Fantasy Atlantis

Julian:

"I'm fine Drake. I just think I needed some rest," Julian said with a smile as he turned to look at some supplies that were on land. "Did you find something?" Julian asked him and gestured to the box and the oysters on land. He smiled as he understood it was from Serina, and looked back at her. "Thank you. You don't have to do this much for us though," Julian thanked her before he looked over at Drake yet again, he was still holding onto his sabre. Maybe he would have the chance to take it once he fell asleep? But that was too risky wasn't it? Plus... he shouldn't leave Drake alone on the island, maybe it was better just to live on for a little longer. Heeding his mother's last wish.

Drake: He realized that holding his sabre, (I realize now that he shouldn't even have a sabre, cuz this is the 1930's, so..... uh... I dunno. ) He got up, walking about 5 meters from the water, and placing the sabre down, before coming back and sitting down next to Julian. He hoped he looked a little less threatening to the mermaid now. And for a second, he thought he saw the green tail of another mermaid slide into the water. He blinked, wondering if his eyes were playing tricks on him or not, before looking back at Sirena and Julian. "Good," Drake said, nodding when Julian said he was fine. "I didn't find it, Sirena," he glanced over at her for a second, "brought it here for us," he said, gesturing to the bag.

Amicus: He realized the queen had spotted him, but didn't really care. As long as she didn't tell Sirena of his presence. He absently wondered if he should inform King Caspian of what his wife and daughter were doing, but decided against it. He didn't really want to make enemies in the Royal Family, his career depended on this.

"I wanted to." Sirena says with a smile. Feeling safer with Julian awake, she pulls herself onto the beach.

Sirena sees Drake looking out into the ocean, and follows his gaze. She sees nothing, but keeps an eye out just in case.

Drake: He continues watching the ocean, although he is wondering when anyone would be sent out to look for them. Even though it hadn't even been a whole day yet, he still hoped for rescue. Although, the island seemed to be rich with food, it'd last Julian and him quite a while, until rescue arrived atleast. He hears Sirena's answer, and looks back at her, "Are the rest of your people this kind?" he asked. He had heard myths of mermaids, both good and bad. In some, they drowned sailors, in others, they saved lives. So far, she hadn't tried to kill them, which was pretty nice. He presumed she didn't live alone, as from the other tail he thought he saw earlier.

Julian:

"Thank you for the food then Serina," Julian said with a smile as Drake sat down next to him and he smiled to him as well. Julian had thought he was going to be on the island forever, but it seemed as if Drake was there, maybe the chances of getting back increased. He was still unsure what he would be doing once he returned, but that could wait. For now he just wanted to survive, or at least help Drake get off the island. He couldn't be like his family and leave one to survive, and the rest would die. It didn't seem fair, and he knew how unfair it felt. "I'm sorry for being so useless Drake..." Julian apologized as all he had done was sleeping and bleeding, Drake was probably tired too and he was doing all the work now. Maybe he could limp his way over to the trees to find firewood for a fire at the very least, considering the sun was starting to set in the horizon.

Aurix turned back to his father. "As i was saying, im finished with 'getting to know the city.'" Aurix said with a small amount of conemt. Most days, he was cooped up with his father receiving lessons on how to run the kingdom correctly. Today he had been tasked with getting to know the layout of the city. Which he did.

Drake: He looks over at Julian, slightly confused. "What do you mean? I haven't really done anything at all." Drake said, gesturing around. "I found a revolver in the wreckage earlier, but it only has one shot, and a bit of gunpowder. I think I could use the gunpowder to start a fire, but I don't want to, as gunpowder is highly explosive," he said, shrugging. "Besides, you are wounded, I wouldn't let you help anyways," Drake admitted.

Julian:

"Well.. I just thought of everything you know... I'm not really helping out... at all," Julian said as he was used to work day in and day out, due to him working as a slave. It was weird for him not to work with an injury, as it wouldn't be the first time if he was pushed over the limit, if he didn't do it himself. "Hey, Serina. What does mermaids do with humans? I mean... they can't be like this to everyone can they?" Julian asked her to change the subject, he didn't want to talk about his past or even think about it. He wasn't a slave anymore and he had already decided that he would work his way over to the trees to gather some firewood, or maybe gather some stone to prepare the place for the fireplace. He needed to contribute a little bit, and maybe him and Drake would get on better terms, after Julian's terrible start. He did lie to him in the beginning after all, but he didn't attack Serina at the very least, and that was a positive surprise.

Drake looked over at Sirena, wondering if she'd answer Julian, as she ignored him when he asked practically the same question.

"We're supposed to drown them." she says quietly. If she had sone what she was supposed to, Julian wouldn't be alive. In all honesty, the only reason she hadn't dragged him down was because Halia was right there.

Drake's eyes widened, and he looked at her. "Then why didn't you drown us?" he asked, glancing over at Julian, before looking back at Sirena. The only reason he isn't too angry, is because she didn't drown them, meaning that maybe she didn't drown his shipmates.

The queen thought this was getting too far out of hand. She swam up behind her daughter, whispering in her ear. "Princess Sirena?" She held her daughter close. "What are you doing? I thought you were out on a picnic." She stared at the humans, ready to dive back down should they come closer. The lobster trap memory still got to her. "Humans are dangerous, horrible creatures." Her tail slapped the water angrily. "They ensnared me when I was a young one."

Julian:

Julian almost jumped back at the thought, but he was already drowning so why did the mermaid help him out back there? He let go of the board that he had clung onto, and was hoping he would drown, but she saved him... If mermaids really were suppose to drown them, then why didn't she? Suddenly a second mermaid jump out of the water, one older than Serina and looked at them both. "I- I agree. Humans are dangerous, horrible creatures," Julian thought out loud as he didn't think twice before thinking, he had a bad relationship to all humans and now he barely managed to trust them. It was a bad sign, thinking of how he was human himself, but maybe Drake could help him turn that around.

"I-I..." Sirena struggles to come up with something to say. "I lied. I'm helping them. I saved him, and I thought he was rhe only one, but he's not." She says, all in a rush, and pointing at Julian. "I'm sorry, mother. I wouldn't have, but Halia-" she cuts herself off, not wanting to get her younger sister in trouble as well. She had gotten caught with a human before; and sirena knew there would be dire consequences for her sister were she caught again.

"Halia? What about Halia?" She removed her hands from the princess. "Where is she now? Is she alright?" Nymphadora placed her right hand on Sirena's left cheek. "Please, tell me what's wrong." She was desperately trying to ignore Julian, not very happy about her children interacting with a human.

Drake sighed, "And how would you know that humans are dangerous horrible creatures? How many humans have you talked to?" Drake asked, his eyes narrowing at the older mermaid. He disliked the older mermaid immediately, for her prejudice. "It's not your daughter's fault that she has a heart, unlike you." He knew that Julian and her were right, and that most humans were horrible, despicable things, but that didn't mean all of them were.

Nymphadora glared at Drake. "You do not want to disrespect the queen of the ocean. Sometimes, especially while I was expecting, I can be the most formidable, dangerous opponent you can face." Her eyes turned red and she slapped her tail against the water angrily again. "It looks horrible, does it not?" She held up her tail for them to see. "Look at it, human. This is what your kind has done to me. I was just a child and you orphaned me!" She hid her tail again, ducked under the water, and returned home. "I must tell Caspian!"

Julian:

"Dr- Drake!" He said in surprise to Drake's boldness towards the mermaids as he looked over to the Queen, as she had told them herself, and pointed out her scar. He felt sorry for her, and he could understand her hatred for humans as well. It seemed as she wasn't grabbing either one of them to drown, as Serina had told them they usually did, as that was a relief, since Julian couldn't swim with his injured leg and even less struggle if he was suddenly grabbed by either one of them. "Please forgive us. We do not mean to stir up trouble. We are stranded here and cannot leave. Your daughter was kind enough to help us out, but we will not force any further communication if it is not wished! And also... on the behalf of the humans that injured you. I deeply apologize for it, even though I cannot make up for what they've done. I can ensure you, that they've paid their price," Julian said as one of the pirates that had been killed on the other ship, had bragged about catching a mermaid once, but they were all dead now, so at least that gave her some retribution.

Drake:"And what of the countless humans you've drowned, "Queen of the ocean"!?" Drake shouted, mocking her title, jumping to his feet. A sudden fire had come into his eyes, as he continued, "Do you expect me to pity you!" as she retreated into the water. He felt no pity. She'd probably killed plenty, she deserved no pity just because she had some stupid injury on her tail. He sighed, sitting back down. He still looked angry. Unlike Julian, Drake wasn't in the mood to apologize to Sirena's mother. He sighed, looking over at her, a calmer expression on his face. "Are the others all like her?" he asked, a tone of sadness in his voice, as he realized, he and Julian may never escape, as they angered the Sea Queen.
Amicus: He watched and listened to the whole thing. As he heard the human shout, he swam a bit closer, spear and shield in hand. But inside, he knew the human raised a good point. Maybe the way Atlantis treated humans was unjust, maybe it was them who were the dangerous horrible creatures. But still, if this human harmed either the Queen or the Princess, he'd have to do something.

Freyja started eating the pieces of crab and patted his arm, "Really its ok mizu..she led a good life and we were happy" She furrowed her brow with the sudden change of his demeanor. She was going to say something when he suddenly brought up being roommates. "W-what? but you just met me" Its not like she didnt have room but he didnt know her that well and if he would even like it here.

"No!" She dives into the sea, after her mother. She grabs her mother's arm. "Mother! Please don't tell father! He'll kill them! Or worse!"

Julian:

"You shouldn't have provoked her. We are sort of in their debt, or I am at the very least..." Julian said as he struggled up to his feet and began walking towards the jungle. "I'll find us some firewood, it'll get cold if we don't hurry up and keep ourselves warm. The last thing we need is both of us catching a cold," Julian said as he practically dragged his leg after him towards to where he could find some twigs and some thicker branches that had fallen off. Luckily there seemed to be a lot of berries and fruits on the trees. While he gathered some firewood, he stumbled over his leg and fell straight into a bush. Well... that's just my luck... He thought as he rubbed the back of his head and saw something shining, as his face lit up. "I found some flint Drake! We can make tools and such out of that right?!" Julian shouted from the bush, unable to stand up again.

Mizu:

"That's a perfect way of getting to know each other better isn't it?" Mizu asked with a happy smile planted on his face as he looked around her room one more time, as he finished eating. "You're a very good cook too! We can like... hangout all the time and stuff! Of course... I'll give you your privacy too," Mizu said with a smile to Freyja as the mere thought made his smile seemed even happier.

Drake:"We're in Sirena's debt, no one else's," Drake said, stubbornly. He got to his feet, and followed Julian. "Good idea. I'll look for something we can start a fire with." He looked around, looking for a rock or something, when he heard Julian, "No! But we can start a fire with it! Luckily, a piece of steel shouldn't be to hard to come by!" Drake picked up the revolver from where he had left it, making sure the single bullet was ready. "Just incase the Pond Witch sends something after us, I got one bullet." he informs Julian, looking for steel.
