this is actually very true for Ishi. It's almost practice for her to empty a carton of beer before sleep while watching reruns on television.

As funny as it is, alcoholism is a coping mechanism, almost like escapism, for Ishi. Whether she drinks or not, she will remember all those bitter times in her life, but drinking just allows her to continue bearing it a little longer. There's probably some character development down the road where she finally stops relying on it completely and instead on something corny like friends and stuff.

If the kid turns out to be more competent with the Quirk, silent earthquakes would be pretty good. Right now, Shindou is just really good at shaking.
