Futuristic Brain Burger

"You sure she's still in the shower? She went in there about an hour ago." He said, raising an eyebrow and smiling for a moment while he rubbed the back of his head. (@Soul OMU)

He nods to her and then makes his way to Annie's room, knocking on the door a few times before opening it up and peeking his head inside. "Annie...?" He calls out softly. (@Soul OMU)
 
Annie sitting at the desk, working on something and groans in annoyance. "Ugh! This is so much harder then I thought it would be.." she said to herself as she looked around for the part she needed with her one good arm. (@DrTrollinski)
 
He slowly walks inside and stands beside the desk. ".. You... Need some help...?" He asked her, looking down at the severed section of her arm. (@Soul OMU)
 
".. Hey--.. I just came to check on you. Uh... How's your wound doing?" He asked her, glancing down at the parts on the desk.

Annie spins around in her chair. "It's fine, it starts to throb here and there but nothing I can't handle." she said before stopping her chair and sitting back straight to work on the arm again.
 
He nods a couple of times. "I see... I mean, we made work of whatever we had here and we managed to stabilize it... I just wanted to make sure you're okay because I can imagine that it was a very traumatic experience. Just remember that even if this does make things harder for you, we're not just gonna' throw you out if you're not able to do somethin', y'know?" He cracked a humored grin for a moment and took a deep breath. "Just let me know if there's any concerns and I'll do whatever I can - It's my job around here, after all. You manage to get it all bandaged back up by yourself?" He asks her, giving a friendly smile. (@Soul OMU)
 
Annie shrugged slightly. "Sorta kinda... I have Brie help me when she was awake.. Also... It was... I mean I was mostly shocked by the leeches.. not from losing my arm... I was... so scared of what was going to happen to me and if I was going to turn...Especially with Hunter there... I was scared for him because I wouldn't want him to get turned or thrown out because of me... Because I know he'd go with me if I was thrown out... I don't know why thought... Because apparently I need to be protected... and I'm better then some... other girl... Sara..." she said while looking out the window. (@DrTrollinski)
 
".. I wasn't gonna' throw you out. Even if you were infected I was gonna' let you stay here - I'd rather have someone out of my people go through death in more comfort rather than die runnin' from the things out there." He'd seem a little bit choked up for a minute but forces a smile at her while he walks over and places a comforting hand on her shoulder, sighing. "I'm glad you pulled through, Annie. I mean, we had our disagreements when you first got here but... Generally you're a good person, and good people are quite rare nowadays." He squeezes her shoulder for a moment and then walks back to the door; he walks out but turns back to face her. "Let me know if you need anythin'." He said with a smile, he then wandered off downstairs and joined Ellie in the kitchen; he picked up the cup of tea she made for him and then sat down with her, gripping her hand while using his other to sip his drink.

Annie nodded as she sighed before focusing her attention back on the mechanical arm, she was working on and had almost finished but couldn't seem to focus now as she had brought up something that she had resolved with Hunter but knew it wasn't any of her business. Besides what should it matter if he had a girlfriend before... Except he kept comparing her to her... Which made Annie feel gross and upsetting.


Elizabeth smiles a bit as she sips her tea. "That's good to hear..." she said softly while holding her cup. (@DrTrollinski)
 
He chuckles under his breath. "I can see why you drink so much of this tea - it's very good..." He takes another sip. "Or maybe it's just the way you make it... Who knows?" He gave a playful shrug and wink at her, grinning for a few moments. "How's Brie doin' anyway... You told me she was pretty torn up about Nathan earlier on." He asked. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth smiles a bit as she was in the middle of taking a sip of her tea before putting it down. "Maybe yes, maybe no.. Who knows." she said teasingly before thinking for a moment. "She's... doing better, the last time I saw her she was reading Sword in the Stone." she said and took a sip. (@DrTrollinski)
 
"Heh... That's good. Even though she's only been here a couple of days, I think Nathan really appreciates the company. I think he was gettin' a bit lonely. I mean, he spoke to Tony and Clay and Asha now and again, but... Not as much as he would have liked to, I don't think." He said to her, sipping on his tea again. (@Soul OMU)
 
"Yeah, I haven't really had the chance to get to talk to her yet. Maybe she could come and join us for tea a bit later, or somethin'." He says with a chuckle. "Hell, there ain't much else to do around here." He adds before laughing once again. "She's a very pretty girl though - she must have taken that trait from her older sister." He said in a flirtatious manner, looking up at Ellie and winking. (@Soul OMU)
 
"Heh. Maybe not. I was just bein' that big lovable idiot again." He said, squeezing her hand while finishing off his cup of tea. "I need to head out soon to get somethin', I shouldn't be too long, and it's a safe run - only a couple of blocks down. You don't mind, do ya', darlin'?" He asked, caressing her hand with one hand while holding it with the other. (@Soul OMU)
 
Elizabeth shakes head as she holds his hand with hers. "Of course not love.." she said softly while looking at him. "Just... be careful of those leech things... nasty little buggers." she said with a small smile on her lips but her eyes showing her worry. (@DrTrollinski)
 
"Heh, there ain't no man, woman, nor leech that's gonna' stop me from comin' back. I promise." He said, smirking at her with that sly grin and wink once again. (@Soul OMU)
 
"Heh. I may as well head out now... Is there anythin' you want me to grab you or Brianna?" He asked as he slowly rose from the table, still holding her hand. (@Soul OMU)
 
"In that case..." He quickly goes down on one knee and kisses the top of the hand he's holding, looking up at her. ".. My lady, I shall return to thou shortly." He said jokingly, laughing thereafter. (@Soul OMU)
