Let me start by saying I am surprised how to heart and emotional some of you MAY have taken that. Remember these are fictional characters we create, manipulate, in many cases torture, etc for our own amusement. Also I am pretty sure we have a right to our own opinions and what not. So to all those emotional, personal, and those who took it to heart I give the gif above.
First the Thanos thing, well clearly Dimitri and friends defeated that Thanos. That was the one I referred to never said it wasn't based off those comics or not. Never said Dimitri was the only one who did anything during the Thanos arc, just saying he and whoever that fist guy was and maybe Augustus(vaguely remember him using that power thing) were the ones who were most useful in defeating Thanos. I pretty much a while ago said the weaker guys did get some burn in that arc. Though the center stage people were the stronger ones truly meant to deal with World Class threats.
Not every character that have existed in Avengers shows/comics were Avengers, some were people just teaming up with them temporarily like Spiderman. Not every character in this RP was an Avenger sooo.....
Also all this stuff about the Avengers being children, having weaknesses, mean to be this way and what not. Well even if they have excuses and what not its still true. The last time they "saved the world" half of it was still destroyed. Had to be brought back by one of those "Mary Sues". Pretty sure Loki's last arc was about all of that, them being kids, and their problems operating as heroes. If they are meant to be as they are then there shouldn't be a problem with how I see them.
Actually Hawkeye does qualify as a World Class hero as he is dope AF. It only took his episode on Death Battle to prove the fact he isn't the useless bowman most think him to be. Spiderman isn't an Avenger but he has stood up to some pretty impressive threats and came out on top on his own. It's like Hawkeye at least finds ways to help out the team he is on.

First off. You think we got emotional over our characters? No. We realize, that these are fictional characters and we won't cut ourselves because someone says his characters are stronger. And yes, you are subjected to your own opinion. However it's just rude to call your characters superior, unless it's for comedic effect. There's a difference between opinions, and just flat out dissing. I'll ignore the Thanos part since I wasn't there for it, so I'll go onto the rest.
The third paragraph, has no relevance to the argument at hand. For the fourth, once again, look at Speedball. Yes, characters are subjected to mistakes in order to give them more character. If not, they're just the general stereotypical hero that has the personality of a sack of potatoes.
Hawkeye, in the Death Battle doesn't really mean anything either. He fought against Green Arrow, another non-powered archer. It's not like he was pitted against Goku and won, no, he fought against someone at his level. Spiderman, is an Avenger. Since Avengers vol 1 (2013) he's been in the Avengers. Even during Superior Spiderman, it was implied he was an Avenger due to the fact that Otto tried to leave the group. Remember as well, Peter has a super genius level intellect, using his wits to fight more powerful enemies.
Overall, being an Avenger, doesn't exactly mean being an OP person. It's someone who wants to put some effort in helping the world become a better place. You may argue, "WELL, THEY'RE NOT DOING A GOOD JOB AT IT" which could be true, except, once again, flaws. Another argument may be, "Why aren't they going to Japan to fight characters from other media?" Well, that is an RP decision. Not everyone wants to shove their characters, into a place where they have to fight Godzilla. Take Lydia for example, if someone asked her to fight Godzilla, hell no! She'd just dash off. Perry as well, he'd recognize that he doesn't have the ability to take down such a threat, and would let the stronger characters take care of it.

Anyone of us is capable of creating a character of unbound power, yet these characters have no depth, no development, tend to be shallow, and place themselves on a pedestal. They are the worst kind of character, and a displeasure to roleplay with.

If you want to save the world from every threat by being an Avatar of Perfection with the power to stomp any average hero? Fine. But don't say you - your group - or your character are superior to ours. From a writing point-of-view, I'd say a no-powered group of vigilantes with very real issues, and beautifully done personalities are infinitely better than a Gary Stu who is infinitely stronger than all the group combined - but is about as interesting as a pile of bricks.
