You know what I realized the other day? The tone of this story really reminds me of the old Forgotten Realms books. Some of the magic and events in those books seemed random at first when you encountered them, but they were so well written and integrated into the story that it just felt natural. That's the vibe I've been getting from this story, new but believable. Because the old Forgotten Realms books that I've read were never afraid to take magic in new directions that people weren't expecting, and neither does this story.

Still online and still posting, but felt need to process Tyren quasi-present/quasi-future plans first partly because of order but also for my need of off-ramping the wood-elves, among other reasons. Strongly advised to read the Tyren post because while there will be a span of "Slow time" for everyone to make advancements in pace with the Tyren, this is a fine example of that, as well as some projects/ideas/guilds involving the Tyren development present great potential opportunities (or at least liabilities to ignore)


Now to move in with the pursuit and Island posts... and anything else intermediate!

I wish I could help you with your house woes, @SpiralErrant -- you don't happen to live in the Bay Area do you? I am an excellent goon/henchman for those masterminds I take a kindness to.


I personally should be moving forward apace as soon as possible, I didn't anticipate the Tyren/Attolian "Long-time" posts to be so rich, so it slowed my response to the island caper, which in a way is good because it gave me more time to think (and roll) on a couple of things. I am SO GRATEFUL @KamiKahzy not just for the quality of your posts, but for your checking in -- every such "bump" is a beat in the heart of an endeavor like this.


I'm trying to get over a cough that frankly, if it's not gone by Friday, I'm going to see a Doctor about it. I'm not going to be one of those fools who isn't diagnosed with some runaway pneumonia until they're in critical condition (OR AM I?) -- just know I've been reading and plotting with baited breath of posting. I consider an RPG like this one to kind be like a show you really enjoy -- sometimes the next episode can never come fast enough. There will be times, I am sure, that I too will be chomping at the bit for others to post.


Just fear not that this is one of those RPGs that Fizzles out. It's not. Not on my watch.
