Fantasy Blood That Binds

Malkavian watched as the female vampire jumped up from the ground onto the roof top nearest him. She had not escaped the volly of bullets given her bleeding legs, but for good measure althought he knew it wouldnt kill her he took aim. Steadying his breathing, keeping absolutly still he focused on her back. All in one swift motion he fired at her from a great distance with his 44 magnum. The bullet soared through the air catching her in her shoulder blade. The bullet was made of pure silver though he had only a few. He then pulled back into the shadows away from sight jumping, and soaring through the air onto a distant billboard. He looked as the events unfolded before him.

As Angel ran she nearly flung forward as she was pelted in the shoulder, according to the searing pain it was indeed another silver bullet. She grunted in pain, but picked up the pace again. She'd have to deal with her injuries once she was at a safe distance. She quickly came to a busy square filled with people of the night life variety. She jumped down to the streets. The bullet wounds ached with burning pain and the longer they remained in her body the weaker she would get. She walked passed a cafe, not wanting to draw attention she stole an unsuspecting man's coat from a chair. She wrapped herself in it. It wasn't exactly camouflage, at least not to her wolf-like pursuers but it would have to do. She walked trying to find the more crowded areas to stick too.

Nicholo:

"looks like we have to really hunt her now." I said to the other two. it would be much easier to hunt her now that she was bleeding, that and it would seem our unknown guest was also hunting her, maybe an ally even. Now I was being he optimistic one, i thought to myself as I started running towards the smell of her blood. Your going to have to try a lot harder to get away from me. would our unknown guest still hunt her as we were? and what would happen once our prey is dealt with?

Quentin watched as the events unraveled, and wasn't at all surprise at the way things turned out. He was a little upset that the vampire got away but he had something else to think about. He had to decide between going after the vampire or last shooter, and the vampire was the most pressing matter. She was bleeding now and he had the scent of her blood and decided to go for it. "I'll catch up with you guys later. Come around the bar sometime and just let Monica or my daughter that you know me." With that said he took off after her, trailing from a distance.

+++++++++++++

John was shocked by the hail of gunfire that followed his, and immediately hugged the wall for cover. He looked to the rooftops as the vampire made her escape and tried to see where the other shooters were located but couldn't see a thing. "Damn it!" He quickly holstered his weapon and made his way through the streets. The hunt was over and apparently there was more at play. He wasn't going to trust the venomous words of a walking corpse, but whose to say that the wolves weren't out for a hunt themselves. He was clearly outnumbered and outgunned at the moment, so he decided to head back to his truck and go back to base camp. A nice medium rare steak and a nice bottle of wine waited to be cooked up and consumed.

Ophelia lead the young disheveled looking vampire up the stairs, "There's no reason to be nervous." She told him in a calm and lulling voice. She could sense his tension, and it was a surprise to her that he wasn't shaking. She took a deep breath and concentrated, focusing a calming energy onto him in hopes to ease him. She never really used this ability much, but she felt that he needed a break from his own nerves. Once upstairs she then guided him to a room, it was a bedroom, and a luxurious one at that. It was clean and tidy with a large bed covered in numerous pillows and a fine comforter. The lights sparkled on the crystals of the chandelier hanging from it's ceiling. Despite all this though, the room gave off of feeling of never being used, which was the case. "Please use this room to rest if you need it, there's clothes in the wardrobe most of which I believe will fit you just fine. You'll even find some formal wear for the party if you wish to return to it." She walked over to a small desk and opened a door, "You are also welcome to stay here if you like. I am the only one that resides here at the moment, so it won't be a bother to me at all." She pulled out a small box, and opened it revealing a small pair of metal tools within it. "As for now, let's take care of your injuries shall we?"
Mitse looked around in awe at the room. It was beautifully decorated, just like the rest of the house, and was in perfect order. It gave of a feeling of emptiness, though; somewhat like the rest of the house. He turned to face Ophelia, who held a box of metal tools, and was saying something about his injuries. He nodded at her in agreement.

Malkavian ran along the rooftops towerds his hotel. He made sure to cover his tracks as well as throw off his scent with alcohol which was a commen smell in this area. Once he made it to his hotel he jumped onto the balconies which covered the front of the building. It was luxurious place his room being at the top just underneath the penthouse suites. Climbing Into his balcony he opened the sliding glass door then closed it along with the curtins.

Malkavian placed his jacket on a chair while setting his pistol in a drawer in the night stand. He sat in a chair relaxing as he began to think. He contemplated going out again to the vampire gathering scouting it out, but decided against it. He could track down those that attended later for know he needed rest.

Ophelia put on a small pair of gloves, and grabbed a metal tool. "I'm afraid I must apologize in advance." She told the very quite vampire. "This will more than likely hurt." She took the small tool, which was a pair forceps dug into his wound to retrieve the silver bullet that was lodge in him. After a moment of digging she managed to pry it out. She placed it in a small container and then looked to him. "Now that the bullet is gone your wound will heal on its own. She cleaned up the bit of mess she had made, throwing the container that held the bullet away into a garbage can. Then she walked over to the door and stopped just before leaving. "Please take time to relax in here if you need it, if you wish to return down stairs as I said there are clothes for you in the closet." She smiled softly, "The offer to stay here is also open still." She then left the room to attend to her guests again. She had heard yet another knock at the door while she was tending to the vampire above and walked over to it. "I am terribly sorry for the wait, my name is Ophelia welcome to my home." She told the vampires at the door but surprised to see that one of them very much resembled a child. First a half-ling, and now a child vampire? The night was filled surprises.

Pedr:

Eventually the door opened, after a short wait that is, and our host introduced herself. she seemed to noticed the fact that Lady Rose is a child... in a sense. "My name is Pedr my lady, and I accompany The Lady Rose" I said as I took a small step slightly back and out of the way to let Lady Rose see our host. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady" I said as I bowed my head.

Rose looked up at the hostess, she was young, graceful, yet frail in appearance. And with one look she knew what this vampire wanted, and it would indeed impede on her own goals. She didn't let her distaste show, she would play innocent for now, though she knew that Ophelia would be able to see past this. It was no matter though, so long as this woman did nothing about it. She curtsied, "Good evening Miss Ophelia, 'tis a pleasure." She said in the sweetest voice she could.

"The pleasure is mine," Ophelia said to the both of them, she could sense something from the child vampire. Who after sensing this she knew was not as young as her appearance would leave one to believe. "Please do come in." She moved aside to allow them passage into her home. She didn't want anything to do with these two, especially the child-like one. The strong negative feelings that resided in that tiny body. There was only one word to describe her, evil.

Rose walked into Ophelia's home. She knew what Ophelia thought of her, that she was 'evil'. This was good, this would mean she would stay out of Rose's way and out of her plans. She then turned to Pedr. "Come now, let's enjoy the party. Perhaps we can make a few acquaintances here." She told him, taking his hand and leading him to the ball room.

Once Rose and Pedr were away, Ophelia let out a sigh mixed with frustration and relief. She didn't know what those two were up to. She wasn't even sure the man knew what Rose was up to. But that girl, no that woman. She was evil, her heart was dark and Ophelia wanted no part in her schemes but maybe only to destroy them. She then walked back into the ball room. She did of course have guests that she still needed to talk to. She went around the ball room greeting people here and there as she did, but she was looking for the half-ling. She so desperately needed to talk to him. She had sensed that he was a pure person, filled with gentle emotions. She needed someone like that to accomplish the task she had set out to do.

Quentin decided to let the others chase after the wounded vampire. He had had enough excitement for one night and just wanted to relax. Vampire kills and unknown wolves in his territory, he wasn't sure he could take any more surprises. He stopped his pursuit and began to make a speedy return to his bar. 'Looks like things may be getting a little more exciting around here...good thing that hunter didn't notice us, or we'd have one more problem to deal with' he thought as he dashed across the rooftops on his back to the bar.

+++++++++++++++++

John was a little upset about his lost and stolen prey, and he was a little concerned that others were stalking his prey without informing him. Usually, if hunters happen to be after the same prey, then they would at the very least have said something to him after the monster got away. He found it strange that there was no one to berate him about a possible lost opportunity, but he paid it no mind as he hopped back in his truck. He looked in the rear view mirror and looked at the rolled up and covered dead body in the trunk before he switched the truck on. 'Poor bastard, probably didn't even know what was going in before it was far too late' he thought to himself. With a deep sigh, he pulled back on the street and began his journey back to the house. The hunt wasn't over...just postponed at the moment.

Malkavian woke a hour later into the knights he sat up from the bed looking around. He sighed " seems like no rest for the wicked." He said tiredly to himself. Getting out of bed he dressed back into his attire from earlier in the night. Grabing some coffe he drank it gratefully as the hot liquid woke up his body.

Setting the mug down he then headed for the door. In the halls as he made his way down the building he could hear all the mortals conversations. As he passed a door on the first floor he heard talk of a ball that was going on tonight. Then he remembered the gathering of vampires reported here in liverpool. Ealking out the front door he began heading in the location that was stated in the conversation.

As we followed she eventually ran into a crowded place, I couldnt follow her without drawing attention to myself and then she would know what I looked like, and that was not a good thing. I had her scent, and that of her blood, I could track her down later when she was in a better situation to take her down. I looked over to Effy "So this little hunt is just about at an end, we can track her down later" I then looked back to the direction of the bar. "How about a drink?"
Pedr:

As we entered the hall it was lavishly decorated, marble was to be seen everywhere, like the old palaces this place emulated wealth and grace. I looked to Lady Rose, "So who shall we converse with first my Lady" I noticed a few characters that stood out from the crowd, in the vampire community where there are so many people that are just too much alike for my taste, and for the first time there were more then just a few outstanding looking characters.

Effy nodded "but I look too young" She smiled, "I technically am still too young" She looked at Nicholo and giggled a bit. "Oh well." She shrugged and crossed her arms, "c'mon then." She started walking in the direction toward the bar.

Nicholo:

It was a short while before we got to the bar. I wondered what would happen once we got introduced to the rest of his pack, that is if thatts what was going to happen after all. I decided to just ignore that notion in my mind and went to the bar to get a few drinks and relax for a little while. This Quentin guy wasn't so bad thus far. We came to the building and walked through the tables to the bar. I waited for a little bit for the tender to notice we were here.

Rose looked around the ballroom, she could hear a majority of the thoughts. She began filtering them out, dismissing the ones she knew she would have no interest in. Until her eyes fell upon a vampire pair, twins in fact. "Those two seem worthy of discussion wouldn't you say?" She gesturing subtly in there direction. "Why don't we go introduce ourselves Pedr." She took him by the hand and walked over to the twins. "Greetings, my name is Rose Hawthorne." She said introducing herself, "And this is my companion Pedr." She looked up at him and smiled, her tiny fangs barely showing.

Angel could tell that they had given up the chase, or at least had given up for now. It was relief for her considering there was silver still embedded in her flesh. The searing pain made her ornery and agitated and was slowly draining her of energy. She needed to find a way to get bullets out, and then find something to eat. She ducked into an alley, the busy street still viable from it's isolated darkness. She leaned against the cold stone wall and slumped to the dirty ground. She took a moment to relax, then stared angrily at her wounds, she wouldn't have any tools to take care of this with. Luckily she had the jacket she stole, it would help in doing this the hard way. Using a large section of the jacket's fabric as a make-shift glove she stuck her fingers deep into her wound until she could feel the solid object and pulled it out. Inhaling sharply from the pain as the bullet touched all the flesh on it's way out. Eventually pulling it out she tossed it away, and continued this process for each wound. Once all the bullets were out, her wounds began to heal, but slowly. She rested, she'd wait till she was healed to go find food, she would be in desperate need of it then.

Madison was the first to note the new introduction as Mason turned to greet. Both the twins bowed as Madison introduced themselves to the strangers. "A pleasure we are the Blackbourne's..." as she offered her hand to Pedr "I am Madison Blackbourne." as her brother offered a kiss upon the hand of Rose "..and this is my darling brother Mason Blackbourne." as the two kept up their appearance.

Mason looked careful observing his sister worried she would seek some fun trouble but she seemed to be behaving for now. "A pleasure to you both Mrs. Harthorne, per chance what brings the two of you to this ball this evening?" Mason spoke attempting to gain insight of the purpose of this gathering. His patience on the host was passive but seeing so many of his kind in one location was never a good sign, both from outside forces and inside it wasn't common for peace to last long. His sister however found this gathering exciting seeking a bit of joy from a bleak and boring eternal life. As she took another sip of the glass she simply smiled back at the two curious of their answer as well.

Pedr:

I took the ladys hand and gave it a light kiss "my pleasure" I said as I made a slight bow. "We are here to see what exactly it is that this gathering is about, our host has not so forthcoming about out purpose being here" it was good to be in the presence of others that had far higher tastes then menial servants slaving about.

Naomi walked into the building behind the halfing and the human. With a wink she walked past them. She scanned the room and clasped her hands infront of her with a smile

Quentin had made it back to the bar and was sitting back in his office when Monica came in to tell him that two more wolves had shown up, and recognizing the scent he told her to keep her cool and just go about her business. He wondered when his daughter would show back up, he didn't like that she had been out for so long. He shook off the concern because he knew she was capable, but his fatherly instincts made him worry about her. He walked from the back room and greeted the wolves that he was hunting with earlier. "Glad to see that you two made it! What can I get for ya?"
Monica wasn't too fond of the thought of more wolves in their territory, and she thought that Quentin's approach of everything is okay until it isn't is what made him lose his family in the first place. She didn't like people getting too close to her Alpha and as she stood behind the bar watching him interact with them, she could feel herself fighting back a scowl. 'All these wolves and vampires are beginning to piss me off' she thought to herself as she sat back and helped serve the other patrons, looking back over at the Quentin and his guests every now and again. Ever since "the incident" she felt that she had to be the one to hold suspicions of others, because Quentin seemed to be taking the opposite approach and was just believing that everyone was innocent until proven guilty. She was annoyed with his naive way of thinking after what had happened to them so long ago, but she knew better than to voice her opinion...at least for the moment.

Rose looked to Pedr as he spoke to the twins. "Yes, she has been rather secretive hasn't she?" She stated plainly. She looked to the twins, looking into their minds. Their personalities different, with small similarities. She could use people like this, especially the sister. "Pedr I do believe these two may be willing to join our cause." She chimed cheerfully.

The two looked at each other as Madison smiled back to her brother as if they knew there was going to be trouble after-all. For her it was going to be entertaining but for Mason it was going to be a hassle. Still they turned back to the two as Madison spoke "Well then till our host seeks to reveal her intent how about we enjoy each others company." as she offered a glass and motioned Mason to follow her and the group. Mason simply smiled a bit annoyed but felt it was better then standing idle worrying about the unknown. "Very well then sister." as he followed her.

"well lets see here? Whatever you think is good" I really didnt drink a lot, so I didn't mind what I drank. "Effy what would you like?" I asked looking over to her, despite what had happened only a few hours ago we were sitting here at the bar just drinking. It made me slightly happy to see that she was smiling despite everything. The little things count too.

Quentin raised his hand and held up 3 fingers, "2 of the good stuff," he said over his shoulder, knowing that Monica was listening to their conversation. "So what brings you guys here? Tell me about what happened, if you don't mind." Within a few minutes Monica walked over with 3 cocktails of Quentin's personal brew, and as she sat the drinks on the table she went back to what she was doing. Quentin picked up his drink, "This is my own little concoction, it took me a long time to get it just right. It's warm, with just enough sweetness, and packs a punch for our kind." He smiled as he took a long draw from his cup.

Nicholo:

I raised my glass as he raised his, and he was right I felt it right away. I then motioned to Effy "we tracked her further into town and now we have her scent and her blood, if she has a brood she will lead us to it" I took another drink after this "and that's when things get interesting"
