability? " Enya asked idly, looking over casually to gauge Piper's reaction. A little out of the blue question, but it was not a new fact that everyone's abilities, whatever made them unique and stand out, always fascinated Enya. Even if she wasn't so fond of hers, doesn't mean she couldn't satisfy her curiosity and admire whomever she pleased.

The question took Piper a little off guard, because nobody had ever asked her that question straight-forward like the way Enya did. After she shook off the little bit of nervousness she felt, she straightened her back and broadened her shoulders. This wasn't to make herself appear confident as one might think, but more to reassure herself that there was no need to feel anxiety in this situation. "Everybody has powers here, no need to feel insecure about yours," she thought to herself.

"Uh, my power is the ability to control others emotions and the way they feel about others," Piper said, trying to keep her voice from wavering. "I can, uh, make others feel happy or sad, or make people like or dislike one another or myself. What's yours, if you don't mind me asking?"

Enya rested her head on her hand leaning against the round wood table that the two of them were sitting at, practically jumping out of her skin from sheer excitement when Piper had decided to tell her, she smiled at what it could possibly be, but she was prepared to listen intently to whatever the curious girl had to say. Enya watched as the girl took a deep breath and told her that she could control emotions. But her voice was wavering slightly.

Enya simply sat mouth practically agape when she heard the news. " That's incredible! I mean, think of the possibilities and just think of how amazing your power is in comparison to most, I mean its just, simple amazing. How aren't you standing on the tables shouting to the world that you can do what you do? " Enya was almost out of breath from how she was, moving her arms in hand gestures here and there and speaking using only the utmost of respect. She almost forgot the question that was asked to her in the first place.

" Oh, and I uh " But she shrugged off telling Piper her ability, who's ever heard of the good guy controlling fear anyways? " You know what, my power is not important, pretty boring if you ask me. " She responded using a so-so hand gesture, trying to divert the conversation from her ability. But she leaned her head back on the table and shone a smile. " Question number 2 Ms. Piper. Where are you from? "

Mizu poked his head into the cafeteria as he did every day. ' hmm… nope nothing fun happening, not today' he thought. Mizu slowly strolled into the cafeteria. ' I wonder if the rumors are true. New student or not I don't have time to look.' Mizu was thinking as he sat down at a table near the back of the lunch room. He pulled out a new martial arts book and began to study.

A new school year...

New friends...

New teachers....

Ava-Joy thought to herself she she entered the cafeteria. It was bustling with students and chatter. She couldn't help but smile. She blew her long orange hair out of her face and moved over to sit at the end of a table. There were only a few girls sitting at it and she didn't want to seem awkward so she sat down about 3 feet awak. They were in the midst of a conversation so Ava-joy thought it'd be best not to interrupt. She smiled to herself ad began to eat her lunch.

Piper watched as Enya rambled on about how great her power was. She was flattered, but knew Enya was only being this kind because Piper had used her power. That was the downside of her power - knowing that others were nice to her only because she made them. One of her dreams was to find someone who truly loved her, not just because of her ability.

Piper pulled her index finger up to her lip to motion that Enya needed to quiet down. "I don't need everyone here to know about my ability," she thought. She glanced over to Castalia, who was now eating an apple. That was one of her worries when she found out that she was moving to a new school. New girl, new school - everybody is going to want to know about her powers. Piper was immensely terrified of this.

A blush rose to Piper's cheeks as Enya continued her long-winded talk of her power. When she finished talking about Piper's power, she started to answer Piper's question about her own power. "Oh, and I uh," she spoke, " You know what, my power is not important, pretty boring if you ask me." This took Piper off guard because she had thought if she told Enya her power, Enya would in turn tell Piper her power. She decided to verbalize this.

"Hey, I told you my power, you don't have to be afraid to tell me yours." She smiled, and used a bit more of her emotional manipulation in hopes that Enya might be willing to tell Piper he power. "I'm from a small town in Connecticut, but that's not too important," she said, smiling again.

As she finished her sentence, two other students joined the cafeteria - a boy and a girl. The girl, with gorgeous curly orange hair, sat at the table next to them. Piper waved tentatively, hoping that she was friendly.

Ava-Joy looked up and smiled. She was actually quite happy the girl waved at her. She looked friendly. Ave waved back and scooted closer. "H-Hi. I'm Ava-Joy."

Enya simply waved her off. At this point in time she didn't want to monologue about her discovery of her powers, and she hardly knew what she could do herself. No matter how much she wanted to tell her, oddly enough, she didn't want it interfering with her dreams. Once you say it out loud, its like its irreversible now. Enya mused, putting on a sullen face for a brief second. " Connecticut, huh? My aunt is from Fairfield, if you've lived by it. Connecticut is a pretty uneventful state if you ask me. "

Enya could see that her attention was draw elsewhere when she waved. She looked over to see a girl with bright red hair alike Pipers with mesmerizing curls, and a boy who had just picked up a book. It almost baffled her that Piper was the only new kid she had heard about. When the girl had waved back she was just as excited as when she met Piper.

Thrusting out her hand to the timid Ava-Joy she responded with " Hey, my name 's Enya and it is a pleasure to meet you. Don't be shy, I promise I won't bite. " She beamed.

Piper was puzzled when Enya simply shrugged her off. It made her even more interested in finding out Enya's powers, but she didn't want to push her too hard. After all, they had only just met. "But, how bad could her powers be?" Her inner monologue spoke. Ignoring the voice inside her head, Piper began to respond to Enya's next question. "Boy, she is a bubbly girl."

"Yeah, I know Fairfield. It's a nice place," she said, grinning once more. "I'd have to agree with you on the boring factor though. Not a very interesting location."

After Piper waved, Enya began introducing herself to the other girl, who she assumed to also be new. After Enya finished speaking, she also introduced herself.

"I'm Piper," she said, trying to be confident around the other new girl. Piper didn't want to appear weak, because her powers didn't exactly give her much defense as opposed to other people's powers. "What's your name?"

"Ava-Joy. And yours?" She asked, brushing her hair away from her face. Her face was tinted with a light pink blush. She was so happy! She had never made friends do easily before.

Enya looked happily before the two of them talking and such, but she always found herself looking to the back few tables where the boy that entered came. He was so enveloped in his book, and she was shocked that she didn't know the school student body completely by now. While she was deep in thought she debated going over and saying hi, before ultimately coming to the conclusion that she should stay and do her best to make the new students feel at home. But that didn't stop her from looking over. Maybe he'll be in a class of mine. One could only hope.

"That's a pretty name!" she exclaimed. "My name is Piper. Are you also new here?"

Piper turned away from Ava-Joy for a moment to follow Enya's gaze. She was looking at another boy across the lunch room, who was deep inside a book. He was quite handsome, and she could sense Enya's yearning to walk over and talk to him. When she realized Enya was going to stay with her and Ava-Joy, she turned back to the shy girl before her and waited for her answer.

"Yeah. I'm liking the school so far. It's really big. " Ava-joy paused for a moment. "If you don't mind me asking, what is your power? I'm Nature Manipulation." She added at the end, so that Piper knew it was even and just friendly conversation.

"Wow," Piper said, her mouth opening slightly in amazement. "That seems like a really cool power to have. Is there, like, any limit to what you can manipulate? That's just extraordinary." She was absolutely bewildered by Ava-Joy and her powers. Piper thought that her own power was incomparable, because Piper felt that physical powers were greater than conceptual ones, but that was just her.

"My power is emotional manipulation," She added. "As in, I can control what people feel in general and about others."

" Nature manipulation? That's incredible. " Enya was about to go off on a rambling tangent again when she remembered how loud she had gotten the last time she spoke highly of someone's power. It was safe to say she was a little bit of an avid fan of other's abilities. " You guys and your amazing abilities, I think this is going to turn out to be a fantastic year. New transfer kids and ones with mind boggling capabilities, trust me you guys are going to love it here. " Enya looked down at her watch to see that they had only a few moments left of the lunch period. She signed ambiguously and looked back up to the two that she was conversing with.

Ava-Joy blushed at Piper and the other girl's awe over her powers. "Aw, thank you. I'm flattered," She thanked genuinely. She turned to answered Piper's question. 'And yes, there are limits to my powers. It's easy for me to pass out from using too much energy on my powers. One time, I fell into a coma because the energy I used was deathly high." She looked down as she remembered that night. She was terrified. And it stilled scared her. "Emotion Manipulation is really cool too."

Ava-Joy looked over at the other girl, realizing she didn't know her name. "Hey, I never asked but what is your name?"

" The name 's Enya Williams, Jazz enthusiast, Family of 7, and a member of the school paper. It's a pleasure to finally meet your acquaintance. Well.. At least officially. " Enya smirked at her own comment and proceeded to lean forward on the table, head in the palms of her hands resting her arms on the table, propping her up. " What're your next classes? If we don't have them together the least I can do is show you around. Also, how does that nature- thing work? I mean, can you grow a lemon out of anywhere or you need vines on hand. " She began to gesture to all the things she was seeing in her head, all the potential, trying to almost convey it using hand gestures. To be fair it just looked like she was moving her hands wildly, but Enya made sure her smile never ceased to prove that she was all too eager to know.

Ava-Joy giggled and replied to Enya's amusing questions. "I can grown them from anywhere. I could continue to grow them if there is a vine present, too. Either way would work. Same goes for another fruit or vegetable. And my next classes, I believe, are Math, Science, and Language Arts. What about you?"

Enya took in the information with the same fascination and brooding as a child, trying to picture the scenario where things would apply. "Hmm" she mused to herself. She snapped back into reality when the second question was asked to her. Enya pulled out of her pocket a folded up piece of paper that was her schedule. Crinkled and worn she read it off to her small audience of two.

" Class A training, History, and Language Arts. Looks like we have English together. " Enya hmmed to herself as looked at the paper

"Hm, wonder what my training is...." Ava-Joy pulled out the same sheet of paper and read off her full schedule. "World History, Class A training, MAPS, Creative Writing Math, Science, andLanguage Arts. Hm, guess I got here late since I missed Training..." She sighed disappointedly and put the sheet of paper away. "What about you, Piper?"

"I have Creative Writing, Language Arts, Biology, and Class A Training," Piper said, looking down at her schedule paper. She smiled, knowing that she would have some classes with her new friends. "I'm glad to have some classes with people I know; going to a new school can be very intimidating."
