As she walked, she kept her hood on. Her head hung low and her ears flattened against her head. Just like most of her race, Star was also homeless. She was filthy dirty, but under all the dust was a girl with blue eyes as infinite as the ocean, and smooth, fair skin. She had light purple hair and thin, long legs, and she had a height that remained 5'6".

Humans walked past her, one bumping into her shoulder, causing Star to stumble a bit, knocking her hood off. People now looked at her in disgust, or turned their heads away for the same reason. Feeling the intimidation, She runs away, not looking up as she ran, accidentally bumping into a few of them, but continuing to run, until dashing into an alley sitting down against the wall and waiting for the safety of nightfall, though she'd have to wait hours before that would happen.

Takios was walking around the busy street, just returning home from lunch then he saw... a girl with ears? "A Yugen." He mumbled before chasing after the girl. Although mostly everyone hates and disgusts Yugens, Takios doesn't, he is quite interested into them and is really curious about them. Where they come from? Why do they have ears? Any special abilities? And he has more questions like that. He has saw one before when he was a child and he wanted to talk to it but it disappeared before he could have a chance. He does now. He chased the girl to a valley and found her is sitting down against a wall. He quietly walked up to her before asking curiously: "Are you a Yugen?"

Star looked up at the boy, her eyes filling with fear. "Y-yes, sir!" She stuttered. "I-is th-this your wall? Sorry I'll dust it off right away and leave!" She stood up, and did exactly what she said she would, using her hand to, "dust off," the wall. She turned to leave, afraid of what might happen to her next, just wanting to go back to where the other Yugen were hiding for survival. They didn't have a real home, but rather, cardboard and wooden shacks that were lined up together to create a cheap shelter of sorts, even though it barely ever held up during the rain, and most of them would get soaked with rainwater. It was the closest thing they could use as a shower, so most of them were fine with it, even if alot would catch colds.

"W-Wait." Takios holded the Yugen girl back by her shoulder. "Do you have a home of some sort or something?" Takios asked, looking at her. HE would like to know more about Yugens but he must be at a private place like his "house" unless he wanted others to look at him disgustedly.

"D-Doesn't everyone have a home?" Star questioned, knowing that it could be taken as a yes, but she was using it to get around his question. She couldn't bring a human to the Yugen slums or hideout. They wouldn't like it there, and all the Yugens wouldn't like his presence. Everyone would feel awkward and get mad. They would have to change themselves, tidying up everything the could possibly make neater, and speak in the same way humans did, out of fear of getting in trouble for using the grammar they normally used. Yugen traditionally spoke in third person, though they changed their traditions in front of those who weren't used to tradition.

"Could you take me there? I got a... invitation for you and your family..." Takios answered, smiling. He won't do any harm to Yugens although most people hate them and be racists to them but Takios didn't mind. He and his family actually are grateful to them.

"I'm sorry," Was all she could say, "I don't think I can, because-"

"Star! There she is! Leah has been looking for her all day!" A girl with a hood over her hair interrupted, stopping in front of the alley. Her red eyes could be seen clearly and it was obvious she was another Yugen. She had sharp canines that showed when she talked, like a wolf or fox Yugen of sorts.

"Leah, please go home, I'll be there in a minute!"

"Why is Star talking so weirdly? An invitation sounds interesting. Leah and Star should take him home!"

"Y-Yeah..." Takios said as he followed the two Yugen girls before adding who seemingly named Star and Leah before adding: "Both of you might wanted to put your hoods on. I'll look out for both of you from behind."

"Leah already has her hood on," Leah said, and Star put hers on as well. They then led the boy out of the alley and about a few blocks ahead, only to go into another alley, but down further and into a large opening where five shacks were lined up together.

A group of four other Yugen: A young girl with cow ears, a little boy with the horns of a ram or goat of sorts, another young girl with horse ears and an older man with the ears of a fox. They were playing four square with a red ball in one of the corners of the clearing, until the little girl with horse ears noticed the three standing in the entrance. "Leah! Star! Did they find another one? What's his name?"

Star looked at the boy, and then back at the Yugen girl, saying,"Star and Leah, I mean we forgot to ask his name, but he isn't like us."

"He's a human?"

"He has an invitation for the family though," Leah replied.

"That's interesting," The man with the fox ears said. "May we ask his name, Young Man?"

"I'm Takios. Uh... Would you like to stay at my house? There is better than here." Takios answered, smiling politely.

"That depends on whether Takios is asking the family to be Takios' family's servants or not," The man said, "Members of the family are free to go if they want to, but the reason most of them have chosen to stay here is for rights of freedom."

"The five that remain alive and here will stay wherever Odeus is staying!" Star exclaimed, removing her hood and allowing her rabbit ears to stand tall.

"If Takias is offering shelter, then the family will gladly accept this offer and do as much work as anyone else. But if he offers shelter and more work than anyone else, they will respectively deny."

"Don't worry. I won't. I am just offering you a place you can live. You can do as much work as you wanted, even having rest there. I'm have a good amount of money." Takios said, smiling friendly as he offered.

"Then they will gratefully accept his offer," Odeus said. Star and Leah looked at Takios, bowing in thanks just as the others did. They looked to Takios as Odeus continued to speak. "The family has met many humans, but not very kind ones, such as Takios, so they really appreciate your offer."

"Alright. All of you should put your hoods on then I will lead you to my house." Takios said as he nodded, waiting for everyone to be ready.

Everyone put their hoods on, just as he said. Each one of them was wearing a different hood, and in the clearing, the colors were more visible. Odeus wore red. Star wore white. Leah wore purple. The cow girl wore green. The horse girl wore orange. The ram boy wore blue.

"Wait, Uso needs to keep her sword," The girl with horse ears said, as she ran into one of the shacks and grabbed a katana, in a sheath of brown and black. She carried it on a strap around her shoulder, and joined the rest of the Yugens who were ready to go.

"Okay... Let's go." Takios said as he walked back to his house. A while later, they arrived at a big white mansion.

"Here's my home. Please come in." Takios said, smiling as he opened the big gate, letting the Yugens in.

"Takios is a prince?" Uso questioned, as they walked through the gates.

"He doesn't dress like a prince, so Star had no idea she was talking to royalty," Star commented, timidly following behind the group.

"Prince Takios probably has enough power that he doesn't need to dress up in order for many to give him the respect he is used to," Odeus said, wisely.

"I'm not a prince." Takios laughed, walking to his mansion door and let the Yugens in as he held open the door and closes the door behind him after he walked in.

"I just have a lot of money." Takios added, smiling, standing by the door as he let the Yugens to look around the mail hall of the mansion.

"It's a big white castle though! Prince Takios must be some sort of prince or king!" The cow eared Yugen and Uso said looking around. "The floor is shiny but it isn't wet. And Prince Takios owns lights as bright as the sun!" Star looked up, at the ceiling, and back at the large door, and then back at Takios. "Is Takios sure he wants people as dirty as the family inside his home?"

"Yes, naturally," Leah said, "Is Prince Takios saying he owns a river too?"

All of them looked at Takios, amazed.

"He really is a prince," Uso exclaimed, "He probably takes baths every night!"

"With soap too!" Leah added.

Takios just laughed and did a gesture to say the Yugens to follow him. He took them to the guests' bathroom.

"Oh, Leah has seen one of these on a sign!" Leah exclaimed, feeling smart, "The tub fills up with white foamy soap and makes people suddenly clean when they get out. It's more fun with two people. That's what the sign said, so the family should partner up to take baths! Right, Prince Takios?"

"Odeus would like to take one alone," Odeus said.

"But then there will be an odd amount of people," Star commented.

"Then Uso and Usa will take a bath together, and then Leah will partner up with Braden, and Star can partner up with Takios," Leah theorized.

"Star doesn't think Prince Takios needs a bath though," Star replied.

"Then Leah will take two baths," Leah decided.

"Leah shouldn't waste the water..." Star denied.

"Then Star can be alone!"

"But what if something happens?"

"Star is such a pessimist!"
