A Beck in space
Rachel was going to argue that she was fine, but he had already dropped everything to help her. She fished for her keys in her pocket, too distracted to notice the possible comedic scene of Gar walking into a locked door.
Even though they weren’t gone for long, Rachel was happy to be back home. The Feng Shui of the room was refreshing to her, and she already felt her energy coming back. She sat down on the couch and watched as Gar went running for their things. She felt bad he had to carry it all by himself, but she couldn’t help but grin at the silly display of “Doctor Gar” fumbling around, trying to be helpful.
“You’re being ridiculous, Doctor Gar,” Rachel said with a exhausted chuckle, but she pointed at the small wooden box on the side of the counter and scooted it over an inch with her powers. “Tea bags are in there.”
She leaned her elbow on the arm of the couch and rested her head on her hand, watching Gar figure it out. Thoughts began to surface on how Gar was basically homeless right now. He had an apartment, sure, but it was compromised and unsafe to live in for him now. She suddenly wished her apartment had a second bedroom. It was nice having a roommate again.
Rachel stopped watching Gar and took out her phone, clicking on a real estate website and searching up nearby housings.
