"Nah," I shook my head, reaching over and taking one of her hands. "It's not your fault. And why did I do it? Because nobody should treat you like that, Winter," I tell her, looking over at her with a serious expression. Winter was too nice and gentle for that shit. I wouldn't lie, if given the opportunity to do it again, I would. That guy was clearly and asshole and someone needed to straighten him out. "I don't really care if I would have gotten hurt. I'm a little sore but I think it's worth it. You forget I'm the guy who likes to get hurt," I add jokingly, stroking my thumb over the top of her hand.

Winter

I sigh and move closer to him resting my head on his shoulder. "You're an idiot sometimes" I held onto his hand. It's comforting to have his thumb rubbing over my hand.

"He's gonna kill you later" I sighed and snuggled into his side, I was only wearing a hoodie and bikini so I was kinda chilly due to it being a little wet.

"I know," I say with a laugh, wrapping my other arm around Winter's shoulders since I saw that she had looked cold. "And please. Him? Kill me? Have more faith in me." The guy hit pretty hard but I was almost certain I'd always win a fight against the jock. Looking down the beach, I sigh. "We should probably head back soon, huh?" I ask. I didn't necessarily want to leave but it was going to be late soon. If I had my pick, I'd stay here for a while longer.
