Your character is light, yes?
You can take over the part of the last non-descript person we have following our party. Might want to give all the posts a quick read, but to summarize: we're infiltrating the Shadow Queen's castle. Hero's gonna fight her. He brought six people with him to help. I wrote six people following despite the fact that at the time there were only three light characters. I did that so new players could pick right up as if they had been following along as part of the party the entire time. So far, the silhouette that would become your character if you chose to make it so has only done one remarkable thing, which is to guard the Hero while he tries to heal some downed allies.
Of course, you could also have your character remain out among the Church of Light forces in the big siege battle, or somewhere else entirely if you prefer not to have your character locked into anything. Only thing is he has to be present when we all go through the portal. At least, that's my understanding.

There's a thunder god / oni fighting one of your comrades, one of your comrades just turned into a wolf monster to beat up an innocent little girl (Who stabbed two of your comrades), beat her and turned back
The last of your comrades just got in the way of a fight to let a dark general (the innocent little girl) live, which is kind of treason

This. I'm not trying to focus on it, but if it pops up, I want to do it in a way that feels organic rather than forced, as I feel like tends to happen in things like this when that becomes an issue.

Ehh, I kinda figured that I was actually gonna go dark with the character, I shouldn't have said Light but i've kinda got an idea.

You could have your guy wreaking havoc out on the siege lines. Or have him skulking around the castle while all the fighting is going on in the halls, though you're limited in what you can do to interact there since most of these fights are already over and we're getting ready to move to the next part.
You could also have him waiting in the portal room with Levia, another dark character.
Or do the neutral character thing.

I don't want that kind of special treatment, besides being neutral isn't really fun, if no one else is truly Neutral then I'm not going to be. On the scale i'd dsay my Character is neutral in personality but he aligns with his father, which is Dark.
