Fantasy Blood That Binds

Pedr:

I took her hand in mine as we departed "My lady" I said as the help opened the door. A car pulled up just as we were walking down the stairs. tonight might be fun, who knows and we wont until we get there. I helped her into the car first and then I entered after her and we were soon off to the ball. "What do you think this one is going to be about?" I asked as we sat there waiting to arrive

Effie looked at Nicholo sadly "You can't over do yourself. Be careful. Please, I can't take another death" she let out a sigh, feeling her eyes get teary and waited for him to leave. She leaned against the railing of the deck and lowered her head so he doesn't see how sad she is.

Naomi heard someone walk by, talking about a ball. She remembered she had been invited to one, with a smile Naomi got up and started to head toward her house. But, being careful of who she passes. When she reached her home she dug in the closet and found one of her old dresses. She smiled again and slipped off her clothes, changing into her dress.

The drive took longer then plan as the car finally pulled up to the property, its wheels cracking the white pebble road beneath it. As they stopped the security pulled behind stepping out to let the twins. Madison was first taking a long stretch "mmm so good to get out of that car..." as Mason followed behind her simply nodding at her remark.

Walking up to the door Madison removed the letter and nodded to her brother. They waved the detail to stay with the vehicles as he knocked on the large entrance door. A large echo could be heard then went silent. Mason could hear the chatter of guests already enjoying the festivities. Looking to Madison "...Remember to be civil sister." as he removed a loose hair folding it back into her folded locks "...your the one who should be civil, don't get jealous if I should flirt with some of the men here." she winked in amusement.

The twins waited at the door till the host would greet them.

Ophelia then heard yet another knock at the door, "Please do pardon me." She said with another curtsy to Hiemler, the jewels on dress clinking from the movement. She quickly walked over to the large doors, straightening herself up before opening them. She looked to see and gentleman, and a lady, their resemblance rather striking. Could they be related? Ophelia had not often heard of family members being turned at the same time, but she let that thought leave her mind quickly. It would be rude to leave them standing there very long. "Greetings, please do come in." She stepped aside to allow them passage into her home.

It had been hours since the first guest arrived at the ball, and Mitse's plane was just landing. He had taken only a few hours to drive all the way across France at 160 kilometers per hour, even though his car's engine had exploded about halfway through the drive and he had to steal a new one. As soon as he got off the plane, he began a blind sprint towards the mansion's location, glancing once or twice at the invitation he now held in his hand.

When he arrived, he took note of how formal everyone was dressed, and became extremely embarrassed about his own clothing state. A gunshot wound, a baggy t-shirt and jeans weren't likely to make a very good first impression. Cautiously, he walked up the steps and knocked on the heavy doors.

Alexander's pace was rushed but casual, his long legs powering him forward with a faster momentum than his shorter companion. He tried to hide an amused smirk as Daniel half-jogged to keep up with him, rolling his eyes at the younger man's enthusiasm. He was actually quite surprised that the boy had managed to keep iti quiet for so long, but he had no doubt that it had all been about his plan. Daniel had been correct. If he had been warned about this event a couple of days prior, he would have vehemently refused any advances towards it. Springing it on him that very night and refraining from giving him any escape options, had been clever. He was proud of his friend, behind all of the disapproval. This was all in his best interest and knowing him, he would have tried to get to work as early as possible the next day. He was a halfling and was not restricted by the bounds of sunlight. He should have a life outside of the hospital.

The Beaumont Mansion was splendidly displayed before the pair of them and Daniel was suddenly very glad that they had decided to drop back home first to change into some nicer, formal clothing. It had been Alexander's idea and condition that they drag some of the more dusty tuxedos from the back of their wardrobes, dusted them out and donned them. They would suit the occasion well. Their carriage however, had been non-existent, a decision on the behalf of Alexander once again. They lived close enough to the scene of the ball that their walking would not take an hour long and the doctor/medical side of him had calculated the chance of alcohol. The man had seen enough drunk driving accidents to last a lifetime. Daniel had, once again, begrudgingly agreed. "Just knock?"

Alexander hummed in agreement, steeled his slightly frayed nerves and raised a white fist up to knock politely against the door. After all, he was just a half being amongst a sea of monsters and their host must be very confident to hold such an inviting ball. Werewolves would surely take up the offer and their two kinds had never gotten on so well. Not even the relationships between his own kind were of the nicest degree. A halfling and a thrall about to take on a night of immortals. He should have been more nervous if he had any sense, not only about him but also his human friend.

When Naomi was finished getting ready she took a taxi to the Beaumont Mansion. When she got out she looked at the building on awe. She saw a two men standing at the door. One very handsome. She shook her head and climbed the front steps, holding her dress up a little so she doesn't trip on it. "Hello" she nodded at the men. She took out her invitation from her purse and held it at her side. She sensed a little werewolf in the handsome man and she bit her lip, "my name is Naomi Pierce." She smiled at the halfling then at the human. "So you knocked already. I might as well not" she gracefully folded her arms in front of her and waited for someone to answer the door.

Madison curtsied as Mason bowed his head to the host. Her attire was elegant with white jewels like ice and skin fair to the moon light. Madison noted the small joy Mason was gauging from the host and proceeded to interrupt his vision as she introduced them. "A pleasure Lady Beaumont and greetings to you our gracious host." as Mason removed his hat in respect to her. "I am Madison Blackbourne and this handsome man is my brother Mason Blackbourne." as he simply smiled warmly back from the introduction "..A pleasure madam".

"I must say though a gathering such as this has been rare indeed I do hope its more then just for company." Madison smiled both to be kind but also intrigued. Mason simply kept quite as conversations such as these where best left to her. His eyes fell behind their host as he took note of the vast amount of guests and the assortment of arranged confections. Whatever was going on the ball itself seemed to hide a cause but for what he could not muster.

Nicholo:

If this was to be my path and mine alone so be it, this war wouldn't end itself. As I walked I started to notice more and more smells, some wolves and a vampire nearby. This would be an interesting night, pack hunters stalking prey, or lone wolves? With abnormal speed I sprinted off into the night towards the vampire. Soon I came close to where she was... yeah definitely a woman. The smell plus the perfume gave it all away, she was average height, brunette, and this was her unlucky night. She is most likely getting done with a hunt and heading home or heading to meet someone. The other two wolves were very close by but I wasnt focused on them, looking down I made sure I had a round in the chamber.

Effie frowned as he walked away she shook her head and went inside the cottage to get into some clothes, not even to bother getting dresses all fancy. She slipped on leggings and a tank top with a sweater. She put a pack of cigarettes in her pocket and ran to catch up with Nicholo. His scent was familiar anywhere so it wasnt hard for her to find him. She smelt the vampire too and narrowed her eyes, "i don't think she was one of the ones to fight us Nicholo..." She looked at him.

Quentin had arrived at the bar with his daughter in tow, being caught up on what was happening along the way. "Vampires think that they can just run around and do as they please? Some of them are getting a little too familiar around these parts." He frowned as he looked at Monica, "I need you to start being more careful, I told you that I needed to be here tonight," he sniffed the night air searching for the scent of anything not human, "Monica, stay here. Lucia and I will check the surrounding area for anything or anyone still in our territory," he looked back to Lucia, "Understand though, if you find any of them outside of our territory, leave them be. Don't pick a fight unnecessarily...that's my job." The beginning of that statement held authority but the last part was said joking, and he smiled and winked at his daughter before taking off into the night, he thought he caught the faint smell of wolves and heading in that direction. "A few strays perhaps...This night is too lively, I'm not liking this at all" Quentin thought, as he made his way to the scent of the two wolves, and perhaps even a vampire...there was clearly something stirring out there tonight.

++++++++++++++++

John thinks he may have found one, it was a woman, or at least wearing the outer shell of one. He had caught a glimpse of her an adjacent alleyway, and had a strong feeling that she wasn't at all what she appeared to be. She had the body of a breath-taking brunette and was probably somewhere in her early twenties and seemed to just simply be walking the streets minding her business, but John decided to follow her for a little bit just to make sure. He had done a bunch of jobs over the years and felt that somehow he had always been able to sense when something was off with someone, and he had yet to come across a scenario in which his senses had led him astray. He checked his weapons before exiting the alley and tailing the girl from a safe distance, he didn't want to give himself away but also didn't want her to be able to suddenly lose him either. "How Disgusting. To think that something so unnatural and vile could just walk amongst us unnoticed by the general populace," he thought as he walked passed and through people, "No one is the wiser that they are almost brushing shoulders with death. What's even more disturbing is how confident this one seems to be that it's safe just prancing around in the open like this."

Malkavian watched as what he senced was the alpha of the pack here. Hidden well from his vantage point on the tall building he heard his words. The alpha was leaving with his daughter thus previded malkavian with a opportunity. He could follow them, and examine how the alpha operated. He could also head into the bar from which they resided.

Contemplating his thoughts he decided it would not be best to confront the alpha presently as of yet. He decided he would enter the bar perhaps he could learn a thing or two then again perhaps not. Jumping into the alleyway with some noise made he walked into the street crossing it to be infront of the bar. He stood there sensing the other wolves within he held himself high as the alpha he was in his pack long aways from here. With a straight face, and calm demeanor he entered the bar. Walking to the bar's main area he sat on a stool as he waited to served.

Monica was a little pissed that Quentin, again, was leaving her out of something and taking his daughter instead, but she understood that she was supposed to stay back and man the bar. After getting rid of the mess that was left by some vampire she went back to her duties, and as she came back from the backroom, she sensed a very strong presence in the bar. "An Alpha?" she was surprised by the powerful presence that was being given off, and searched the room. It was a quick search though as the Alpha wolf placed himself up at the bar, and she slowly approached. She wasn't sure what she should do since she definitely wasn't in a position to tell off an Alpha, let alone an unknown one, and it was best not to insight an incident without her Alpha present. His domineering presence made her feel a little uneasy, but as the Beta of her pack she was use to the feeling. "Nice night out tonight, huh? What'll it be for you? First drinks on me." she said with a half smile. She knew she was already in the dog house with letting a patron die on her watch, but figured that being disrespectful to an Alpha would get her in even more trouble, even if she disliked the idea of engaging with any other Alpha than her own. "Seriously though, I can't believe I get left to do this...Lucia should be here taking care of this, not me!" she thought to herself as she awaited his request.

Malkavian smiled at the beta which approached him. He spoke in a tone that gave off power, but with respect behind it " indeed it is quite lovely this night. Im grateful for your hospitality I would like a wkd original vodka please" he said looking in the girls eyes.

Monica averted her gaze as she went to prepare his drink. "Coming right up" she said as she went to work. "I hate this. Do all Alpha's have this presence? It's pissing me off, but I can't even stare at this guy when he looks at me." She finished preparing the drink and placed it before him. "The name's Monica, by the way. So what brings you to these parts?" she was going to at least try to remain calm and respectful and hope that all was well here. She knew better, from experience, that angering or disrespecting an Alpha without being one yourself was stupid and dangerous.

Malkavian smiled sencing her uneasiness as well as her body language suggesting tension or anger. He looked at her calmy " do not worry monica if I was here to cause trouble I could easily of done so by know." He said with a tone hinting truth behind his words. He took a sip from the glass then set it down gently. He knew her uneasiness was from not only his presence being a alpha, but also something personal. However he was not her to endulge himself in her persobal affairs so he proceeded to speak his name in kind. Not brraking eye contact he spoke once more" pleasure to meet you Monica I am Malkavian everwood pleasure to make your aquatance." He said kindly.

Monica furrowed her brow at his statement. "I highly doubt Quentin, let alone me, would have allowed that," she made him another of the same drink and set it before him while making a shot for herself. "It is, however, good to see that all of you seem to think that you're some unstoppable force of nature. Then again, I guess that's why you guys are in that position in the first place." She stared back at him now as she took her shot. "Nice to make your acquaintance as well, Malkavian. Interesting name, Malkavian, so do you have a pack around here too? Or do you have some business with Quentin I'm unaware of?" she asked as she made herself another shot. She knew that there was no meeting scheduled since she would've been informed, but then again Quentin could've forgotten to mention it since he had been a little under the weather as of late.

Ophelia smiled warmly at the siblings, their emotions were difficult to pick up on, but calculating was the term Ophelia felt best suited it. "The pleasure is mine." She said to the brother who was a young handsome man. He looked much like a suitor her father would have picked for her those many years ago. She then turned back to his sister. "You are correct, this ball I've arranged is far more than a simple party. I have a grand announcement to make later on in the evening." She stopped talking for a moment as she heard another knock on the door. "Terribly sorry, if you will pardon me I have more guests to greet." She curtsied, and smiled before leaving them to go answer the door. Upon opening the door she realized there was a small group. A vampiress, a human boy and...she attempted to keep her eyes from widening. There was a halfling before her. She hadn't expected that at all, but depending on the circumstances he could become quite useful. She then realized that the young human man must be his thrall. She almost didn't noticed the young vampire boy, who was clearly injured and in casual dress. She would have to help him if she could. She could feel everything that came from each of them A interesting concoction of emotions and feelings, she quickly gathered her thoughts. "Greetings to all of you, I am Ophelia Beaumont I will be your hostess for the evening. Please do come in and make yourselves at home." She opened the door wider and stepped aside making room for all of them to come in. She turned to the younger vampire quickly. "You appear to be in some distress, if you come with me I can get you some help and a change of clothes." She smiled warmly attempted to calm his nerves. Then as she lead the way, gesturing for the young vampire boy that needed help she quickly stopped in front of the halfing. "I must say i am surprised, not many of your kind exist and I was not expecting to see one. If you don't mind I wish to speak with you later on in the evening. It is of great importance." She pulled away and turned back to young vampire. "Please, do follow me. We will get you fixed up as quickly as possible."

Rose's smile vanished, "I haven't the slightest idea." She stated plainly as she looked out the window. She looked over to him, "However, I will surely know the moment out host opens their doors to us." Her smile returned, just as wicked as it had been before. She was not concerned about this vampire hosts plans, so long as they did not interfere with her own. Although if they did present a problem, Rose had plenty of resources to solve that issue. She would let nothing stand in her way, not as she was drawing so close to getting what she wanted.

((Really quick note guys, that I failed to mention before. This Ball Ophelia is holding is vampires only. She didn't invite werewolves because of the bad history between the two races. Didn't want to risk making a mess.))
Angel continued to walk, still bored and growing more and more agitated by the second. Her mind traveled to a ball she had heard of, some old lonely vampire woman was hosting. The thought didn't excite her, she was in need of entertainment, but being around a bunch of stuck up vampires with superiority complexes was not her idea of fun. They could play pretend all they wanted, she knew the truth. They were nothing but animals. That's all it ever came down to. Tossing the idea of the ball aside she once again found herself at square one. What to do, what to do? She was about to give up and go on a killing spree simply to vent her frustration. Though the idea of wasting all that blood didn't work well with her either. It was then that she noticed something, she had been hearing it for awhile now but it only just reached her attention. A set of footsteps she could hear. It was coming from behind her, distant enough she hadn't noticed till now, but close enough that upon listening for a moment she realized they were keeping up with her. A smiled spread across her lips. Well, well what have we here? A mugger? A rapist perhaps? These thoughts excited her, she so loved to kill these kind. Her hunger built again as she continued her thoughts. She'd have to savor it, make it last. It was then another, far more exciting thought came to her mind. A hunter, could it possible be a hunter? Absolute thrill coursed through her veins. She was too excited to wait. With out turning around to take a look at her pursuer she turned down another street. She needed to get away, and lure them to her.

Malkavian smiled setting down his glass. He put his hands together looking at monica" my pack is long aways from here, and as for your leader I have no meeting with him. However I did come to see about a certain dead body draind of blood that was recently outside your bar." He stated with a stern face. Malkavian looked monica in the eyes " I was wondering if it would not be too much trouble to take a look at it?" He asked.

Nicholo:

"That she isnt, none of them are left, I made sure of it." thats when i noticed she had detected us. "she knows we hunt her, should we strike? or bide our time and let her think she has us where she wants us." we would have to pull back a long ways to make sure we were out of sight and mind while we tracked her. I gripped my rifle tight and focused in on her to see if there were any distinguishing traits or jewelry to see who she was.

Pedr:

As we arrived at our destination I stepped from the car and help out my hand for Lady Rose to take and help her out of the car. We walked to the door arm in arm as it always was when we were to attend such gatherings.Walking to the door i noticed the textures, colors, molding, and architecture of the house, it was very nice, not quite a castle but it was still nice. We got to the door and I knocked to see if our host was awaiting our arrival.

Monica wanted to say something smart and sarcastic back to him, but it seemed he knew of the incident that happened on her watch. She couldn't even look him in the face at this moment because he had brought up an incident that had happened when she was suppose to be in control. She found herself in a particular dilemma at the moment. An Alpha has requested her to do her duties and she is obligated to but she doesn't feel he had any clout here because, as he stated, his pack is far from here. She makes herself another shot and takes it and ponders on what the smartest move to make is....she eyes the other baristas and tells them to shut their mouths as she steps to the backdoors and motions for Malkavian to follow her. She leads him through the back of their bar, through Quentin's office, and down into their underground setup, where the body is setup on a table. "I don't see what you're gonna learn from a corpse, but make it quick. The last thing I want is for Quentin to see you down here, and don't even think of going any further than there because you will surely become an enemy of us, and that wouldn't be wise." She found it easier to be herself when she wasn't being stared down or looking directly at him, although she felt extremely vulnerable being in their underground system with some other Alpha. She also tried to hide how his intense gaze and demeanor affected her being...she figured she was failing but she knew for a fact that she wasn't gonna ever move from a Beta here, and possibly be replaced by his daughter, and she knew she definitely deserved more. She was loyal though and due to that fact she would carry out her duties to the best, if not better, than was expected than her, and plus she didn't even question that she could take whoever he had as a Beta...but she shook those thoughts as she stood on the opposite side of the table, showing him what he wanted to see.

As Angel went on down the streets something else occurred to her. The number of footsteps following her had changed, increasing by 2 sets. That meant she was being followed by 3 people now, these were odds that she was not fond of. She wasn't a brawler, she had no taste for large fights with numerous enemies. A smell now lingered in the air and she had to contain a hiss from escaping her lips. Wolves. Disgusting mutts. One of her pursers was certainly human, the other two wolves. The human would be in for a big surprise if these mutts meant business. This was no longer a game she wanted to play. She continued down the road as if she hadn't sensed anything different but made several turns, getting farther and farther away from busy streets.

Malkavian followed the girl down into the subterranean tunnles. He could sence all the girls uneasiness as well as some anger. He could ponder on what it was she was angered by, but he needed to focus on the task at hand. As they approached the area the body was layed out he could smell its stench of death.

When monica went around the table Malkavian came up to it. He looked at the man before him eyes glazed, and skin pale as death. He felt pitty for this unfortunate soul as he turned the head showing the bite marks of the neck. He examined them then leaned in inhailing deeply and slowly. After a moment he caught it the scent of a female vampire. He straitened back up looking at monica" did you happen to notice see who this gentleman walked out with?" He asked. He knew quite well monica most likely did not see his killer, but never hurts to ask.

Monica watched him as he examined the body, and as he raised his question, she couldn't help but growl irritably. "No, I didn't get a chance to see what undead bitch this idiot walked out with." She didn't like this man too much and wish she could teach him some respect in someone else's house, knowing full well that technically he had free reign if the Alpha wasn't present. She was definitely grateful that he didn't want any problems, because, as he said, he could definitely make a ruckus here and there may be little to nothing she could do about it. She was already in trouble for the body before her and it wasn't going to win her any points if she told Quentin that there had been another Alpha inside their tunnels that were meant for their use alone. "So if Quentin wanted to find you, how would he go about that? I don't wanna have to track you down myself, so feel free to help me out," her voice was clearly distressed and upset and angry.

Malkavian looked at monica, and gave a slight smile " if your pack leader so chooses to to see me give him this." He handed her a card that simoly had a number printed on it. He came up to her patting her shoulder before removeing his hand knowing that gesture would most likely trigger a unpleasent consequence. He looked in her eyes" you carry a heavy burden on your heart my dear. Be carful it does not consume you Id hate to see a strong dedicated soul such as yourself give into that burden." He said turning towerds the exit. He spoke over his shoulder " I do believe I have over stayed my welcome as such I will be leaveing. It was nice meeting you monica." With that he made his way back to the bar. Once outside he breathed the air outside and sighed. No matter how many years go by the smell of death never gets easier. He then proceeded to walk along the side walk.
