BnB Nightmares

Deagan waves his hands apologetically and shrinks backs "nothing like that, it's just being twitchy comes with being small.... nice to meet you all again enjoy your stay", he checks over his shoulder and then quickly heads to the entrance.

"Good to know you three, kind strangers" She notices in turn the slight crack in the halfling's voice.
Aramis's reminder only helps her to reinforce her next action. Her eyes shine slightly as magical incantations are recited, only to interrup it with a scream.

"I APOLOGIZE DEAGAN! I DIDN'T MEAN TO COME AS OVERLY INTIMIDATING TO GOOD CHAPS LIKE YOUUU" Her voice travels loudly through the street.

"Cough cough. That should do it" Her gaze comes back to Aramis. "I just got called for a 'Job' here, Aurelia above, I hope I get to do any of the things you have just spoken about"

Aramis looks at Deagan while he goes to the mansion

"I guess that makes sense" He looks back at Camilla "Well, I hope ye enjoy yer stay here either way. Ye too, mister Amadeus"

Kharam rises to his feet. "If my sight has not betrayed me, I plan to stay," he says, as he picks up his pack with a grunt of effort and hobbles to the manor proper.

A young looking woman with dark skin, yellow eyes and black leather armor walks around this place, with a sleepy cat on her arms, which she pets. She goes by the place with a half smirk, looking for something or someone to ask directions

Noticing the arrival of this new traveler and her curiosity for those around the mansion, the cloaked kitsune will speak first.

"You too were called to come to this mansion?" An amiable, albeit fang showing, smile is well placed on her face.

The woman takes a look at whoever talks to her, and so the cat on her arms, looking like demanding an explanation about why the pats ended "Why yes, sweetie. May I help you?" She then notices the fangs on her mouth, and looks with interest

"Oh no, to the contrary I wanted to see if I could help." She shakes her head and points towards the manor.

"I guessed that you were called here like me and a few others and before going in... I wanted to confirm it" The big kitsune lady shrugs her shoulder

Kharam enters the manor, immediately taking a moment to take in the interior details of the place.

The long road had taken its toll on Tybalt‘s horse. He took in the mansion as it was a majestic sight to behold. While he preferred the comfort of his forest, he was far from home now. It was best to turn into a proper inn. The chubby pig sitting in his lap snorted and whined with hunger. He smiled and pet the sow. “It’s alright Tammy we’re almost there. I’ll make a nice bed of hay for you.”

He unsaddled his horse and fed both of his beasts before deciding to enter the inn. The others would see a fey-touched human enter armed to the teeth with sword, shield, and spear. His pitch black hair was unkempt as well as his short patchy beard. He had a square jaw and long thin ears.

Tybalt scanned the room looking for an attendant to hand over the gold to for a room. He was a stranger here and didn’t know the customs. There were people conversing. His heavy boots creaked the floorboards.

“Excuse me. Is the innkeeper here?” He asked. His tone was flat, and a stark difference from how he talked to his pet. Tybalt had a difficult time with people and often chose to be seen and not heard.

A round little man awaits you all inside, at the doorway between the foyer and the rest of the manor. He has brown hair and a brown mustache that he twirls when he isn't looking at his pocket watch...um magic powered pocket watch. He is dresseed in a red vest and red trousers. Something about him makes you think butler or grounds keeper. When you are close enough he asks "Are you here in response to my posts in the golden goose tavern in the nearby town asking for someone to investigate Lady Scarlet's dissapearance?"

"Yes," Kharam lies. Or does he? He came here to find purpose. He knew nothing of postings at the local watering hole or other place of social gathering and consumption, but he had talents in fields that could be applied to the freshly-revealed mystery.

Tybalt knew not of this golden goose. He had come from far away in search of the one who gave him the silver cross he’s worn since birth. He knew it was the key to finding his place of origin. Someone revealed he was in need, and Tybalt was made aware of Lady Scarlet’s disappearance.

“I am here if you need help. All I ask in return is room to rest for my friends.” He spoke to the rotund and stately gentleman. He had an air of authority that Tybalt trusted. The friends in question were his horse and truffle pig.

“I am called Tybalt. Tell me about this Lady Scarlet,” he didn’t ask so much as demand an answer.

The rotund man replies "Yes. We can do that provided you rid the manor of pests."

"Lady Scarlet is the owner and proprieter of this establishment. I am her stewart and as of late, grounds keeper. The aforementioned pests ate all the livestock and drove away the other staff."

With her gray tails behind, the cloaked Lady steps into the manor. Her big frame looking over the steward of the place. Having overheard the conversation contents she will ask:
"Rats and bugs big enough to make a lot of servants escape?"
Camilla's golden eye look around the place:
"Has anyone died to them?"

Aramis enters the mansion as well, looks at the man, then around the room

"If there's something I hate, it's pests, in any sense of the word. I'll help you rid this place of them"

"You'll find out what manner of pests as soon as you step through this archway." The man moves aside.

Tybalt stretched his arms out and got his shield. The bastard sword would suit him well here, he thought. His spear might come in handy but he didn’t know what to expect, plus there were others around him apparently also seeking to save the lady of the manor.

“I’m going in there. Stay back where you won’t get hurt,” he spoke as if giving an order to the others whom he planned on keeping safe. He knew not of their own combat training nor could he stop them from doing as they pleased. He would march on ahead seeking out vermin.

"Oh no, to the contrary I wanted to see if I could help." She shakes her head and points towards the manor.

"I guessed that you were called here like me and a few others and before going in... I wanted to confirm it" The big kitsune lady shrugs her shoulder
"Oh, that. In that case, yes I been called. So this is the manor, hm?" She clicks her tongue and releases the cat not without petting it first "Well, I guess is time to say goodbye, sweetie. Nice to meet you" She then dismisses the cat and replies the kitsune "So you been called as well, hm? May I know your name?"

The rotund man said, "I would have been happy to watch your cat."

Kharam, as if completely oblivious to the farewells and well-meaning warnings of others, walks side by side with the rest of them passed the threshold.

Aramis ignores the man's warning and follows him in, waving the little man goodbye as he goes past the archway, and then signaling the others to follow
