Raiko had a crazy smile. "Nice to meet both of you! Ya sorry about the whole... ambush... thing." Raiko didn't think that they would invite him like that. This will be the first time since he has a place to sleep in about a year. "Thanks! I really owe you guys! Tell me anything and I'll do it!" Raiko threw his fist into the air and flew up high. He almost hit a branch on his way up, then hit it on the way down. "Ow. My arm. Meh whatever." He rotating his arm a little and was completely fine.

Lew look at raiko in a weird way,"Your an airbender?" kazu tilted his head,"Yeah it looks like it" then he looked shocked,"what an Airbender doing in a fire nation village! even helping a baker!"

"Ya funny story... Ehhhh, it's a long story. I'll tell you later. But I will tell you I am an airbender, I did try to help the baker because I was hoping he would give me something in return. Meh. Just like you guys, I'm just surviving." Raiko said to them while smiling wildly. He didn't really want to tell them his life story... ever.

He grinned at her. She seemed nice enough; at least she wasn't bitter. Her annoyance at him seemed to have vanished (for the time being, at least), and that made him feel a little more at ease. Her handshake was firm yet it wasn't gruff. Rather a nice feeling, if you know what I mean. He admired her smile as she confirmed her identity.
"You're welcome," he replied, "Practice does make perfect, or so I'm told." He chuckled to himself. "Besides, wiping out
six times is a whole lot better than wiping out ten times, or even twenty times!" He gave her a lopsided grin, not entirely sure if he'd been as optimistic and reassuring as he had intended to be.

"Do you think you could teach me how to surf sometime?" he asked playfully, raising an eyebrow at her. She seemed like she'd make a good teacher; it was really all up to her
wanting to teach or not, and the boy wasn't sure anyone would want to teach him anything, waterbending or otherwise. He could be a pretty impatient student at times (not regularly, mind you).

********************

I'mma gonna go to bed now everybody! See you tomorrow (hopefully lol)! =D
Shila smiled back at him. "Sure I could, although I'm not sure I'm qualified to be a teacher. And also, I'm going around to see the world soon, so I won't be here much longer."

"Really?" the boy grinned widely, excitedly gazing at her. He almost couldn't believe it, and was ecstatic. "Thank you so much!" he added, beaming. "That doesn't matter," he assured her, "a teacher is a teacher, qualifications or not. Besides, it's not like it's professional lessons or anything." He joked, smirking.

When she mentioned traveling, his eyes widened. "You're going around the world?" he gasped, a small, hopeful smile playing on his lips. "That's amazing!" He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down at his warm boots when she mentioned she wasn't going to be around for very long. "When are you leaving?" he asked, looking up again.

"Are you going with anyone? And where are you headed first? How are you going to get there? And how long do you think you'll be gone?" He realized he was asking a few too many questions, then paused. "...You think...um...nevermind," he shook his head, a little embarrassed. "It's a dumb idea; you wouldn't like it." He grinned sheepishly at her, and tried to change the subject.

"There's no way that would work." Milus said, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at Rav'n. He stood on the deck of the small wooden ship, feeling the steady roll of the ocean below him. The two had been sailing for a while and Milus was looking forward to setting foot on solid ground.

"It does though, I tried it!" Rav'n exclaimed, his easy smile crossing his face as he turned to his traveling companion, taking his eyes off of the fishing pole in his hands. He leaned lightly on the railing and dangled his legs over the edge of the deck, the occasional spray of salty water wetting his bare feet. "It's kind of like using a brush, but on the sky."

"Okay Rav, show me when we land though, not on the ship. I don't need another incident like last time." Milus replied, smirking as he spoke. A picture flashed in his mind of their boat nearly capsizing because of the small airbender. "You know I don't like being in the water..."

At that Rav'n laughed loudly. "Hey, it wasn't my fault Mal," The boy said, making sure to use the nickname he knew would get a response out of Milus. "I just thought that we could go faster if I sent a lot more air into the sail." He smiled innocently before turning back to the task at hand: catching lunch.

Milus sighed and walked towards the bow, tussling Rav's hair as he passed. "We should hit land soon anyways." He remarked, ignoring the nickname. He honestly liked the nicknames that Rav'n gave him. There was just something about the boy that kept Milus from getting too angry.

A stretch of coast could be seen on the horizon, getting ever nearer. They would reach it in the next hour or so. Rav looked over and cocked an eyebrow. "Not like when we hit it on Cresent Island, right?" At the comment Milus let out a low laugh. "No, not like that. I don't want to repair the hull again. I didn't think we'd sail away from that one." The man said, leaning on the wheel.

"Very soon. No, I'm not; I'm meeting a friend of my aunt's at the Fire Nation. Canoe or what you just saw me practice. And I live on dumb ideas. Throw it at me."

Shila was only halfway joking about the dumb ideas.

He rolled his eyes playfully, a smirk plastered on his face. "'Very soon'? I meant how soon. Talking weeks, days, hours?" He thrust his hands into his pockets, digging out his gloves. He'd put them in there for safekeeping while practicing his waterbending, since they restricted his abilities, to a certain extent.

"Oh," he said, eyes widening when she mentioned she was going alone, a little hopefully. "Where are you gonna go? With your aunt's friend, I mean. Just...anywhere and everywhere?" he joked, stretching a little. "And Fire Nation," he whistled softly, "that's kind of a ways away in a canoe, or a surfboard made of ice. It might melt," he smirked.

He grinned at her comment on dumb ideas, but he felt his stomach twist up into a knot at the same time. "You...you think you might want some company?" he asked, not daring to look her in the eyes. "Nevermind," he shook his head quickly, "we've only just met, it is a little bit creepy, and after all, you probably wouldn't want me tagging along anyway..."

"Alright! Fun fun fun!" Raiko was still smiling all the while. He could tell that they were getting a little freaked out and he kept it that way. He needed to assert his dominance.

Amita bit into her apple softly, barely even making a sound. She then gazed out into the horizon, readying her flying bison, Kala. "You ready?" she asked, full aware she was speaking to her mount. She knew the creature could understand her, it was mildly obvious to her, anyway. The beast made a noise, and the young girl took it as a 'yes'.

They were heading off to Ba Sing Se, to meet a friend of Amita's. They hadn't seen each other in a while, and had only written each other for the past year or so. Nonetheless, the adolescent airbender (gotta give me kudos for alliteration) had decided to surprise her friend, and she had no other way to get there besides on Kala. There was no way she would leave her bison behind anyway. Besides, she'd get tired riding her glider the whole way there.

She did bring it, however; it was in her hand, as a matter of fact. Smiling, she shot into the air with a gust of wind, landing gracefully on Kala, ready to fly. "Okay," Amita grinned, barely able to contain her excitement, "Kala, yip yip!" At her command, the beast gave a small noise, and then, took to the skies. The girl closed her eyes, and leaned back, breathing in the cool air as it whipped at her face.

@LadyMarinette I hope I can use Bai for this...idk... also sorry for the rather abrupt post lol

(Long post, heads up. Posting from my phone and reformatting on my computer, so give me a moment if you please :) )

The land in the distance took the shape of a coast split by a river delta. "Chameleon bay." Milus said aloud before taking a bite of his fish. Rav'n sat beside him, chowing down hungrily. Even though he was raised by the monks, the boy had gained an appetite for meat (thanks to Milus's influence.)

----------------------------------------------------

"This is perfect, I'll show you here." Rav'n said, rushing up to the plateau top, Milus following behind. As the man crested the top he heard Rav exclaim, "Check out the view! You can see the whole bay from up here!" Milus smiled. That boy's so easily entertained, he thought as he set his pack and sword down at the edge of the plateau.

"I'll watch from here; you'll need the room anyways, right?" Milus said. He stretched out on the ground with his hands supporting his head, looking at Rav'n.

"Yeah. But make sure to watch the clouds!" Rav'n replied excitedly. He loved showing his bending creations.

The sun moved lazily towards the western horizon among the cumulonimbus clouds as the boy walked into the middle of the plateau. Rav'n whipped his arms around in intricate patterns, moving and swaying with the momentum of each stroke and shifting his weight as he took light, smooth steps around the clearing. The winds he produced played about him, waving his clothes lightly as he danced around. Mal watched the sky from his vantage at the edge of the plateau, occasionally checking on Rav'n as well.

Each movement reached higher than the last, it's turbulence extending upwards.

Rav smiled as the first of the clouds began to move, renewing his whipping and twirling with vigor while adding in more complex movements.

Wielding the wind as a brush, he made strokes through the water color sky, blending the shades of grey from the clouds with the blue of the atmosphere above. As the time progressed, orange and amber colors from the moving sun played across the clouds, creating beautiful, ever shifting lines and hues.

As the sunset cast a golden - red light on the clouds, Rav fell to the ground exhausted, staring up at his swirls of art on the sky. It had taken him an hour of bending to get to this point. The fluffy mountains and wispy valleys caught the light in beautiful sweeps of red and orange among the grey. The shape of a Lotus Tile could just be made out among the swirls of cloud.

In the east the clouds gave way to a darker blue, spreading out towards the horizon. Here and there a faint twinkle of a star could be seen. Rav'n smiled and looked to Milus. "I told you I could paint the sky." He said, a huge grin plastered on his face.

Bai Matsumoto

A loud sigh escapes Bai’s mouth for about the umpteenth time now on this trip as she pauses by the river to stretch. “I. Am. So. Bored.” She says exasperated. “Yune, you’re not a very good traveling companion you know? I can talk to you, but all you do is chirp back. I don’t even know what you’re saying! But yet I continue talking to you anyways..” Bai tilts her head up to try and get a glance at the small bird, a smile playing on her lips. “Can you at least try and scout for me? See if you find people?” She asks only to receive a series of chirps in response. Taking that as a yes, Bai shakes her head violently and the small bird takes off, circling around Bai a couple of times before flying ahead.

Bai’s green eyes follow the small creature until she disappears from sight. “I’m pretty sure I’m heading north..” She mutters to herself, having resumed walking once more. “But at this point, I don’t even know anymore.” The girl sighs yet again and rubs her neck wearily. She hasn’t even been on the road for more than a week and she’s already missing her friends and family, especially her friend Amita. It’s been a while since they’ve last talked to each other, though they have been exchanging letters of late- the letters! How could she forget that? Bai groans loudly. “I didn’t tell her I was leaving! Now she’ll write me letters but I won’t receive them! Oh how could I be so stupid to forget that... I guess I’ll just have to write to her and explain at the next town I stop at.. If I even find one that is..”

Faint noises from inside the forest drift on the wind as Bai carries on in silence after her revelation, deep in thought. The only thing that brought her back to the real world was the sudden flutter of wings directly in front of her face. And while she should have known that it was indeed her companion, Yune, her instincts honed from years of training kicked in and she instinctively reached for the rapier that sits at her side. The sound of steel sliding against steel hisses out briefly as Bai begins to unsheathe her weapon, only to stop halfway through when realizing she’s in no danger of attack. Unless her tiny bird gets upset at something and starts biting her ear, then that’s definitely painful enough to count as a for of an onslaught.

“Yune! You didn’t see anything did you?” She asks as the small bird already begins to rest on top of Bai’s head once more. “Clearly not..” With a sigh, she squats down and sets her pack out in front of them. “Let’s go ahead and have something to eat. Not very much, mind you, but just enough to hold us over. Besides, it’s not like . . .” Desperate to converse with something at this point, Bai drabbles on to Yune about anything that she can think about discussing.

@xXxKateKaysxXx Yeah I'm way cool with that! I don't really know what the purpose was behind this post.. Or why it's so long.. But whatever

Amita opened her eyes slowly, rubbing them as she sat up. She stretched and gazed out at the land below. "Hey, Kala," the girl mumbled, still a little drowsy. She hadn't meant to fall asleep, it just sort of happened. "How are you holding up?" Kala made a noise in response, and Amita looked up into the sky dreamily.

The girl rubbed her eyes, then squinted up again. Was that... a lotus tile? In the clouds? She glanced down below, where she saw two small forms. Perhaps they were the cause of this... She rubbed her chin, thinking. "Well," she pondered, "a quick rest wouldn't hurt." She patted Kala on her bushy head, smiling. "Besides, you deserve it. You must be tired from all of this flying."

Amita flicked the reins, sending the bison into a slow downward spiral towards the strangers. As she descended, she noted that one of the forms was a boy, about her age, wearing a fire nation shirt, and the other was a man, also in fire nation garb. The young airbender waved warmly, giving the two a friendly smile. Kala landed with a soft
thump, and Amita slid off her mount, steadying herself on the solid terrain. "Hi there!" she grinned, straightening and flashing her hand in a wave.

///

Sorry for being so late! I honestly have no excuse aside from getting distracted...lol.. I'll be better in the future, I promise!!

Milus saw the form descending from the sky first. "Uh, Rav?" He began while standing up. He instinctively picked up his sword, it's weight comforting in his hands. "Is that what I think it is?" Milus was never great about animals, especially giant flying ones coming towards him.

Rav'n opened his eyes which widened immediately as the boy made out the bison a few yards above them. His mouth formed an excited 'o'. "Sky Bison!" He exclaimed in delight. He jumped up from his laying position as the beast landed, the exhaustion from his bending forgotten. A small girl was riding the animal and hopped off to greet them. She's dressed a little like Rav, Milus observed.

"Hey there! I wasn't expecting to see another airbender out here!" Rav'n said, taking a couple steps towards the girl. "I like your bison, does he have a name? Can I pet him? Where'd you come from?" The barrage of questions fell out of Rav's mouth, his excitement getting the better of him as it often did. Milus attached his sword at his hip and came forward, still a little wary of the newcomer. "Hi." He said flatly, offering a slight wave before crossing his arms over his chest.

As Rav'n got closer he noticed the girl's tattoos, arrows showing on her hands and faintly poking out under her hairline. "You're a master airbender?" The excitable boy continued, not worrying about his questions going unanswered. She was the first airbender that he'd run into on his journey since his departure from his home in the Northern Air Temple. When he stopped in front of the newcomer, Rav seemed to remember his manners. He introduced himself and asked one more question. "I'm Rav'n, and this is Mal. What's your name?"

Milus let a scowl flash across his face for a moment. That boy's so open with strangers. It's going to get him hurt one day. He thought, then chuckled inwardly. Or me for that matter.

"Yup, anywhere and everywhere. I'm actually going to go with my family to this friend, and we won't be going too far, the friend is currently on one of the farther outposts of the fire nation. Her family have a ship, and we'll meet them there. My family will stay on and I'll go to see the world. And yes, I most definitely would like some company."

He nodded as she spoke, taking in each and every word, and letting it sink into his mind. He grinned when she repeated his words about 'anywhere and everywhere', but said nothing else. He stood, rooted to his place on the ice floe as she informed him she'd be going with her family, and his heart sank a bit.

He'd always wanted to go and see the world, but he'd just never had the chance (obviously), and to hear about her going made his whole body sag with disappointment. "Well, that's good," he pointed out, giving her a smile, "your surfboard won't melt." He chuckled to himself and nodded again as she told him about the ship she was going to be sailing on.

"Why isn't your family going?" he asked, genuinely curious. He raised an eyebrow, and felt his stomach lurch again when she again mentioned her journey across the world. Then, suddenly, her words exploded like a firework in his head, and he almost jumped up, fist in the air, and hugged her. "Really?!" he cried instead, a huge grin overtaking his face.

"You're an airbender too?" Amita asked, gazing at the boy before her. Well, he was wearing airbender pants at least...his shirt was fire nation though, which confused her a bit. At his compliment of Kala, she replied, "Thank you! Her name is Kala, and I don't see why not." Kala made a noise upon seeing the boy, and sniffed him curiously.

"I'm from the Eastern Air Temple," she informed him, amused at his continuous questioning. She glanced up at the man, and waved, flashing him a smile. "Hello," she said, before looking back to the boy. She noticed him looking at her tattoos, and at his question she laughed quietly. "Not exactly a master airbender," she smirked. "Not yet, at least."

The boy introduced himself as Rav, and the man as Milus, to which she gave them each a small bow in their direction. "Pleased to meet you Rav, Milus." Straightening, she held her hand up warmly, a friendly smile plastered onto her lips. "My name is Amita, and, I'm an airbender, as you can probably tell," she joked, gesturing to her clothes. "Are you the cause of that, by chance?" She pointed at the lotus tile in the sky, smirking.

"They just want to meet up with our friends in the Fire Nation. I'm the one who wants to see the world. And yes, I would love some company. The more the merrier, as my brother says."

"Ah, okay," he nodded. "Kind of funny that Water Tribe residents are friends with Fire Nation people...how'd you guys meet, anyway?" he asked, crossing his arms. He was getting a bit cold, and he shifted his weight. "And doesn't everyone want to see the world?" he joked. The question itself had been rhetorical, though it did make him wonder.

His eyes twinkled with delight when she repeated her words, and his mouth split into a grin. "I-I just can't believe it!" he gasped, holding a hand to his head in disbelief. "You really want me to come with you?" He shook his head, smiling, and breathed excitedly, leaving small white puffs of heat streaming out of his mouth through his pink lips, which were getting colder by the second.

"Hey," he shook himself, coming to his senses, "are you planning on staying out here much longer? Because if you're not, I was wondering if, uh..if maybe you wanted to come, uh, over to my house and maybe, y'know, meet my mom and my brothers." He grinned sheepishly, and rubbed the back of his neck, getting a bit red in the face. "If you don't want to, it's cool; just asking...since it's getting kind of cold out here."

Agito snuck around the bushes, and it seemed to dawn upon his mind....

That he was lost. Stupid...

"How can my parents not tell me the lay of the land If I am going to kill the avatar!" He growled in anger. "STUPID PARENTS!!!!" He shouted, and a ball of flame into the air due to his rage, and punched a tree.

"Yep! I'm from the Northern Air Temple; don't let the shirt fool you." Rav'n said, reaching a hand out to Kala as she sniffed him. For a second he thought back to the bison at his temple and a pang of homesickness hit him. It quickly passed and he patted the large animal on the nose. He always wished he'd made a sky bison friend.

At her quesiton Rav nodded, a grin catching hold on his face. "Do you like it? I was just showing it to Mal here. I call it sky painting!" The boy spoke with a hint of pride in his voice. Milus scowled at the nickname, hoping Amita wouldn't call him it as well.

"So what brings you to Chameleon Bay? Or are you just admiring the art?" The man hid a slight sarcasm in the last question but was otherwise polite; he still eyed the bison nervously. Rav'n picked up the question. "Yeah, are you going on an adventure?" He asked, wondering if she'd left her home to explore as he had. Wind is the element of freedom after all, he mused, remembering the old adage he learned as a toddler. Another wave of nostalgia and homesickness struck him, but it quickly washed away; Rav'n was too caught up in meeting Amita, fixated on her smile (or smirk rather). Not to mention enjoying Kala's presence (much the opposite of Milus).

Amita nodded, listening to the older boy's words and letting them sink in, while Kala squinted at Milus, making a noise which the girl usually took as approval. She glanced up at the sky again when Rav mentioned it, though he apparently called it 'sky painting', at which she giggled, covering her mouth with her hand.

"I like it," she smiled, then looked back at the people before her. "Did you make it up? Or did you learn it?" She heard Milus ask a question, the likes of which Rav repeated. She answered obligingly, nodding. "I'm just passing through on my way to Ba Sing Se," she said, giving a sheepish grin, "to meet with a friend of mine."

Kala sniffed at Milus curiously, and Amita laughed softly. Then the thought struck her:
Where is Rav's sky bison? Does he not have one? Or did it... She couldn't bring herself to finish the thought, so she remained silent. Suddenly, a great ball of flame erupted from her left side, and she jumped with a small squeak. "What was that?" she gasped.

As Kala made a noise Milus took half a step back and had to force himself not to grab the hilt of his sword. He took a deep breath and let it out, trying to calm his nerves. As the animal came closer he tensed up, but the gentle giant just sniffed him as she did Rav'n.

"Thanks!" Rav'n said, beaming. "I made it up after watching a painter use water and paint to make cool designs. He called it water color; I just thought it looked a lot like clouds. So I stole his idea, sort of." At the mention of Ba Sing Se Rav's eyes lit up. "I've been there, it's huge! We're just-" He was cut off by the ball of flame to their (well, Milus and Rav'n's) right side. He snapped his head in it's direction in surprise. Milus already had his sword in his hand; being on edge from Kala made him react quickly. "Could be trouble." Milus warned, turning away from Kala and towards the disturbance.

At Amita's gasp Rav shrugged. "
I don't know, let's go find out!" Without waiting for an answer the boy bounded across the plateau to drop into the woods. "Rav, wait!" Milus yelled, but it was no use; the boy had already dropped off of the raised land into the forest below. "That boy..." The man growled as he ran after him. "You coming?" He called over his shoulder to Amita, not wanting to leave her alone, even if she had been beforehand.

Rav'n sprinted through the woods, dodging limbs and leaping over bushes, looking for the source of the flame. As he rushed through the brush he nearly collided with an older boy in fire nation clothing. "
Hey!" The airbender greeted, coming to a stop with the help of his bending. "Did you just firebend?" He wasted no time cutting to the chase. "I just saw a fireball come from over here. It was pretty cool!"

Milus was still far behind, cutting through the brush and cursing Rav's impulsiveness.

"Sure. I'd love to."

Part of the reason Shila wanted to see the world was to meet new people.

"Who are you?" Agito looked at them. He looked up and down at the boy. "And if you must know, I did." He looked at the boys carefree personality. Looked happier and more giddy than a ferret-monkey. "Because my accursed parents never taught me anything of locational or geographic use, apparently."
