Fandom Avengers Academy (Always open for new students)

Janet gave a happy clap at their enthusiasm. "Hmm okay, Rocket how about you set up the food onto that table. I have all the food we need in that corner over there," she ordered. "Groot how about you set up the tables," she said. Janet went over to a bag of balloons and started blowing them up. She also shrunk down and flew up to the roof to hang up some streamers.

Gwen

The day seemed to drag by so slowly.  Gwen might have missed the new student orientation, but to be fair, she at least kept herself busy. She spent her time practicing her drumming instead.  Since the academy let her stay a couple days before campus actually opened (who knew they had a plan in case a future potential student popped out of the woodwork after being displaced from her own universe?), she already had some time to explore the campus a bit.  She felt like she had a pretty good idea of the layout, and she had been given a folder when they admitted her, so she really didn't need to go to orientation.  Instead, she spent her day at Avengers Dorms, jamming out on the drum set that was in the lounge.  It was nice.  Playing the drums was one of the things that made her feel like nothing had changed, like she wasn't stuck in some other universe where she knew everyone, but really, she knew no one.  It was pretty surreal, honestly.

After an hour of practice, Gwen went back up to her room, took a shower, and cozied into her bed.  She thought about maybe going out as Spider-Woman later and kicking some ass, but for now, she just wanted to scroll down twitter and see what was up.  Unfortunately, cross-universal internet wasn't really a thing, leaving Gwen with no social media accounts.  She had to start all over with all the new people in this new universe.  She didn't want to follow any of them just yet (her adding them and having two Gwen Stacy's might be a bit suspicious). Instead, she went through who they followed and spied on this universe's versions of her friends.  She could already tell that they were going to be different, though.  The only person who she knew had the same twitter handle was Harry Osburn (@theHarryOsborn, blue check verified).  Everyone else's was different. She ended up getting sucked down a rabbit hole going through all the different people everyone followed.  Although, there was one that made her drop her cell phone flat on her face.

Janet Van Dyne.  Sure, a lot of the people were really different on her earth. Like, Captain America here was a white man named Steve, and Reed Richards was a twelve year old kid genius, but Janet?  Janet looked so subtly different, and it was all because of her age.  How old was she on Earth-65?  Gwen didn't know exactly, but she definitely wasn't this young.  This Janet was a babe.  It was totally possible that Earth-65 Janet may have looked like this in her younger years.  It was a nice comfort, in all honesty.  She scrolled down Janet's feed a bit before she came to a post talking about a party.  A party?  Gwen sat up, her attention officially taken by the post.  A party might be fun.  She continued reading, finding out that it started at 7.  Okay, cool!  She could definitely make that.  It might even be fun to meet everyone.  She retweeted the post just before the comfort of her bed sort of lulled her to sleep.

~~~~~~~
Gwen's eyes fluttered open, feeling much better after her power nap.  She sighed, laying there for a few moments before reaching for her phone.  The first thing she noticed was that she had a notification from Twitter.  Someone had liked her retweet of the tweet about the party-- THE PARTY!!  She had completely forgot about it!  A feeling of anxiety washed over her, and she felt a tightness in her chest.  She glanced at the time, but due to the stress, she read the time wrong, leading her to believe she was late.  She cussed as she practically jumped out of bed.  She still wanted to go, so she quickly got ready.  She brushed her hair, put on a bit of makeup, threw on a semi-put together outfit (maroon lace dress, black tights, maroon high-top Chuck Taylors, jean jacket, and her black headband), grabbed her phone, and sprinted out of the building,
She arrived at Club A in record time (about 3 minutes).  She threw the door open, slamming it against the wall.  "I'm here now!"  She called, looking into the club.  There were only three people, though.  Maybe she was too late.  One person she immediately recognized was the babe version of Janet.  The other two... Was that a walking tree and bipedal raccoon?  Well, Janet, the tree, and the raccoon looked like they were in the middle of something, like setting up the food, and setting up tables, and working on decorations--... Oh...  Gwen's face flushed when she realized that she probably just made a fool of herself.
"I'm... Not late, am I?"
Matt
"Thank you.  I really appreciate this, but I think I have it from here."  Matt smiled at the woman as she opened the door and led him into his new room. She was very kind, and after spending practically all day in S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ going over the logistics of his studies here, what exactly Fury would expect from him, and the accommodations he would be given, Matt was sure she'd be sick of him already.  He was sure she had better things to do than lead him around all day, yet here she was.  As much as he hated being fussed over, Matt knew she had good intentions, plus it was good to know that as far as this woman knew, Matt's secret identity was still just that: a secret.  He was relieved that so far Fury had kept his part of the deal.  Everyone he talked to today seemed to genuinely believe that he was just as a future S.H.I.E.L.D. lawyer.  It helped relax him a little bit.
"Are you sure you don't need anything else?"  Matt heard there was a bit of concern in her voice as her heartbeat sped up a tiny bit.
"I'm positive." He flashed her a reassuring smile.  "You've been a really great help to me, but I kind of want to be alone for a little bit."  The woman understood, giving him her number in case there was anything else he needed.  He thanked her again before she shuffled out, shutting the door behind her.  Matt brought his suitcase over to his bed.  He'd unpack later, but for now he just needed a minute to relax and take in all that was happening.  Never in a million years would he consider himself a superhero, yet here he was attending school with some of the most notable superheroes in the world.  It was all very surreal to him.
After a short time in his room, Matt decided to venture back out onto campus.  He didn't bother getting changed out of the outfit he had on from before (a gray suit with a black tie, white dress shirt, and a belt) and went out the way he was.  He managed to find the quad and the bulletin board pretty easily.  He walked up to the board and ran his fingers across a few of the flyers, feeling the ink on the page.  One flyer in particular seemed to stand out to him.  In big letters, the word "PARTY" was written out, taking up the top quarter of the piece of paper.  Whoever made it most have been pretty enthusiastic about their party.  He stood in front of the board, trying to make out the rest of the words on the poster.  He had nothing else planned for that day, and a party seemed right up his alley.
After going inside and starting preparations. When Rocket was nibbling a cheese curl quietly a girl came in. He jumped and his fur stood up "You people really need to stop popping up like that! No you aren't late." he replied crossly, while smoothing out his fur. Groot was carrying chairs and tables around. "I am Groot." he said, setting a table down by a few others. "Well since you're here you might as well help out, Janet can probably set you up." he said, pointing at Janet then went back to putting chips into bowls... And eating a few. Groot nodded before resuming his own task.
Frank settled in his assigned room now that he saw that the mushy lady with red glasses was satisfied. He grabbed his equipment and started cleaning his weapons after he finished a shower and some bible reading.
Janet jumped whenever the door slammed open, but she calmed down when it was just a girl thinking she was late. "Yeah you can help out if you want," she said with a smile, responding to Rocket's offer. "We're almost done but could still use some help." she said. Truthfully, she wouldn't have had as much done as she does now without their help, and she appreciated it so much, and maybe the girl could help out and the party could start soon. She walked up to the blonde girl and shook her hand. "Janet Van Dyne. And you?"
Gwen
The girl blushed still pretty embarrassed by her own outburst.  "Yeah, I can help."  She looked between the raccoon, the tree and then finally at Janet whom had walked up to her.  "Um, Gwen." she said, shaking the girl's hand  "It's nice to meet you."  She looked around at the room.  She smiled, feeling a bit less embarrassed about the whole thing after introducing herself.  "I'd be happy to help out.  Point me in a direction and I'll get the job done."  She gave a weak laugh.  She did seem to show up pretty early.  The least she could do was help them set up.
@NJN25 @ManyFaces
"Hmm," she thought for a minute before she came up with an idea. "Do you think you can get some music up for the party?" She asked while pointing to the corner where the DJ's area is. Music is an essential and Janet felt so silly for forgetting about it. "You can if you want." Janet didn't want to pressure anyone to helping her out. These three people seemed so nice, she didn't want to use that to her advantage for her party.
"Excellent" exclaimed Pym, looming over Julio "Incredible!"
The professor had come down from his hideaway, very excited at the boy's performance. He was indeed proving to be a force of a nature. The stoked scientist helped Julio to his feet, a huge smile on both their faces and put his arm over his shoulder. "You were marvelous. Stupendous even. I can't wait to go other your results and look over all the damage you may have caused to this room."
That last bit may have upset the boy but Hank didn't really register it but there was no real reason for the incredible introvert to feel anything but pride or at least relief. The room could take anything Julio could dish out, no doubt but there was always a chance of minor damage. Hank helped Julio out of the room and to the elevator resting him against the wall.
"Extraordinary!" exclaimed the proud professor, before abruptly leaving the young Julio to find his own way back as he headed back to the rumbled room to check everything over "Uncanny!".
Julia (Avengers Dorm)
Julia had headed back to her room at Avenger's Dorm after her encounter with Frank. As she entered the building she narrowly avoided crashing into a girl who appeared to be in a desperate rush. Julia attempted to apologise but the girl was across campus before she had a chance. Julia took a look around the dorm, she hoped to find Rictor in his room but to no avail. She felt bad about what she said to him at the Power Gym and wanted to apologise and hopefully get things back to normal between them. Julia didn't really no where else to look when she remembered how much Rictor was looking forward to the party at Club A. Considering how he went on about it, Julia knew she would most likely find him there. She jumped in the shower before putting on some clean clothes and started to get ready for the party.
Joe (Campus Quad)
Joe had just finished putting up his flyer when a kid with shades approached the bulletin board. He took a few steps back, stepping out of the kid's way whilst giving himself the chance to look him over. He noticed the kid was wearing a suit, like himself, but obviously nowhere near as expensive or classy. The kid seemed almost transfixed on something on the board, most likely he had seen Joe's challenge and was trying to think of an plausible excuse to wriggle out of it. Joe wasn't surprised, the kid didn't look like he would last long in a fight, especially against him, but he wouldn't let him get out of it so easily.
"I'll see you there right? You ain't a chicken are ya?" Joe taunted.
Gwen
Gwen's face lit up when Janet suggested that she set up the music for the party.  It was her time to shine!  "Absolutely!  I'm on it!"  This was exciting!  She went over to the DJ equipment, and it looked like all the technology was the same.  That was great.  She felt like it was a huge responsibility.  Music is what set the mood for the party after all.  Luckily, as she looked through the music on the computer, things seem to look pretty familiar.  As she looked through it, she started to compile some of the best music she could find onto a playlist.  Hopefully everyone would enjoy her taste in music.
Matt
Matt could tell there was someone nearby.  The person's heartbeat was strong, and he could tell this person was massive, much larger than a normal human.  Maybe he was around the size of the Hulk, or at least, that's what he had guessed considering he had never actually been introduced to Bruce Banner in his Hulk form, which was something he wasn't too upset about.  The man was talking to him about something.  Was he too chicken about going to the party?  Is that what he was talking about?  Why would he be chicken about that?  Either way, he had to play it off like he didn't know what he had read before.
He gripped his cane and turned towards Joe, looking around a bit as if trying to pinpoint exactly where the man was.  "Maybe.  I'm not really sure what I'm looking at though."  Matt gave a small laugh.  "Reading without braille has never been one of my strong points if I'm being completely honest here."
"...aye, the wicked beast was a tough one, I tell ya that, but it had no match for an angry me!" Irish descent showing, Rider puffed his chest at the slurred remark, the various drunks gathered around the table awe-ing in amazement. Heck, Nova even made some ladies blush!
After making his ancestors proud by way of drinking 'till he remembered his heritage, he had managed to gather a small crowd of Nords regaled by his tall tales of his seemingly colorful life. Taking another swig, Nova was prepared to tell another story about how he met Davy Jones on a journey to the Fountain of Youth, until a cry from his left took all his attention away.
Strange, he recognized from that weird hair and red cape, was being manhandled onto the ground by several drunks that Nova didn't recognize. " 'Eay, that's the wizard I was talkin' aboouut!" he waved, and the other Norsemen and women at the table raised their mugs in greeting. The wizard did so too with his hand, but it was more 'help a hairy mans on top of me' than 'hey whatsup guys' kind of reason.
Realizing Strange's situation, he broke the poor old mug once again as he threw it on the ground in rage. "Looks like he's in trouble!" he pointed his finger in the air, his impetuous drunkenness made him resolved to invoke the deadliest of all fundamental forces of the universe since the dawn of time itself.
"Barfight!" eyes glowing in bright yellow light, his mask now covered his entire head completely as he threw the two mongrels on top of Strange to the solid, wooden wall, the pain of their landing heard as they hit with an audible thud.
The bar was now an utter warzome, glass and Norsemen were flying everywhere, chairs and curse words thrown at every direction. The fight was divided between Nova's crowd and all the other drunks actually, with the latter gaining some kind of momentum as they had outnumbered his listeners.
Staggering back due to hook courtesy of a huge -- and smelly -- Norseman, Nova returned the favor with a Xandarian-packed uppercut, sending the smelly drunk up and into the ceiling. He gave a hand to the fallen Strange, "Come, wizard, the enemy is slowly advancing as we speak!" Okay, Nova was either way drunk, or waaay into his gimmick. It was probably a mix of the former and latter to be honest.
Helping the wizard up, he turned to the girl -- or Sersi, as he had heard sometime into his drunken storytelling-- and Norrin at the bar, "You two as well!" he shouted, before letting out a warcry as he let out a gravimetric singularity from his hands, aimed at more than a few drunks beating each other up. The singularity made their movements heavier by the second, strength failing their intended actions as legs finally gave in to the increasing gravity. Soon, they were practically glued to the ground, unmoving, but fully conscious. Rider hysterically laughed before jumping on top of a rare sight -- an upright table, eyes surveying the battlefield like a hawk searching for his next meal.
Rocket looked at the tables Groot set up and the bowls he filled. He organized by taste and kept drinks and food away from each other slightly in case anything happened. No soggy pretzels would be a problem! "I'm done over here, so if you don't need anymore help I'm going to get dressed into something nicer. Groot can stay here and watch them for me?" he said, going to the door and waiting for the OK. Groot grew a flower over his left side, mimicking a brooch. He looked at the sparkling white rose with a smile. "I am Groot!" he said, he was happy to help. The dance looked set up to him and he was looking forward to meeting the other classmates.
Janet turned to Rocket with a huge smile on her face because of how good the food table looks. "Thank you, Rocket," she said. "I bet you'll look so adorable once you get all dressed up," she told Rocket, squealing. She walked across the club looking at how amazing everything looked. The decorations were perfect and so was the music. She walked up to Groot and told him how handsome he looked with his flower and told Gwen she was going change as well since the party was so soon.
Gwen
Gwen watched as the raccoon went to leave, taking note of his name when Janet said it.  Rocket.  Got it!  Rocket the Raccoon.  As long as there wasn't any other bipedal raccoons walking around campus, she was sure that name would be easy to remember.  She went back to putting the finishing touches on the playlist (ONE song by the Mary Janes to promote her band wouldn't hurt) as Janet went over to the tree and mused over how he (he?) looked as well.  Afterwards, Janet told her that she was leaving to get changed for the party.  "Gotcha!  Groot and I can hold down the fort until you get back."
Finally finished with the playlist, she walked over to one of the tables and pulled out a chair, taking a seat.  She looked over to Groot, whom looked pretty excited for the party himself.  "It looks like it's just you and me until the party starts, big guy."
Sersi had still been amused by how obviously infatuated Strange was with her. Yes, she'd seen it in enough ordinary guys in the past couple of years, but this was different. She hadn't known exactly what to expect from the Academy, but she was afraid that it would be full of big, intimidating guys that she wouldn't be able to mess around with, and the fact that the first guy she met, despite his magical powers, didn't really seem that much different than any boy she'd met back home. The other guy seemed attracted to her too, although the silver creature stayed distant, which was to be expected since he didn't look particularly human. But overall, these guys didn't seem too different than other guys she'd met. She'd already found someone that liked her and she could probably get him to do anything she wanted. And who knows? He was a superhero too, and she'd be living near him for at least a while, so just maybe something more serious and long-term could happen. But it was hard to judge when she'd only met three people so far. And it was hard to think with the mead starting to kick in. She was just about to say something to him, when all of a sudden she was quickly interrupted.
Two big Viking types just crashed into Strange, obviously drunk, pinning him to the ground. She gasped in shock and was about to telekinetically lift them off his body, but all the sudden the other boy barged in, seemingly just as drunk as them. She began to watch him throw the two men against the wall as someone through a tankard against her back. The tankard shattered against her skin and didn't really faze her, but it got her to turn around and saw two Asgardians looking at her with fists bared. They seemed to be fighting each other at first, but maybe she aggravated them in some way or something, because they both charged her. She stood confidently in a defensive but daring position, dodging the first guy's punch with ease. Unfortunately, though, her route of escape was directly into the other's fist.
She was punched in the shoulder, and it was moderately painful. It seemed worse than it was because no normal human punch had ever hurt her enough to cause pain. But these Asgardians were strong. She fell against the table and shattered it, and began to recover quickly. Before she could fully stand up, though, the raging drunk attempted to stomp on her. In a state of panic, Sersi attempted to save herself as easily as possible. Her eyes and hand glowed with a vibrant light as she extended her hand at the attacker, whose features almost instantly shrunk and twisted until he was fully transformed into a small green lizard. "Sorry about that," she said under her breath. She meant to do something less harmful, but she had to act on instinct. The other guy was still after her; she merely used telekinesis to throw him across the room. She tried to look for the lizard, but it was nowhere to be seen.
After this, Sersi was mostly safe; a young, attractive girl isn't usually the number one target in a bar fight, and those who'd seen her turn a man into a lizard knew better than to mess with her. In fact, a couple ran in terror. The fight was still raging, with vikings brawling, Strange blasting arcane energy, and furniture being destroyed. She probably could have stopped the fight on her own if she tried, but what was the fun in that? Hovering above the area where Strange and the rest were taking cover, she simply watched the fight unfold, occasionally making things more interesting by issuing telepathic commands, healing or strengthening brawlers using transmutation, and hurling objects and people with telekinesis. Soon, she felt the strong pull of gravity coming from seemingly all directions, eventually realizing it was centered on the boy with the helmet. Whatever power he was using, it was working. These strong, tough and warlike Asgardian men were overwhelmed by the pull, many of them falling unconscious. Sersi helped him by holding the stragglers in place with telekinesis. She descended into the center and momentarily freed everyone from her telekinetic grip. "Get lost," she commanded, "or I'll turn you all into rodents!" They all ran out in fear.
"Well," said Sersi to her new companions, "that was something." She fixed up everyone's wounds, and then did her best to re-assemble the place. She wasn't the best at making large-scale, complex structures, but she was trying to get better at it. Transforming living beings or simply converting one substance to another was much easier. But she did a decent job of putting the tables back together. "Looks like it's hard to mess with us even in Asgard," she said, smiling. She loved this feeling of power. "Anyway, you guys in for this party now? Seems like it's starting soon."
Kaine swung across the city, constantly checking the time on his watch. I got time, I got time, Kaine repeated over and over in his mind, almost believing it. It didn't help that his body cried out in agony with every single air breeze that touched him. God, last night had been hell, fighting off all those hit-men. Whoever sent them had REALLY wanted his head to be presented on a silver platter. The list of suspects were too many to be easily narrowed down within a night, so he had pushed it off till he had some free time. Which Kaine no longer had, given his unexpected enrollment into the academy. Fury had never really bothered him, give or take a few desperate measures, but now he had forced Kaine to either join the school or get sent off to the Raft. Some colorful words were exchanged before Kaine realized this was non-negotiable.
Leave it to the government to get in his crime-fighting. SHIELD to him was like a very strict mother, with very defined boundaries and laws that if crossed could lead a man to be killed. Last time the Scarlet Spider checked, dying wasn't a pleasurable experience.
Getting back on track, he shot out another web-line, connecting him to a large skyscraper. Swinging himself around to its side, Kaine latched onto the building in a spot just out of view. He stripped his suit off, and threw on some casual clothes he had his backpack. With his identity secure, Kaine carefully swung down into the alley beneath where he had just been. Severing the webs, he wiped himself off and looked in a nearby puddle to see how he looked. A few bruises and scrapes were visible, but most of these other kids have injuries, right? Kaine sighed and begun the march to the Avengers Academy. Within moments, he was at the gates, unsure of what to do next. It was around 6pm, and he didn't have a schedule or map. Great. Thanks Nick. No real direction in mind, Kaine wandered onto campus.
Rictor (Campus Quad)
Rictor was still in a daze as he was unceremoniously deposited outside of Shield HQ. For a professor the man was not quick to actually teach anything. The most he'd learned from the ordeal was that Pepper had been right, this place was built for powers such as his, which was a relief (even if he had almost broken some of the room).
It was all a little much so he walked back towards the middle of the quad and found the nearest space of green grass and decided it was good enough. He dropped down face first on the grass trying to make sense of what he all had just done and what it meant for how he should proceed with learning to use his powers. The second thing he'd learned was that he'd really overreacted with Julia, all because he'd been too scared of his own powers. He groaned into the ground, glad to feel the soft rumblings of the Earth's crust filter into his tired body.
Selene (Club A)
Last minute Selene had turned to make her way to Club A. In the end she'd caught sight of the time and decided an evening at the library was too sad. It was close enough to the start of the party that she hoped she didn't look like too much of a loser for getting their early, or something.
She inwardly groaned as she entered, since it looked like only a few people were there. Maybe there was time to turn around, instead of showing up early to a lame party. But then she realized the tree in the middle of the room wasn't inanimate. "Whoa," She breathed, immediately heading over. "Are you real?" She asked, ignoring the other girls in the room as she went to poke the tree.
Rocket left and ran across campus back to his spaceship. Groot could take care of himself, but what could he wear. He went inside then to his room, digging through clothes for something nice. "Got it!" he said, picking up a slightly bloody James Bond suit.
Groot was looking at all the pretty decorations at the party when the first participant entered. He saw she was going towards him so it would be good to greet her "I am Groot!"  (l welcome you to the party Earth female, I am real indeed!) he said, he didn't mind her poking him it was harmless curiosity no doubt. Groot hoped Rocket came back soon, no telling how many people would be coming soon.
Rocket cleaned himself up, even combing his fur to look nice. He put the suit on but refused shoes, he looked in the mirror "I look good like really good, hmmph I look handsome not cute hah!" he said, as he walked out the ship again he would take his time going back.
Frank was waking from the Maverick dorm to the Power Gym when he saw Rictor. He rushed over to him and got on one knee. "Are you alright?" he said, concerned. "What happened?"
He glanced at the campus map to locate the Stark tower in case he needed medical care.
He had heard about a party going on today and he definitely wasn't going to miss it. In fact he was glad someone had decided to celebrate or else their first day might've been quite unspectacular. But the true billionaire in him still wandered around the campus looking at things. He couldn't be early or on time. It was fashionable to be late after all and he didn't intend on doing otherwise. Even if that meant sitting an hour on his butt inside the park.
That's exactly what he did. He sat down at the nearby bench and thought about random things. Most of them were possible inventions and how he might be able to build them using the school's supply as they weren't allowed to leave the campus.
Natasha Romanoff
Natasha figured that it was the smartest to finally get to know people. The best way to do was attending the stupid party. She hadn't attempted to go but at the moment it seemed like the best idea. The redhead knew she was early but she didn't care about any social standards but only wanted the best place to overlook the social gathering so she could start collecting information about the fellow students. Just because she was part of SHIELD now didn't mean that she wouldn't start files on everyone around the campus. Tasha had started of walking around the campus all day to memorise where all the buildings were located. You never knew when you actually needed all that kind of information.
The redhead entered Club A and looked around. Not many people were here yet but a racoon and a tree caught her attention though. What the heck..? She wondered but didn't show that the view actually confused her. Natasha walked over to where everyone was standing and greeted them casually. "Hey, how are you guys?", she asked and smiled friendly.
((Sorry for everyone I left hanging in the beginning on the RP. But uni was just a mess.))
Janet walked back into Club A, noticing the two people who had came in. She had changed into a black and yellow dress with a sweetheart neckline and a short full skirt with black heels on. She waved to Gwen and giving her a thumbs up, happy that she was doing the music. She decided to introduce herself to the two girls who were clearly waiting for the party. "Hi! I'm Janet Van Dyne," she said with a big, cheery smile after walking up next to Groot.
Norrin's attention turned toward the patrons of the establishment as they had appeared to of jumped on Strange when he was conversing with Sersi, Rider was first to act moving towards the burly drunk men and sending them toward the wall. Norrin cocked his head in amusement before the noise of the entire bar turned into roars and clatter as the entire bar began to fight among themselves, Norrin obviously aware of the fact that a few were approaching him to test their strength against him merely shifted towards the left before stepping off his board having it move at hilarious speeds as it crashed against individuals that Norrin deemed hostile towards him. He watched the brawl unfold near the counter as Sersi Strange and Rider continued their onslaught upon the drunk and rowdy patrons, Norrin made his way toward the bad and sat down his board crashing into a blond bearded man that was barreling toward him, "Please allow me to apologize for the damages my friends or I may cause during this I promise you we will head out as soon as this is over.." He says before his board zips under his feet and he launches in the air out of arms reach of the drunk men as he follows after the drunken Rider firing blasts of comic energy to merely keep those at bay while he observed from above.
It didn't take long but soon the commotion would lessen as Sersi did a number on most of the patrons as they fled as fast as their legs could manage, Norrin watched for a moment to make sure no one else would test him specifically before he relaxed sitting on his board and lowering it so he was at least at eye level with the group. Sersi mentioned the party which reminded him on why he exactly wanted to come here, mostly to keep away from such social meet ups like that and to do some more exploring to be frank he did have some form of discovery within this bar but it was hardly what Norrin considered exploration. He exhaled for a moment before speaking up "Strange and Rider did mention the party earlier...it seems likely to contain the rest of the students within the Academy...As for myself I think I will continue my endeavors else where." He states floating up a tad bit higher just passing the height of most tables within the area as he goes to leave the establishment right before he again gives a small apology to the officials who worked there.
Having finally disentangled himself from the mortal bindings of flesh not his own with the help of Nova; he proceeded to met out a fitting level of punishment to the drunk men that had soured his mood. Nova and he went on their way to pacify the crowd with extreme prejudice as Sersi set about undoing the damages they'd done. Surfer didn't actively participate though it didn't make him a pacifist by any means as his board took on all new comers. @Faultier
His cloak seemed to have found the board to be a sentient rival of sorts and unhitched from his neck before grabbing onto each exposed arm or head and using their own drunken meat bags against them in the oddest display of clothes making the man ... knock himself out. Strange used a mix of magic combat as taught to him by Wong by using a broken shaft from an arrow he found to funnel his magic through.
Pin them down! With this thought in mind he got his eye to make a construct of an arrow above each of their feet's before stabbing it into the ground with all his force. He tried to avoid the toes but the few screams of outrage made him wince and the wails of agony sent a chill up his spine. Once the others were done he decided they might have overstayed their welcome.
"Well then... back to Kansas I suppose?" He joked while placing both hands onto the ground. A spark set itself of from in between his hands and split into two before arcing into a full circle on the ground. He'd tried to aim for the hall of the party but a tree top seemed to block his view. @ManyFaces
"Uhhh ... guess I messed up?" He said shyly to the others even as Norrin left. "See you back on campus pal. Do me a favor and get us a barrel of mead okay?" Then he turned his attention on the portal and closed it off. Second try then! He repeated the actions and this time he could see Janet next to a bunch of teens. Okay so I guess it worked this time. @TaleekXD
He offered his hand to Sersi and said,"May I have this fall?" just before Nova stumbled around, still a bit drunk, and pushed him in."Bullet bill!!!" he yelped as he fell down through the portal and fell in between the crowd of teens. A second later his cloak floated lazily onto his back and propped him up. @slachance6
"Ummm ... We're here?" He said to the crowd staring at him oddly. Coughing and looking at the clock in the back they'd made it on time. "My name's Strange. You guys?". @NJN25 @Jessy753 @ScatteredStars @myvalentina
( @Twist Guess most of us are at the party now.)
Selene (Club A)
The tree was speaking on many different levels and she could almost hear something beneath his introduction. "Groot, huh?" She said, eye's narrowing as she examined the living creature her fingers grazing over the trunk. "You're going to have to let me read your palm. Wait, do you have a palm?" She said, looking up at the branches she guessed were arms. For the time being, she'd stay at the party getting to know the stranger attendants. Briefly she wondered if the Silver man would be coming. @ManyFaces
A redhead and the party planner returned. "Selene." She introduced herself, nodding slightly. They didn't seem all too interesting but, looks could be deceiving. "What are you guys in for?" She asked, as if they were all in prison. Perhaps it wasn't the same for the other's, but at least it felt like that way for her. @NJN25 @Jessy753 @ScatteredStars
She felt a sharp static rush through her body and she jumped to the side just as a portal opened up and a bunch of kids piled through. "Okay, now it's a party." She said, with her first genuine smile she'd shown all day.
Rictor (Quad)
Rictor was certainly weak from using his power but he was mostly being dramatic, as was his wont to do, by lying on the ground. He was quite fine if not a little dazed. So when he felt a strong set of arms pulling him to his feet it took just a second to respond at all. He did his best to stand on his own
"Ey, aguas"" Hey, watch it!" He said, trying not to laugh. "I'm ticklish!" Rictor warned, slipping out of Frank's grasp. He did his best to stand on his own two feet without wobbling, and he said, "I'm fine. I swear." And to prove it he took a step. His legs wanted to buckle, so instead of falling on his face again he stumbled his way to the nearest bench, as if he'd meant to do that. "I just wanted to meet this sharp looking, hombre, over here. Hi guys, I'm Rictor." He said, with a nervous smile. @DavidRanger318 @Jessy753
Nova had followed Strange through the portal as well, but instead of falling through in drunken stupor like most would expect. He managed to achieve some semblance of control over himself as he unsteadily tried floating down into the hall, not before experiencing the weird, flippage of gravity one might expect when travelling through interdimensional portals, causing him to unceremoniously slam onto the floor. Groaning in pain, it took a few seconds for Rider to recover from the impact (and his embarrassment) as he slowly got up.
"Ugh, sorry for that Strange." the Worldmind had proved its worth to Rider, as it had temporarily activated his regenerative healing factor to help in removing the alcohol from his systems (where it ended up, Nova didn't want to know). Though it didn't stop in annoying the buckethead in the slightest, it's chit-chattering made him rest a hand on his head for exasperation.
Opening his eyes, the Human Rocket could slice the air due to the sheer awkwardity that surrounded them and their entrance -- every single person had their eyes set on either him, Strange, or Sersi, and it made Rider cringe.
He sighed in relief, there were a few people in the crowd he could recognize -- the always giddy Janet, and the hot redhead from earlier, but those are the only ones he could remember. Most of them were new faces, but the two who stood out the best were the talking raccoon and the bipedal tree.
Well, that's something off my checklist. Truly, Nova didn't even feel bothered to be surprised anymore, after dealing with the fact that he fought against sweaty Norsemen in Viking Heaven.
"Hey there everyone," waving his hand to no one in particular, Nova had hoped it had lessened the oddness of the situation -- though, to his dismay, it only made it worse. It made Nova think of a great idea though -- why not ease the tension with his humor?
"Guess you can say we crashed into this party,"
...
Come on, it's funny right, right? Nova could swear he can hear crickets chirping.
