We’re still waiting on multiple character sheets and lots of members. It’s gonna be a while before we start up

Yeah progress has been a bit slow for me, but I am still alive for this.

My character sheet is up, I tried to do my best to keep my story inline with what other people said in their posts, but am happy to discus any changes that should be made. My version of Cassandra is basically a mix and match of what I know from the comics I have read combined with extra details from her Wiki page. I have established relationships with a couple of the major players in Cassandra's backstory as well as relationships I felt were obvious, but if anyone else wants to try and come up with a relationship, I'm happy to talk through it. Best of luck to everyone else still working on their character sheets, and I can't wait for this RP

Anyone interested in doing a little side RP as we wait. Just to kind of get a feel for each other’s characters and keep people active for when we find the people we’re still waiting on? It wouldn’t have to be cannon to our story or anything just stopping crime or some bat family bonding. Very low key and more character focused than plot focused.

I have been considering adding an additional thread for lighter, not necessarily cannon interactions. Seeing as the role play itself will be pretty heavy, I thought it might keep people invested in the characters themselves as well as the plot.

That aside, I think some smaller rp while we wait for other writers would be a great idea. Would you like me to set up a thread, once another person or two posts their interest?

Hmm, we could do a scenario where Slade was paid to protect someone. A task I know isn't exactly what he usually does, but for the right price I'm sure he'd do it. Cassandra and Slade could end up fighting side by side. It'd be an action heavy mini RP which could lead to some interesting bonding between our characters as they are some of the best fighters in the universe, and both seem to be more of the silent but deadly mentality and would probably respect each other simply because of their abilities.

You are very, very right. I would love to do that with her! I really have minimal knowledge of his interactions with Cassandra (I only really know that he'd probably know about Babs being either Oracle or Batgirl in terms of the female bat family category) aside from the fact that depending on the writer Slade has a harder time fighting Cassandra however knowing how the key to beating her is getting to her emotions. Or that Cassandra can't read Slade's body language due to something, (probably how everything is so well hidden or whatever I need to pull up scans of both) I don't intend on really fighting anyone personally as it might detract too much from the main RP unless things somehow escalate or whatever but I think it'd be best to get that out of the way since I think if I don't address it now, it may cause problems if Deathstroke and Cassandra see each other and ever possibly get into a fight.

The way I see Cassandra is a fighter who can learn her opponent in the blink of an eye. In combat she speaks little instead reverting back to the teachings she had as a girl. Where combat involves hiding your emotions. In this case the way to beat her is to be unpredictable. To be able to change up your fighting styles faster than she can learn them. This gets rid of her strongest asset her ability to read an opponent and forces her to simply rely on her skills in combat without the advantage of understanding what comes next. If Deathstroke is able to do that, which I think he would, then she would have a difficult time beating him at first. If she can last long enough though I feel that in the moment everyone has some kind of a pattern, and with time I believe she would be able to find out Deathstrokes pattern and from then on she would have the advantage. Kind of a the longer the fight lasts the better chance she has of taking down Deathstroke.

If the whole mind control drug thing Slade did to Cass happened in this timeline it would be weird having those two working together since Slade and her dad are really the only characters Cass has ever wanted to kill of her free will.

Oh really something like that did happen...? Can I have some context, I know very little of their interactions with one another? And if it goes the way I'm thinking it does, I don't really feel it fits the character. I'm a bit more versed in his interactions with the Robins and Bats himself.

Basically DC tried to make Cass a major villain for Tim with no story reason why she became a villain and because the fans were extremely upset about it they decided to make it that Slade was controlling her with drugs the entire time she was evil.

Story wise Slade managed to drug Cass while Batman was on his year long trip with Nightwing and Tim following infinite Crisis. Cass spent time as a killer and as a leader of the league of Assassins during the time was being she controlled and had a few encounters with Tim and one with supergirl before Slade used her as part of his Titans East team he created to get revenge on the Teen Titans for stealing his children from him. During the battle against the Titans East Tim manages to cure Cass from the drugs bringing her back to normal.

Ilikepie Ok yeah, that's really, really stupid, as they basically just made that to fix up a mess they created and decided to throw Slade's character under the bus to cover it up even though they could have used someone else for it. Doesn't sound like a good interpretation of Deathstroke. And them kind of trying to justify it with the Teen Titans involved as well kinda shows how desperate they were to fix the mess up it all caused.

So I am just gonna forget about that, and not have that as part of their canon history...
