Welp. There's your Hero of Light, folks. Hopefully it's alright.

It occurs to me that such elaborate backstories on Aether are not exactly necessary since the RP is on Earth, but...

Well, I like being convoluted and long-winded. Sue me.

Ugh why are you so good at this.

Anyway this is great, even better than what my own effort would have been - I appreciate the use of the old Aether lore, I smiled a lot.

MINOR adjustments which I was planning on PM'ing you -
1) The Holy blade is somewhat sentient, and only seems to work at its full potential against "worthy" evil. It can also shapeshift.
2) The blade dissappears when he arrives on Earth. It will reappear to him when the time is right, of course he doesn't know that. The rest of his abilities are linked with the sword.
3) You can fly btw. When you're running at full power.

Also I was planning on using Twilight of the Gods in the RP so this works out wonderfully ahaha

WillfulWren WillfulWren Your character was the one to lead the attack on Alcamoth, okay? Being a shapeshifter and all.

No need to come up with new lore if the old stuff works great as is. Don't fix what isn't broken, that's my motto.

Those other things are all good to know as well. I still want the sword to be a Swiss army knife on Earth when he gets it back, though. You never know when you're going to need a can-opener or a corkscrew or a screwdriver and it seems to me a divine sacred blade should be able to provide for any inconvenience.

I'll add the flying thing to the abilities part.

I'll allow a Perfectly normal pen knife (maybe it's gold) that refuses to do anything else, even when it seems that it would be REALLY useful.
 
Okay. Well, I went with it being a Fairchild thing for those who have a lot of practice with the family magic (Roland can do it; Ophelia's not as practiced so she can't, for now). It normally requires a lot of mana and concentration to maintain even if you have mastered the magic, but if Shadowsbane is at full power, it's basically effortless for Roland.
 
I think I should give Rai a set of magical drums as his weapon, only to be turned into a set of completely mundane bongos on Earth. It'd be lit having him trying to rain down judgement on people, but they think it's a street performance and end up tipping him. He ends up with all he needs to pay rent for the month. He'll also be very confused at the end of the day.
 
Eventually, some other musicians join in his "performance" unasked and they make even more money together. He ends up starting a band, but he's never really sure how it happened or why.

Unfortunately he won't be able to take anything with him, could always save up and buy a pair tho ahaha
