Do you think the OP will accept a concept similar to the Legend of Korra... in which essentially a Dark Avatar is around ...? I've kind of wanted an interesting contrast for a long time in a Avatar RP ... But I'm unsure if that would be accepted.

Can't say for sure. I think if you justify your character well and make it interesting while keeping to the Lore somewhat, I don't see why not.
