Realistic or Modern Bennington High for Special Scholars

Roxanne glanced up and saw Elizabeth walking down the hallway towards her. "Liz, you ok there?" she asked, keeping her voice low. She didn't want another episode, not like last time. She glanced down at Elizabeth's arms. Oh, thank God, she thought to herself. She has her bear again.

"I could imagine so Xaiver, it can be quite troublesome, thankfully your case has become a lot less serious than it was" Zan replied as he sat his clipboard aside. He pulled a card from his jacket and handed it to Xaiver "Here, it's my card, anytime you need me there are several ways to contact me, feel free to use it anytime. Whether it's an emergency, or you'd just like to discuss things"

Xavier took the little card and looked over it, silently wondering why he'd have to call someone when he could just walk down a few halls and speak to them personally. "Thanks," he said and stood up, tucking the card in his pocket and smiling politly at Zane before walking out of the office. In the hall he sighed in relief, trying to remember the last meeting that was as calm as the one he'd just had. "Don't trust that guy," a voice said, and Xavier glanced to see a kid walking next to him. "Who are you to say that?" Xavier questioned the boy, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "He's a shrink! They all can't be trusted. What have they ever don't for you except try and change you?" The boy was very serious, and Xavier considered what he was saying for a moment. "Ok, I'll give you that. So who are you?" "I'm Miles. It's a pleasure to meet you Xavier," the boy said with a smile and he and Xavier shook hands. "It's a ple-" Xavier stopped and let go of "Miles's" hand, glaring at him. "You're not real. I never told you my name, so you're not really here." Letting out a frustrated huff, Xavier turned and stomped down the hall, throwing a glance behind him to see his new "friend" leaning against Zane's door, smirking like the Cheshire cat. "Asshat," Xavier basically growled at the hallucination and went off to sulk somewhere.

Roxanne spotted the kitchen clock. "Crap," she groaned. "My turn with Xavier's shrink. Isn't that fun?" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm. She sidled down the hallway, spotting Xavier walking towards her. "Hey, Xav," she said, pronouncing the nickname like "Zave". "How did it go with Maury in there?"

Xavier smiled at Roxanne and put his hands in his pockets to stop them from fidgeting. "It wasn't him. Instead it was a new Shrink-In-Training. Weird guy if you ask me, but ok all the same," he said with a shrug, walking down the hall with her towards the office he just left. The Miles hallucination was still standing in the doorway, and Xavier glared at it for several seconds. "I can wait out her for you if you want Roxie," he offered, figuring that he had nothing better to do and that it was a good thing for a friend to do.

David notices students are off on their and walks upto a boy who is standing near a office door with a girl "Excuse me, do you know where my room is?" He asks trying to be cool. He wants to make friends and doesn't want to come off needy. "This is what I got from my last watcher. I think I am in room 10 whi-" he smiles not wanting to explain why he always had the room number that was in the middle. Every other room number would have felt off to him. "do you know where room 10 is so I can put my things away?"

Xavier glanced at the boy, not 100 percent sure if he was real after the morning he had, but then recognized him as a newbie from earlier. "Sure, I'll take you," he said, smiling and pushing himself off the wall. Looking at Roxanne, he smirked teasingly. "Gotta go again. Good luck. Oh, and you might want to wipe the grease from my pizza off your chin," he said and rubbed his own chin in a spot to show Roxanne before turning and leading the boy down the hall. "So what's your name and story kid?" Xavier asked after a few moments, putting his hands in his pockets.

As David follows the boy he straightens his shirt again, thinking it isn't as neat as it needs to be. "My name's David. I've been in and out a few places. Don't really know the outside world, or my parents for that matter. What's your name?" He chews his lip due to nervousness and fidgets, counting the steps he takes with his free hand as they walk.

Roxanne's smirk dropped. She scrubbed furiously at her chin. Great. At least he cared enough to tell me, she thought to herself. She pushed the office door open. "I'm here to see a shrink?" she said, somewhat loudly. "Or a shrink-in-training, it seems."

"I'm Xavier," he introduced with a smile, firmly deciding that the boy was in fact real. And if it turned out not to be, then maybe Xavier would try medication. Two new "friends" in one day was never a good sign, but maybe he'd get a new real friend. "I've been on the outside or whatever it's called. Not a very good place for kids like us, trust me." He said, laughing a little to try and lighten the mood. After a few more moments they got to the room and Xavier tapped the metal numbers in the door. "Here we are, room number 10. Do you need any help unpacking or has that been done already?"

"Nice to meet you Xavier. You know from what little I remember, it wasn't that bad. Just... lonely. Lonely and cold." David looks up with a smile and sees his room "oh i don't-" he sighs and fiddles with the end of his shirt. "Will there be a lady to come check on us?" He asks afraid to say he doesn't know how to unpack things. He goes into his room and puts his bag on the floor at the end of his bed and places his luggage in the corner. "All I have left to put away is the clothes in my luggage bag. Seems they already got everything else set." He sits on the bed and looks at Xavier, "You're nice, I hope we can be friends, although your shirt looks wrong-I mean, cool shirt" David sighs and looks down at his own shoes thinking he should retie them. He can never get them secure enough.

Xavier put his hands in his pockets and smiled kindly at David before sitting in the middle of the room on the floor, not wanting to invade David's personal space by sitting on the bed. "Nice to meet you too. And thanks, I take pride in being the nice one around here," he said and puffed up his chest in mock gloating. "Nurses will be around in half an hour or so for meds and just checking up on everyone. Usually they come earlier in the mornings too, but since today's the first day their all busy with you newbies and letting everyone else do whatever." Xavier explained, happy to help a new student. Last year he had to figure it out on his own, which had sucked. Shooing away the thought, Xavier leaned back on his arms and tilted his head to the side a little. "So if you don't mind me asking, what are you here for? OCD is my guess based on how the room is set up all symmetrically and how you commented on my wrinkled shirt," he said with a light tone, hoping that David wouldn't get offended that he had made an assumption.

After Viviana made it to the doctor, late again, he gave her a mouth full of things she already knew and sent her away. It was the usual stuff, "Maybe if you took this school more serious you wouldn't have such a bad record, blah, blah, blah...." Viviana sighed loudly outside the dorms building and watched the newbies for a long time. She pulled her hair out of her ponytail and ran her fingers through her hair as she thought. Maybe I should go see my brother, she thought absently.

"Please, call me Zane" he said with a pleasant smile. "Have a seat if you would Roxanne" he told her gesturing his hand towards the couch.

"That's alright," she smirked. "I'd much rather stand." She walked further into the room, arms crossed. She wandered over to a bookshelf, picking up a miniature statute of the Eiffel Tower. "Where'd you get this?" she asked curiously.

"France" Zane responded as he leaned back in his chair. He spun his pen in-between his fingers as he looked down at his clip board and back up to her. "I've heard a lot about you from the other therapists. They say you're quite the handful. Would you tell me a few things you enjoy?"

David relaxes a little bit and bends down, untieing his shoes and retieing them 4 times as he talks "I have OCD and dependant personality." He looks up and shakes his head "my luggage isn't in the right spot." David stands up and moves his luggage "What are you here for?" He asks, trying to find the right place for his luggage to go.

"Ah, I see," Xavier says, then stands up and gently takes the bags from David before putting them in the middle of the closet and closing the door. Smiling at David, Xavier reclaimed his spot on the floor. "There. Now they're neatly put away and you don't have to worry about them. As for why I'm here, my foster parents didn't know how to handle a schizophrenic and sent me here." Xavier looked around the room, avoiding looking at David. Yeah, some kids like Roxanne and Elizabeth were ok with his level of crazy, but who was to say David would? Finding nothing else in the room he hadn't looked at already, Xavier looked down at his lap and nervously pulled at the hem of his shirt.

David relaxed and sat back on the bed. "Hey man, that's not so bad. My old best friend had that. He got lucky, they didn't transfer him out." David went back to the incident he had with his helper and frowned. "Thanks for helping, things are just too hard to place right. Where is the cafeteria? I haven't ate anything yet and my stomach is talking to me"

"I'm sure you'd like that, wouldn't you?" Roxanne smirked. She put the figure back down on the shelf, moving on to a snowglobe that contained a happy Christmas scene. "What about this one?"

"A gift from a professor. I certainly would like that. It is my job after all" Zane said laughing slightly.

A genuine smile toyed at the corner of her lips. "You know exactly what I meant." She turned, putting the snow globe down at looking at him, really looking at him, for the first time. "What's your name?" she asked. "You seem to have me at a disadvantage. I don't like it."

"You can ask me anything you'd like, Zane Masterson" he told her as he extended his hand to her.

She glanced at it, then extended her own, shaking his. "I'd say if was nice to meet you, but if you're anything like the other shrinks in this place..." Her voice trailed off, and she looked back at the snow globe thoughtfully. She grabbed it, walking over to him, and displayed it on the palm of her hand. "See this snow globe?" she asked him. "See the tiny people inside?"
