Fantasy Blood That Binds

Hiemler:

As I wandered and did some light mongling with others that were here I soon found myself wandering into thought about why it is that we are all here for this occasion. I looked around and found our host and decided to confront her as to her purpose to this meeting. "Excuse me madam" I said as I made a light bow.

I raised my glass as he raised his, and he was right I felt it right away. I then motioned to Effy "we tracked her further into town and now we have her scent and her blood, if she has a brood she will lead us to it" I took another drink after this "and that's when things get interesting"

Quentin nodded in agreement. "It would get interesting indeed. Just be wary of that Hunter...He's damn persistent and pretty good," he took another long draw from his drink, "I'll have Monica give you her contact info, and if anything comes up that you two need assistance with you can call her, and if I'm available I'll come and if not she'll assist.

Ophelia couldn't seem to find the young halfling that she hat met earlier. Even the thrall seemed to have vanished. As she searched now becoming a bit frantic she heard a voice. Upon turning around she noticed the gentle faced man she had met earlier. She curtsied in respose to his bow and looked to him. "Yes? Is there some way I can help you?" She said speakly soft and kindly.

Hiemler:

I looked at the beautiful woman and made not of her search for someone. "I was wondering what exactly why it is that you decided to bring us all together this night" I looked around and motioned to everyone in the room, referring to what I had said earlier. "It isnt often that this many of us are brought together in one place"

"Oh I am terribly sorry." Ophelia said to him. "I didn't realize what time it was. I do indeed need to make an announcement. Pardon me." She then curtsied to him and then left to head for the stage. Once there the music stopped playing, and she paused for a moment to take a look at the crowd. She wasn't sure how many of these vampires would be willing to take part in her affairs, but she did pray there would be some, even if they were few. "Pardon me, ladies and gentleman. It is time that I brought your attention as to the reason I invited you all here tonight." She spoke to them all, calm and steady. Standing with confidence, and what sense of power she could summon. "It is true, this is no simple ball. My name is Ophelia Beaumont, before my rebirth my family was made of wealthy merchants, and sometime after it I inherited all of their fortune. But what value do riches have if one can live forever. I recently have found a cause worth donating my wealth to. I have invested in the development of an blood synthetic." She paused, as she heard the whispers fill the room. "Yes, artificial blood. Some of you may not be sure as to why I do this, and some may have already caught on." Pausing once more, Ophelia closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Her final thought on William, and the continued. "With the creation of a blood synthetic it would be more than possible for our kind to become one with humanity. No longer have to live in fear of them, or striving to wipe them out. We could join hands and live in harmony." She felt uneasy, a shake was beginning to build in her body. "For those of you who agree with me, I thank you. For those that do not. I mean you no harm or ill will. My final is that my large home is open to those of you who have no home. There are many empty rooms in this place, and I'm willing to offer them to those of us who are nomadic as a place to rest with no need to run." After she was done she left the stage in silence. The room filling up with music once more. Though now the crowd was not as cheery, the entire room had a different feel and Ophelia could sense it.

John made it back to his house after properly disposing of the corpse in the trunk of his car, it had indeed turned out to be an interesting night. There seemed to be a lot of activity out tonight and still more that he didn't know. The Vamp had said that there were wolves about that area, and at the time he was in no mood to here what it had to say, but seeing at though those shots rang out from the rooftops under the cover of darkness...maybe it wasn't an entirely bogus claim. Wolves and Bloodsuckers all in the same area, blatantly fighting it out in the street, now things were starting to get very interesting. Once inside he went to his office and marked down on the map where he had encountered the Vampire, approximately where they had their standoff, and marked that there were possibly wolves in that area. No harm in checking out her story, after all. he thought to himself as he stared at the map. The night was still young, and he knew that evil never slept, so he might as well get back out there and check on things. Should I concern myself or go after that Vampire? She's wounded right now, which would greatly benefit me, so perhaps I'll go after her and deal with the wolves later. Or should I locate the wolves for now and deal with the walking corpse another time? So many monsters...good thing I have enough bullets he thought as he grabbed a rifle, a shotgun, and two more pistols, which he strapped to both his legs. He wandered into his kitchen and made a quick large cup of coffee before taking it with him and heading for the door and getting back into his ride. "This is getting tedious, I could really use the help of some other hunters...could really use some young blood around this place," he admitted aloud as he got into the driver's seat and started the engine. He would obviously never admit it in front of company but having some youth on his side would make this job a lot easier, not that they would be better hunters than him, but youngsters had a way of bringing out the youth in this seasoned vet. Perhaps with some younger understudies he could get that spark back while at the same time being able to help them out and sharpen their skills, plus he doubted there was a young hunter out there that had done even half of the things that he has accomplished. He pulled out of his driveway and headed back to where he had originally been, he was going to walk the streets and see if he couldn't find his wounded friend, but decided instead to check on this wolves theory that the vampire mentioned. If the monsters were helping to eradicate each other than why not oblige them, killing two birds or even one was better than coming back home empty-handed.

Effy listened to the men and sat with them. She nodded at the girl who brought them drinks then looked at Quentin and smiled "that sounds good." She took a sip from the drink that the girl brought. Effy let out a quiet sigh to show she liked it. She hadn't had alcohol in a long time so she let it sooth her.

Malkavian was roaming the streets after a hours sleep. All the peoole around him walking about their short lives, and bussing themselves with their mundane tasks. Malkavain headed down the street in the direction of the bar. He walked passed the bar, and into the allyway beside it where the murder had taken place. Kneeling infront of the scene he bagan to investigate looking for any sign, scent or material object that could help lead him to the murderer. He knew it was a she by the scent of the bite mark when he was in the underground tunnels with the beta monica. His eyes glowed red as he kicked his lycan senses into high gear pick pick up any small detail.

Naomi sighed and stayed at the ball for a little while longer then started on her way home. She walked past the bar from across the seat. She picked up the smell of a few wolves and her pace fastened but she looked like a normal person. She eventually got home and changed into normal clothes and sat on her couch with a books

Hiemler:

I stood there and listened to her announcement and a quiet whispers fell over the crowd, many would not support this action, They were to set in their way of preying and playing with the lives of mortals. This could change the entire worl, and yet in the wrong hand could destroy it all. I walked up to out host once again. "is an interesting proposition that you bring up here"I looked around and saw some people actually leave just because of what she had just said.

Pedr:

Just as I was about to speak I heard our host make an announcement. "looks like we might have a problem" I half whispered to Lady Rose. "or a solution" I looked to the other two vampires we had been talking to, some would never understand what it was that we were trying to do. The ascendancy of the vampire race was at stake here.

Ophelia sighed disheartened by some of the guests leaving the ball. She then turned to the man she had been speaking to previously. She curtsied, "Unfortunately it would seem an unfavorable proposition." She told him. She continued to watch some guests leave, while some stayed and some whispered among themselves. Perhaps this man, considering his presence with her now would be interested in what she was trying to do.

Rose's expression was stone cold, "It would seem so." She stated. She also turned to the vampire twins they had been talking to. "Quite the interesting announcement." She said, her face and voice becoming innocent again. "Though perhaps a not so inviting one to vampires such as ourselves hmm?"

Hiemler:

"An undying race who have never had to change to survive, it is natural for them to fall into what they know already, and shun away all else that says otherwise." As I spoke I noticed that some had stayed, even if it might be for the sole purpose of the meal they had received, or they enjoyed the company of those that were like them, in some respects at least. "It is not a wrong vision of the future, it might even be a better one for mankind then they will ever know"

"I appreciate your words." Ophelia said the man, "Pardon me, but I seem to have forgotten your name." She looked at him honestly a little embarrassed at her forgetfulness however she had introduced herself to many different vampires tonight and it was not surprising that she would forget a couple of the names. She looked him over for a quick moment, he was a friendly looking man with a smooth friendly voice. She wondered about his human life, who he was and how he came to be one of them.

Hiemler:

I meet eyes with her and I kissed her hand such is polite "Hiemler Fredric my lady" I told her as I bowed and released her hand. Large gatherings like this were always a thing to get use to. "I hail from the Holy Roman Empire, a son of Prussia" She was ornately dressed such as most of our kind were, that and she had quite a number of servants about her mansion. They didn't seem like thralls, so this means that she actually thinks that this might work.

Malkavian caught the scent he needed, and decided to roam the streets for any creature that deserved punishment. His hunt could wait till the new day came. Roaming the streers he siphoned through the various smells waiting for any sign that trouble or a evil deed that was underway. He hungered from the hunt earlier, but he could stave of till later.

"Ophelia Beaumont, as I'm sure you already know." She said replying to him. "To call it such you must be far elder than I in immortal years." She stated, making a polite question at his age. "Please, do tell me your opinion on all this. If I'm going to get anywhere with it I need criticism." She said to him with a smile. He was a gentle but stern looking man and she felt he could be trusted. The emotions coming from him were quizzical and peaceful.

Angel wandered the streets for a new meal. However her weak state made her irritable, which made her picky about her meal and she was struggling to find anything that seemed any amount of decent. She also would be in need of new clothes. Her once pure white dress was covered in blood stains from her now nearly healed wounds. "Damn mutts." She muttered under her breath switching this way and that in alley ways.

Malkavian could not sence any immediate threats. He turned walking the streets of liverpool. As he turned the corner he discovered he had made his way back to the street housing the pub of wolves. He decided it would be best to let this areas alpha know of his presence here. Walking to the pub he crossed the streets then stepped infront of the pub. Opening the door he looked around for the alpha hopeing he was there.

Quentin didn't mind this bunch at all and had Monica bring over a second round for them, all the while wondering what possibly became of that vampire they had all tracked and wondering if that Hunter decided to call it a night or not. He wasn't particularly interested in the vampire as much as the Hunter, because this particular one was relentless and ruthless. Not the kind of man that you wanted on your tail or fangs or whatever it is that you considered your finest asset. As Monica brought the second round to the table, a powerful scent caught Quentin's attention. Another one, huh? This night is getting interesting... he thought as he faintly recognized it as the scent that was very well hidden from them earlier during the hunt. He followed the trail of the scent to a man that had just entered, and flailing his hands about in the air as to drawn attention, he gestured for the man to join them. "It seems our hidden companion from earlier has decided to make an appearance." Quentin said to the others at the table.

Malkavian looked at the man before him. He acknowledged his invite and followed him. Given his stong scent he recognized him as the alpha here. Malkavian looked around at the other lycans noticing the ones that followed the alpha. He looked at monica, and bowed his head slightly in a polite acknowledgement.

Monica held back rolling her eyes and nodded her head back in acknowledgement, and with that she headed outside to catch some fresh air. She had been a little on edge tonight and all this bustling excitement and other wolves showing up was making feel uneasy. She knew something was amiss and felt that Quentin was being too relaxed about the situation, and it was driving her mad. Such a naïve idiot! she grinned as she leaned against the outside of the pub. She found it humorous how he was able to see a silver lining and some of the worst circumstances, but it irritated her because she wasn't really able to read the man because of how he carried himself...and the fact that he was so indecisive at times didn't help her get a better grasp of the man, but she would follow him to the deepest pits of hell because she knew that somehow he would manage to find a way there and back.

++++++

Quentin extended a hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Quentin." he smiled as he offered up his drink to the man. "Seems like tonight has been quite active," he looked around for a moment, "Not exactly sure what is going on, but clearly the vampires are up to no good. It's been a long time since I've had anyone...trespass on my territory, let alone make such a brazen kill on my grounds." Quentin thought about the events of the night and wondered just what those blood-suckers were thinking and what they were up to. They clearly had an agenda or perhaps he was over-thinking things and this was just a rogue vampire out for a nigh on the town, who didn't know where they had ended up. He decided that the latter was a possibility, but when it came to the dealings of vampires, it was best to check-up on all possibilities. They had a habit of doing their best work in the shadows but sometimes there were those that decided to do more than they should and make a spectacle to prove a point or just to show off every now and again.

Malkavian looked at the alpha quentin and slightly bowed his head " indeed the vampyre have congregated here in unusual numbers" he sat at the bar facing quentin and the others. Speaking to quentin " a gathering of there kind has hardly ever bin a good thing, and given recent events in Liverpool id say they are forgetting they are not the only ones to roam the night." He said in a strong ferm tone. Of all his years he had seen only to occasions were vampyre tried to create a stable peace. Unfortunately they never worked out.
