Rav'n laughed at the boy's comment. "Hey, it's never too late to learn. Are you lost? I'm Rav'n." He pointed his thumb at his chest. Milus caught up, huffing a little, causing the boy to chuckle. "And this is Milus. Who are you?" He turned to the man behind him. "I didn't expect you to catch up so quickly. Did Amita stay behind?"

Milus eyed the boy before them, still holding his sword easily. The former soldier noted his clothes, obviously fire nation. And from a wealthy family by the looks of it. "Don't know, I was just trying to keep you out of trouble." He said gruffly, then let a quick smirk cross his face. He didn't take his eyes off of the stranger.

"My name is Agito." He nodded. "I see...." He noticed the mans look. Must be a war veteran, and a powerful one by the look of it. "You." He pointed to Milus. "Do you fear me?" he smiled. "Want to teach me some moves?"

"Nice to meet you Agito." Rav'n said, offering a friendly smile. Milus just looked on. At Agito's question Rav looked confused, but Milus just scoffed. "Fear? No. I don't trust strangers. And I don't teach." He held his gaze coolly, not rising to the apparent challenge.

Rav looked from Milus to Agito. "Uh, so what brings you to the Earth Kingdom?" The boy asked, trying to change the subject. He didn't like the way Agito was calling Milus out. Even after travelling with the soldier for so long, he still didn't like confrontation. And it seemed to be heading in that direction.

"This is the Earth Kingdom?" He looked around. "Is that far from the fire nation?" He scratched. "I'm so irate....." he growled. "STUPID NATION INGRATE PARENTS!!!" a ball of Flame shot into the air. "I wish Someone was around to Ag-Ni-Kai...."

"Yeah, how'd you get here from the Fire Nation? You have to cross an ocean..." The boy couldn't help but let out a chuckle. Milus shot him a glare that seemed to say Shut up Rav. As the fire shot into the air Rav'n took a step back in surprise while Milus's hand instinctively tightened on the handle of his sword.

"No firebenders here for that." Was all that the man said. He already didn't like Agito; the firebender was too hot headed. I guess that isn't unusual, he conceded in his mind. The benders were all about passion and emotion, and Agito obviously had plenty of both. He might even catch the forest on fire if he wasn't careful.

"Really?" He looked around. "Then where the hell did I come from?" He scratched his red hair. "Hmph..." he looked at Milus. "Ag-Ni-Kai is built for anyone, really." He shrugged, and smiled. "Just another form of spar. No one really gets hurt." He looked at them. "Can one of you spar me??"

Milus raised an eyebrow. "It's a fire duel, a battle of honor. Neither of us are fit for such a thing." He spoke dismissively. Even if the timing is near perfect, he mused, noting the dying light from the sun nearing the horizon. It was getting darker in the forest.

"However, if you want to spar, at least do it on open ground. We don't need a forest fire scorching this countryside." Milus said, motioning towards the plateau that they came from; it was barely visible through the trees. "Come." With that last word he started back towards the raised land where they left Amita. He sheathed his sword as well, but kept one thought in his mind: If he tries to hurt Rav'n, I'll kill him.

Rav'n ran his hand through his hair. "Yeah, he's always like that." He said, grinning sheepishly. "Maybe you can show me some of your firebending when we get there though!" Excitement came back to his voice, friendly and animated. "C'mon!" The boy started after Milus, motioning for Agito to follow.

He walked after the man. "Very smart...." He said, moving to the plateau. He stood in the middle, and waited for the man. "This will be fun...." he smiled. He would not be like the teachers, he knew it now. Not like the formulaic teachers...

Amita had been in a daze, and had barely noticed that Rav and Milus had left her. After a few moments, she shook herself, and that was when she realized that she was all alone (aside from Kala, but that was obvious as to why). "Um...hello?" she called, wrapping her arms around herself, and stepping backwards, closer to her sky bison.

Suddenly, another yell erupted from the trees where the flame had come from, and-- lo and behold! --another one took its place, making the young girl cringe. "Rav? Milus?" she tried to call, but her voice choked and it was nothing more than a whisper. She wouldn't say she was scared, but she was almost all alone, and her only friends around had suddenly disappeared after just seeing a ball of flame shoot out of the trees.

All of a sudden, she heard voices coming back. She said nothing, but stood, rooted to her spot, almost involuntarily, ready for whoever was to come. Luckily, it was Rav and Milus again, and they had brought back someone with red hair wearing fire nation clothes.
Phew, Amita breathed, feeling a bit better. At least everyone's alright. "You're back!" she said, putting on a grin. "Hello," she added, bowing to the stranger.

Kesuk grinned at Shila, before beckoning her to follow. "Alright, come on! Just stay close." Using his waterbending, he created a small staircase-like platform with which the two teens would be able to get out of the water and back to land. He crept up them carefully, so as to avoid slipping. If that happened, the only good he'd do would be barreling into his new found friend, and knocking her into the cold water.

When he reached the top, he stretched and shook himself, then brushed off various ice particles from his jacket sleeves and pants legs. "Well," he sighed, running a gloved hand through his dark unruly hair, "that takes care of that." He smirked at her, but said nothing else, then continued up the slope back towards home.

He was running out of breath, that of which he liked to see before his face, reminding himself that he was, in fact, still alive, and he was going to stay alive for as long as he could. It was a shame he couldn't say the same about his father. He glanced back to look at Shila occasionally, making sure she was still there and was keeping up.

"Hello." He said to the girl, and nodded his head. "I suggest you stand back." He turned around to the warrior. "He and I will have a duel soon."

"I'm Amita," the young girl added, wiggling her fingers in an attempt at a wave. "And you are..?" she asked, trying to to seem rude. She had meant to say her name originally, but her tongue had stuck in her throat. She looked at the man--well, boy, he wasn't that old yet--, curiously examining him. Obviously a firebender, he had the hot head of one, she could tell already.

At his words, she turned to look at Milus. "You're going to duel?" she asked, eyes growing wide. "Why? Do you even know each other?" She turned her gaze to Rav, hoping he would pipe up; he was good at that. She looked back at the stranger, then at Kala, who stared at the firebender also, silently, large brown eyes glinting in the sunlight.

Amita turned to the stranger again, clasping her hands together before her, waiting for his response. She was getting a bit fidgety and uneasy, and if one was watching her movements rather closely, they would be able to tell. She brushed her hair from her eyes by sending a small gust of wind at it with the flick of her wrist.

Rav'n smiled at Amita. "Of course we are! I actually thought you'd come with us to investigate!" He said, walking back over to her and Kala and patting the bison. "You might want to get Kala to the edge of the clearing though." He became a touch more serious. "I think he wants someone to, uh, spar with." Rav'n moved to where Milus's things were, motioning for Amita to follow.

"We're just having a little sparring match." Milus said coolly as he strolled to the center of the plateau, opposite of Agito. If it's anything else we might have a problem. He didn't voice the thought out loud. "Alright, ground rules: pull your punches. We don't need anyone getting hurt."

Rav'n plopped himself on the ground, watching the two. "I don't understand why he wants to fight so badly." The words reflected his pacifist upbringing. "But he'll have his hands full with Mal. He's faster than a mongoose dragon." He turned his head to Amita, smiling reassuringly since she seemed a little nervous. "Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be fine!" A disarming smile was displayed on his face, reflecting how he felt.

"My name is Agito." He said to the girl. "Sorry for not introducing myself formerly." He bowed in apology. He was taught to always be kind to women, and the proper fire Nation way of courtship. "Now...." He turned to his opponent. "We fight." He struck a fighting stance.

Milus stretched then drew his sword, holding it in front of him and sliding one foot forward. "Alright then." Maybe I can end this quickly, he thought, suddenly springing diagonally then rushing Agito, aiming a strike at his leg with the flat of the blade. He covered the gap quickly and swung.

"See?" Rav'n said to Amita as Milus moved. "Mal's fast." The boy didn't take his eyes off the fight; even though he wasn't much for fighting himself, battles always held his attention.

"Well..." He shot fire into the ground as a form of jet propulsion, flying into into the air, dodging it by mere seconds. He then took the few minutes he had in the air, and shot two bolts of fire at him. "You're good...."

(Mere seconds? Milliseconds maybe :P )

-----------

Milus swept where Agito was standing moments before, his sword cutting through the flames. The wind from the sword wake pushed the fire away from him, allowing him to avoid being burned. His eyes tracked the firebender and noted the attack, two quick bolts of flame flying at his body. The soldier used the momentum from his swing to tumble out of the way. He quickly righted himself and kicked as Agito came down to the ground, aiming for the boy's stomach.

Kiotaro said:
"Alright! Fun fun fun!" Raiko was still smiling all the while. He could tell that they were getting a little freaked out and he kept it that way. He needed to assert his dominance.
@Alldahluvlybad1s
Lew stopped by a river. Kazu stopped and they both were looking a pig-bear across the river. kazu looked at lew,"You think we can take it now?" Lew rolled his eyes,"were gonna get hurt again", kazu wined,"But lewy we have Raiko here to help, You being a fire bender and him being an air bender would totally work!" Lew turned and walked to the left to where the camp was,"No Kazu, we don't know him well enough", kazu sighed ang followed,"way to say in front of him"

Raiko, completely ignoring them, flew over to the other side if the river and landed on too of the pig-bear. The pig-bear clawed at Raiko but he smoothly dodged the attack from the beast. He pushed a wave if air down on the beast and when it hit the ground Raiko yelled while the beast was unconscious, "oh Lewy! I found a pig-bear. Shall I kill it for food? Or are you guys the kind of people who don't mess with animals because its bad juju?" Raiko said being slightly comical.

"Fast indeed..." He said, using his arm guard to parry the kick by smacking the leg away, and shot a bolt of fire to his chest, which would lead into flame axe kick to keep distance.

Milus nearly lost his balance but steadied himself. As the bolt approached he sliced his sword upwards, the wind around the blade cutting it in two as he turned sideways. The fire passed on either side of him. "You're not too bad yourself." The soldier said, smiling wolfishly; he was enjoying this. Milus started a thrust but was cut short by Agito's kick, instead spinning to avoid the flames. "Very good form." he complimented before stepping in to close the gap again. As he neared his opponent Milus swung his sword low and kicked off the ground, trying to catch the boy off guard with a rising strike across the chest.

"Wow." Rav'n said from the sidelines as the two exchanged attacks. "It's like a dialogue; they're almost talking with their attacks." He was fascinated to say the least, a strange thing for an airbender, especially one raised by such peaceful monks. In the sky the sun inched closer to the horizon, turning the light another shade closer to a fiery orange.

(Hope no one minds the time progression. If it's a problem I can edit my posts)

He smiled. "TAKE THIS!"He shot a bolt of fire at his face. with enough force to shoot himself away, if it was a feint.

"S-sorry," the girl said sheepishly to Rav, rubbing the back of her neck. "I got a little, um, distracted," she admitted, though to be honest, she had no idea what with. Kala sniffed the boy as he approached, licking his whole side brightly. Amita turned to her bison, her face showing worry. "Alright," she submitted, airbending herself up into the saddle.

"C'mon, Kala," she said, but the beast already knew what she had to do, and moved a bit away from the others. "Good girl," Amita grinned, patting the fluffy mount on the head. She returned to where the fight was going on (sorry for being late; ugh) and took her place next to the other airbender, Rav.

She hated fighting, especially when it was just watching other people. But Rav had assured her it was fine, and his continuous talking lulled her into a calm stare. She kept glancing up at the skies, watching as it slowly grew closer to night. Occasionally she would turn back to make sure Kala was okay, and every time it was the same--the animal lay contently, head on its forelegs.

Milus leaned back and ducked (matrix style :D ) but not enough; the fire singed his beard on the left, creating a dent in the hair. "Hey, I said pull the punches!" He bellowed, getting annoyed. Time to mix things up, he told himself as he reached with his free hand onto his belt and pulled out a knife. He gripped it lightly and threw it towards the firebender, rushing in it's wake to follow up with a strike. He wanted a little payback for his beard; he might even have to shave it off to fix the lopsidedness.

(That's my last post before the roll, so don't forget to do that on your post!)

"Nice. I don't need help. I got it. Look away. This may get a bit gruesome." Raiko said smiling wildly at the youngsters. He grabbed his claws from his pack and stabbed the pig-bear right between the eyes. "I got it." Raiko said smiling again. He picked the pig-bear up and hoisted it on his back. He flew to the other side of the river and caught up to Lew and Kazu. He out his claws away with his free arm and continued walking. "When we get back, we could use some fire to cook this guy up." Raiko said with one more insane smile.
